Hi all can someone with Amex get Pucknut and I tickets for the Monday night show? I'll be happy to mail the money right away or square up at the Sunday dinner.
thanks

Also is anybody going to the panel discussions? Exactly what are the Panel Discussions?
Hey Carol! I'd like to know too, since I've never been to anything like this before. I'd like to get tickets to the panel discussions too, even if Jason doesn't attend I still think it would be interesting. Did any of the Sonoma attendees attend a panel discussion? Have any insights? Thanks!

Liz - great start to the thread.

I'd like to add my thanks too, to everyone who's helping make this an event I'm proud and happy to attend. Oh, and excited too!

Hey guys...

*deep breath*
Monday the 3rd is my last day of classes which I was planning on skipping, but now my teacher for my class at 1:40 says we are going to have the final on the 3rd instead of finals week! Not good. Say I take the test at 1:40, I'll probably be able to make the 3pm bus, but then that puts me at port auth at 5pm, which is when the movie starts!!!
I'm going to talk to my teacher and see if there is any way I can take the test earlier and I'll let you guys know!!! Everyone cross your fingers for me!!!!

Oh no Danielle I hope you can get out of it!!!! Make something up, like a family thing that you can not get out of

Scottie I don't think the panel discussions talk about the specific movie. I think T said something that after the movie sometimes there is a Q & A.

If you go to the Tribeca site (tribecafilmfestival.com) and open their PDF program guide (pages 24-25) all the panel discussion topics and schedules are listed there. Panel discussions are experts sitting at a long table and talking about various film-related topics for an audience, sometimes taking questions from the audience too. Producer Gary Marshall is doing one, Normal Lear (who did 'All in the Family') is giving one, various talks on various topics. I think they are mostly on the first and last weekends.

Add me to the list for Monday & Tuesday showings.

Does anyone know what a Gala presentation is? I see they have two on Saturday night and I was wondering if this is one of their 'red carpet' events.

Liz ~ Good pointers on how to act at the end of the movie

I must come here more often!
1. I do plan to go to the Monday screening, so put me on the list. HOwever, I will be coming from work so I won't be able to make lunch on Monday. I plan to go to Friday screening as well.

2. Count me in for the weekend dinners.

3. I'll volunteer as a tour guide if you let me know what you want to see. (especially Museums, Lincoln Center).

4. Do we need an Amex card? I was going to order tix on April 26 when single tickets go on sale. Have I missed something? (I don't have an Amex card)

5. If anyone wants me to order them tickets on 4/26 (Teetee, I'd be happy to order some for you) say the word.

6. If this hasn't been mentioned before - From Newark Airport, there is a train connection to Penn Station, NY. It's not too expensive. It also stops at Penn Station, Newark, NJ. Don't know if that's convenient for folks staying in NJ.

7. I have been to the New York Film Festival. The stars and director came out before the movie begins and said a few words. There was only 1 Q&A after a film that I recall. But I have never been to the Tribeca Film Festival. So - get seats closer to the front if you have a choice. The NY Film Festival had reserved seats but I don't know about Tribeca.

Ciao for now.

ONe more word - you may catch a glimpse of the stars going in if you arrive Early. But I have no idea where the "stage door" is. (Jen, Wendy, if you fancy a trip downtown you may want to "scope out" the entrance to the theater from Embassy Suites side on No. End Ave.)

Some concern has arisen as to whether we're allowed to have "The Tribeca Film Festival Presents" on the T-shirts - there could be copyright infringement. I'm in contact with the festival people and they're going to try to get back with me sometime today for permission. The woman was really nice and didn't seem to be too concerned but she's trying to get permission for us from a someone at the Tribeca Institute. I'll keep you informed - in the meantime - the T-Shirt design is on hold.

Danielle!!!! Oh NO!! I hope you can get a later or earlier test - we really want you with us! Jason needs you!

Thanks for all the new information, everyone. This is really happening, isn't it?

I know what you mean Liz After these past few weeks of planning, its really happening!!! I called the Doubletree and we are set with the 3 rooms that were reserved for us. I talked to Elizabeth (JBFanatic17) and sorry to say that she can't make it But its ok.

OK - I'm a self taught fanartist so I'm not up on all the specifics of printing that a real graphic artist has to know. I'm hoping they can take what I've done and make shirts for us. I don't know what they're able to do with what I've made so I've made 4 designs - here they are. I think we have to wait to see what the printer can do with what I've sent.

EDIT!!! WOW! Those people at Tribeca are fast!! They've called me back already and we're allowed to use their name - just need to make a small wording change!

And Leslie! You're the best! Thank you!!!

That's really great about the tshirts. Being able to use the film festival makes it more special, I think. Any of the designs would work (I'm assuming white tshirts) except for one thing I noticed. In the list of showings, you have Tues. May 7 and it's actually Friday.

I'm so excited!

Oh thanks for the proofing! And it's actually our hope to print them on black T's. What's another little copy change? Glad you caught that! You get to a point that the words are just objects to move around.
