I'm so glad you had a great experience in China. Coincidentally, my dad recently went on a trip there as well to visit his folks for the first time in years

China is a country I would love to go to, if I wasn't so wigged out by international travel.

I can barely handle flying domestic.

Yes that flight was a bit exhausting. From Frankfurt to Shanghai it took about 11 hours. The flight to China was during the night and even if I didn't sleep very much I liked it more as the flight back from China who took place during daytime. My day had 36 hours and I didn't sleep at all. The closed the windows and it was dark but I wasn't tired and I spend my time with watching movies and playing video games.

China is an interesting country with many historical sides, it's a whole other world - but that is why I travel, I want to get to know other cultures and their way of livings. I probably saw a little glimpse and only the places they want the tourists to see (the big cities and not the country life) but what we saw was impressive. And a sort of a culture shock because I realized China is a lot more technical advanced than my country and probably the rest of the western world. And I'm not sure we will keep up with them.

It's far from a perfect world over there and they have lots of problems but this isn't hold them back and to me it looked like they always try to work on a solution.

In the Shandong province~ I've also got some relatives in Beijing, which isn't too far away.

Sounds like an awesome trip! The only part of Asia I've been to is Turkey, so I'd love to visit more!

I'm gonna be away for a little bit, at least until next Sunday but possibly until next Friday doing some fun things and being very busy. Be good kiddos for Roxanne please.

This week is the 15th anniversary of Wicked on Broadway, and I'm feeling all nostalgic about the show now. About 10 years ago it was my biggest obsession. It's gonna be back in LA super soon, and I'd decided I wasn't gonna see it this time around because money, but it's so tempting....

I've got my first quidditch tournament of the season this weekend! So I'll be away the next few days. I've requested an MST to help out over the weekend, since Nicole is also gone. Don't burn the place down while we're both away!
