Thanks for the episode thread. Before we begin, this has been glaring at me for days. Professor Proton seems to be to Sheldon and Leonard what Bill Nye the Science Guy was to me and a generation of kids like me. Bill was the reason I rocked all 4 of my science Regents so hard. Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I'm excited to see these characters meet the personality who was that for them.

As I really have no experience with Newhart, I know he's important and all, but I personally can't fangirl over him like I did Brian Green or Hawking, I'm getting excited by thinking of him as Leonard and Sheldon's Bill Nye.

OMG I didn't see that before you mentioned it. They have matching pairs! Well it's like Leonard told Bernie when she asked how close they were before Howard got married. "You don't want to look under that rock."

Really enjoyed the episode. Loved the Proton storyline and how excited Leonard and Sheldon were. And then Penny getting into the experiments but not quite getting them and Arthur's reactions. So glad we got our Soft Kitty of the season! Loved that end scene. I liked Howard and Bernadette driving to find Cinnamon, though I'm not sure if I liked how they handled the resurfacing of their kids issue. It seemed kind of odd that Bernadette was so against kids and really hated them and then one afternoon in the park with a dog and not a child began to change her mind. I mean, it was nice that seeing Howard play with Cinnamon made her enjoy herself and think about a family more, but just how quickly her mind changed and then how stressed she was over someday being a good mom felt sort of odd and sudden to me.

But overall, really loved the episode and the storylines! Oh! And Penny with the little toy nerf canon.
