When fandoms collide - I just saw that 'Pinkville' is back in pre-production with Jason in the cast - and also Cam Gigandet! And I also saw that Cam and his girlfriend just had a baby girl... awww. Not that I approve of this epidemic of unwed baby having in Hollywood (and elsewhere) but.. aw anyway.

Also totally forgot about the postapocalyptic movie Jason is going to make called "Remnants' with Jena Malone and Shane West! Awesome cast (tiny budget).

So - two potential Jason projects to look forward to. Also saw that Rob is going to make some dark romantic comedy once he finished doing 'New Moon' and before he comes back to do 'Eclipse.' Cool! I'm glad he's taking advantage of his current 'hot' status.

It must really be awful for them, though, the constant paparazzi attention and everything they do reported on 27 different websites (with pictures). I thought it was interesting that Summit wanted to play down the fact Kristen has a steady boyfriend, and didn't want him visiting her on the set, so Twilighters could have the fantasy that there's something going on with Rob and Kristen aside from playing roles together in a movie. Reminds me of the days when movie stars couldn't say they were married (and when gay people had to pretend they were straight - oh wait, that's still going on today). sigh.

I am just so antsy today I can't settle down! No idea why. It's getting very hot out there - didn't feel bad going over to lunch, but coming back... sizzle. Everyone is so happy about the 'nice' weather but when it's too hot, I don't think it's nice atall!

I bet your grandmother also was leery of signing up as an Indian, in case the government would use the list to round them up and do bad things to them again! I'd be suspicious of any deals the government was offering after the history they had with the Indian peoples. It's too bad, though, that your family lost out. Seems like they could do some digging and sign up again - would think the tribes would welcome long-lost members. (Unless they had casino money!)

I always thought the Indians were very cool but we don't have any Indians in the family at all. Althogh maybe some of the Indian tribes are the 'lost tribes' of the Bible and are secretly related to the Jewish people!

I was reading about Indians a little today (tsk). I thought it was really interesting that the Ojibwe and Chippewa are branches of the same people, just their original Indian name Anishinaabe (mis)pronounced differently. A lot of the Hiawatha words like 'wigwam' and 'gitcheegumi' are from Ojibwe words.

Dreading leaving the 73 F office and facing the HOT HOT HOT out there. We don't even have the AC stuck in the window in our 'cool room' yet or the fans dragged out. This heat came too much by surprise/too early!

Here's me, going up in flames (giggle)

Poddy, You are so funny! ... "she who vacumes and dusts" must get on with squaw work"

Yes, too bad N.A. Grandmother was too Proud to register. Sucks for all of her off-spring.

And Yes, MyrnaLynne, You are probably right too... about her being leary about signing up for Anything after all the horrors I'm sure she had seen by what the Government had done to her People!

I really wished I had gotten to know her, but alas, she died from uterine cancer at the age of 49, when my Dad was 5, and he was the baby of 10 children, (5 boys & 5 girls).

But my Aunts, (my Dad's sisters), had told me that she was a gentle soul, and the kindest and sweetest woman they ever knew. That she was a Wonderful Mother and an Angel here on Earth.

That was really nice to hear about her. But I wish I knew more about her, but my Aunts are all gone now. And I only have one uncle left... out of the 10 kids, he's it and I'm not really close to him. I really don't even know him. I only I met him once when I was about 15, and that was even fleating when we went to visit the family in Oklahoma for a family reunion.

There were sooo many people (family) that I couldn't keep them all straight! And it was held at a park, and we had a huge BBQ, and I just more or less hung out with some cousins that were kind of my age and we got along really well right away.

So when I was introduced to my Aunts and Uncles, I really couldn't even keep them straight, except for the one Aunt that we were staying with, and the one Uncle that had the kids, (the cousins that I hung out with).

And the one surviving Uncle lived in Texas so he was only there for the one day, and he still lives in Texas to this day.

MOTHER calls him and his wife occassionally, and sends Christmas cards, but they aren't really that close either.

I feel it would be odd to suddenly write to him and say 'Hi, I know you don't know me from Adam, but please tell my all about my grandmother.' That would be kind of strange, you know? (sigh)

Well, I see that the weather is going to be a lot cooler today back East! So you get a Break again from that terrible heatwave. And it seems that it will be in the 60's for the rest of the week too, so no sudden heatwaves to worry about for now.

I get to be lazy today because I don't have Any Appts today!

It seems that I've been running every day to appts for this, that, and the other thing! And if the appts haven't been for me, then they've been for MOTHER. I'm tired just from going to appts!

I watched ET last night and nothing on New Moon again, so I'm wondering if they just scrapped the whole segment. But I just keep watching tho', because as soon as I stop watching, then THAT'S when they'll have it!

I hope Everyone Has a Great Day!

Biggest Hugs!
Wen ... aka 'one who never sleeps'

LOL, we should all come up with Indian names for ourselves.

When we were kids my friend and I made up a made-up Indian tribe for ourselves (our school library had an Indian language dictionary) and gave ourselves secret Indian names. We did lots of funny stuff back then. Like talking with pretend Liverpool accents like the Beatles - as if we'd fool anybody we were from England, in the middle of Pennsylvania.

Yep, it was a scorcher yesterday (but thank goodness, only hot and not humid) - I dragged out a big fan and sat in front of it. I checked the thermometer after work and it was 87 - and later it was 77, and at bedtime it was 67. and this morning - 47! Dropped 40 degrees back to normal.

I know what you mean about big families and so many people you can't keep them straight. Mr ML has several sets of cousins and each family has like 7 or 8 kids, and I still don't have their names straight and which family they belong to, and it's going to be 30 years I've known them! Hmm, guess that says something about how good my memory is/how well I pay attention.

I don't think your Uncle would mind hearing from you - say something like you are working on a family geneology and want to find out about your grandmother or interested in family stories or something. What a pity she died so young, and left so many kids behind. But from your description of her personality - it sounds like you've taken after her! Once those relatives are gone, the stories go with them. (sigh)

I looked online at ET coming attractions for last night, and it was more of the same stuff from the previous day (or else they had the old coming attraction). They did have a bit longer RobP interview online, where he says he and Kristen are just good friends, no romance going on there. I think "New Moon" might be better than the book! Well, we'll 'see' Edward more. And those wolfpack boys are hot! And they insisted on them all being from some Indian tribe or another, too. Although I pictured Sam as being older/looking different.

I threw in a frozen pizza for supper because it was quick and something everybody eats (it was unbearably hot out, so of course Mr ML was out playing basketball!). But it was kind of icky and there wasn't much of it (which, since it was kind of icky, meant there was plenty of it!) We went out for ice cream and the place was mobbed, because it was hot, and also because they serve food as well as ice cream and lots of people where there because it was too hot to cook.

We had the black clouds come in then and it looked like we were going to get a terrible storm - but we just got the edge of it - a few fat raindrops and that was about it. Crazy weather (although if the weather is continually crazy - does it stop being 'crazy weather'?)

Poor MLette had to work sooo late last night, took one of her 'people' to the hospital and had to stay with her while they checked her out - she didn't get home til like 10:30 and she's usually in bed by 10. Poor kid! We brought home some ice cream for her, though, so she didn't miss out.

"Mentalist" was pretty good, although they really play it mostly for laughs/with a very light touch. Yeh, somebody is killed each week and they investigate, but that's sort of a minor point. Mr ML didn't like the whole obsession with the guy who killed his wife/kid (Red John) and the super-elusive brilliant evil badguy and I read that's what they'll revisit in the finale, so we're not going to like it. I forgot the shows are all about to wrap up for the summer soon! TV is changing so much, I forgot they still had a 'season' and 'summer reruns.'

Woo, that means 'Eureka' is going to come back for the summer! I like that one and my 2 friends REALLY like it. Plus I think they are going to run the last few episodes of "Eli Stone" they never bothered showing, during this summer. TV has really, no pun, done down the tubes.

Oh, Wen I meant to say I am faithful in my sleep too - can never have racy dreams about other guys with Mr ML sleeping right there -and if I start to, I feel guilty and it wakes me up! LOL! Nothing exciting happened in the dream about Jason, he was just there and I was seeing him - I don't remember exactly but it went on for awhile and I was so happy to see him again!

Oops we are over 300 posts - need to make a new thread!

MyrnaLynne, LOL! What fun that you made up Indian names for yourselves when you were a kid with your friend! LOL! btw, what was Your Indian Name?!

And LOL with your Liverpool accent... were you any good at the accent?! I can't do accents too well, except for a Southern accent... I can do that really well (since my Dad was from Oklahoma), it was like 2nd nature to mimic him.

But I definitely had a New England accent growing up, but now I don't since I've been living in CA... lost most of it, except when I start talking with peeps from back home (New England), and then it comes right back without me even knowing it! LOL!

Lainie will say... "You're doing it again! Talking like them on the phone", while I'm on the phone! And she makes me laugh when she says that, because I don't even notice! LOL!

Yes, I'm glad it's cooled down for you, but that's pretty drastic... dropping 40* over night! The weather really has been CrAzY all over!

And I can see how it really is so hard to keep large families straight!... So don't feel bad! It really is so hard to do!

Yes, I just have to get up the nerve to write to my Uncle and do it in such a way that it's not weird for both him and me. I'll try to figure something out.

And thank you for the nice compliment about me having the personality like my grandmother... that was kind of you to say.

And yes, they seem to be adding quite a lot to the Movie New Moon, more than what was in the book, but I don't think I like the idea of theirs to have Bella have nightmares of Edward as a Demon. No, I don't like that part at all.

And yes, Sam IS older than the other boys in the book, and I totally pictured him differently too, but you are right... those wolf boys are HOT! I just never pictured them like that!

And I always pictured Jacob as being kind of Big and clunky if you know what I mean. Not bad looking, and just not articulate like Edward is. More like rough around the edges, you know? But really sweet, and really big hearted... a gentle giant.

And I also saw that interview with Rob with him saying that he and Kristen were just good friends and nothing more. But the tabloids keeps trying to play it up that they are more than just friends, or any woman that he's seen with that they say he's instantly involved with when it's just not true.

My kids like that Digorno's (sp?) pizza a lot, so that's the only one we buy anymore. It goes on sale a lot too, so that's always nice!

There's a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream place right by MOTHER'S which is really just a few blocks up the street from me, and that place is ALWAYS busy!

We go there occassionally, but it's so dang busy that we have to go to our car to eat our ice cream.

We have another Ice Cream Place here in town, Foster's, which is Very Nice! They sell food as well, but they sell Ice Cream... Soft Serve, (which I Love!), and even tho' they are always busy too, they usually have enough seating so you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. They also have tables outside, which is where I like to sit, and we usually can get one of those tables pretty easily.

The place is very retro... all done up in the 50's style, with Rock-n-Roll playing in the background... not blairing, but just right. It's a really nice place.

Hmm, we haven't been in a while. We need to go soon!

Poor MLette, having to work so late. Does she require a lot of sleep? I hope she's not tired all day from having to stay up past her bedtime, poor kid.

My No.1 son, (that now works for COMCAST Cable), is suppose to work four 10's, and then he get three days off, but he ends up working 12 hrs a day easily! Poor kid is really tired when he gets home.

They have dispatchers that assign them their jobs for the day, and they just overload these guys! Plus if a job takes longer than expected, ...like if the customer says that they wanted this, this, and this, when the dispatcher only has one item listed, then they just can't say NO to the customer... they do what the customer wants. And my son says it happens all the time because most of the time, they don't listen to the customer when the customer is placing the order.

But sometimes, yes, the customer tries to add on stuff and then that's when they have to say No and tell then that it'll have to be done at another time and that they'll schedule it for them and they'll call the dispatcher for the customer..., but even that takes time and adds to their time too.

Anyway, he works his butt off, and even tho' he does, he still likes it way better than being a relief driver for Frito Lay. He said if he had his own route with Frito Lay, it would have been so much better, but someone would have had to die 1st for him to have gotten a route, and he wasn't willing to wait that long.

I'll be glad when Eli Stone comes back on! Speaking of Eli Stone... I saw his bro' on Brothers and Sisters! I don't watch the show, but spotted him in a preview of Brothers and Sisters! I don't know if he'll be a regular on the show now, or if he's just passing thru', but I was surprised to see him on there!

I wonder what Johnny Miller has been doing with his free time? I hope he's been working... I mean with his new baby and all to feed, I hope he's been doing something productive!

Gosh, Hollywood has just Exploded with Babies Everywhere! Doesn't it seem that everyone in Hollywood have been having Babies left and right, with young and old actors having them! Plus all the Twins being born in Hollywood too! I just heard about Matthew Brodrick and his wife are expecting twins now! It's an epidemic of Twins in Hollywood!

Oh, did you see the ET interview with Hugh Jackman? He had me laughing so hard! He's so funny! LOL! And Of Course my Lainie was sitting at the edge of her seat watching it too, since she thinks he's All THAT! LOL! Well, he does have a nice upper body, I'll give him that, but that's all I've seen of him so far.

Biggest Hugs,
Wen

Ugh... ate way too much lunch... ugh... They had something new called 'maple-pumpkin polenta.' Somethng the Indians would approve of. I read that the Ojibwe preserved stuff with maple syrup - maybe that explains Jason's sweet tooth. They were also fast runners so - there you go!

I did see a Hugh Jackman interview (not sure it was the same) and he is very funny. He just is so POSITIVE all the time, that it's kind of scary. He just seems like a very happy person though - loves his wife, loves his kids, loves his job, etc!
Supposedly he bulked up even more scarily than Jason did for Skinwalkers, to play Wolverine for this one. He got huge muscles. I don't know how guys do that, but they do.

Then again, they have tons of self discipline and I have zero! Heard 2 women at the next table talking about dieting and Weight Watchers and how many points things were and I thought "Glad it's them and not me!" Although I do need to do something, or I'll end up like Jabba the Hutt.

Wow, there was a woman on TV in an ad who lost 240 lbs! That's like 2 other people!! She was so fat, she looked like a meatball walking around on 2 toothpick legs, and 'after' she was a normal, nice looking person. So I suppose it's possible.

I have a friend who was nuts about Hugh Jackman. He's good looking and nice and a good actor (and Australian, always a plus) but - shrug - he doesn't do a thing for me! LOL! Kind of like Tom Welling - I appreciate he's an absolutely gorgeous and beautiful man but - he just seems really boring to me. No spark there at all.

LOL, my brother in California does the same thing - whenever he talks to my parents or is in this area, he picks up the Boston accent again instantly. He always had a stronger Boston accent from my parents. I had a Maine accent, from growing up in Maine, but as soon as we moved to Pennsylvania when I was 12 and somebody commented on my 'cute accent' I got rid of it right away!

Well, Bella did have screaming horrifying nightmares in the book, after Edward left, screaming and crying in her sleep every single night - so it must have been something bad. Edward was such an idiot to try to leave her 'for her own good.'
Yeh, I guess I picture Jacob the same way, although now of course reading the books I picture him looking like Taylor Lautner, only way over 6 feet.

I wonder if Taylor can pull off the emotional stuff Jacob goes through in this movie. Hope so. Also hope the whole werewolf thing isn't going to look cheezy. Although the CGI critters in 'Golden Compass' were good (they were better than the movie, in fact). ahem.

Your ice cream places sound nice. This place was basically a soft serve stand, open in the summer, but they expanded to have some seats and sell pizza and other stuff beside soft serve. Summer isn't summer without one soft-serve cone, but I didn't think their tasted very good. Maybe my palate is getting more refined with age and I don't like soft-serve as much anymore (or maybe theirs just doesn't taste good).

There is one vanilla that is really really good, it's Turkey Hill 'Philadelphia style' that is just cream and sugar and vanilla - no long strings of chemicals in there. Can't always find it though. The chocolate is good too - doesn't have any corn syrup or anything, so we could use it over Passover.

Funny, I guess with corn being used to run cars, the price of corn syrup must have gone way up, because now all the companies are putting sugar back into everything, claiming it's 'the good stuff' and the 'natural stuff' etc. When they got rid of original Coke and everybody complained and then they brought it back - they brought it back minus the sugar (put in corn syrup instead) and it never was as good. I saw Pepsi is making some 'retro' Pepsi with sugar now. Maybe Coke will follow suit. Cracks me up corn syrup is running commercials saying how healthy it is, and what's the fuss over it (high fructose corn syrup is bad for you - trust me on this).

Oh well, doesn't matter, I don't drink soda anymore except for seltzer water. Another Atkins diet holdover that seems very healthy. Who needs to drink a giant glass of sugar water, and I don't like artificial sweetners so..

I think I'm pretty good with accents/have an ear for foreign languages, not that it comes up that often! LOL! I think it is related to having an ear for music (like Rob, as I said before). Mr ML is terrible with accents, and he has a strong local accent himself too, it's very cute.

Yes, MLette needs a lot of sleep. I don't know if it has anything to do with her having been sick, or that's the way she is. Her dad is a champion sleeper too. I just can't stay in bed that long, like on the weekends - when I'm done sleeping, I get up! I thought she'd be able to take the day off today, after working so late yesterday, but she's not. I think she sort of makes her own hours, though, being the boss.

Your son really has to put up with a lot on that job - dealing with 'the public' is the worst! And stupid dispatchers for not taking down everything the customer wants. It's like when they come up here to put in a phone - people crawl under the desks and send them the exact number of the phone jack to turn on - and the guys always come and say "Did somebody need a phone put in?" "Do you know which desk?" etc - they never get all the information.
