Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customizing message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or color suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colors will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colors will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customized look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customized will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customization process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Rae or Mel a PM or ask the Team on the message board customization thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customized.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colors get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I like the background color we have now, it's very relaxing for my eyes. I'm also posting on the X-files board and I have a lot of problems with the dark colour.
I think there is no need to change it here, but that is only my opinion

Yes it does. I presume that is something everyone will want and it is why the board was suggested to us to look at recustomizing the board sooner.

Do you have any picture suggestions? I was having a look around last week and only found a group shot of all seven characters and individual ones for the original five who are currently represented. Are there individual promotional pictures for Amy and Bernadette?

We no longer do dark boards so you do not need to worry about changes made to something like the X Files. There are endless possibilities of colour combinations which could be used and still be soft on the eyes. What sort of colours remind you of the show?

I agree on the color scheme - I'm happy with the current colors. And I don't think there are any colors that are iconic to the show. About the only time color really comes into it is Sheldon's shirts. And there are too many reasons NOT to use that. It's too specific to one character, there are way too many colors and they tend to be very vibrant colors - that would not be easy on the eyes.

Thank you for those . Unfortunately some of them are shots from the show and cut off so they cannot be used but I am sure that the others will help us out still. Does anyone know of any HQ pictures of the characters (either just the two girls or all seven)?

For me blue jumps out as a colour for the show but I am not sure why. It could be just a colour I have seen used a lot in promotion for the show and it is also the colour of a box set for the show too. That and bright colours like Sheldon's shirts and Penny's apartment (and I believe between scenes they use different bright colours?). Bright colours will obviously hurt eyes (like you said) but we could still do muted versions of other colours than the green, cream, and purple. Maybe add in some colours like orange, yellow, blue, and pink as well at least to the image? Just to show that this show is colourful and fun? Please do not take this as me saying you cannot keep these sorts of colours as that is fine, I just want to see if I can inspire other thoughts as you have a chance to change things up if you like and I would hate for you to later think that maybe you would have liked us to do more than update the graphic and make minor changes to the colouring (with any new graphic, even keeping the same colour scheme there will at least be minor changes). We do understand that the most important thing that you want done is having Amy and Bernadette added in though .

I like the background color we have now, too, just because it's really nice to look at, but I agree blue would work. I'm so thrilled we're getting this re-done though, so we can have all seven people featured!

Blue would be ok, I think. I clicked randomly through some other boards. The purple-blueish colour in the header of the Hannibal board is cool. I also like the blue color from CSI, NCIS or Jessica Szohr. What I don't like so much the is the blue from Criminal Minds or the colour sheme of the David Boreanaz board

I also like our current colour scheme for the board, as it's both quirky but not too vibrant or dominant, though, I agree, that a shade of blue could work.

I like all three of those - the first one is my favorite, then the third, then the second. What do you guys all think?

I feel like I associate red with the show a lot, actually - at least partially because they often have the word "Bang" stand out in red in their promotional material and DVD packaging.

And while muted colors as a whole are easier on the eyes for a message board, I'd still like to see some kind of bright accent to help represent the bright comic-like color scheme on the show.

To be fair, it could look a million different ways depending on how the banner turns out. But the first one focuses more on the blue, while the second includes purple and the third goes more a green/blue route.
