I finished the X-Files and I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!! Season 9 was hard to get through but I actually like Reyes and the finale was wonderful!!!

I'm still on season two, but I am almost finished with it. Ice and Squeeze are probably still my favorites, though. There's been bits from S2 I liked but nothing has stood out to be as being OMGWOW.
In other news, I'm super excited because last night I found a fantastic deal on airfare and booked my flight to California for February, I'll be able to spend almost a full week with Roxanne!  I'm leaving just about a week after my birthday so I'm considering it my present to myself.__________________

I don't watch parades, I don't find them particularly interesting. I did enjoy playing my flute or piccolo in festival parades for my town, but just because I enjoyed all the things we did during it.

I'm not a big fan of parades, but I do enjoy watching the Rose Parade. It's got the unique thing of all the floats being made of flowers - which means they are different every year, and I'm just fascinating by the intricate detail work they require.

We only have a parade - ok, sort of - on carnival.
I was a member once but most of the time I watch from the our office windows at work__________________

I don't think parades are a strictly American thing, but they are very popular here. Even small towns will have parades for certain holidays. When I was about 10 we lived in a very small town that had a parade for some holiday - I don't remember which. The high school band marched down the main street - which was all of about 4 blocks - with the fire department and some clowns from the local Masonic Temple. There were also cars decorated by local businesses.
