Thanks! The pressure getting to Amy already sounds like something worth seeing. Still can't make up my mind if I want to see Shamy get the big prize or have to learn to carry on without it. Either one has potential to be satisfying. GOD I AM NOT READY FOR THIS TO END!

This one was nice - I really liked the contrast of the two sensory deprivation tanks. Howard mostly annoyed me in the scooter plot, but I liked the bit with Burt at the end. And I hope we see a continuation of Amy and Ms. Davis teaming up.

Soft Kitty lives! I don't envy anyone who feels that millions of people's hopes and dreams are pinned to their success. Amy should know that she is inspiring win or lose.
The scooter reminded me a lot of the 3d printer incident but the stakes at least from Bernadette's view are higher now.

One small issue I had with the storyline of Amy freaking out - though I understand your mind making things a way bigger deal/exaggerating stuff 100% - was it was relying pretty heavily on the idea that women everywhere even know she's up for a Nobel Prize. Even in the age of the internet, and even at 26 years old, I don't know that I could name the people who most recently lost the Nobel Prize. I don't even know who is nominated, I just know who wins. And while most girls that age do know what a Nobel Prize is, I can't imagine that many of them follow it so closely that they would know all the details of the nominees to the point where they would already be attaching themselves to Amy in a role model way. I know she's done all those podcasts, and maybe I'm not giving kids enough credit, but it's not like Nobel nominees are widely known and discussed in general.

This episode didn't really hold my attention... Which maybe isn't a fair assessment, because it was competing with some ridiculous memes on facebook that have been monopolizing my attention for the past 24+ hours. So I'll definitely need to give it another watch when I'm not as distracted.

Whimsical Elf

This was a good episode overall. The visions in the sensory deprivation chambers were a bit weird for me, in that the voice-overs/inner thoughts don't fit within the usual style of the show, so I found that section a bit jarring. I did enjoy Sheldon's Mandelbrot sets, though.

I was happy with the way Amy's storyline played out in the end, because at one point I was worried they were going to have her back out of the Nobel and allow the 3 male physicists to go in for it together. It was good to see her come out stronger in the end and speak up for herself.

Regina King and Joshua Malina are always good to see.

For the Howard storyline, I sympathized with him and was hoping they'd allow him to regain a little bit of his old self with the scooter. I guess Bernadette has well-intentioned reasons, but it's only a scooter for heaven's sake, not a Harley Davidson!

More of Leonard and Penny trying to be supportive friends to Shamy this week - they've learned so much about how to handle them. It's nice, but they could probably get more out of these interactions.

Finally, Sheldon sings Amy Soft Kitty, and I can just hear the collective sighs of Shamydom.
