How can you say The Beast guy isn't handsome!? He's a very nice looking fellow. (?Dan Stevens). Okay, not gorgeous, hm maybe decent nice looking English guy.

I don't go for blonds either, generally (unless they are super gorgeous - hm, what Podmom said, equal opportunity admirer of nice looking guys), although blue eyes (sigh!) Although since Jason's eyes are brownish hazel.. what's that old song "Beautiful beautiful brown eyes/I'll never love blue eyes again." :D

"Wizard of Oz' is probably one of the best movies ever made. It was from 1939 and a whole bunch of great movies came out that year. Peak of American cinema, that year.

I watched "The Band's Visit" on Netflix, an Israeli movie (2007?) about an Egyptian Police band that comes to Israel to play at some Arab Cultural center opening, but ends up stuck in the wrong town in the middle of nowhere, and the people in the town take them in. The Arabs and Israelis speak English to each other, and Arabic/Hebrew among themselves (there were subtitles). Then I watched the extra stuff and found out the Egyptians were all played by Palestinian actors. Very cool.

I want to go see "Kedi" - movie Ekua would never watch - it's about cats! A documentary about cats in some country ? Turkey, ?Morocco, I forget but it looked very lyrical and soothing. :cat:

Podmom The Wizard of Oz was one of my favourite childhood movies ;) I've seen it so many times, but not recently. I was flipping channels when I saw it was on the other day.

Haha MyrnaLynne you're right; a movie about cats is not a movie i'd appreciate!

But the other one, the Israeli one, sounds interesting. :D

Still have not seen Beaut and the beast. Yeah still not finding that guy cute. I don't know what it is because i do like blond guys. I had huge crushes for blonds when i was a kid big time! I guess i like brunettes now much more. I can't think right now of a blond guy cute right now?? Brad pitt? Gosh he got old fast. Who else is blond? Im drawing a blank.

I googled handsome blond men and there aren't seemingly any stars :confused:

I saw "Passengers" last night, sci fi movie with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, and it was very good, despite some so-so reviews. I know you don't like sci-fi in general Ekua. Chris Pratt well cast as sort of clever blue collar mechanic guy and JLaw can play anything. Bonus was Michael Sheen as the robot bartender (he was the evil head vampire in Twilight) - I remember he had a young daughter who loved Twilight, and when she heard he got cast in it, she was so mad at him for 'spoiling it' for her! :lol: Kids!
