You don't understand the title?????? read on.....

The Australian Government has just announced a 20 question test on the applicants knowledge of Australia when you apply for Australian Citizenship. But does it contain the important questions like the one below.

The real Aussie Citizenship Test

LANGUAGE

1. Do you understand the meaning, but are unable to explain the origin of, the term "died in the arse"?

2. What is a mole?
3. Are these terms related: chuck a sickie; chuck a spaz; chuck a U-ey?
4. Explain the following passage: "In the arvo last Chrissy the relos rocked up for a barbie, some bevvies and a few snags. After a bit of a Bex and a lie down we opened the pressies, scoffed all the chockies, bickies and lollies. Then we drained a few tinnies and Mum did her block after Dad and Steve had a barney and a bit of biffo."

CUSTOMS
1. Macca, Chooka and Wanger are driving to Surfers in their Torana. If they are travelling at 100 km/h while listening to Barnsey, Farnsey and Acca Dacca, how many slabs will each person on average consume between flashing a brown eye and having a slash?

2. Complete the following sentences:
a) "If the van's rockin' don't bother …
b) You're going home in the back of a …
c) Fair suck of the …
3. I've had a gutful and I can't be fagged. Discuss
4. Have you ever been on the giving or receiving end of a wedgie?
5. Do you have a friend or relative who has a car in their front yard "up on blocks"? Is his name Keith and does he have a wife called Cheryl?

FOOD
1. Does your family regularly eat a dish involving mincemeat, cabbage, curry powder and a packet of chicken noodle soup called either chow mein, chop suey or kai see ming?

2. What are the ingredients in a rissole?
3. Demonstrate the correct procedure for eating a Tim Tam.
4. Do you have an Aunty Myrna who is famous for her tuna mornay and other dishes involving a can of cream of celery soup?
5. In any two-hour period have you ever eaten three-bean salad, a chop and two serves of pav washed down with someone else's beer that has been nicked from a bath full of ice?
6. When you go to a bring- your-own-meat barbie can you eat other people's meat or are you only allowed to eat your own?
7. What purple root vegetable beginning with the letter "b" is required by law to be included in a hamburger with the lot?

CULTURE
1. Do you own or have you ever owned a lawn mower, a pair of thongs, an Esky or Ugg boots?

2. Is it possible to "prang a car" while doing "circle work"?
3. Who would you like to crack on to?
4. Who is the most Australian: Kevin "Bloody" Wilson, John "True Blue" Williamson, Kylie Minogue or Warnie?
5. Is there someone you are only mates with because
they own a trailer or have a pool?
6. Would you love to have a beer with Duncan?
The people to be granted citizenship are the ones who call it a crock and cheat.

PS The funny thing is, we are running our PC's on Australian English, yet when you run a spellcheck, about half the words in this come up as mis-spelled.

lol, thanks for the giggle Mezzi! I'd love to have a beer with Duncan, coz Duncan's our mate.

JC, I still have Roswell eps from the States on CD as avi's. They still work pretty good, and with the RIGHT music! I shall cherish them forever!

Kender, I know where the Ibis is - just enough in the city to be close, but just out to stay away from the freaks.

Journeyman is bloody-good! So is Reaper, Pushing Daisies, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dexter, Painkiller Jane, Eureka, Sarah Jane Adventures & Kyle XY.

Danie, why and when did you buy those Roswell CDs? Do you have all 3 seasons on those CDs? Also, I think you should back those up onto DVD or at-least put them onto your PC's HDD.

Mezzi, are you positive that 'Meet The Dupes' (Roswell episode) has no 'Linkin Park - With You' track in it? I only have season 1 DVDs for the reason that you already know why.

Pretty sure. I've only watched the DVD S2 eps the once. I remember thinking, "Damn there's another song gone" I could be wrong I'll check on the morrow.

JC, I brought them off this girl when it was still airing in the States, so they are OLD... I have the programme to make them into DVDs if only I could figure it out!!!
I'm hanging to watch Dexter, but I'm going to wait. There is just too much to download at the moment! We've already used most of the hard drive and will delete when we buy the DVDs.
Journeyman is very updated Quantum Leap! Me likes. Chuck is all about a nerd!

If you post the CDs to me I could encode them direct to DVD, I am quite the expert now even if I do say so myself, which I just did...I think? The old CDs that came out at around the year 2000 now many of them still work and those that still do work, won't much longer...so I truly suggest you put them on your HDD asafp. Are they VCD, SVCD or just plain old AVI or MPEG? I can encode any video format into DVD. I could even make a menu and fit half a season of Roswell onto 1 DVD with bloody-good picture quality (a full season would fit onto the DVD but will be less clear picture quality, then again, your CDs are probably old MPEG/VCD quality anyway which is what this DVD would be like if I put all of a season onto 1 DVD.) You should get your new tv show episodes from Eztvefnet.org, they are 110% real and top quality. No limits, no registrations etc. That is the site I get new episodes of my shows from, there is the occasionally show which doesn't appear on there, that is when I go to Demonoid.

The name Joy rings a bell.....
If they do, send them to me if you wish, I could re-encode them onto DVDs for you (the old CDs won't last much longer, old manufacturing methods they used back then...)

I have researched which id of blank DVD media are the best for archiving, ironically, the ones I use are in the list for the ones that 95% will burn perfectly and will last for up-to 100 years. I have had bad ones in the past, the recording layer bubbles and/or peels away...grrrrr They were name-brand too! That was even with looking after them correctly and it was only 6 months after purchase/burning them. Names mean nothing! They can outsource to cheaper manufacturers in Thailand, India or even China. Mine are the best quality. hehe If I burn them for you, they will last for a long time, if looked after.

Re-encoding them can get tricky, but I am used to doing that now so I should be able to do it quite easily.

I'll check them tomorrow. Whatever format they are it will be an old one as they played on my old ancient computer.

I am positive that I could re-encode them, I have successfully crossed over so many different formats that your head would spin! I have even re-encoded from .bin, .zix, .mkv, .ogg...etc

The most recent being from: VHS - (Professional AVI, yet it technically is not AVI) - VOB - normal, run of the mill DivX/AVI. That is what I did for my home movies and Roswell episodes.
