| Happy Anniversary to ML and Mr. ML! Wow, 29 years! I'll be married 32 years in November. Heck, I remember BEING 32! We celebrated with our friends on Friday, they had their 28th anniversary. Nice to hear that lots more people than we hear about do go on to marry their soulmates and live happy lives together. Some do make it! Wen - congrats to Lainie, good to hear that your party was so much fun and that the weather cooperated. I'm also glad that Laine liked her refrigerator, we got Paul one for his dorm room too. everyone!__________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||

| Happy Anniversary MyrnaLynne & Mr. ML! ![]() Wishing you another 29+ more Happy Years! ![]() OUCH! Sorry to hear about the shot in your knee! Hoping the shot kicks in soon ... (sometimes it takes a little while to kick in to feel the good results)And I know what you mean about feeling out of place at the Drs, as someone always seems to be far worse than you are... but that's just how it is. I experience that all the time with as many Drs as I go to! ![]() And thanks for clearing it up that you actually liked the New Indiana Jones Movie. Lainie and I just might go see it together, but we never go on Opening Weekend. (I don't do crowds well.) And thank you for the Congrats to Lainie on her Graduation. I'm so darn proud of her! ![]() And after all her "I don't want a Party" complaints... she was very happy at her party after all, in which I knew she would be. She's just very shy and Hates to be center of attention. But it was mostly family and some friends so she did lighten up and had a good time after all. ![]() She did blush like crazy when we all Toasted her with Sparkling Cider tho'. And then my No.2 son took me aside later on and told me... "Mom, you know it's suppose to be bad luck to Toast with anything other than real Champaigne. Just letting you know." ![]() Gee, that's not fair to Non-drinkers! I protest to that superstition! ![]() Vero, Thanks for the Congrats to Lainie on her graduation. And yes, it was really fun seeing her go crazy trying to find out what I had gotten her for her graduation. After the party was over and we were alone, she came over and hugged me and thanked me for everything, and that made me all teary all over again. I'm so sensitive lately! I just don't know what's wrong with me! Maybe I'm just on emotional overload. ![]() Poddy, I'm so glad you posted! Thanks for the Congrats! And Congrats right back at you and Emily! ![]() Enjoy your time in DC with your girls! ![]() And yes, I'm still having a hard time with the thought of my baby moving out this Fall, but I'm working on it. ![]() Scottie, Thanks for the Congrats to Lainie! She really loves the fridge! And with everyone saying that they got one for their college student, then I think I made a very wise choice! ![]() And Happy 32 Years to you come this Nov! Wow, you don't look old enough to be married that long! You must have been a child bride. ![]() ********************************************************* Well, it was just No.2 son and I that went to Lainie's Graduation, as MOTHER does NOT do crowds AT ALL. So she's never been to any of my kid's graduations. No.1 son had to work and so did his wife, so it was just us. ![]() And Satan Jr. didn't go because he's on vacation touring the East Coast with his bride. (GAG!) As far as Satan Jr.'s parents... he has Horrible Parents! When we divorced, they divorced my kids! Besides, they live on the East Coast and would never bother to make the trip to see my kids graduate. Heck, they never even bothered to send a lousy card to my kids, nor do they send them anything for their birthdays or holidays either. Like I said, they are Horrible People. Speaking of Horrible... Even Satan Jr. hasn't even sent Lainie a card or anything for her Graduation! What a Jerk! ![]() The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, ya know?! Well, I'm sure the Announcements that I sent out REALLY p. o'd them because no where do I mention her father because he did not contribute one red cent to her education, where as I'm sure he's told them all that he's paid for everything! But I speak to his bro's wife often and I keep her straight on things and they know the truth! This is the Announcement that I sent out... CLASS OF 2008 With great pride, I Ms. Wendy S. am pleased to announce the Graduation of my daughter Lainie Brenna S. from name of College on May 23rd, 2008 city, California and at the bottom, in small font, was written ... In the Fall, Lainie plans to further her education at " University California" to obtain her Masters Degree in Psychology. And I sent Satan Jr. an annoucement too, in which I'm sure he was fit to be tied when he got it! LOL! I hope Everyone is having a Great Day/Night! ![]() Hugs to All, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | Hi Wen It's so impressive that Lainie is getting her masters...she's so smart! Satan Jr is such a putz!!!!!!!!!!!! His parents are beyond awful. Boy are they missing out!! I can't imagine being that way. You are right.....S jr is a chip off the old sickness Just shows what a great mom you are that your kids are whole and healthy anyway. ![]() __________________ ![]() | |||

| Hey all! Just a new day around here. ![]() ML, CONGRATULATIONS! I hope you guys had a great 29th anniversary! that was exactly what they told my mom at the beginning about her hip! And then she went to the head of the department (who we some how know) and he told her that no exercise would help her so she has a choice to wait on with the pain or go ahead and do the surgery. We all thought that doing the surgery would be the good choice here. Anyway… being young has nothing to do with anything today. Young people are getting older people's sickness… looking at it as young vs. old doesn't seem like the way to go today… at least not in my opinion. Those 2 people on a date talking on their cell-phones is just so sad! Once when I was on a date the guy's cell-phone kept ringing on and on and he answered each and every one! And it was never something too important: a friend or his sister. I felt really ignored more then anything! And I hate feeling like that! I don't get that, but things over here are much worth then they are at the US. Did you know that Israel is the biggest cell-phone user (when we talk %wise)? It's really ridicules. Some people have like 4 cell-phones (per-person!!!). I mean why the hell would people need 4 cell-phone for? That's exactly what I've said. Watching a movie at home is just cheaper. And sometimes much more comfortable. ![]() Scottie, you're right! It's always nice to hear about people who make their marriage work. Gives hope to the unmarried ones.![]() podmommy, glad you're enjoying your time off (of all of the house work) .Wen, I totally get Lainie for not being interested having a party… I pretty much like that too. I'm all for small friendly gathering and not a full-swing party… but you can't avoid those sometimes. Anyway the important thing is that she had a good time.Well your daughter is planning on leaving home and she graduated… I think that's enough to be emotional. ![]() And what a lovely family does Satan Jr. had… Fit's him. If they're as bad as him I think your kids are probably better of without them. And the fact he didn't show up for the graduation so he could go on a vacation! That that's just low! And that announcement is so sweet! We don't do stuff like that…. I wonder why. Anyway it's great you didn't mention Satan Jr. (and I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that).![]() And good luck to Lainie! That is totally impressive that she's headed to learn her master's degree! all__________________ Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.----- Baz Luhrmann You don't have to be crazy to be my friend.... | Wen I know what Lanie means too - I thought my wedding shower and baby shower were the two most embarrassing events of my life because I was the center of attention. Which is weird, because I don't mind getting up and performing but sitting in a chair with people watching while I open presents from them - that was really really embarrassing! I guess I was kind of embarrassed at my wedding reception for the same reason, but it was all so wonderful and went by so fast and in a blur, plus I'd planned it all so it was more like seeing something you plan unfold. But it went by so fast!! I guess that was good preparation for life, because that is going by very fast too. Aside from exchanging cards and goodies, we didn't really do anything on our anniversary day. I guess Indiana Jones was our 'date.' ![]() Wow, Scottie 32 years! I don't know about Mr ML being my soulmate, but he's my friend and that counts for a lot in the long run, being comfortable together. Plus he still thinks I'm hot! LOL! I think he's pretty handsome too. And fit. ![]() LOL Poddy I guess I got sick of cooking because I never did enough cleaning to get sick of that. Bad bad awful lazy housekeeper. ![]() Oh well - I've seen worse! LOL, even some birds keep a messy nest. ![]() Enjoy your time in DC! VB that's exactly what my Boss's secretary said, that I should have gone to her knee doctor, who is now the head of his department, as he operated on her and she's younger than I am. It's not that bad yet, and the recuperation is many weeks and I can't take that much time off work at this point. Plus I think they keep doing research and figuring more things out and it will be better down the road a few years. Also, this secretary got her hip and knee replaced and she still doesn't get around all that well and has a lot of pain so... I don't know. But she's also very (very) heavy and that would be a problem. Too funny that Israelis are the biggest cell phone talkers in the world! Why would anybody have 4 cellphones! I have one but never use it (I have a phone at work, I have a phone at home - I never use those either). Mr ML doesn't have one - heck, he doesn't even wear a watch! LOL! I mostly only use my cell phone when I travel and in emergencies (it paid for itself when my folks were sick and I was in Florida arranging stuff) - and to vote for 'Dancing with the Stars'! LOL! I also used to use it to play the 'Deal or No Deal' game but I think they stopped that, and we stopped watching it anyway. Got too annoying with the stupid greedy people. Watched it the other night - guy could have had $157,000 but he kept on and ended up with $60,000 instead. Which is a lot of money but not a huge prize (especially once the tax-man gets finished with you). You have to know when your luck is going to turn in that game and when to quit while you're ahead. Plus most of the people are sooo stupid! Wen lovely graduation announcement and why should Satan Jr take any credit at all? Aside from being the sperm donor, he wasn't much of a dad or husband over the years - ahem. That's too bad his folks divorced your family along with him, but from the sound of how nasty they are - just as well! No great loss. I think that 'superstition' was started by a champagne company! Never heard that one. We use sparkling grape juice in place of champagne all the time. Everybody doesn't drink! And the people who don't drink are already luckier, because they aren't going to turn into drunks. That was an awful thing to say to you, about bad luck.Yep, we JOFs are a long-marrying bunch! I guess we stick with our mates (as long as they deserve sticking, Wen) - and we stick with Jason Behr too! We're very faithful. ![]() Watched 'The Pacifier' movie again (because little Kyle S. has a role in it - another 'bad boyfriend'), and I'd taped it but missed the first 40 min or so last time. MLette and I really liked that movie! We watched the whole thing over again. His two scenes are getting roughed up (a little) by and being wisemouthed to Vin Diesel. Pretty funny. Mr ML was rolling his eyes at the stuff I've been watching lately. Oh well, everybody needs a hobby... P.S. Woohoo -just got word my books 2 and 3 of the 'Twilight' saga were shipping! They were going to wait until August, until Book 4 came out, and I guess they realized that was way way too long for anyone to wait! They must have read my mind, I was just thinking of cancelling that order and buying them at the store (as I've re-read book one 3 or 4 times over already and I don't think I can read it again while I'm waiting!) Obsess much?! LOL!Oh, 'Moonlight' Alex O'L and Sophia Myles have been nominated for consideration for an Emmy for best drama, best actor, best actress. I hope they are nominated - I hope they win! Wouldn't that be a poke in CBS's eye! ![]() ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 05-28-2008 at 10:22 AM. | |||

| Ooh, I hadn't heard that about Moonlight, ML, but doesn't that just make your evil side so glad? LOL! Boo-hiss to CBS for cancelling the one good show they have on their stupid netword (no offense if anyone likes CBS!). I don't watch anything on CBS but Ghost Whisperer now, and that's too bad for them! HAHA!!! (evil laugh at CBS's expense!). ML, that's just so incredibly cool that Mr. ML still thinks you're HOT! That makes my heart happy to hear that. Good for him! And I agree that my husband is such a good friend, he's someone I can depend on and laugh with and have fun with. Great guy all around! And he's fit too! His back is bad though, so he's maybe not as fit as he'd like to be, but he weighs within about 5 lbs from what he weighed when we got married. That's saying a lot these days as I'm a few more lbs higher than when we got married! ![]() Let me know what you think of the next Twilight books. Podmom - could you let me know the name of Liz's hairdresser? I'd be interested to know. Would you possibly be in town on the 8th of June? The Caps are planning a get-together in Silver Spring. Maybe lunch and a movie. We're hoping BehrBewitched can join us, but since she's on vacation we haven't heard back from her. Maybe you could join us too? Just on the off chance, I thought I'd mention it. LTL's coming! ![]() How's your ankle doing? I totally agree with everyone saying that movies are better/cheaper when watched at home. Except for the big blockbusters, which I agree, are better in the theatre. We saw Iron Man on Saturday, ordered one medium popcorn and a large soda and it cost $10.50! That's insane! We sometimes pop a bag of popcorn and bring a canned soda in to the theatre to share. It's ridiculous what it costs to go to a movie these days. I was just reading an article that said that gas in the UK was almost the equivalent of $10 a gallon. Another insanity... Wen - loved Laine's grad announcement. I couldn't have said it any better than Podmom when she said his parents are putzes! Their loss completely when they cut their grandchildren out of their lives, but I'm sure it still hurts your kids to know that their grandparents aren't around for them at all. My grandmother (paternal) had six grandchildren total and completely doted on my older sister and left my younger sister and I out of her life. It still hurts me even though the old meanie has been gone for over ten years. So I chalk it up to it being her loss. When I'm a grandma I plan to be the best there is! I can't wait! But hopefully it'll be a few more years, Paul's only 19... VB - glad I could give you hope! I do hope that when you find the right man that he's a keeper! ![]() Four cellphones? Whatever do you need four cellphones for? That's ridiculous. <<shakes head>> __________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||

| Oh gosh, the evil Mr Boss came by with his evil Chapter (20 days after I sent it to him last, this thing that's 3 months overdue already) - you know at tax time when people come to accountants with cardboard boxes filled with random scraps of paper and dump them on the accountant's desk and expect to get their taxes done? Well that's sort of what he brought over to me, reams of random reference pages with little scribbles on them - I have NO IDEA what to do with this thing, plus the chapter he brought over was missing pages and had many duplicate pages etc etc. It's a complete jumbled MESS. I am good, but I can't do MIRACLES!!!! And then he said something about having it done by FRIDAY! Is he INSANE!?! (yes) I don't even have the latest version of the paper (he hasn't even finished writing the whole thing yet!) - he thinks I can go into my computer and go over to HIS computer and take it out! AAARRGH!!!![]() Sorry to whine, but this is just 'Mission Impossible'. Plus I KNOW there are requirements and rules he hasn't bothered reading and hasn't told me about (like the last two times, ahem ) and I'm going to do ALL this work, break my brain, send it in, and they're going to say "We're sorry but you didn't do it right" and want me to do it ALL OVER AGAIN! sigh. It's a good thing I don't keep a gun at the office (or anywhere else). Just sayin' Scottie that's great that the Washington area JB fans are getting together for a fan-gals night out. I hope BBW can join you and Poddy too. Next time we go down to Delaware for that family thing I'm going to have to break away and get together with y'all. Things are really expensive in the UK. A woman I worked with in Scotland went to NYC and was raving about how cheap everything was! In New York city! (which is really expensive). But compared to the UK, the US is cheap because their money is worth more than ours etc. $10 a gallon for gas - it will come to that, I'm afraid. :< And this ethanol corn gas is great - except then there's no corn to feed an animals or use for other stuff and so the price goes up for THAT too. Vicious cycle.Sometimes I sneak a box of candy into the movies in my purse too, rather than buy their enormous and really expensive one. LOL, Mr ML Jr always likes to get popcorn and a big soda - and then has to run out to the bathroom halfway through the movie! ![]() That's awful about the grandmother playing favorites like that. How weird. My mother did something like that - she went to two of my cousin's weddings, but didn't go to their brothers' wedding - because 'she didn't like him'! If they are all your nieces and nephews, you should treat them all equally nicely. Oh well... Woo, I got my day/time for my "Hospital Idol" audition in June. I hope I don't blow it! Started to think I haven't sung anywhere in a long time, maybe I'll find out I can't do it anymore and it went away! That would be a bad surprise. ![]() Get up to sing and nothing comes out... Is if Friday yet? ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| Thanks vB I am.....although I did spend about 3 hours planting Lizs plants I had brought up for her patio....that is fun though and stays done. She will feel good when she gets back from her vacation and it's all done. She works so hard and is so busy that it feels good to do something for her . ML iT IS SO INTERESTING HOW SO OFTEN SHY PPL ARE ENTERTAINERS. i AM OUTGOING AND PRETTY RELAXED IN SOCIAL SETTINGS BUT i DON'T THINK i COULD DO THE TALENT SHOW THING.......sorry...just saw the caps You and the Mr are both hot Yikes your paper work sounds awful Good luck with it. He is obviously really dependent on you so just do it as fast as you can and don't kill yourself! Have fun with your books.....reading is better than cleaning any day Scottie I have to fly to that wedding that weekend figures...I so would have come up. Well ,since both girls are here now one of these gatherings I'll make it. Tell LTL hi for me. Emily didn't like her cut(oiy I hate when they are dissapointed with the hair....a plus about boys,no hair angst I'm guessing......color was good though.....the name is Red Door Salon stylest was Laura....Liz likes her so I don't know what to say about her. It wasn't cheap I don't think the cut was that bad. It was lovely today.....we went to see her appt in and her work building(a block from her appt so that is great ...she can walk!) then went to Georgtown and walked around and went in a few stores. Going to the zoo tomorrow hope the pandas are out. Catching up with the last eppie of dancing with the stars....Em doesn't know who won....I do, just like with American Idol but still looking forward to seeing that when I finally get home to my Tivo My ankle is doing better than I had worried it might. Still very tender at some positions but thank goodness I can walk....although Em was doing Liz's Wii dance dance rev tonight so I did too and it was fun but eventually my ankle startd to hurt so had to quit. That is a good workout though back to DWTS __________________ ![]() Last edited by podmom : 05-28-2008 at 09:09 PM. | |||

| Hey all! Yesterday when my mom came back (from work yep she'd started back on but she came back early) she decided that we'll make some challas. So we made the dough (after we cleaned the flour) and we said the blessing and all. It took a really long time. We started around 3:00pm and we finished around 11:00pm. We made a lot of dough so we now have about 4 weeks worth of challas (and some rolls). ![]() ML, I guess some anniversaries just go by… I'd hint for a big something next year! You guys will be together 30 years. That's a nice round number. that is just so sweet that you guys are still attracted to each other! Adorable! You both are lucky to have each other. ![]() Well that depends on a lot of things. You can't just go through a surgery and be all new afterward. My mom worked hard after the surgery with all of those exercises they gave her to do and she also hired a privet physiotherapist who worked with her about everything else. You totally want to just lie down and not do anything after the surgery but that's just what you shouldn't do. And of course you have to have a great dr. Yea it hurts but in the end if you do everything the way you're supposed to then everything's pretty much back to normal. BUT if you're not in that much pain then postponing it is probably a good idea. That is exactly what I'm asking all the time. One of my cosines has 3 so I asked him. He told me one was his for a while and then his parents started using cell-phones but of a rival company so he bought another cell-phone from that company so he can talk to everyone cheap. Then he go one from his work… so there you go 3 cell-phones… I keep wondering why don't he just leave the others but that's just the why it is I guys. ![]() Happy to hear you got another 2 of the 'Twilight'. Enjoy those! Emmy nominations? Already? I thought there's a while before the whole ceremony season starts. It looks like it's just finished…. Hey maybe if they win CBS will get the show back on… or another network. Sorry about your boss being like that… you have to wonder how does he expect people to do things if he's so messy and can't be understood. He doesn't seem like fun to work for…Well my cosine came back from the US a while back and he said some things are really cheap over there comparing to over here. Things like shoes and bags and cloths (usually)… I guess everything is relative. ![]() Good luck on your 'Hospital Idol'! You'll do great! ![]() Scottie, you see that's where the problem starts over here. They check the bags before getting into the theater supposedly to keep people safe with everything going on but the moment they see a soda can or some sweets they won't let you in with those. In other words if we want to eat something there we have to buy it there. ![]() That is sad about your grandma. And you're right! It's her loss! I can't really get stuff like that. People you're supposed to love unconditionally and you just turn your back on them? That's just sad! ![]() Thanks for the hope! I definitely hope to find someone like that. ![]() That get together sounds great! I do hope everyone can come and that you'll have a great time. podmommy, you are so great to help your daughters around just because they're to busy! You are a lovely mom! Not that I don't think my mom wouldn't do that… she'll just do it her way which I'll have to change later….![]() Happy to hear your ankle is doing better. You just take care of it. ![]() That's it for now. ![]() all__________________ Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.----- Baz Luhrmann You don't have to be crazy to be my friend.... | Morning JOFs ![]() Hi vB Sounds like your mom has been a very good girl about her knee.......smart woman. My Uncle Allen...in Heaven now......was not mature regarding stuff like that....had two knee surgeries and didn't do the excersizes either time(same knee) so it was stiff always now my sister inlaw had hers done a while back and it is doing well I think but she really had lots of pain and it was an ordeal...she might have a low pain threshhold( my Liz is like that.....very touchy and Em has a higher tollerance for pain) I think hips are actually easier to recoop from.(not sure but think I've heard that) How cool that your mom has you to help her with the Challah!! I'm going to go to wikipedia and see what is in it after I stop here. Curious after hearing about it for so long. I was reading 2nd Chronicles this morning(all about King David) very interesting and detailed....surprised the recipie wasn't there they had so many facts and lists of ppl Hope your stupid confused pile is going ok ML for the yuck of it keep plugging away......__________________ ![]() Last edited by podmom : 05-30-2008 at 07:50 AM. | |||

| Challah is very yummy Podmom. It's a rich eggy, sweet bread, usually braided into a loaf (round with raisins in it for New Year). I think Portuguese sweet bread is somewhat similar. LOL that the recipe should be written in the Torah! That would make things much easier! Although I supposed we'd still have to translate it from omers and cubits and Bible measurements. :p You do set aside a 'tithe' of the dough, but we don't do so much the strict 10% thing, but charity (tzadakah) is always encouraged. My friend is so strict about her tithing, she was giving the same amount even when they were declaring bankruptcy. I say it's nice to give, but not so that you put yourself into the poor house! ![]() I spent years and years searching for the elusive 'perfect challah' recipe. I found one that is okay, but never that extra-tasty challah of my youth from Jewish summer camp. I wish I'd gotten their recipe. Bread making takes a lot of hours because of all the waiting time for the dough to rise and rise again. Can't do it in under 3 or 4 hours, but you can go do other things while it's rising! I used to let it rise in the oven with the pilot light - but my new stove doesn't have a pilot light! Been a long time since I've made bread (thanks, Dr. Atkins, for making bread so evil and fattening!) ![]() That's good your mother is doing better VB and that she worked so hard with the rehab and exercising. That's an important part to getting better. I am not in any hurry to do that, and it really isn't that bad yet. The pain and limitation of mobility has to be worse than the pain of the operation and recovery! I'd like to do something big for next year's anniversary - maybe another cruise! We loved that cruise, but then never took another one, so far. At least maybe a little trip someplace. Love the John Lennon avi! I think Alex O'Loughlin sort of resembles John Lennon a bit. I think it's the long nose and the hooded eyes. We rented' The Incredible Voyage of Mary Bryant' an Australian miniseries about the founding of Australia with the prisoners from England and the awful stuff they went through - Alex O'L costars in it and so far, it's very good (MLette and I watched the first half). Oy what those people went through with the wacky British in 1780s, shipped halfway around the world and put to work trying to grow crops on sand (in the movie, it looked like they were trying to farm on the beach). Amazing country and amazing people, our friends in Oz! That film won all sorts of awards there too. ![]() I think a lot of very good actors are very shy people - Daniel Day Lewis comes to mind. Maybe that escape into pretending to be somebody else is very freeing from their shyness. And of course there's my whole theory about performing as a way of dealing with dysfunctional backgrounds. ahem. Oh, CVS had a nice thing about caregiving for elderly parents and taking care of yourself too - thought it was appropriate to the JOF crowd: http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/cvs/gatewa...otion?pid=6306 LOL Poddy that you were doing the Wii exercises on your bad ankle. The yoga-Wii game looks like something I would enjoy doing. But Mr ML Jr is SO not getting another game system in this house!!!! We have Nintendos and Playstations etc etc all over the place (he never gets rid of anything!) Thanks for the Boss sympathy. I just don't even know where to begin with this one. He hasn't given me the last version - he can't figure out what the last version is (or how to give it to me), he still has to write one part and I realized that I can't put in the references until it's ALL written, or else I'm going to have to renumber them all when he inserts that missing part (and the missing references to go with it)! sigh... I'm not even upset about it, I am just at a loss about the whole thing. sigh. Enjoy the (belated) end of Dancing with the Stars! Guess I should get back to it...![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| MLette and the boyfriend took a trip to DC and they went to the zoo. She snapped a lot of photos of cute animals! Have a good trip! ![]() Trying to sort this work thing out - he gave me 3-4 different versions of the same thing, all with various scribbles on them, none of them match the last version I did. I sorted the stacks of references into categories. I found the ones that had letters or numbers on them and put them together. Started typing them up, but there are already like a couple of 23s and a couple of 28s. (You would think a guy with so many advanced degrees could count from 1 to 200.)![]() I think in the days of the Temple and actual burnt offerings etc, people brought breads and fruits and grain and cattle etc and they were 'offered up to G-d' but then I think the priestly families probably ate the stuff (they were too busy running the Temple to farm or herd themselves). I'm glad we don't sacrifice goats or anything like that anymore, since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem. MLette's a vegetarian/animal lover - she's never go for that! ![]() Seems weird, now that all the shows are finished up, after that tiny 4 week 'season' they had after the strike. Haven't heard any more about the SAG actors striking. That might happen next month, if they don't come to an agreement. ![]() 'Eureka' is coming back this summer - that will be fun to see again. A couple of my friends really like that one. The Sheriff guy is pretty cute, even if the sci fi stuff is kind of hokey. Came back to say there's another reason to go see 'Indiana Jones' - Karen Allen is 55 - and she looks as great as she did in her last Indiana Jones movie! She looks terrific! (Harrison Ford, on the other hand, looks 65.)__________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 05-29-2008 at 04:18 PM. | |||
