Aww, you've shattered my illusion of Mr. ML being gallant and picking you up from the subway to give you a ride home so you don't have to walk, but come to find out it's not a chivalrous gesture at all?! It's all because he Doesn't want to walk the Dog?!!! I'm stunned! Men!

Well, he WAS Perfect up until that little bit of info! LOL!

Maybe you could suggest to him that you both could walk the dog together? That would be really nice, don't you think? I think it would be lovely.

It sounds like you have a really nice Theater! Most towns tear down the lovely old theaters and build the New Fancy ones, and it's kind of sad that they do. Where's the history in that?!

Oh Gosh, so Castle DID air at 10pm on the East Coast after all?! Gee, I'm sorry you missed it! I thought it was good... a little corny in some spots, but all in all pretty good! Yes, Nathan Fillion is a cutie, and he plays the character Really Well!

And sorry you missed half of the Mentalist too! You are batting a 1000! Well, you could have said that you were in the middle of something important, and have asked her if you could call her back, (after the show was over.) Just a thought.

And that was nice of Mr. ML offering to drive to Connecticut to pick up your Uncle so he could lead the Passover seder. I hope he's feeling well enough to do it again this year. If he's not, then who in the family would lead it? Would it be Mr. ML?

I just LOVE Connecticut... Such a Beautiful state! And I just LOVE their older homes... Just lovely. If things would have worked out between Satan Jr. and I, we had planned to retire there. Oh well, best made plans...

But I'm VERY HAPPY living in CA, and I love the area that I live in, right next to San Francisco and Napa Valley, and not too far from Lake Tahoe, and not that, that far from Monterey and Carmel too. I just Love Northern CA.

Southern CA is just way too congested for me, and I just don't like the area that much... give me Northern CA any day!

Poddy!

Hope Everyone is having a Great Day!

Biggest Hugs,
Wen

SO........alittle more about our lunch. The cafe was a very cozy Greekish place andScottie andI had Gero's.....which I really enjoyed since you don't get them every day...yum.LTL got a lovely looking salad with scallops on top but of course the company and conversation was the real attraction. It was really nice for me to hang with some friends my age(not to mention ones that I have my scifi/fantasy/teen alian tale fetish The girls shared someof their experiances with Ros events that I missed plus sharing how we all got tied into FF and how fun it has been to learn about computer stuff in such a fun way I am such a rube that when I got back into a cab to get home I got in the front seat. Did you guys see that LTL and Scottie?) I looked at the guys face and got it....and got back in the back He was a dud though.....didn't know where he was going.....we took the sceeninc route home(not all bad...got to see some memorials) I had to help him figure it out,,,,,,the blind leading the blind. The man over was great.....Walter says DC cabbies are badand Arlington ones way better. That is how it worksIam now realizing.

ML How is your snow? Gone I hope! Yes Liz got a maid about a year ago.........she didn't want to since she is fruggle(or cheap some would say ) but they both work long hours and of course let things go cause they are young..and the laundry has to be done in the laundromat down in the basement SO it has been good for her. Especially now....good thing they have her!!! Makes it nicer for me too I don't have to clean near as much when I come YES you know aU2 song!!!!!!! The song they played at the end os season one/two? When Tess took off in the space ship and the kids were all on the rocks watching the cheesey special effect ship take off that is U2

Liz just called ...she's on her way to see the heartbeat God willing.

Wen We did have fun.thanks .........the only way it could have been nicer is if you and ML could have been there! I have a hill really not a mountain blocking rays. It is named IRon Hill and when I went to UofD and lived in Newark De(where I also lived as an adult for a long time) we called it Radio Free Newark because the radio reception is so bad Your view sounds so lovely

GUESS WHAT GUYS?? I'm reading Twighlight..........and loving it and another cool thing...............Em just emailed me and said there is amovie theater that is like a reastuarnt here......so tonight while Liz and Walter have the bible study they host every Wed night.........she and I are going to go see the Twighlite movie so I have to try and read the whole thing today I have skipped most of the posts you guys did on it cause I knew I was going to try to read it...........so I was surprised to see it is Roswell redux it is the Max/Liz story all over. It is a really fast read so I have a chance to do it...........so I'm gonna go say a prayer for Liz then get to reading..........I'll check in in a bit.........right now in the story.......she is saying no to Mike and Eric about the dance

Have to post the sleep-running dog to go with the funny cats

YouTube - Sleep Running Dog

I just saw on TV that Walmart has the Twilight movie for $17 and I'm paying a lot more for preorder at Amazon! Wonder if that's just the movie or has the extra stuff/2 disks as well? Plus Borders and Blockbuster are having midnight release parties March 20! Sounds like fun!

Rats, I just checked and 'Castle' is on at 10. Boy am I a dolt!

Oh Poddy squee! I'm so glad you are loving 'Twilight'! Mr ML said the movie is still playing somewhere around us too. But the DVD is coming out pretty soon. The books are pretty fast reads - but then you end up reading them over and over again... can't... stop... reading... Twilight!

They used a U2 song for Roswell? They really did have the best music on that show (grr but not on the DVDs.. not going there!)

It's true, I learned almost all of my computer skills out of a need to post on Fanforum and talk about Jason! I really loved WordPerfect and I was very angry that I had to give it up because of Bill Gates and Windows and their stupid Word. Oh well, life is change... I have to get over it!

Your visit with the gals sounds wonderful! I love Greek food! Especially Greek desserts!

I think I'd like Northern California a lot (already think I'd like the Pacific Northwest a lot). I should go check it out someday and see if I'm right! My cousin's older daughter is getting her PhD at some college in San Fran area and living outside of there. I've been to LA a lot (for JB and family stuff) but never San Francisco.

I wish Mr ML would fly, it would make travelling a whole lot simpler (and we could go a whole lot further too).

With GPS nowadays, there is no excuse for a bad taxi driver. We had to take a taxi from LA to another town - $$$ - (where the Rosebowl is, blanking on it, begins with an S...) and the taxi driver missed the exit/didn't know how to get us there, and then when he got the right exit, took us to the wrong hotel. Oh, he was a dunce and it was very stressful. I avoid taking taxis - goes against the whole 'getting in the car with a strange man' thing!

Poddy!!! Yay, you are READING Twilight!!!

I'm so happy you are Loving it!

And Yes, it is kind of like Max and Liz... forbidden love, young intense love, Oh the memories of all those feelings back again. (sigh)

And yes, it is a fast read... very easy to read, and hard to put down.

Best of All, you are enjoying it!!!

I will say it now... I'm madly in Love with Edward!

And you are going to see the Twilight Movie Tonight! That's Wonderful! And it's good that you are reading the Book 1st, because they leave a lot out in the movie, but you understand it better after reading the book.

I wish I were going with you to see the movie too!!!

But I have my copy ordered from Target with the 3Disc Special with Rob playing the piano and extra Kissing Scenes of Bella and Edward! Can't hardly wait to get it... I pre-ordered it. You should check it out... it's only $22.99!!! What a Deal for 3Discs, and tons of deleted scenes and interviews and videos and I could go on and on and on! LOL!

Enjoy the book and the movie!!!

MyrnaLynne, The Walmart version for $17.00 is just the reg. DVD... NO EXTRA'S at all!!! So, I'm sure you got a better deal at Amazon!

Biggest Hugs,
Wen

LOL, I remember I bought this denim tent dress and wore it to work and everybody said "You're PREGNANT?!" I guess the dress was a dead giveaway!

Oh, Edward and Bella having lunch! sigh! When you finish Twilight, you should go online and read Midnight Sun at Stepheniemeyer.com - she rewrote the whole 'Twilight' story from Edward's POV, or at least she did until somebody leaked it and she had a snit fit and quit writing it! (I think that was probably an excuse, she probably got bored with it.) But she took pity and posted it for the Twilight fans. She showed it to Rob Pattinson, too, to help him with playing Edward in the 'Twilight' movie.

Oh, enjoy the movie! It's different from the book, they've added and taken away and changed things, but overall, they did a good job of capturing it, I think.

There's a THREE disc set?! I want the extra-extra stuff! POUT!

It really is a lot like Roswell - high school, 'alien' forbidden love, teen angst, families, small town - it's all there, all the key elements that make it totally addictive!

Where Roswell went wrong imho is they thought it was a science fiction series and wasn't a teen love story! (Thanks Ron Moore - grumble)

I love this place with its open arms for remiss posters! Glad to be back!

Podmom - didn't we have fun! It was almost like we had so much to talk about we kept tripping over each other, I know I did that about ten times! We have so much in common, it's uncanny. And I have to admit that LTL and I CRACKED up at you getting in the front seat with the taxi driver! I said "she got in the front seat!" and LTL looked over just in time to see you get in and we laughed! But it was all in good fun, it's just that in DC no one gets in the front seat unless you have a large party and someone has to get in front. IMO the cabs always stink (or maybe it's the cab driver!) and I need to be in the back! That was funny! Glad you made it back in one piece even though you took the roundabout route. I think most DC cabbies are used to driving around the white house and museums and that's about it.

Wen - thanks for the welcome back, my family's fine, thank you for asking. And I did see Jason's new movie news (actually LTL tipped me off when she called me on Sunday to tell me about Poddy coming to town for lunch). I really hope it comes to be. I had the worst feeling that Jason would be playing the FATHER of Jenna Malone though. How old is she? Wouldn't that just be so wrong to be the fan of a guy playing a teen who after years of us being his fan he is now playing a father of a teen? Not saying that's what's happening in the movie, it's just that it would be WRONG! LOL! We need more information about the roles so I can get that taste out of my mouth!

ML - so cool that U2's playing at such a small theatre, that would be awesome to see them. I really like U2, and if you listen to current radio at all you've probably heard lots of their songs, but you just don't know that it's U2 singing. My husband does that all the time, he never knows who's singing. I love to know who the band is when a song comes on.

Gotta scoot, gonna get my hair done and I've gotta leave early! Finally going to get rid of the stripe down the middle of my hair (that's now predominantly WHITE!).

One more thing, Podmom says that VB isn't posting anymore. Does anyone talk to her privately that might know if everything's okay with her? I always keep her in my prayers.

Wave Scottie! Sounds like you all had a blast (and getting rid of the skunk stripe is always important). It's so nice to talk to people who 'get' you and like the same things!

Nope, haven't heard from VB but I assume she's just busy with other things like everybody else when they aren't around here. Miss her, too! So interesting to hear about her life in Israel, plus she's just a great gal. (Still would like to fix Mr ML Jr up with her for a trans-atlantic romance, except he's not religious enough for her).

Saw this interesting thing about Daylight Savings Time, now that it's just happened:

US Daylight Saving Time (DST) is not observed in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, or the state of Arizona, with the exception of the Navajo Indian Nation, which does observe DST. (Indiana adopted DST in 2006; 18 counties use Central Daylight Time, and 74 Eastern Daylight Time.) The Energy Policy Act of 2005 extended DST for one month so that, where it is observed in the US, it will start in early March and end in early November

Must be confusing in those states that don't go along with everybody, or that have two different time zones!

I think I'm adapting to the time change pretty well, except I don't like it being dark in the mornings again. But I like it being light longer in the evening!

Oh gosh my one friend is a HUGE fan of U2 and she was so wishing we could trade places! All I know is one guy is Bono and the other guy is The Edge (what kind of name is that?). And they had a record called Joshua Tree, because Jason likes Joshua Tree park - there was some Jason connection there. I was more upset the time Kevin Spacey was doing his 'Beyond the Sea' tour and played there, and I didn't know it until he was there and it was all sold out! But then again, I probably only like him because he was in the Shipping News with Jason.

hey again

Could I spell Twilight wrong a few more times Man my posts are painful.....you guys are indulgent!! I see all the errors when I read them over(which I should do more often....and especially when Igo fast....ah well.....not my gift)

Scottie good to see you So you guys did see me get in the front even I cracked up at that Might be force of habit. When I go on trips with my 3 girlfriends...I always sit with the cab driver because I'm the oldest and can hack it the best I get my stripe done tomorrow....I can't wait.plus my hair is way too long Made me think of the group The White Stripes....I like those two......ineresting dynamic. Me too I like to know the names of the groups........the new car radios are great when they scroll the name on the screen Have fun on your trip!

ML You got that right about the wrong direction of Roswell I sent Em that link you sent me......she'll be reading at work as I type probably

I'm not gonna finish...I had to start reading every word now that they are together.she just met the vampire fam ......it really is fun great to have a light fun read again.it has been ages and ages! Have time for a fewmore pages before Liz gets home.

Poddy! How Exciting for Liz to see the baby's heart beating for the very 1st time!!! Wow, 7 weeks and 4 days! They really can get exact now a days! I'm so happy for Liz and your family!!! Truly a very special time in your lives!

That's funny that she's going to 'spill the beans' at work now. Well, at least if will ease the minds of the ones that have been worried about her being sick all the time. Now they'll know why!

I'm sure her office will be sooo happy for her!

Oh, I emailed you MIDNIGHT SUN! Enjoy!

MyrnaLynne, if you want Target's 3 Disc set with all the YUMMY SPECIAL FEATURES, then Cancel your Amazon Order and go Pre-Order your 3Disc Special Edition copy of Twilight from Target instead! Email them if you have to if they don't have a Cancel Clause, and I'm sure they'll let you Cancel the Order. It shouldn't be a problem. It's worth a shot, right?!

And yes, Twilight is kind of like Roswell... just like you said! Even MOTHER commented to me saying that I'm substituting Twilight for Roswell. LOL!

Scottie! Yes, it's sooo good to have you back posting! And don't EVER think that you wouldn't be welcome here... That would be the furthest from the Truth!!! We All Care About You!!!

I'm so glad that you and LTL had such a nice time with Poddy yesterday! Jason does have the absolute the BEST FANS!!!

And speaking of Jason... I NEVER thought about Jason playing the (gulp!) Father! No, no, he's still looks too young for that... right? I'm trying to convince myself as I write! LOL!

I know, he was like that Brittish boy who fathered a child when he was 12! No, no, that's too sad for it to work as a background story in 'Remnants'.

I know, he could just be the Big Brother! There, I'm happier with that scenerio! LOL!

And I also keep Vero in my prayers. I'm just hoping that she's been busy with other things in her life. She's such a Sweetheart, and I miss her terribly!

Have fun at your hair appt.

LTL, I hope your Presentation went really well!

Hugs to All,
Wen

I took your advice Wen and cancelled the 2 disk at Amazon for the 3-disk at Target (which is sold by Amazon anyway, go figure!) and it only cost me a dollar or two more, for tax (because Target has stores in my state). Still, worth it for a 3rd disk for only a few more dollars! Thanks for the advice! I definitely want to see more deleted scenes and Edward playing the piano... SIGH!

It's was a crazy scene around the theater when I came home - people all standing around, staring at the back of the theater, trucks etc. It really looked like people revereantly waiting for the Second Coming (no offense) or maybe the aliens to land and take them away - it was freaky! Mr ML's brother took a bunch of photos and sent them around to the family, it was so unbelievable. The one street was totally blocked up with news vans, with those high antennas (I usually only see those at the hospital when some celebrity or other is a patient). One of Mr ML's friends said he spotted the U2 guys being delivered to the theater by the police (but I don't think he's a fan either, so he didn't really care). Mr ML went down to take a look.

I tried to watch Castle at ABC and it said I don't have the right player or something. Maybe my son will let me watch it on his big computer, while he's watching Lost later.

Don't worry about the spelling Poddy - we love you and we generally figure out what you're trying to spell. :p

There is NO WAY that Jason is going to play the father of a teenager! He's too young! I'm sure he and Shane West will be fighting over the last girl on earth. Well, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it!

It's amazing how scientific having kids is nowadays. They know everything. I remember my one niece sending around the ultrasound and photos at the birth etc.

I did something to my back - have to go lie on the floor some more. Hope it unkinks itself.
