Okay, I can't say what it is on the actual forum because I don't want any problems to come from it, but I've learned from two anonymous (and trustworthy) sources on the movie, something that would be a cause for the delays and re-ratings and all this stuff. If you want to know what it is PM me.

Thanks, Nightslash! As long as it comes out, in some form.. some time. Were they worried it wasn't gruesome enough and only rated PG-13 and not R and that the gore-hound guy fans wouldn't go see it? I thought it was nice that it was something different, more like a cowboy movie with the bad guys riding into town etc, only the cowboys were werewolves (and the sheriff and the townspeople are werewolves too - heh). I have my calendar marked for July 27! I hope they don't move it again.

Probably. Lions Gate and After Dark seem to now be of the mindset that if it's not a total gorefest, cop out and make it PG-13. It's a shame, really, because now people will think of it as the second coming of Cursed. Not to mention it's unfair to the movies that want to be adult and intense without the blood and guts all over the floor, walls, ceiling, and characters. This movie seemed like it was intended to be intense, just not the blood and guts kind, and LGF/After Dark copped out thinking it'd make more money. It's more likely to make less money.

(One thing I might add, one producer stated the PG-13 rating was because of the appeal to children and women. Apparently, producers think women don't like R movies. My fiancee called him a sexist pig after that comment. She's even more gung-ho about the R rating than I am.)

Hi all

I went to see a Russian Sci Fi called "Daywatch" the companion movie to Nightwatch that I saw a couple of years ago and -- one of the trailers was Skinwalkers!! Didn't have a release date, just said "soon". It was an AMC theater -- the AMC on 42nd Street in Manhattan to be exact. Needless to say, I was thrilled!!

There's a new poster out and I really don't like it, especially compared to the old poster.

Ignoring the now missing blood (which actually isn't that big of a problem since the drool seems more wolfish, where the blood made it seem almost like a vampire movie) the problem I have is with the tagline, especially since I liked the old tagline. This one just sounds cheesy.

Thanks for posting that, Nightslash. I wonder if the "cleaning up" of the poster will lead to the "cleaning up" of the rating -- I dread that the rumors of a PG-13 rating change may come true. I can't seem to spot a new rating on the poster. Yes, I thought the other tagline had more punch and less cheese too!

Cool that you saw the trailer in the theater, Thanette! Thanks for letting us know to be on the lookout! What other Lionsgate films are coming out?

Hi Hoodie If you look closely - it's already official - the poster - just above www.skinwalkers says rating is pg-13. Bummer..... Too bad they've butchered down to make it less 'dangerous' to young minds. Thanks for the poster, Ns I agree - I don't like it either...

I found Skinwalkers as a pre-order on Amazon.de (as I'm German). It's available on 16th August 2007. I think it's a bit early cause it starts in the USA on 27th July in theatre as far as I know.

I don't like the new poster either. The drool looks disgusting. I prefer the blood.

Yeah I saw that too but I think it's no longer current.
