I think that greased back look was from a Roswell eppie in the third season ( the one where he went to see the actor manager guy...and where he did the Tom Cruise smile....anyone remember the name of that one?) anyway I never liked the weird pointy bangs ( Brendan actually discussed them in his hair rif on the live Instagram ) he had first season...these >  so I think I liked that picture a lot because his hair was off his face....I felt the same way about his hair in White Room...here > only thing I could find is pretty cool...Jason Katima talking about Jason acting in the White Room and there are scenes from the eppie  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO1mqI60tnU __________________
