| Master Fan | Hi Obessies, LOST was amazing last night! So happy it is back! Good news my brother Brendan knee surgery went well! It turns out he had synovial plica syndrome which is a condition that is the result of a remnant of fetal tissue in the knee. The synovial plica are membranes that separate the knee into the compartments during fetal development. These plica normally diminish in size during the second trimester of fetal development. In adults, they exist as sleeves of tissue called "synovial folds," or plica. In some individuals, the synovial plica is more prominent and prone to irritation. The plica on the inside of the knee, called the medial shelf plica, is the synovial tissue most prone to irritation and injury. When the knee is flexed, the plica is exposed to direct trauma, and it may also be injured in overuse syndromes. When the plica becomes irritated and inflamed, the condition called plica syndrome results. My brother has done tons of running since he was young. It is a passion of his and so the plica tissue in his knee became inflamed and caused him a lot of pain. So now he is all better and on the mend. I am glad it was able to be fixed he is so happy! Today is Feb.2nd and you know what that means Happy Groundhog Day Obessies Groundhog Day or Groundhog's Day is a holiday celebrated in United States and Canada on February 2In weather lore, if a groundhog, also known as a woodchuck, marmot or ground squirrel, emerges from its burrow on this day and fails to see its shadow because the weather is cloudy, winter will soon end. If the groundhog sees its shadow, it will return into its burrow, and the winter will continue for 6 more weeks. So it looks like we are going to have 6 more weeks of Winter this year! | Master Fan | Crystal I feel the same way. I went to college in Rhode Island and it was crazy when the Pats won in 2002 and 2004. I remember me and my college friends went out to celebrate and to watch the game. It was exciting. However now that I am home in NY it is different. My dad is so excited that the Giants are in the Super Bowl. I will be rooting for NY for sure even though some of my college friends will be rooting for the Pats. Hi Obessies I need help! I have been wearing the perfume PURE MOMENT by Alfred Sung since 2000. It is my signature sent and it is very hard to get in the USA. The only place you can get it is Canada being it is made there. If any of you come across PURE MOMENT please can you get a bottle for me. I would pay you to get it for me. I love the sent so much and it doesn't bother me being I have bad allergies and have asthma so it is really a wonderful find for me being sometimes Perfume can bother me. So if anyone finds PURE MOMENT by Alfred Sung please let me know so I can pay you for it. Here is a photo of it  I was able to found it on Ebay however I have had bad luck with ebay in the past with frad on my credit card so of anyone can buy it for me you would be a life savor! I will pay you back and send you the money. If you can buy it for me. Also if anyone is going to Canada on a trip sometime soon can you please pick me up some. I will pay you for it. Thanks everyone! | Wow, that knee plica conditions sounds like something for an episode of 'House'! Very interesting, and I'm glad they figured it out and he's on the mend. Love the photo of Utah above and the shout out to the JB fans (best fans on earth :> and willing to go to the ends of the earth for Jason, too). "Groundhog Day" is one of Mr ML's favorite movies (Bill Murray) - it was on this afternoon. I just hung up my February decoration on the front door today(groundhog, valentines, President Lincoln, Chinese New Year) -cover all the bases! :> Year of the Rat begins soon, I think Feb 7. LOL, I should find an attractive-looking picture of a rat (but not sure such a thing exists).LOL, I'm so sports impaired, I thought the Patriots were playing Arizona, not New York (since they're playing in Arizona). Then again, the weather is probably nicer out there for football than in NY or Boston. I am ignoring the superbowl just like every other sports event, except to see when it ends so I can watch 'House' (and hope the Patriots win - but not hoping too much, so as not to bring them bad luck! | Happy Birthday Miranda Leigh! Erin Have you thought of getting a PayPal account to shop on Ebay safely? My boss has one (we buy office supplies that way) and we have not had any problems using PayPal. Good luck with the perfume search. Oh yeah -- Superbowl thingy. One of the breakfast TV shows here in Aussie-land did a snippet on how important the superbowl commercials are. They look interesting, especially the one with the two politicians in it.
