| Wow!... Busy day here while I was away! [eek!] I had a busy day today too, ... went and got MOTHER'S cake, and picked up the ice cream and party supplies such as party plates, napkins, cups and that stuff. Plus I had to do some grocery shopping too as Teddi had the last of his dog food for breakfast, so I couldn't forget that, (Heaven Forbid!), and of course we were out of a bunch of stuff as well. I literally dragged Lainie along with me because I knew I'd need the help with all this stuff, even tho' she moaned and wanted to sleep in, but she did get up and came with me, after I announced that I hadn't even been to bed yet as I hadn't slept at all last night, (but what else is new?!!!) I also picked up some freshly baked muffins while at the bakery, thinking that No.2 son would enjoy them when he got up, and figured he'd be getting up as we would be getting home, but low and behold, when we got home, he was Gone! ![]() Apparently, one of his friends called him to go out for Breakfast, so he went! LOL! So much for the Freshly Baked Muffins for him. LOL! Well, he can always eat them later, but I meant well. ![]() Thanks Everyone for not minding me Venting! ![]() Poddy, I'll have to look into that book you reccommended. I really do have a problem with setting limits and boundaries, but I do set them (sometimes), and of course, that's when MOTHER usually Throws Her TANTRUMS! But I don't give into them anymore, and I just let her throw her fits, because at that point, she's not about to listen to any kind of reason! She wants HER WAY and that's it!!! (sigh) I'm glad you are getting stronger and can set these limits with your Mom and Bro'. It must be a Giant Weight off your shoulders to be able to communicate with them, and be actually HEARD by them! Unfortunately, MOTHER Only hears what she wants to hear, and refuses to bend in any form or fashion. :< She's a Giant Child, and wants it her way All The Time. (sigh) And no, your post did not sound preachy at all. ![]() MyrnaLynne, I'm glad you liked the Rob video I sent you. But I thought there was only ONE Manip of him in it... the one with him wearing the white shirt in the water. But the other pictures were really of him, right?! Oh wait, maybe not the ones where he's with half nekkid with the half nekkid girls, but all the others are him, right?!I mean, that was Really him sitting while wearing the jeans, and that was REALLY him in that suit with no shirt, right?! Right?! It didn't look like a manip. I'm confused now. ![]() But that Really was HIM singing right?!!! Or am I wrong about that too?! It sounded like him, to me anyway. ![]() I'm glad you had a good time at the Family Party, even tho' it was a bit crowded. And that's cute how your little niece entertained you all. That's funny how she's just like her mother. LOL! You know what they say about those apples not falling far from the trees. ![]() And yes, my Bro' can be sooo incredibly Cheap, but only for some things, and for other things, he's not, like when it comes to the stuff for himself sometimes! Grrrr!!!! ![]() But you know what LTL, my late Uncle was the same way!!! So I do believe it really could be genetic! ![]() And thanks LTL for calling me a Saint too! You make me ! Well, I still say I am not a Saint, but I am responsible, and always have been... and with having a mother like mine, I always had to be!And I've caught that show 'Life of Mars' a couple of times and yes, it's EXACTLY just like the Brittish show they ripped off! Anyway, I also lived thru' the 70's and do you know what I really like about the Show... The Music! LOL! Takes me back to some good, (and bad), but Mostly Good Memories with the Music. La..la.la.la...hm..hm.hmm......![]() Mezzi, I'm sorry your StepMum is keeping her illness a secret, and has sworn your Dad to secrecy too. I can see your frustration, and I can just imagine how your Dad must feel... like totally in the middle! But she reminds me of my late father... He had that same attitude... Don't let anyone know... Like not speaking it out loud, would not make it real or something? Who knows the real reasoning to their "Tell No One" Attitude, but it's really not fair to the family who are there for them and who are Their Support System! But also, she could not be saying anything until she sees the Specialist because she wants to have all the Facts first, or all the False Alarms dealt with and it could be absolutely nothing at all in the long run, and wouldn't want to worry you needlessly. All these scenerio's... it could be one of them or none at all. You just never know with people. Either way, I'm sending you [HUGS] for your frustrations... Believe me, I've been there. [Hug!]Well, MOTHER'S Birthday turned out nice... She enjoyed herself even tho' it was just Her, my kids and myself at dinner at one of her favorite restaurants. She enjoyed the food very much! Then it was back to her place for Cake and Ice Cream and presents, but we had to wait for my Bro' and his family to show up, as they were AN HOUR LATE! Geesh! ![]() Anyway, I did enjoy talking with my nieces and nephew... they are really Great Kids!!! My niece Shannon and I talked 'Twilight & Saga' and about Rob and that was Really Nice! My nephew Evan gets his driver's license in 2 mos. and he can't hardly wait!... (But his Mother can!) LOL! She's petrified for him to be on his own in a car, and I kept telling her that he's a Very responsible kid! He's not about to do anything that would jepardise his license, and he'd be a Very careful driver, so not to worry. But she keeps picturing him being a Hot Rodder, and Speeding Everywhere! I don't know why she has that in her head?! Evan will not be like that. ![]() She just kept saying: "Well, you know how boys are! They love that Speed! They love that Racing!" And Evan and I kept looking at each other and we're like, 'what is she talking about?! No, It will not be like that!' Actually, in the area that they live in...it's so congested that Evan will be lucky if he'll be able to get over 35mph! LOL! And that's for a 5 mil radius around their house! LOL! Evan won't be going any farther than that when he 1st gets his license... My SIL will make sure of that! Jenna has a new boyfriend... how she has time, between work and school, I don't know?! LOL! Anyway, she's been seeing him for about one and half months, and she's happy. ![]() The next time our family will get together will be on Easter. We haven't decided yet on where we are going to have it yet, but it will be either at my house or my No.1 son's house. Heaven Forbid for my Bro' to EVER invite us over to HIS house for a Holiday. He does a few hours on Christmas Eve and they make a Big Deal about it! ![]() But I must say, they do give their kids Great Birthday Parties! Great Theme Parties that are a lot of fun! ![]() Well, we all ended up leaving MOTHER'S around 11pm tonight, and my Bro' and his family had an hour's ride home, plus setting the clocks ahead, meant they were going to get to bed really late! But MOTHER had a good Birthday, and really enjoyed herself, so that's what counted. ![]() I'm going to close for now... Happy Spring Forward Everyone! Biggest Hugs, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. So wonderful that you at least got to marry into a good fam His niece sounds like my Bros grandaughter. Cute thinking of Mr ML jr playing with her My bro inlaw got the new england medjournal...it was in front of the toilet in their powder room all those years(they lived in Mass) not read I don't think now who would have thought I'd meet someone that worked there...life is funny that way.ok/got to get (taking up the soup and zuchinni bread I made for LIz....and stuff for cooking..plus the tons of Viv paraphanalia) packing....once again poor Viv she's stressed about the change...it is hard for her to be on the move....but as she knows...and I tell her....it'sbetter than being in a home..at least for her.....she would hate it .....being unnsocial and insecure that way ....... | ML - I so love that Ever After film with Dougray. I've watched it so many times. It's just easy and fun. I always think of Dougray like that and then he was in Desperate Housewives and he was still cute but so much older. My 2nd cousin's daughter made a tv mini series with him last year. I haven't been able to see it yet as it was shown on pay tv (and I'll be blowed if I have to PAY to watch the telli). She was only in a couple of scenes I think but she did have a couple of lines to say. For a 6 year old that's pretty good ![]() As for The Step, I was thinking (once I calmed down) that maybe they were waiting for more info before talking about it. I should think more positive about her. She's really a lovely lady inside all those walls and all the protective amour and defensive weaponry. Wen - I'm glad your party went well, even if the brother was a pain. It's a shame that you have to see the brother to see your niece and nephew Oh well ![]() Poddy, safe travelling. __________________ | |||

| Well, I only worked for the printing company that typed NEJM, so I didn't actually work there - although I always thought some day I might, but never happened! But I think putting out a weekly medical journal would KILL me! We went from 4 issues a year to 6 a year, and that's plenty!! LOL, in those days the typesetting machine produced a long perforated paper tape, that was then fed into the printing machines! We might as well have been using a Gutenberg hand press! And you could only see one line of type on the screen you were typing, too - oh gosh, I was so young, and I used to fall asleep when I was typing sometimes. Oh well, I still do that here, sometimes too, although I found out if I eat the right things, I don't get a sugar rush and crash and then get sleepy. Anyway, long long time ago, my first job after college.Well, mezzsome people are just secretive about everything, but maybe that's it - the stepmum is waiting for more information, until they know more. Frustrating, though! Wen I'm glad Mother had a great birthday! My dad had a good one too, he went out to eat with my uncle and his wife, who winter down there in Florida, and with his best pal/neighbor lady. LOL, MLette asked if that lady was his girlfriend now? Gee, don't know, but they are both in their upper 80s so - whatever floats their boat, I say! ![]() mezz very cool the little daughter of the cousin was in a film with Dougray Scott! I keep hearing his name, but I didn't really know who he was until that film - but of course, now he's older and doesn't look like that film anyway! We also got "Much Ado About Nothing" - aptly named! LOL! Poor Mr ML, he couldn't understand a word they were saying, with the Shakespearean talking. I liked seeing Robert Sean Leonard in that, he was so young, and Kate Beckinsale was just a girl, I didn't even recognize her. But it was kind of boring. 'Castle' premiere tonight with Nathan Fillion! Although I read bad reviews of it, before it comes out. Oh well, I'll give it a try, because I like him. ![]() And heaven knows there's nothing ELSE to watch on TV! Oh, my nephew had a big professional camera and took a bunch of pix at the party and sent a link around - Here's Mr ML (in his famous hat) and his brother (they look a lot alike, esp the beard) teasing the little grandniece - they were having her try to guess their names, and then pretending to guess her name - it was very funny. too bad the picture is so dark though, you can't really see how good looking a hat it is (although he did get some ribbing about Orthodox Jewish guys and hats! LOL!) Well, he is the only Jewish brother in a big Catholic family now. ![]() ![]() Safe travels Podmom! You never know, some people enjoy being in a home, because there's more activity and people around and things going on. But you would know your mother better than us! Enjoy your time in DC, spoiling the little mom-to-be! Safe travels.Oh gosh! This morning it was rain, and sleet - and then SNOW! Big honking gobs of blizzard-y snow - I couldn't believe it! Then it turned back to rain and back to snow.... SIGH! I was soooo cranky the snow came back, as this weekend was beautiful and hopeful for spring.Poor Mr ML Jr had to work a 2 a.m. - 11 a.m. shift last night (this morning) and I was nervous about him being so tired and having to drive home - hopefully the snow will be all gone/turned to rain again. But what a mess it was, exactly at commuting time, a big blizzard of stupid old snow! I have had ENOUGH of the white stuff!! LOL, I baked those brownies yesterday and they were so strong, Mr ML Jr packed some to take to work, to keep him awake all night! The sad thing is, got this new diet book, and the author mentioned 'brownies' in there, and I had to put the book down and immediately go bake some brownies so - I don't think that diet book is going to work for me! ![]() Poddy Nice quotation from your boy IRoningboard, Ioan Gruffud, about his unpronounceable name: I'm determined not to lose my name. It's who I am. It has neither aided my progress nor hampered it. It's just who I am. My character. My make-up. My culture and heritage is a very rich one. So what if it's difficult for people to pronounce? We all learned how to say Schwarzenegger. He married a blond actress Alice Evans, and is hoping for the patter of little Welsh feet soon! Also read he's pals with Jamie Bamber, from Battlestar Galactica. Mr ML is so into that show now. I like James Callis - there is something Jasonish about him, his slim build, his shiny wavy dark hair - I don't know. When Jason's gone long enough, other guys who vaguely remind me of him start to look better and better!FL said Majandra's marriage to Devon Gummersall is already over. That's Hollywood! I heard from Maggie and she had a grea trip to NJ with the Bon Jovi fan club people for a special concert he did for them. She got great photos of him and had a good time - having fun with her new interests.__________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 03-09-2009 at 08:21 AM. | |||

| Hi ML Sorry about the snow I'm surprised....it was actually hot here yesterday...and is warm and sunny today. I hope it warmed up and I'm sure MrMLjr made it home...but that was a worry! The trees are budding and some blooming in DC. How did I not remember/know MrML had a beard! He looks very handsome and he is super thin as is his brother. They got good genes.....I know he eats all your wonderful baked goods so he is fortunate...plus he excercises too....like I do sometimes gotta get back to it. I love when you(or any of us) post pictures a real treat!!!! Exciting news...I'm having lunch tomorrow with LTL and Scottie Finally getting that together. LTL was so kind to call Scottie and do all the back and forthing for us...plus she has to travel a bit from her job...it is very kind...I'm looking for ward to chatting in real life. ![]() Elizabeth is on her way back from her first Drs appt...........I have been driving around here today. I went to the grocery....got lots of stuff.....I had a brain storm and used their big suitcase to haul the stuff back(elevator.....and stairs down) took 2 trips..whew.....Drove to Ems appartment and we had lunch together..... Em and her BF are coming for dinner tonight.......Lizs maid and I cleaned today...we bonded so everything is nice and Liz can rest. Wen__________________ ![]() | |||

| Mr ML and brother do look alike. I saw the picture and immediately thought that Mr ML looked just the man to be with ML. Isn't it funny how couples so often do look like they belong. Sometimes not though and you hear a couple's together or see them and are like 'what the ??' I went for a walk yesterday. I'm not fitting into my jeans very well and I confess these are the 3 pair of next size up jeans I'm in. I really must exercise more. Maybe this evening after work. I'm glad you're getting to meet LTL and Scottie Poddy. Do have lots of fun and make sure you chat heaps and laugh lots ![]() __________________ | |||

| Poddy! I didn't notice that we had posted at the same time until much later! (Sorry about that!) I would have Wished You Safe Travels!!! But I'm so glad you made it safe and sound down to Liz's. And that you had a nice lunch with Emily too! ![]() You cracked me up when you said that you and Liz's maid Bonded while cleaning together! ![]() Ah, Never Change Poddy, Your Wit is Priceless!!! ![]() Oh and that's Wonderful that you'll be having lunch with LTL & Scottie! Please tell Scottie that I miss her, and wish her well, and that I send Big Hugs! Also, you'll have to tell her all about Our Jason's New Movie 'Remnants' that he's making! ![]() MyrnaLynne, What a nice picture of Mr. ML and his Bro' and your little niece! Yes, he does look good with his hat on, and I just love his big smile too! And yes, he & his Bro' do look-a-like. Does most of his family look-a-like?I know he's one of 10 kids, like my Dad's family... and with my Dad's family, half looked like their mother, and the other half looked like their father. My Dad looked like his Mother with the dark hair and dark eyes (since she was Native American), and the kids that looked like his father were blue-eyed and blondish as he was Irish and very fair. It was funny how that turned out like that, 5 brunettes & 5 blonds. Anyway, I'm glad you all had a nice time at the Family Party! And I'm glad to hear that your Dad had a nice Birthday too! ![]() Hmm, so, he had dinner with his gal/pal along with his Bro' and wife... Nice! I'm glad he wasn't alone on his Special Day! ![]() Sorry to hear about your Wild Weather Today! And here I thought it was getting nice too! Hopefully those storms will be fewer and fewer! (cross fingers!)And that's really too bad to hear about Majandra and Devon's marriage didn't work out. Really sad news. ![]() But that's Great News about Poddy's 'Ironing Board "Ioan Gruffud" happily married and wanting little ones! Mezzi! It's sooo good to see you posting here again! ![]() ![]() ![]() You mentioned not wanting to pay for TV... You don't pay for TV?! Don't you have Cable tho, and don't you pay for that? In my town, we Have to have cable because without it, we wouldn't hardly get any channels!!! We have mountains probably halfway around my town which prevent the TV signals from getting to my TV. So it's either pay for TV or just get 2 or 3 channels, so we chose to pay for TV. Besides, we've been paying for cable so long that it doesn't even bother me anymore. It's just part of life now. ![]() Sending Biggest Hugs to All, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | Yes Australia has had cable TV for around hmmm..... 10 or so, maybe less. We're just launching free digital tv so technically now we have 8-10 free to air channels. The main things on telli are all on the free to air and the rest you can either borrow the DVDs of or miss. All the stuff that you guys watch generally comes to free to air. I don't watch much tv anyway. Of course it means that all of summer tv is cricket and tennis. Most of winter is football (we have 3 codes here: union, league and Aussie Rules). Lots of people have cable but it's awfully expensive and unless you are a sports fan or a movie maniac there's not much point IMO. Also Aussie tv is much more ummm.... loose?? than US tv for eg, Sex in the City was on our free to air as is Dexter. Pulp Fiction was shown on free to air only a couple of years after it came out with only very minor cuts. Mel Gibson's The Passion of Christ was shown and that's incredibly violent. They just start at 9pm or 9.30 so that it's a more 'adult' time. It's a pretty good system really even though we moan about it. They always change the showing time half way through a series just when you've learnt when it's on or pull a series half way through or.... like Roswell, advertise the thing to death when it starts, show it for one week and then relegate it to the 1am slot. But that's what you have video for ![]() I forgot to say last time, I love that Ironing Board quote ![]() __________________ | |||

| Sneaks back into JOFland...hugs everyone and apologizes for horrible lack of communication on my part. I've been so remiss and then I felt bad about my remissness and then I got even further remiss. It's a never ending cycle of remissness on my part. Am I forgiven?I'm really looking forward to my lunch with Podmom and LTL and I thought there was no better time than now to make my apologies and get back in touch. So glad to see everyone! Wen - thanks for missing me. I can see Mother's being as difficult as ever. Some things don't change much, eh? Devon and Majandra are split already? Sheesh, disposable marriages are rampant in Hollywood. Why get married at all if a couple of years later you're just going to throw it away? I wonder what happened? __________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||

| Remissness is always forgiven Scottie and everyone is welcome to come back and post any time! We miss our friends. Wen I forgot to say that's hysterical about Evan's mother thinking he'll be a crazy hotrodder when he's a sensible and sedate driving boy. You would think she was trying to will recklessness into his head or something! My son make it back from his crazy shift okay - but he didn't go to sleep until regular bedtime! He was practically holding his eyes open with his hands last night, when we were watching 'House.' I guess he didn't want to throw off his sleep schedule or something. Big bonus for me, because he walked the dog and I didn't have to, until after supper. And today Mr ML is home early for the dentist, so he'll walk the dog too.The weather was so crazy - we have snow on the ground again, but not much and yesterday it was starting to freeze up and I thought it would be horribly icy - but then it warmed up a bit! And then it got colder again.. sigh. Today is supposed to get up to 40s so I hope it will all melt again. It was cold this morning and I was bundled up (as usual) and some guy in the elevator looked at me and said "Is it THAT cold out?!" and I said "I was to me." Cheesh, strangers will criticize what you are wearing first thing in the morning! We got a bunch of free channels over the air too, mezz - funny, the over the air show arrives about 3-4 seconds ahead of the same show over cable, so if you happen to turn to the same channel on the two different TVs, it's like a bizarre echo! LOL! But now the government decided to stop airing analog and everything has to be digital, which pretty much means you need cable, or a super antenna. I got the converter box they want everybody to get (and sent around voucher cards to help you buy), to make the 'old' TVs still work with the rabbit-ear antennas. Hooked it up and I got NO TV reception on that TV! And then the government decided to push the deadline back from February til June, because everybody is stupid and was panicking about the whole changing the TV thing. I have no idea why they are doing that, except to make you all pay for what you formerly received for free. And to trick people into signing up for cable and buying new TV sets, etc. ![]() We have cable on one TV but we didn't put it on both of them for some reason. But we have the DVD player hooked to the 'bad' TV, so movie watching generally happens on that one. Mr ML is suddenly obsessed with Battlestar Galactica and has been watching DVDs of that nonstop. ![]() Thanks for the husband compliments! Yes, he's slim and fit and smart and handsome But grey now. And his teeth have been giving him awful trouble lately (dentist again today -sigh). And his dad was just exactly as skinny - and died of a heart attack (as did some uncles on his mother's side), so - who knows about the good genes? Plus his dad smoked, and Mr ML doesn't so hopefully that will make the difference (worry worry). But overall, yeh - I lucked out! MLette and her boyfriend look like Mutt and Jeff - she is tall and thin, and he is short and stout. I don't think either one of them is sensitive about it though!I guess there are a few different 'looks' in his family but they all have a 'family look', if that makes sense - LOL no Irishmen and Indians in that group, as they are all from the same area - Irish, English, Scottish (or not like my Mom's cousin who had 2 red haired porcelain skinned girls and a son with an olive complexion who took after her dad's Sephardic Jewish side of the family and looked totally different). But there is some chubbiness in a few people on his mother's side, so a couple of his sisters are, um, rounder. His one brother (the one who looked like Tom Selleck when he was younger) looks just like his Uncle Richard, well, a lot like him, and tall like him too. Sorry - TMI! I just find genetics/family resemblances so interesting! ![]() That's awful that they don't bother showing the whole series in Australia, after advertising it like crazy, or moving it some time nobody can see it! Although US TV has started cancelling shows after 3 or 4 episodes, if they aren't a smash hit the first few times, they don't wait around. I felt so bad, after talking up 'Castle' but it's on the same time as Heroes, and Kyle XY, and there wasn't even a way I could tape it. MLette watches Kyle with me and tapes Heroes for later Next week is Kyle's last episode too , so then I can watch 'Castle' (if they haven't taken it off the air already by then! LOL!) Too bad it's not on at 8, because I would gladly watch something instead of 'House'. I decided last night that I have just had enough of 'House' - he is just a sick nasty b**tard and I don't want to see what he does anymore. Although the sick guy who blurted out whatever he really felt about everything was pretty interesting! ![]() Liz has a maid! That's very smart of her! I'd get one, but my house is so messy I'd be too embarrassed for a maid to come in and see it! I've heard of all those people who madly clean their house before the maid comes, so they won't look bad.Very clever to put the groceries in a rolling suitcase, Poddy! LOL! We should do that every week! We have those cloth shopping bags (and the store gives us 5 cents off for each one!), so at least we don't have the ripping bag/spilling grocery trouble, but we live on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so we have to lug those groceries up the stairs and through the house to the kitchen. But luckily we usually have a big kid or two around to help ferry them from the top of the steps to the kitchen (heaven forbid they should get their shoes on and actually come outside and get them! ) Next house, I'd like a garage with a door that leads to the kitchen, for bringing in groceries! Dream on, eh!Very cool you're having lunch with LTL and Scottie! You will all have a great time! ![]() Oh gosh, I actually was sitting there watching TV last night - thinking it was Friday night already! Then I realized it was Monday and the week had just started I must be getting spring fever because I am having quite a job dragging myself out of the house and off to work every morning. sigh! Speaking of work, I'd better get back to it...P.S. I guess Mr Obama really stepped in it with the British PM! He gave him a bunch of US movie DVDs as a gift (probably from the sale bin at Walmart?) - and didn't even know the UK has a different region for their videos than we do! D'oh. Where are their protocol people to help them with stuff like this? My Obama-hating friend was gloating (yes, there are a few holdouts who don't like the guy).P.P.S. Two big tractor trailers were out behind the Somerville Theater today, and they blocked off the street and they were setting up for some band. Well, it turns out that the band is U-2 and they are here to do some special concert (2 blocks from my house)!! Not that I am a fan of U-2 or could name one song of theirs but still, I know they are a hugely popular group. News helicopters were flying over our neighborhood tonight! The concert is tomorrow. They closed off one of the access roads to get to our place so it's going to be an annoying mess until tomorrow night. Mr ML was thinking somebody should stay home and rent out space to park in our driveway. ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 03-10-2009 at 04:48 PM. | |||

| Mezzi, I didn't realize you got so many free channels, and free digital ones too! Wow! That's Great! Like MyrnaLynne said, here in the US, they are making it harder and harder to get Free Air Channels, which is terrible if you ask me. ![]() My situation is different tho' because of the mountains that block the TV signal has forced us to get Cable early on so like I said before, I'm just used to paying for TV, but it was very annoying at 1st, believe me! I wasn't happy in the least! I still love to look at our mountains tho', green in the winter and golden in the summer, but I'm still not too happy with them that they block our TV signals. LOL! Scottie!!! It's sooo good to see you posting! And what's to forgive... We are sooo thrilled to have you posting Anytime!!! You have been sorely missed! ![]() Did you get a chance to visit the Thread of Jason's New Movie "Remnants"? Finally! A New Project! I'm pretty excited that he's Finally Doing Something!!! ![]() I hope things have been going well for you, and hope your family are all well too! ![]() I hope you enjoyed your lunch with Poddy & LTL today! ![]() MyrnaLynne, I'm surprised that 'Castle' came on at 9pm back East because it came on at 10pm here on the West Coast! So it worked out perfectly... I watched HOUSE at 8pm, HEROES at 9pm, and then 'Castle and 10pm...and it all worked out! I liked Castle... some parts were really corny, but all in all it was good. And there's nothing else on at 10pm, so I'll probably end up watching every week. And I thought HOUSE was pretty interesting too, because here they had this patient that did blurt out everything he thought, and he had something wrong with him that had to be fixed, when House does it every day and it's Normal for him! LOL! And I still think that was nice of Obama giving the Brittish PM the DVD's... Well, Mr. Prime Minister SHOULD have a multi-region DVD Player! We do live in MODERN TIMES now! ![]() Don't feel badly about your friend who doesn't like Obama... my own Stupid Bro' doesn't like him either! Idiot! I would say more, but I don't want to start a Political War. ![]() Wow!... U2 at your Theater! Didn't Brendan Fehr star in one of their Video's, or was that for another Band? I thought it was for U2 tho', but I could be mistaken. ![]() Hope you'll be able to get home tomorrow with all the traffic and road tie-ups and closures! ![]() Poddy, Scottie, & LTL! I'm sooo happy that you had a really nice time at lunch! Somehow I knew that you would since you all are such lovely ladies! ![]() LTL, Good Luck with your Presentation tomorrow! ![]() Biggest Hugs to All, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | Glad Poddy and Scottie had such a nice get-together, along with LTL - Yep, Jason is lucky to have such amazing women as his fans! And glad the soup is helping the poor nauseated little mother-to-be. "This too shall pass!" - very true with pregnancy woes! Well, I take the subway and they aren't blocking off pedestrians from going around the theater (subway station is next to the theater), so it shouldn't be a problem - although Mr ML usually parks near the subway and gives me a ride home (the block and a half - LOL!), and he won't be able to do that tonight - NOT because I'm so old and feeble and can't walk that far (although some days, that's true) but because if he beats me home, he'd have to walk the dog instead of me! Isn't that just the laziest thing? Well, that's him. Although I can't complain, as I got out of dogwalking after work both Monday and Tuesday because various people were home early for different things. Love the dog, but walking him is a lot of work (especially if your legs aren't so good). sigh.Yep, it's really U2! It was on the front page of the paper today and photos of the outside of the theater. I know where we live is the hippest town in the world, LOL, but still pretty amazing such a world-famous huge band decided to do a little concert here (theater has ~900 seats). It was a beautiful old vaudeville theater. We did Bye Bye Birdie there! They kept the main stage (show movies) and build several other little theaters in the same building, so it's mainly a movie theater, but they still have live shows and lots of bands on the stage. So bands, band buses, equipment etc parking behind the theater isn't that unusual, but this band has SO MUCH STUFF! Two giant 18-wheelers and some other trucks as well. Totally blocked off the road back there. Oh well, it's just tonight and then they'll be gone. I can't say that I know a single U2 song though, as famous as they are. ![]() Rainy and gloomy today - maybe it will make them feel at home (like Ireland). Although I'll take rain over snow any day! ![]() Oh, gosh, was 'Castle' on at 10 and I didn't know and I missed it? What did you think of it, Wen? Nathan Fillion is such a cutie. I was so annoyed, we all went in to sit down and watch the 'Mentalist' last night, and my cousin called to chat about Passover, and she talked for half an hour and I missed half the show. Oh well, it's not like it's my favorite show, and not like I talk to this cousin more than once a year. Her dad always leads the Passover seder but she's not sure he'll be up to driving up this year (he had surgery recently) and she's too busy to go pick him up. So we might go get him! Love that uncle (my dad's brother) and would love to see him - but it depends if he feels up to it or not. Mr ML said he'd take a day off and drive to Connecticut to fetch the Uncle. Sounds like a fun trip! ![]() LTL knock em dead with that presentation! (Well... not literally) ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 03-11-2009 at 06:47 AM. | |||
