Just a quick note-normally I'd close a thread that reached 100 posts before the episode airs until ten minutes before so we don't go over 300. I'm not doing it this time as an experiment, so we'll see if we hit or get close to 300 with episode discussion. If we don't, then we can just leave the thread open no matter how many posts it gets in the future (within reason of course) if we do hit 300 or get close (like 280 or more) then I'm going to continue to recommend we have less than 100 before the episode airs.

^ Would it really be a problem if we decided not to close the thread even if it went well past 300 posts though? I know it's in fanforum's rules and habits and I totally get that, but an episode thread isn't the same as a shipper thread in the sense that we'll never use it once the episode has been aired, whereas a shipper thread is something that'll always be there.
Do I even make sense?

A lot of how Roxanne and I do things here are just off what we see the majority of the boards do, or what the mods before us did. As I've never seen an episode thread go to a second thread or go beyond 300 posts (most boards I've been to rarely even hit 100 posts for episode threads), so I'm not really sure what we'd be expected to do then. I have asked, so I'll update you guys on what management says.
