Well, I spoke too soon! Just found out were switching to a modified schedule, so I only work two days this week, and three days next week. And then probably continue the same pattern after that if it continues.

My dad hasn't left the house in five days now and I am 100% going to go crazy during this social distancing period.

My dad wanted to go to the driving range this morning to hit golf balls, but I talked him out of it. I couldn't talk him out of his plans to golf with two friends tomorrow morning, but thankfully due to new restrictions the golf course will probably be closed, so they finally cancelled those plans.

Crazy times. It's gonna take some time until the lockdowns will take effect and for the daily deaths to decrease in numbers, as we're still in the first "wave" of infections from before the lockdown, especially Europe and the US. This could get nasty very soon. Bascially what's happening in Italy right now.

I have to file for unemployment because Kindercare wont pay for what is going on

I had to drive to work Thursday and Friday this week, and the number of cars on the road was only slightly less than normal. But now that we've got stricter orders here in California, it'll be interesting to see what the roads look like next week.

I hope people are going to take this seriously because for now, it looks like they don't. Apparently there was a lot of people at the beach yesterday, not social distancing at all. I went to the park for a walk and it was the same.

So my unemployment claim just expired because I got a new job - I find out one day later that under state mandate my job is closed for at least three weeks AND my new boss has the virus. Just yesterday I was thinking my mental health couldn't get worse, and now I don't even know what to do with an inability to pay my bills on top of this. My savings were eliminated the 15 weeks I was unemployed.

Isn't there some grant from the state you can apply to because of the virus? I know my roommate did that, but it's in CA (an dI don't know exactly what it was)

Right now in my state it's very confusing as to what the options are, our governor has done a good job in some areas relating to this and majorly has dropped the ball in others. I've contacted the unemployment office but I'm not sure how it's all working.
