Thanks Sirio, you're always the first!!!
Yeah, it's not an in depth review at all. But it did mention the movie was done and acted well. That's good enough for me.

This is the translation I got:

Quote:
2è party last Wednesday evening in BIFFF: "Senseless" of SIMON HYND (UK).

In the 2è room, every baby, flavorless ambience and few audience, good film but without more. On bottom of morality against globalization and western society of consumption which is only complaining by being the well-off of the planet, the film was done well and played well but too slow. An American makes kidnap and is going to make abolish the 5 senses in turn being broadcasté in live.

Has anyone noticed that the "tongue-tied" smiley looks like a scene from the trailer of "Senseless"???

27 april 2008 - Senseless was shown at the "Dead by Dawn" film festival in Edinburgh:

A review:

SENSELESS
One of my favourites of the festival, even if i watched it at the unearthly time of 7.30 am sunday morning. It's about an american bank worker who is captured by extremists while in Europe (not islamic and its not really made clear what they are) who show his torture on the internet. The torture sequences are brutal but its not done in the flashy saw or hostel type nonesense, rather using sound effects and suggestion which make it far more effective and unsettling, it also has some interesting and sympathetic characters which make it all the more engaging.

What a great review! Thanks Sirio! I'm really anxious to see this one. As brutal as it may be.

Thanks, Sirio!
I've been out home for some days and just read the review. I totally agree with it.
Hope this film will get DVD distribution...

I found a review from someone who saw Senseless at Dead by Down Film Festival.

By Suspiriorum

A much-needed break allowed those still remaining in the cinema to head down to the bar for bacon butties & fresh coffee, before at 0730 it was the premiere of Simon Hynd's 'Senseless'. Jason Behr stars in this brave & shocking film as an American who is abducted & tortured by a group of political extremists, who broadcast their actions across the internet. This adaptation of Stona Fitch's novel deserves respect for the way in which it takes the so-called “torture porn” genre, & reconstitutes it into something far more interesting & disturbing than a simple wallow in pain for pains sake. Although its politicising is occasionally a touch too in-yer-face to be entirely satisfying, there's no denying that this is a bleak, harrowing experience, packed with a vicious intelligence that disturbs beyond the level of simple gory shocks – not that it skimps on those by any means! Boldly provocative, the film has plenty to say about the current state of play in the west, & American particularly & deserves to be seen.

I think if a well known star played the part that this movie would be in the masses. I don't get why Jason was picked for this role, when I read the book
I didn't see Jason Behr as Elliot Gast, more like Paul Blackthrone or Jeremy Piven
type.
but than most of the time if they went by the book Max, would be a blonde !!but he could of dyed his hair

no I don't jest. I also think Michael Reilly Burke would of been a good choice or
Marty Papazian maybe if and when I see the movie I'll understand why Simon Hynd wanted Jason for the part.

He wanted Jason for the part because he's an exceptional actor. And going by the reviews, the movie sounds very promising.
