Ditto on "Dragonwars" - even my 10 year old was bored by it.

Happy Australia Day!

Shim just frakked that entire project. I don't think he knew exactly what he was doing.

Happy Australia Day!

Oh! I saw the funniest thing down at the supermarket. Imaging a bright yellow Peugot Cabriolet soft top, top down, with 5 muscle-y pieces of eye candy, all in shorts and wife beaters (yes, suntans and muscle), on a drinks run from their barbeque. 3 were crammed in the back with just enough room to breath. Anyway, they stocked up the boot, jumped in, and drove off, with the front passenger holding up a little Australian Flag he'd got at safeway just above the wind shield, like on the Queen's car!!!! I laughed my head off!

Happy Australia Day! Nice mental picture of 4 patriotic hunks stuffed into a little car.

Shim (and his ego - and his script!) were the problem with this whole project. He wouldn't listen to anybody about anything, I don't think. We just caught the last 5 or 10 minutes, where the guy tries to stab Jason, but the magic necklace saves him and the guy dissolves and the dragon comes and the other dragon starts fighting with him (and Jason helpfully explains "It's the good Imoogi"). Cracked us up. The word 'imoogi' itself was bad enough in that movie.

Oh well, Jason has a LOT of fans and is very big in Korea now!

The good Imoogi. Oh jeez. But yeah, Korea loves Jason hardcore since that movie.

I'm probably way behind on the news (RL has been kicking my butt big time), but I see that Annie Wersching is now in "24"! Why have the Fates forsaken Jason and his Behr-starved fans??? Do they need us to make sacrifices in their honor? I'll do it if they'll just put Jason in a successful weekly series. Aaaarrrrggghhh.

On another matter, there's going to be a crossover between GA and PP next week. Do you think KH will be in it? I just can't help but think that's got to be awkward.

It's so funny to me that Jason was with Katie H. who's name to fame is Greys and then he marries KaDee (both Katherine) who's name to fame is the sister show, PP. So weird!

I really don't understand why Jason hasn't hit it big. He's attractive and a very good actor, better than the actors on all the hit shows right now and yet I haven't seen him any anything truly amazing in years. Shiri is kind of the same way. It makes no sense.

Addison, Sam and Naomi are the only ones doing the crossover to GA. But with all the ABC parties/events, I'd have to think KH and KaDee crossed paths.

Mir, your guess is as good as ours. It's frustrating, really. I just want to see him in something worth his time and dedication. Because projects like D-wars and Skinwalkers wasn't. He's so much better than that.

Di It could be that you were with me doing extra work

An interesting gossip article about Twilight, but Roswell is mentioned

What's the Scoop on the Next Twilight Soundtrack?

Today 10:24 AM PST by Leslie Gornstein

I am loving the Twilight soundtrack. Any scoop on the next one? And how do they find music for TV and movies, anyway?
—Jade, Perth, Western Australia

The songs for New Moon haven't been nailed down yet—the flick is still in preproduction after all—but do I have some gossip on the movie anyway? You bet.

First, some background. When it comes to Twilight's soundtrack, you may credit legendary music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, who has also curated the music for TV shows The OC, Roswell, Chuck, Mad Men and Without a Trace. Patsavas is also on board to supervise the sound for New Moon. Now the gossip...

The new director, Chris Weitz, has been sending out signals that he may be open to a more experimental soundtrack than his predecessor. That could mean songs that sparkle even more than the movie's vampires when they get caught in the sun.

"I think that might be the way it's going," says Marisa Baldi, West Coast partner for Zync, a music brokerage that funneled two songs onto the Twilight soundtrack. "I get the vibe that the guy is a little more into being surprised...everything is really open, and he wants to hear a lot of cool music."

The process for choosing the final music list works like any movie. First, bands or their managers approach a music brokerage, such as Zync. Zync then works to place songs in films, film trailers or commercials.

In the case of a feature film, the brokerage chats with a film's music supervisor, gets a feel for the film and then sends out compilations of suggested tracks. The Twilight song "Full Moon" by the Black Ghosts was a hit with Patsavas right away.

"It was on the very first compilation I sent her for the film," Baldi recalls.

As for Patsavas, I interviewed her awhile ago about her search process. "We sort of put in one CD at a time," Patsavas explained to me at the time. "Maybe we don't play a CD all the way through, but we do give everything a try."
