Keeping fingers crossed for 'Moonlight' - CBS seems to be promoting it/advertising it a lot in the TV book, so I think they are behind it/plan to keep it going. I wish they'd make another season of Blood Ties - that show is bloody good.
I don't even trust advertising anymore. The companies seem to spend heaps on the advertising and then pull the shows anyway. Seems like such a waste of money to me but what would I know???

Last day of school today. Just the Friday breakfast to go is all.

It's true - even as I was saying it, I thought about all the ads they ran for Roswell and then pulled the rug out from under it. TV is a very fickle business.

I see the writers aren't going to write the drivel everybody spouts at the Oscars and Golden Globes - might be an improvement!

Absolutely nothing on TV last night - it was both refreshing and depressing. I baked cookies and did laundry. If this strike keeps up we will be very fat but well dressed in clean clothes!

It'll be like those experiments they do when they take a family and force them to live without tv for a month ML. You'll start to find you like it perhaps.

ML, I was so sad about Journeyman! One for the DVD collection I'm sure...

Hope all of you are well. I'm now working 8-2 until Sunday and then I change to 10-4 until Christmas Day. Very sleepy, but it's all going pretty good.

Hm, they could drag out all the unsold pilots that were made (like Jason's 'Company Man' and the witch family thing he did in Boston) and have a year of very odd one-episode television! LOL!
I think that would be very funny.

I finally figured out last night where i'd seen the actress that plays Beth in Moonlight last night....the Girl in the Fireplace in Doctor Who. I hate it when that happens, you just know you've seen them somewhere before but can't remember.

Poor Danie, i'd hate to have to work retail at christmas, its bad enough just doing the shopping part let alone the selling part.

Tomorrow morning then I am free for 2.5 weeks! I am, as they say 'stoked'. (I do not know who they are but they do say it...)

Kender, seen a little bit of that... rather amusing, but I think you'd like Chuck more.

Sympathies for working during the Christmas madness Danie! Holiday craziness is reaching a fever pitch. I told Mr ML he has to get gifts for his niece's little boys - he got around to calling them and asking what they were into yesterday. Don't know when he plans to go shopping for whatever it is!

And woo JC for such a long break. Enjoy! We get Christmas day off, and that's it. Don't even have Boxing day or anything else. Oh well, my boss took next week off (started yesterday) so it's sort of like being on vacation, and I left early yesterday and plan to do the same today.

I am always wondering where I saw somebody on TV before - my daughter MLette is very good at remembering who they are and what they were on before. I think that Beth girl on Moonlight is very pretty and a very good actress (looks like Kate Winslet a bit too). She did a vampire thing before for BBC. She seems like such a sweet young thing but she's quite bawdy - in an interview she was complaining about US television being so obsessed and her not being able to show her breasts. Seemed quite put out that she had to keep them covered up. giggle. The old story about US programs - fine about violence, prudish about sex.

I didn't think Journeyman had a big following/good ratings, but it was such a well done show. Mr ML and I weren't sure if we really liked it (the family angst stuff was too angsty for him and I just never liked Kevin McKidd's face) but I just decided Monday night, yes, I really liked that show it was pretty good - and Tuesday found out it was cancelled (and Wednesday watched the last episode). sigh. So it goes!

Started reading Tanya Huff's 'Smoke' trilogy, a spin off from the Blood Ties books (about Tony and Henry is there too, but not as much). Not sure I like them as well but giving it a chance.

Well I still have house and garden cable channel - can always watch somebody buying a house, fixing up a house to sell, or redecorating! Although I often fall asleep watching those.

I have some episodes of Chuck on my PC that I could burn as a DVD for Netty. Do you really think she'll like it? I have not watched any of the episodes yet.

How are the hols JC? Mine officially began today too. I got up late and did pretty much nothing. The sister made Christmas cards and ate...slowly and stood up, all day. Mezzi in a bad mood. I think it's because it's Christmas. Oh well. I haven't been watching the Big Bang. I did watch One Perfect Day this evening though. An Aussie movie. Any of you see it? Music and drug overdoses. It was rather depressing. Quite sad. Should go to bed.

It's strange for me that the Americans don't get holidays on the major Christian days. One day only for Christmas and you don't even get Good Friday off which is probably the most sacred day of the Christian calendar. America is such a strange country. All for God and that so long as he doesn't interfere with work and money. B was saying that her work in NZ has the US bosses coming over immediately after New Year to do an audit. She was like, 'well, that's cool but we're all on holidays'.

House and Garden channel. The sister used to drive me barmy with all those home improvement shows. Imagine having them go 24/7

JC, you must watch Chuck, but it takes about 3 eps tpo get really good, so stay with it. Plus I always get a kick out of watching Adam Baldwin! lol Kender would love it I reckon.

ML, I still haven't watched the last two Journey"men" yet - was stuck on watching the end of Survivor and the Supernatural Christmas ep. Ha! Good times!

Work was HELL today but good. It was a very fast 5 hours and everyone was happy to wait in queues! Amazing!

Mezzi, hugs for you. Must do Sydney next year, yes?

Love you all very much and wish you the best for December 25. (And feel for me when I have to get up at 4.45am on Boxing Day to start at 7am...)

xxxx

For work?

I am watching all of season 2 and the first 8 episodes of season 3 of Supernatural right now. I have had all of the season 2 and 3 episodes for ages now (season 2 since 12 months ago!) yet I have not watched them, now I am.
