Thanks for sharing! That was so funny. I actually love The Little Mermaid and most other Disney Princess films. I do however very much agree with all the points she's making - much more so than some of the points she gave for Frozen  __________________

Okay, so as usual I'm at work and have not yet seen Mayim's vlog.
Is she discussing the disney version or a version closer to Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale "the little mermaid"? Because I don't like how the fairytale loses its essential meaning by giving it a happy end in Disney's film. Looking forward to watching it after work. __________________

She recently saw the Disney movie and that's what she complained about too Franziska, that the whole movie made no sense because of the Disney fairytale ending

Okay so I finally watched the blog. I agree with Mayim, even I cannot say the Disney movie disagrees with me as much as it did Mayim (I also think that her strong opinion very much influences that of her sons as well) and I used to like it as a kid because of the pretty songs -though I always liked the witches song (poor unfortunate souls) best and used to be very much alone with that opinion.
Mayim must've gotten quite the shirt storm over it - I read her rant on Facebook even before I saw that the blog was about. __________________

Now here's an animated film she loves!
missmayim: A talking monkey, a beetle samurai warrior and a magical boy with music, stories, courage and love on his side. One of the most beautiful gripping movies i have seen in a very very long time. Kubo and the Two Strings has to be experienced to believe its beauty and magic. Holy moly. Go see it!!! I really wanna see this movie too when it comes out! It looks really interesting  __________________
