Nah, we saw that coming. Unfortunately. But man, what a horrible day yesterday was. I stayed up so late last night partly because I couldn't sleep but partly because my vote was one of the ones they were trying to get thrown out and even though I knew they were going to fail, it still felt like a small victory when the objection failed. And as much as I despise so many people in the House and Senate I commend them for doing their jobs and reconvening as soon as it was possible to do so.

Yeah, I'm glad they powered through and got the job done, after what just have been the longest day ever for them.

I feel like the 25th is pretty unlikely at this point, but here's hoping they make the move to impeach.

If he's impeached and convicted (unlikely but far more possible than a year ago) he loses his pension, his security detail, AND his ability to run again in 2024. Honestly I'm far more afraid of Junior than him, but I'd still like to see that.

Junior scares me more than the rest of that family combined. But it is possible he could be in prison by 2024 which would complicate him running. Even if Trump pardons him that doesn't mean he can't be tried for state/municipal criminal activity.

My kind of "LOL moment" this morning, I'm (finally) finishing the book "The Flight Attendant", and there's this moment where Cassie is in her hotel room in Rome:

"Finally she turned on the television and found the stations from America. She sat against the headboard with the hang beside her and watched an old sitcom about brilliant young physicists who were socially awkward."
