Ha You gals are so delightful Such enjoyable reading.

Thanks for the encouragement about the exercise. I do hope to keep it up. This is a new year for me still, new jobs, new timetables. I thought I was going to have a new house too but this one isn't sold yet so still don't know what's going to happen with that. My exhaustion will go eventually. I've been working for 10 years now on not being exhausted. I'll get there. I'm so much better than I used to be. I absolutely refuse to diet. I just have been eating to many muffins and cake and chocolate. I need to not nibble is all and then movement will hopefully get me back to size. I actually have the energy to exercise now so even that is a plus. Will try to get in some yoga this afternoon after the open house.

Wen I do hope you find some relief from your pain. Chronic pain is so hard to live with. You're a strong woman to survive as positive as you do each day.

I looked at that solo pic of whatsi and thought he looked like he had fangs too. Perhaps that's why they picked him.

As for his personality, it sounds like he shouldn't be in show business. To survive unscathed you really need to at least begin with yourself healthy. Hope he won't become another messed up statistic. I, with my artistic tendencies thought seriously of becoming a musician in some form or another and am so so so so glad I decided against it. I just wouldn't have coped with the lifestyle at all. God looked after me very well there.

Love that little giftube scene Poddy. I can see why that gets people in. I want my own Edward/Max without the stalker tendencies I remember saying that I wanted a guy who was a combination between Jason, my dad and God. My standards are SURE to be met No doubt about it. Perhaps when I'm fit, no longer exhausted and fitting back into my cool clothes he'll just happen by

Ok better choof

hey again girls....can we tell Ihave me time again here all sorts of times today

Mezz gee your standards aren't too high cough cough you might need to bend on the God part Boy being a musician would be difficult in some big ways....pleasing the public.....bad bad hours...would be nice to make music for a living though. Well I eat healthy food.....just too much I still remember the picture I saw of you...and you were a slip of a girl...so I'm sure you don't have anything to really loose...but buying new clothes is too much hastle...easier to loose the weight.

ML I know...I haven't watched Roswell forever...it was good to see all those M&L love scenes....he still is the best screen kisser It's got to be a really special movie to get me into a theater....although it was fun at that restaurant one with Em....and it only cost 3$

well.....catching up on my Friday Night Lights.....if you haven't watched that ML I think you might like it....don't let the football throw you of...it is very Jason Katims....really really good writing and acting...I love it!!

good looking high school kids....ring a bell

this kid is going to break out....

Well I'm getting away with the weight at present because of my height. Thank goodness for those dutch genes. I'm 2 1/2 stone more than I would like though.

Personally, I don't think any bloke of any worth should be scared of my standards. Do you???

Poddy, Yes, you can get New Moon in paperback... really inexpensively too! I've seen it at Walmart & at Target for under $8.00! And on line, it's even cheaper, but then you'd have to pay for shipping!

Thanks for all the Wonderful Twilight pics!!! Really nice!!!

What's funny about Rob P. is He thinks he's laid back! LOL! But he really acts quite the opposit! LOL!

I too hope he learns how to handle his fame in a better way than with drinking. A RosMom worries.

And then Thank you for The Dreamer Max/Liz video!!! (Sigh, Swoon, Thud!)

Oh how I miss Max and Liz too! It's true, Jason was the BEST on screen Kisser!!!

Yes, Ms KaDee is a VERY, VERY LUCKY WOMAN!!! For Getting to Neck and Make Love with Jason.

Mezzi, I've always heard that if one exercised, that one really doesn't have to diet to maintain the weight that they wanted. And as I think about it, even tho' I've never had a big appetite, when I was younger and was VERY active, I didn't really diet and just maintained the same weight and never really thought about it.

But now, with my back problems I can't exercise. I can't walk too far because my lymph system is failing in my legs, and I swell like a balloon! And with the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, I can't loose weight... it's part of the disease. And I can't starve myself to loose weight because of my having Diabetes. I'm batting a 1000! (depressed sigh) Oh Well, such is my lot in life.

Oh, and about the "Traditional Vampire fangs" thing... I've always assumed that Vampire fangs were like cats' claws, retract at will... don't you think?

When you think about it, cats' claws are very cool the way they can do that, and I just always imagined that, (if Vampires were real of course, LOL!), that they had that same cool ability. Just a thought.

Gosh, when I was younger, I used to run my legs off home from school to be able to catch Dark Shadows on TV. I was soooo into that show, and into Barnabus... I simply adored him!!! Hated Quentin tho'. LOL!

Was anyone else a Dark Shadows fan? Just wondering. I've always loved Vampires.

But I must say... When they made Edward... they broke the mold! (dreamy sigh)

*********
Saturday Morn...

I couldn't sleep as usual, and needed a few things at the store, so I was at Walmart at 6am this morn, (that's when they open). I really like shopping when no one is around. (I don't do crowds well.)

Anyway, I checked the book section, and I was right... they had 'New Moon' in Paperback for $7.96! What a good deal, if you ask me. So Poddy, if you have a Walmart near you, it might be worth popping in and picking yourself up a copy. They had plenty on the shelf at my Walmart... Hopefully they'll have the same at yours.

And wouldn't you know, the really one thing that I went to the store for, I forgot! I got all this other stuff, and went and forgot the original item I went there for! I'm really loosing it I think!

I have to go get MOTHER later as she wants to go shopping, so I'll pick it up then... If I don't Forget! LOL! Geesh!

It must be my meds...some say may cause confussion and (I think memory loss), but they don't actually say it straight out.

Oh, speaking of meds... The Pain Specialist Dr. said that I have to get off of all aspirin and meds like it so they can do the procedure and I take 2 meds like that. I'm excited... that means 2 less pills that I have to take!

You all wouldn't even believe how many meds that my Dr's have me on... it's rediculous and I hate having to take them! I swear, when I'm finished taking them, I feel like I've had a full meal! LOL!

Gosh, waiting for the Twilight Movie to come out seems like it's taking sooo long! I just can't wait to see the movie again, and especially the Extra Goodies like Rob playing the piano, and the extra deleted kissing scenes and well, all the deleted scenes actually!

Everytime I talk Twilight around my family, believe it or not, it's MOTHER that's most tolerant and listens! Can you even believe it?!!! Of All people, I thought she'd be the least tolerant! LOL!

And even tho' Lainie came with me to the Theater to see the movie with me, she has no interest in it at all. She just went with me as a favor so I wouldn't have to go alone... What a good kid she is! But discuss Twilight with her... she's just not into it. Sad really. But Thank Goodness I have my niece Shannon that I can talk Twilight with till the cows come home, and then even more than that! LOL!

Ok, I'm getting hungry, so I'm going to close for now...

Hope Everyone has a Great Weekend!

Biggest Hugs to All,
Wen

Hi Mezzy and Wen Saturday morning here too 11:18 to be exact

Mezz You are kind and easy to praise our charm....I sure am glad you are stopping by again I got a charge out of your talking weight in stone ...it makes me feel I have such exotic friends between you and vB(missing you love ) Yes being tall helps SO much.....I cary way more weight than ppl guess...now if I could be 5'11" instead of 5'7" I'd be perfect Oh no miss Mezz your standards aren't high at all he will just beam right down out of heaven and scoop you up....even with your 2 1/2 extra stoneage

Wen Gosh I don't know how I would do with the pill taking....I am such a nimrod I don't even get it together to take vitamins regularly and I want to. I'm sorry you have to choke them all down I guess the up side is they help. Like Mezz said you handle these physical problems with an abundance of "grace and aplomb" to quote our dear Liz you really do....I think of that sometimes and it gives me a roll model. I really do pray this procedure frees you up alot!!!!! Well your Lanie is just more mature than us I used to watch Dark Shadows as a kid. I never had a cruch on Barnabas...way too old/creepy/ugly but the story got my attention. I used to watch that and Merve Griffin after school and sometimes the 5 oclock movie(on the NY cable ....did you get that in BostonML....I still remember the theme song ) I still remember seeing Bette Midler for the first time omn Merve....even as a young kid I knew she was something!

I guess I actually need to do stuff ....off to the grocery and Sears to get birdfood and grass seed. Big doings here today....take down the Christmas lights and do some yard work....such excitement

Thanks Poddy, for all the nice compliments... you make me blush! But really, I sometimes feel like a whining complaining baby when I talk about my problems, and then I feel bad about inflicting it on you gals. I'm glad you don't take it that way. (Or you don't show it if I do!)

You are All sooo Sweet for all your kind words, and thank you All for that.

Yes, Our Sweet, Sweet Liz, with her new SAT word, Grace and 'Aplomb'. Gosh, how I miss that show!!! Thank goodness for the Three years that we DID get! And thank goodness for video's and/or DVD. Altho, the music is better on my old video's.

Ah Poddy, so you liked Dark Shadows too! I just adored that show! And yes, even tho' Barnabus was older, I still had it bad for him LOL! ... just loved his charm, and he really was a good person... not like that Cocky Smug Quentin! UGH! I Couldn't Stand Quentin! Couldn't Even Stand his Theme Song! LOL!

Oh, and I remember watching Merv Griffin too. Remember that old lady that Always went to his show and sat in the front row? I can't remember her name but she was there every day, and Merv used to talk to her all the time. LOL! I thought that was funny... she seemed like a nice old lady.

Hope you didn't work too hard today Poddy.

Hugs to All,
Wen

Hey, everybody. Sorry I didn't even turn the computer on yesterday at all! We were very busy and the weather was nice. Went to Trader Joe and to the mall, and seems like the rest of the day I was walking the dog. Walking the dog and spending too much money! Oh well -helping out Mr Obama again, and boosting the economy.

It was 'Friends and Family' discount at the Gap stores (my friend works for their corporate whatever) so MLette and I tried to find something to get (when we get something, they donate $ to charity, plus we get 30% off). Cool all around. We each only got one top though (mine is purple and long sleeved). Mr ML was very nice and drove us there and walked around with us. He is a patient man.

Oh! And I got my haircut at a beauty parlor at the mall. She did a nice job but MAN, it was $$$! Plus she talked me into some shampoo that cost as much as the haircut (which is what made it so expensive). I am such a pushover sometimes!

LOL, you know that diet book that made me want to bake brownies? Well, now I'm doing a recipe called 'German rolls' that has wheat berries and sunflower seeds etc in it. This has to be the most fattening diet book on the planet! Oh, and she has the gall to say in it "Exercise won't make you lose weight"! Right there she lost me, because that's just not true. It's calories in vs calories you burn up, that's what keeps the balance! It's like gas in the car vs how many miles you drive. I'm giving this book away as soon I finish making these rolls!

Yeh, the weight thing. SIGH. MLette was talking about this '200 lb woman' they want to send them as a patient, and how nobody would be able to lift her etc., and that weight is awfully close to home! Not there yet, thank goodness (and hope never will be!) but well, a lot closer than I'm comfortable with. And yeh, they always said that "You're tall... you can carry it." Well, you get mighty tired 'carrying it' around (not to mention my poor knees/hips).

Decided I'm going to check out a chiropractor my cousin uses (near me) and give it a try. I've always been uber suspicious of that whole field of chiropractic medicine (esp when they treat stuff that doesn't deal with bones, joints, muscles), but my friend in FL found a great one who fixed up her hubby's problems with his arm/hand and adjusted the heck out of her and fixed some chronic problems she's had for a long time, and now they swear by it. But the problem is finding a good one, who knows what he/she is doing and is honest, versus one he doesn't have a clue and just wants to get however many visits your insurance will pay for. I'd like them to check out my back.

Funny - Mr ML LOVED Dark Shadows! LOL! I never watched it. But I loved Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas especially - his show came out of Pennsylvania at the time, I think and I was living there. I always wanted to go be a guest on his show and sing (and be discovered/start out my career like Barbara Streisand). LOL, of course THAT never happened!

mezz funny, I was thinking what a thankless job being a musician/ accompanist is the other day, maybe watching the people back up the Oscars and the Grammy awards. You get on your black outfit, you fiddle or blow your heart out, but you really don't get any recognition except as a group and the conductor or the soloist gets all the glory. It's a funny business. But the joy of making music kind of makes up for that.

That theater group is auditioning for another play and I'm going back and forth about trying out again. It would be a lot of fun, but it would also be a LOT of work and evenings away from home and hours and hours of rehearsals... sigh. I get tired just thinking about it. And then, for what - maybe two weekends of performances in June.

Happy Birthday, Tigereyes!

Welcome aboard Gabi anybody who loves Jason Behr is a friend of ours!

Oh gosh, I'd better post this before I use up my smilie quota! LOL! I think the rolls are almost done rising... It's supposed to make 2 dozen rolls. What are we going to do with 2 dozen rolls?

Well, I don't really know what the deal is with Rob Pattinson - he may be a sturdy sensible English lad and do fine... He's said most of the stuff written about him is complete lies. So, who knows. But I don't think so - and I worry about him a lot and how he's going to make it through life. Oh gawd, I bought J-14 and Popstar yesterday at the drugs store, because they had Rob P and Taylor Lautner (Jacob) stuff in there.

Oh, Notting Hill was on TV last night, and somehow Hugh Grant was reminding me of Rob P, or vice versa, even though they don't look alike. Both tall lanky upperclass English guys with floppy hair and bit of twits, I suppose. Notting Hill was SUCH a nice movie. And Rhys Ifans was in it, and he was in Shipping News with Jason so.. see, always a Jason connection somehwere!

Oh, totally cracks me up that they are saying Dakota Fanning WILL play 'fan favorite' Jane in the next Twilight movie. FAVORITE?! She's a merciless torturer (and a minor character)! She's one of the BAD GUYS, wherever did they get the idea she was anybody's 'favorite character'?!

* * 8

Just got an email from Target that they are dropping the Twilight movie price to 17.99 from $22 something for the 3-disc special set! MWAH! Thank you again Wen for that good tip to get it there instead!

MyrnaLynne, I'm so glad you had such a nice day yesterday! And I'm glad that you were happy with your haircut too!

Yes, they always push those "Add On Sales" at the beauty shop as they are told to do. They have a quota of sales that they have to do, I'm sure.

But they do sell really nice product tho'. So, most of the time you are getting your money's worth, and well sometimes you're not.

That Diet Book of yours is really something else! Seems to be the exact opposit of a diet book when it tempts you with brownies and rolls, and who knows what else! LOL!

Yes, I'd say get rid of it, if you are really trying to diet! It's the Anti-Diet Book!

Good Luck with the Chiropractor! I hope he can help you. Yes, there are lots of debates about them, but sometimes they do help, so it's worth a shot.

Oh, so Mr. ML liked Dark Shadows too! I thought the show was Excellent! Oh, and Barnabus the Vampire Could go out during the DAY because of this Lady Dr. who helped develope this antedote for him. She was also deeply in love with Barnabus, but he didn't know that as she never revealed her love for him.

Anyway, it was a cool show.

Oh, and I also used to love to watch Mike Douglas too! I though he was a really nice Host, and he had such a nice singing voice too!

Ah, the memories.

I got a nice surprise this morning in my Email... It seems that Target lowered their price for the Movie Twilight 3 Disc DVD set and are giving me the savings as well! So instead of me paying the $22.99 for it, I will now be paying $17.99! I think that's fabulous!!!

About Rob... now that he's so well known, his cast members were saying that he and Jackson Rathbone will no longer be able to go into local pubs and bars and sing on "Open Mike Night" and they're really bummed about it.

But I say, no bars or pubs mean no booze and getting drunk every night like they did on the Twilight filming, in which I think is a very good thing!

Did you happen to see the 100 New Moon pictures on the OT Thread? There's a link to it. My gosh, it seems like Everyone on the Set Smokes! There's Rob of course, and Peter F., Kristen S., Nikki Reed, Kellan L. and probably more, but I was suprised with the ones that I mentioned!

Yes, I couldn't understand why they were calling Jane the Bad Vampire a favorite! I don't like her, and can't imagine anyone who could?!

Oh, I finally rented JUNO, and watched it yesterday and I have to say for it to be the no. 1 movie of the year, and it won for Best Sound Track... I really thought I was watching the Wrong Movie! LOL!

I did NOT like that sound track AT ALL!!! And as far as the movie goes, it could have been A Lot better. Most of the characters were lifeless & dead with no emotions. I tried to keep checking to see if they were breathing! LOL!

Well, Juno's Dad was good. At least He was alive! LOL!

Out of 5 stars, I'd give it 2 stars.

Has anyone seen it? I'm curious what you all thought about it.

Oh, MOTHER is calling... I just love Caller ID...

Hugs,
Wen

We rented 'Juno' and I think we liked it. Wasn't the best movie ever made, but it was pretty good. The girls was a very perky character - and I was sooo glad she didn't have an affair with that Dad too - ick. The guy who played her dad is a wonderful actor - he's Spiderman's boss in the Spiderman movies too! And he was in Oz - and Guys and Dolls on Broadway.

We watched 'Bride and Prejudice' and that was a lot of fun - sort of like Mama Mia only India stuff, people singing and dancing all the time, but it fit more with the Bollywood theme. The director is the same Bend it Like beckham director and it was very good. But duh, I didn't get that it was based on 'Pride and Prejudice' even though I thought it was quite a coincidence the guy's name was Mr Darcy! We're going to watch MLette's DVD of 'Pride and Prejudice' next so I can compare them. Anyway, it was a very good movie. Funny thing, though, I looked up Martin Henderson, the 'American' actor who played Mr Darcy - and he's from New Zealand! LOL! Well, I guess he's an American actor now, but he's a Kiwi - he was friends with Heath Ledger too (sigh). Oh and Naveen Andrews from 'Lost' is in it and he had to sing and dance in it - pretty funny.

We went to the zoo and hiked all around on my poor legs (I took my cane) and then of course had to walk the dog and then we had to go grocery shopping. It's a really small and pretty pathetic zoo, probably only has like 20 kinds of animals, but we did see a cougar and a jaguar and bears really up close/through glass, and we saw the wolves this time (was thinking about New Moon :>) and we've never seen those wolves any time we went before. And it was a beautiful day to be outside. EVERYBODY was outside, because it was nice - I saw girls in shorts and summer shirts and believe me, it wasn't THAT nice!

Oh, that's awful that the whole Twilight cast smokes. I don't know what it is with young Hollywood - they haven't got the memo about smoking being bad for you (or about birth control either -ahem). Oh well, I guess it suppresses your appetite and that's how they all stay so twig-skinny but dumb. Dumb dumb dumb to smoke, knowing how terrible it is for you. Rob's so nervous, not surprised he smokes. My mother was a terrible smoker and she was nervous too. It's funny, because nervous people think smoking makes them calmer, but of course all that nicotine and whatever just makes them twice as jittery!

I saw a funny video this woman shot from her car, of the barn that's going to play Jacob's garage in the movie, and the crew was painting it! giggle. There isn't going to be a single bit of this film that won't be captured by somebody. Yes, Jane... a 'teen favorite'! Give me a break! The only one who likes Jane is Aro!

I'll have to check out those pix tomorrow, It's really late! (for me). Work tomorrow - but the boss is away! woohoo!
