I don't think the Nobel committee pays any attention to campaigns. Nominations for the physics prize are only accepted from people who are invited by the committee to nominate - which is mostly prominent physics professors and Nobel Laureates. Nominations are kept secret for 50 years, so there is no way to know if Hawking has ever been nominated - but I'd be very surprised if he hasn't.

btw, I thought it was his forth appearance on the show until I read Brian Posehns IG entry where he said he will play Bert for the fifth time. I can't remember Bert being in this episode at all.
He was the guy Raj asked to move away in the library because he had his date with Lucy

I finally just watched the episode - enjoyed it more than I thought I would!

The stuff with Howard's remote-controlled Hawking was great - loved when he said his eyes lit up!

Saw a rerun of this episode. I liked it more on a second viewing, laughing at every injury Sheldon suffered (Leonard: "Just picture the 3 Stooges, minus 2 of the Stooges"). Not a home run, like others this season. Though RC Stephen Hawking (which might be the most hilariously offensive thing this show has done, which of course means Hawking IRL loved it! ) almost makes it one.

I felt bad for laughing at the RC Hawking, but it was just so damn hilarious. Have you ever seen the LEGO Stephen Hawking?

I watched it on Netflix two days ago. What a funny episode Sheldon was hysterical
