Hi Everyone!

GAH! It's sooo good to have my computer back up and running again! I'll explain...

Lainie's computer died. Something about her Motherboard fried, as No.2 son said... so... he got a computer from a guy at work that had a good Motherboard, but was empty inside, so No.2 son unplugged my computer and set up that computer in my computer room with my Big Monitor and worked on it in here (my computer room).

He put all of Lainie's hard drive and stuff in the new empty computer and finally had Lainie hook my computer back up, but she did something wrong, and now my printer won't print. No.2 son has to fix that problem.

Anyway, I'm back up and running!

Thank you all for the nice Birthday Wishes! That was really sweet of all of you! And thank you MyrnaLynne for the virtual cake!

I had a really nice birthday. My family took me out to dinner at one of my favorite Mexican Restaurants. I ordered the Steak Ranchero, and it was delectable! The steak strips just melted in your mouth! And the sauce that it was in was so delicious, with onions and bell peppers, and it was all poured over a bed of Spanish Rice. Just Wonderful!

Then at home, they had gotten me a lovely chocolate cake with white icing that was decorated with pretty red rosettes. And they also got coffee ice cream (which I love), and the celebration continued with beautiful cards and gifts.

It was a really nice birthday.

Congratulations Vero, on your new couches! It's always so much fun getting brand new furniture! Believe me I know, since I just got some myself!

I remember when I was a young teen, MOTHER went furniture shopping and bought an all black leather set. Well, it looked really nice, BUT it wasn't too nice going thru' a New England Summer while having to sit on all leather furniture! From the moment you sat down, you'd be ringing wet with sweat! So, I sat on the floor a lot during the Summers! LOL!

And then in the Winter, the furniture would be freezing to sit on at first, until your body warmed it up. Brrrr!

Leather furniture may look really nice, but I'd never buy a set after having experienced it thru'out the seasons. But that just MHO.

Oh MyrnaLynne, That story about Mr. ML Jr. thinking he was going on a Boat instead of going to Vote was priceless! Poor little guy... how disappointing for him!

And thanks for letting us know about Maggie. Hope her computer is up and running soon.

And I'm still liking "Eli Stone" too!

And you cracked my up with saying that you could eat your way thru' Vermont! I could just picture that too! LOL!

Well, I hope MLette & Boyfriend have a lovely time on their vacation, and that she can stay warm too!

Oh, and you're getting to see two plays! Oh how wonderful! Have fun!

Poddy, Funny video of the Dolphin! But I was thinking, that Dolphin must weigh a lot!

Scottie, Did they ever find out who won in "The Chesapeake Primary" yet? I heard there were a lot of places that were close like that; CA included!

Oh, about the neighbor's puppy... It seems that they are mostly keeping it in the house, but do leave it outside for a little while, while they are out with it. But I'm sure, once the cute puppiness wears off, and it becomes an adolescent, it too will join the pack outside.

And I think the city allows you to have up to 5 dogs, (more if you are a registered breeder), so they are at the limit now. (sigh)

MOTHER is over, so I have to go...

Biggest Hugs to All,
Wen

Wen is back! Maggie has a new computer and is getting it set up and running, so we should see her back sooner or later. Isn't it wonderful to have sons who are good with computers! I don't know what we'd do without them! (Have to hire the geek squad!)

Very good/sad to watch the last 'Moonlight' Friday. Wasn't my fave - they made the pimply kid vampire a little too creepy and repulsive to look at! But the rest of it was very good. MLette and her BF hadn't seen it before and they enjoyed it a lot.

Oh, 'Funny thing.. on the way to the Forum' out at Wellesley was really good! MLette and I went, met up with my college friend and her hubby (he has the cutest English accent too - dreamy!) and the play was really good. The girls rehearsed it and put it together during the college January break. They did get a few boys from a nearby college for a few parts. They had a student orchestra - I love Sondheim's stuff and I didn't remember this play at all, except for a few of the songs, so the story was interesting too - I didn't know what to expect or how it was all going to work out (it was one of those mixed up Shakespeare type deals, only with Romans). Bad part was, when the show got over - it was SNOWING! Really coming down and we had to drive home in the snow and coming darkness. And I drove (she drove us there, I drove home). Scary! They had built a new student center since MLette graduated and we were glad to get a chance to poke around in there and eat lunch there with my friends (and look at the gift shop and the snack shop etc). Boy, they didn't have stuff like that when WE went there! A store that sold pints of ice cream and boxes of cookies! Hmm, probably just as well we didn't have that, or they would have rolled me out of there like a barrel.

Your birthday dinner sounds nice - steak in any form is very yum!

I'm glad the neighbors are giving the puppy a good start anyway, even if they'll ignore him soon enough when the novelty wears off. Oops, speaking of puppies, I have to go walk mine (again)!

So psyched we're going to see yet another play - I love 'Damn Yankees' and it's another one I haven't seen in a very long time (but can still sing you pretty much the whole score). :> 'Whatever Lola wants.. Lola gets...'

Oh - news flash - looks like the Writers are settling their strike!

LOL, love the 'waiting impatiently' cat! Sorry Em is sick! Sounds like the flu maybe, that's starting to go around. My friend in FL has been very sick with some bad cold/flu thing (friend since before 7th grade) and she's never usually sick. I hope she's better for the big interview or can reschedule for when she's better.

Wow, I thought the first play we saw was good, but the high school 'Damn Yankees' we went to today was amazingly good! Good orchestra, good dancing, acting, costumes, singing - well, a few weren't great singers but there were a whole lot fewer who couldn't sing than at the last show - and at least the guy who couldn't sing great was pretty good with the acting and dancing etc so you didn't notice (too much). It was really well done and I was just tapping my toes and trying really hard not to sing too! But I know how hard it is to get high school boys to sing and dance and they did a very good job with this. The Joe Hardy boy was so cute - sort of reminded me of Fred Astaire or Dick Van Dyke, and the kid who played Joe when he was old (and chubby) had the best voice. Anyway, it was terrific! Boy do I love musical theater - I might as well be a gay man!

MLette is gone on her vacation up north. I found a bunch of brochures to various places up there for her. I hope they have a good time. They've had some vacation disasters in the past (car broke down, missed the plane) and she's still speaking to this guy.. anyway, hope it goes well! (worry worry).

Hi Everyone!

Sneaking on here while MOTHER is watching one of those Sell This House or Flip This House Shows, (that I can't keep them straight as I can't stand to watch them)

Anyway, Poddy, I'm so sorry to hear that Emily isn't feeling well. And that she might miss her big interview too because of it! :eek I hope she can reschedule it?!
Sending [[[Big Healing Vibes]]] her way for a Speedy Recovery! Poor baby.

Love the impatient cat! LOL! It just cracked me up! It's so like a cat too! LOL!

Sorry to hear that you lost you big post! FF is so unkind in that area sometimes. Had that happen to me more than I'd like to remember!

MyrnaLynne, I'm so glad you had such a nice time at the Plays you went to see! I love Plays myself too! Such fun, and I love musicals too! And it's true... it's hard not to just sing along!

Yes, I did enjoy "Moonlight" on Friday night, and my Lainie walked in the room while I was watching it, and she said "What show is that?" and I replied "Moonlight", and she said, "Oh, that's the Vampire show where he not only is cute but is smart too!" and then she left the room! LOL! Ah Ha! She's noticed this show before! LOL!

And since she spends A LOT of time in her room, she's probably watched it without me even knowing! LOL! But of course since I'm Mom, I'm always the Last to know!

I hope MLette & BF have a Great Time on their vacation, with No disasters this time! (finger's crossed)

MOTHER is calling me, so I have to go...

Sending Biggest Hugs to All,
Wen

Hey all!!

As usually I had a lot to read.... I guess I should make an effort to stop by more....

Thanks you all for the couch congrats. We're actually enjoying it... even if it is stiff. It's nice to see mom sit comfortably on it. She had a really hard time with the onld one.

Yesterday night (around 11 pm) we worked on getting the old chouch out on the street so the garbage-movers can take it away.... but this morning it was in the bulding again.... apparently this neighbor (whoever it was) called this cherity organization and they'll come and get it...... when my mom told me all I had to say was 'great! couldn't they told us about it?' It was the last thing I wanted to do at 11 pm!!! It's great that they did that (since we didn't know where to call and since the situation with the old couches is really bad) but they could have told us something considerring those are our couches.... Anyway.... I'm not planing on taking out again!

ML, we had that happen to us with the old couches too. They always used to slide out and we had to push it in all the time. That's way we mad sure that the new couches had the bottom cushions attached to the couches themselfs. No way we where going to push another cushion in again!

And that was exactly what we did! Me and Mika walked around any store we came into and sat on any couch and any sofa we could fine. And only one we ran into something we called mom and dad. We knew they wanted something hard and pretty stiff and it was pretty hard for mom to sit and get up all the time so.... we were the guinea pigs.

Oh I don't think there is one person in Israel who isn't completely cynical about the Israeli elections! I know I am and so does my friends. No matter who we vote to it's gonna end bad. It's just the way it is. I don't really know all of the nominees you guys have there (I know a little about them but not enough to decide wether they're good or bad) so I can't say anything about your elections.... but over here everything it just really bad!

You know I used to have this Interet presantation (it used to fly around the net) and it used to ask you some quetions about the kind of leader you would like to be at the head of your country. In the end it apeared that womanizers and alchoholic were actoatly the best leaders (Churchill and Roosevelt) while the ones who hardly drank and spent their life with only one woman whon they were really loyal to were a nightmare (Hitler). Makes you think ha? Kilnton might have chit but he was a great leader. I never realy got why people were so agist him after the whole Monica thing....

Happy to hear you had a good time in both plays and that both of them were good. We don't really have that. High school plays is not really something you can find around here..... especially good ones.

podmommy, I'm so sorry to hear Emily doesn't feel well and might lose a good job because of it. I think she should try and reschedule it.... I hope she'll find a way to get to it.

That is so nice of you to wait for her to call you....(BTW loved the impatiently waiting cat! ). My mom usually calls to make sure I won't stllep to much... even when I'm sick....

Sure! Anytime you need a young brain you can take mine.

Thanks for the link for Carrie ten Boom. I haven't read it yet but I'm going to. The little you've told about her sounds really amazing. There are some amazing inspiring people out there.

You know? I never actually went into a Holocost museum. I read about it learned about it. But I never walked into a museum. I just take it really hard. I just picture myself there and I can't get myself to see one picture (or a movie) about that subjuct. I saw one black and white documetric film once when I was in kindergarden and with my grandma who was actually there and ever since then I just can't. I mean there were children at that age who were murdered there and couldn't help it not to put myself in their place. I still do that, even as old as I am. I just can't stop. I'm just so scared of it. We have an Holocost Merorial day over here (it's a separate one of the wourld's Memorial day for the Holocost) and have nightmares about a week before and a week after. It's really sad that I haven't been to 'Yad Va Shem', which is the Israeli museum for the Holocost but it's really hard for me.

Scottie, thanks for explaining what Chesapeake is. I really didn't know what that was.

And if it makes you feel better I didn't know there are no moutains in Miami Beach either... and I'm a brunette!

That must be a wonderful book! Grisham writes great books. It is sad about innocent people going to jail. Especially to death penalty! BTW I'm totally aginst that. You want to panish someone who murdered someone else put them in Jail for life, in insulation for life but actually killing them? It's really wrong in opinion....
It's really great that we have DNA today.... though criminals today know that we have that and that's why they're more careful..... which s*cks! But DNA definitely helps to solve crimes.

Wen, I'm so happy to hear you had a wonderful birthday with your family!

That's great to have someone at home who knows something about computers (I always call my cosines. ) so to have someone who knows computers really well is wonderful!

That's why we didn't get leather couches. My mom is really aginst this. And one of my friends had one at her parent's place and they always covered it so nothing will happen to it.... it's just not worth it! Yea it looks great but it's not really practical... especialy when you have kids.

Well at least those ennoying neighbors of yours won't be able to get another dog.... not that it's helps with the 5 that they do own.... but you know it won't get worse, even if it is really bad now.

Well it's def time for lunch!
all

Morning JOFs and JITs!

We had huge wind gusts yesterday and our electricity went out from just before 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon to about midnight. It was so cold in the house! Luckily, we have a gas stove so we cooked a roast on the top of the stove for dinner! LOL! We couldn't turn on the oven b/c it needs electricity, but we could turn on the gas burner with a match. A lot of the houses in our neighborhood have electric stoves, but we converted years ago to gas. I'll tell you, being without electricity for hours really makes you appreciate having it. It's freezing cold today, single digits in some places!

VB - when my husband and I were first married, we went on a European trip, traveled all over Europe and England and Scotland. When we were in France, we met a wonderful couple in a train station and we ended up traveling with the two of them for a couple of weeks. When we told them we were going to go into Germany, they said they wouldn't go because they were Jewish and some of their relatives had perished there under the Nazis. I felt so sorry for them, understood completely why they wouldn't go there. Too many fresh memories. We went into Germany for a few days and met them again in Copenhagen! We still trade holiday cards after all these years!

I have a leather sofa and chair and I like them, although I know they're sort of chilly when you first sit on them. But they're so soft! We call the chair "the marshmallow chair" because it's so soft! I'm glad that your mom loves her new sofa and is comfortable on it.

I'm sort of torn with respect to the death penalty. I'm just not sure about whether it's right to take a life or not. I'm still wishy washy on it. Sometimes I'm all gung-ho, like when a particularly vicious criminal is sentenced, but then again I'm aware that juries make mistakes and could perceivably convict an innocent person. It's just not fool proof.

My sister donated her old kitchen cabinets, which were still in good condition, to Habitat for Humanity, to use when they build houses or rehab houses for the needy. That's a good way to recycle things, giving them to charity if they're in good shape, so good for your family for recycling the old couch!

ML - glad you enjoyed the plays and got some culture this weekend! It's wonderful to know that good amateur theatre is alive and well.

Wen - glad you had a nice birthday! The Chesapeake primary is tomorrow, and it's still a little bit undecided which way the Dems will go. Barak is leading Hillary though, but time will tell. I went to two birthday parties this weekend (my neighbor who turned 65 and my best friend's mother who turned 70! I partied with the elderly!) and all the talk was politics. I hate politics, and actually had to leave the room at one of the parties b/c an Obama Mama wouldn't shut her mouth. Not that I don't like Obama, I do, but she was getting on my nerves...

Podmom - sorry you lost your post! Reminds me to copy this puppy before I hit send! How's Em feeling today? I hope she feels better soon. It sounds like the flu to me too...

Gotta go get some work done, just wanted to drop in before it got too late!

Scottie, LOL "party with the elderly" cracked me up for some reason!

I think political talk gets annoying because people are so firm in their opinions and don't want to hear any different opinions so it gets kind of shrill and nasty. I hate politics too, and wouldn't have a good time if that's all everybody talked about!

I got a black leather sofa and black leather chair last time around - The chair is absolutely wonderful, it rocks and swivels and fits me like a glove (if you wore a big black chair-shaped glove on your body). The sofa is very cold when you first sit down on it, but aside from that, it isn't bad. What I like about them is they don't attract dog hair one bit. And the dog doesn't like the feel of the leather sofa either and doesn't get up on it. Or maybe he just knows we don't want him to go on that one (he's a very smart dog). I haven't noticed that they get hot in the summer, but then the sun isn't on them either.

We had the gusty winds and very scary sudden snow squalls yesterday! There was a bad one last night, just before Mr ML wanted to go get groceries, and then it stopped but when we went driving, we found all the roads had turned to ice! It was warm and spring-like in the morning, rainy at noon, snowed a bit in the afternoon and then WHAM - bitter freezing cold and ice! All in one day. It was so scary, driving on the icy roads to the store and back, but of course, once stubborn Capricorn Mr ML decides on a plan, nothing will hold him back from it! It was about 5 degrees this morning and bitter cold winds. Brrrr.

But losing electricity is the worst, poor Scottie! We have a gas stove too and I like that it will work, even with the electricity out - although with this newfangled electronic stove we just got, you can't run the oven unless the clock is working. But you can light the burners with a match, as you said.

VB HUGS! I totally understand holocaust stuff being too painful to look at. I sort of feel like that - I know it happened, I've seen the pictures, etc. I don't really want to keep looking at them, because it's so awful. I didn't want to see that movie 'Schindler's List' because it was sort of like the Titanic movie - I know the boat sinks! But Titanic was very good and so was Schindler's list. But I don't like to keep seeing that stuff - once you see it/if you know - you don't want to hear it anymore, it's too horrible.

LOL that cheaters and alcoholics make the best world leaders! That is probably true. I think people were mad at Clinton not that he cheated, but that he got caught (Kennedy cheated like crazy but nobody had a clue) and that he lied about it, and I felt like he brought shame to the office of president plus they were having all this dirty sex talk on the news and my kids were younger then and I didn't really want them hearing about that sort of stuff with cigars and... well, it was dirty stuff, but the news people and papers felt like it was okay to discuss it all over the place, because it was 'news.' He dishonored the office of President, that's how I felt. But he also was the only president to balance the budget and keep the country out of dept etc. He was also a Rhodes scholar or whatever - he was one of the smartest presidents we've ever had.

I think that's kind of rude of the neighbors to drag your couch back in from the trash and decide to donate it instead! It's not their couch! If you want it in the trash, it should stay in the trash. Although I see their point too, it's a mitzvah to help out poor people who need a couch too. And as long as they do the work of dragging the couch around - why not.

I have heard about that place you can donate building supplies etc when you renovate, to help poor people fix up their places with the old cabinets, sinks, etc. It is a much better idea that throwing useful things away and making trash.

Oh I'm so disapppointed - I am still deciding about Megacon in FL, to go or not to go, and I just found out today that Tanya Huff, the Blood Ties author, who was supposed to be there (one of the reasons I wanted to go) - had to cancel and she isn't going now! sigh. But the two cute Blood Ties boys are still going to be there.. decisions, decisions. I wish I could make up my mind! It's so unlike me to be this undecisive about fannish travel. I guess because it's not Jason! LOL! If it's travelling to see Jason, there's no question about it being a good idea!

I guess I'm scared I'll spend money and go and then Mr ML and Mr ML Jr will get laid off and then we'll be broke. Also worried about travelling by myself and dealing with the big scary convention crowds down there. sigh. worry worry. can't decide...

LOL - MLette started off on her trip today to Vermont and she wasn't even going to take a hat or a scarf! I'm glad I reminded her (she was rolling here eyes) because it's probably twice as cold up there right now as it is where I am (It's farther north and next to a big lake etc.) I hope she isn't getting frostbite up there!

Too funny that Lainie likes Moonlight! I will be so sad if they aren't going to make more/show it again until the fall at this point. The fall is way too far away! But at least the writers are settling their strike. Fourteen weeks - it felt like 2 years!

I've always wanted to go to the Holocaust Museum here in DC, but that's one that I haven't been to. I know how sad it is going to be, people who've been there have told me how upsetting it can be. I know one day I'll go so that the people who died in the Holocaust will be remembered, but I know I'll cry! I remember asking my mom why people in the US didn't *do* anything about the Nazis and she always maintained that they just didn't know. My mom was only about 20 years old at the height of the Holocaust, but I've always found it hard to believe that no one over here knew what was going on. It's almost impossible to believe that 6 million people died and the average American "didn't know." But then again, there are probably some teenagers alive who haven't heard a thing about 9/11.

ML - I hope you get to go to Florida! But you're considering going all alone? Is it being held near where your dad lives? How are his eyes doing, still good?

I'm hoping that Moonlight gets picked up again too.

I read an article about Jericho in the TV Guide (newspaper version, not the real one) yesterday, and they're acting like the Jericho fans sending peanuts to TPTB to get their show back on, was a first time miracle. What about the Roswellians sending Tabasco? We did it long before Jericho was even a thought in the writer's mind! We deserve credit too!

No, the convention is in Orlando and my dad is in Ft Myers - it's several hours drive away. That's the other thing I'm debating - the convention is right near my Dad's birthday, and I can't NOT see him if I fly to Florida, but there really isn't time to go see him and go to the convention too (it's just a weekend thing) and I was hoping not to rent a car just or the convention trip (one less expense) - there are hotel shuttels and a convention shuttel. sigh. And yeh, I'd be going alone, which is also kind of scary. I'm not nearly as brave and bold as I used to be! Plus without pals there, it's less fun and more.. weird.

The eye is good. He's having the other one done on President's day, Feb 18! Seems very close together, to do both operations within weeks of each other, but I guess that's the plan. He's already excited to see better with the one eye that was fixed. He put off a lot of stuff because of being too busy taking care of my Mom. sigh. Now he has time to take care of himself.

I think that museum would be very impressive (and depressive) to visit. It's the odd things, like the heaps of shoes - thinking about all the people who wore those shoes... sigh. The Nazis were nothing if not methodical and fanatical record keepers and savers of everything. To bad they wasted their methodical efficiency on doing evil!

I think the government knew, if not the general public. Jewish people who had relatives and were getting desperate, scary postcards knew things were happening. My grandmother had some of those postcards from relatives. But really, the magnitude of how horrible it was, was beyond human comprehension at the time! Who could imagine it, who could believe it possible! sigh.

Yes, Hollywood has a very short memory, that they don't mention Roswell fans saving Roswell with Tabasco. I would think mailing peanuts was a lot riskier venture, there are so many people with terrible peanut allergies - I'm surprised nobody died! I do sort of feel like I should look at 'Jericoh', if the fans loved the show that much. I'm sorry I didn't watch it before, when Gerald McRaney was on it (I used to like him on Simon & Simon a whole lot), but I guess his character died at the end of the finale.

MLette just called me from Vermont - what a nice kid! They went to the Ben & Jerry factory (nirvana!) :>

and you're right...peanuts would be dangerous..I would have never thought of that...and I was appalled at Clinton too for that fiasco...in the Oval office with a young 20 yr old...very not cool.....really added to my cynicism I can not understand why the ppl that get in are not awed with the responsability of the office..can't they wait for 4 yrs to do that kind of thing.....he wasn't that smart

vB I will never go the Holocost museum for the same reason you can't ..way way too much...I've read alot about it all when I was younger...can't take it anymore but I think it is very good that there is one and I think kids should have to go in high school... thanks for concern about Em......she is still sick....drove to Lizs though yesterday(had to clean snow off car...drive in snow ,pack and all so her temp went way up that night ) changed interview till Wed....had to try and cancel test on Tue night.....another big bummer though is Walter(he left today for Denver for work) and Liz are going skiing in Vale Thurday > Monday...and we are all scared to death they will get it Waters dad is a gp so he prescribed an anti flu med and Liz got masks/hand stuff/lysol spray and Em is staying in the guest room and only going to the bathroom and kitchen when she must(with mask on and after strilizing hands) ...a drag...hope it works!! poor kid.

LOL, I'm picturing Liz and Walter's place like 'ER' (minus George Clooney - oh wait, ER is minus George C for a long time now - I'm dating myself!) Anyway, I hope all their precautions work and they can go on vacation in good health. Whatever this cold/flu thing is, it hangs around a long time, at least what my friend in FL came down with, and she's usually healthy as a horse and almost never sick.

Get well soon, EM!

Saw a nice (one-star) movie on 'Lifetime' last night (had Scott Bakula and the 'Blood Ties' vampire boy Kyle Schmid when he was 16/17 - he's not all that much older now! LOL!). The wonderful mother remarries a nice guy, girls are prickly teenagers, mother gets cancer and dies - wept my eyes out at that one!

I agree that it would be good if all schools taught about the bad stuff that happened in the past, about heroic stuff people did to stand up to evil, etc. (As they say "those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.") Heck, I'd like it if they taught 'civics' again like they used to - the current population is amazingly ignorant about our government etc (myself included). As the guy on Eli Stone pointed out, the immigrants to this country who want citizenship have to memorize all this stuff, but most of us don't even know any of it!

Gosh, it's only Tuesday... sigh... and still really cold here. Oh well, it IS winter! Hope MLette isn't freezing her little fingers and toes off up in Vermont this week!
(worry worry)

Hey all

where oh where is Jason Behr? I miss his beautiful face. Sigh.....

Sounds like the writer's strike is about to be over! I read that they're going to shoot more Moonlight eps too!

I went to the drug store the other day and Katherine Heigl is on the cover of Vanity Fair. Good gosh, the girl's everywhere!!!

Today's voting day for the Chesapeake Primary! Going to vote after Pilates classes tonight. Don't have much time to get it done before class. Lucky for me polls are open until 8 pm here in Maryland.

ML - I agree with your comment about teaching civic's classes. I know I'd benefit from some remedial instruction where our government goes.

I'm not sure I'd go to a convention alone either. You're a brave girl! Glad your dad's taking care of himself now. I hope his other eye is a success too.

I noticed that the Sci-Fi channel is running eps of Jericho. Interesting...must be repeating the first (and only) season? I hadn't thought about the peanut allergy either, but that could be serious! At least we sent something harmless (unless you were stupid enough to drink the stuff!).

Podmom - wow, I hope Em gets well soon, that flu is everywhere it seems. And the flu shot doesn't even seem to cover the strains that are currently out there. Go figure...

Hope all's well!

Oh Scottie you seriously made my day with that 'Moonlight' news! I just went skittering around the various Moonlight sites to check it out - and found one that says they are going to order more episodes and we might get them by April - which is a heck of a lot better than waiting til fall. I was so depressed about no more shows until next fall! sigh. If the cast knew they'd be laid off this long, they could have done something else in the meanwhile, made a little movie or something.

Also found a brand new interview with Alex O'Loughlin that was very nice - he went back to Australia for 5 weeks, and then they sent him to Europe to promote Moonlight over there, where it's starting to air, so he was home in LA for like a day (nobody knows him from Adam in Europe yet, which is fine with him). He talks about Mick's ring, which the fans are fascinated with (and of course which TPTB thought was a really bad idea - LOL!).

Reminds me of the story of Hugh Laurie very carefully picking out a cane for 'House' at the beginning - the perfect expensive antique thing - and then it got smashed in a door or something shortly after they started working on the show and that was that! Gone! LOL!

That ring Mick wears is really very beautiful and the matching necklace - something interesting and mysterious about him for fans to wonder about! He also really seems to like Jason Dohring, think he's a great person. LOL, of course he and Sophia Myles are great friends, but he emphasizes the PLATONIC, buddy friends thing (in real life) a lot too. Their characters are in love, their real selves are just work pals. Got it!

sigh - yes, where is Jason and his beautiful Behr face? We need a movie to open. Or KaDee should drag him out to some premiere or other!
