| Superman shows always go down hill. I always think it's because Superman doesn't have a dark side. So he never can be tempted to make a selfish or wrong decision so the only thing that the writers can do is bring in the Kryptonite. As soon as the Kryptonite enters the story it seems to go down hill. I remember in the Lois and Clark version years ago they even brought in the red kryptonite versus the green just so there was something new. Ah well. Sorry you've been so sick ML. At least it's starting to get better. You are good for going in to work feeling so crappy. __________________ | |||

| Hi Everyone! ![]() Poor MyrnaLynne, still battling that terrible cold. Still sending [[[Healing Vibes]]] your way Sweetie. ![]() And thanks for the healing hand back! ![]() I couldn't take it, and snuck out this morning since it was so sunny & pretty out, before I was left carless, (before Lainie went to school), and picked up a couple of things at our little drug store by my house. No need to run to the market for the little odd and ends that I needed and besides, I love going to our little drug store... they usually have a little bit of everything anyway. ![]() I was even sooo bad that I picked myself up a (little) Russell Stover chocolate bunny. I don't care either, and I ate it! Hahahahahaha! (evil-grin!) It's too much to bear to be good All the time! So I was Really bad today, and it Felt GREAT!!! LOL! Ya, back to being boring good again. Ho-hum. LOL! Brought MOTHER to her Dr appt this aft, and brought her home with me and she had supper with us, and now she's watching Larry King with Tori Spelling, and that's when I ditched her and came to the computer. I meant to say... as I was watching New Amsterdam the other night (with closed captioning on [for MOTHER]), script was written that was NOT said! That surprised me! Like when they were interviewing "the father" of the recovered memory daughter who said she in her recovered memory remembered that he molested her... and the father was Really mad telling them about it. Well in the closed captioning it said that he said that he was glad that the therapist was dead! But on the actual TV, he NEVER said it! Strange, huh?! Half the time I don't pay attention to the closed captioning... we just have it on the TV because MOTHER is so hard of hearing and this way we don't have to repeat ourselves 17thousand times, so it's just for her benefit, but I think I'm going to start taking more notice of it from now on. Scottie, Good for you on your up coming vacation! I'm sure you are counting the days! ![]() Mezzi, Poddy, Vero, and All the JOF's and JIT's! ![]() Hugs, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | LOL, Mezz Smallville has brought out the green, red, and BLUE Kyrptonite, they are so at a loss of what to do with this show. Actually the first time Clark ran into the red Kyptonite and went all 'born to be wild' was probably one of their best episodes. They also eliminated the parents, and I really liked Jonathan Schneider as the dad but they killed him off and sent Ma Kent off to Congress or whereever. Like Roswell: "get rid of the parents" sigh. But the 'kids' on the show are growing up, post high school/post college at this point. I used to like 'Lois & Clark' too but they made a big mistake marrying them off. What can I say, I just have always liked Superman and stories about him. Dean Cain used to be soo sexy and now he's starting to remind me of Wayne Newton. That's so interesting Wen that the line in 'New Amsterdam' was in the closed caption but not in the show - I wonder if the captioners get the script ahead of time and maybe that line didn't make the final cut - or was the caption writing person just having a little 'dramatic license.' Sometimes when I see captions, they simplify or change what is actually being said a bit - but they don't usually add stuff that's not there! I totally understand the need to have the occasional chocolate bunny! Can't be easter/springtime without it! ![]() Oops, got to get running to that family party for the 90 year old relative! ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| I was curious about that too... If they got the script ahead of time, and then it didn't make the final cut so it wasn't said in the show! Makes for some interesting insights tho'! We get to see what went on with the "CUT SCENES". Yes, that Chocolate Bunny never had a chance! LOL! I just HAD to have it! LOL! And it was sooo yummy too! Mmmm! I could go for another too right now! Now, now, I can't be doing that! I have to be good, being diabetic and all. Hmph! Life's not fair! ![]() How was the Party for your 90 yr. old relative across the street from you? Really nice I hope! I hope she had a really nice time too! G-D Bless her; 90 and still going strong! ![]() I've been with MOTHER all weekend, or she's been with me rather, and Lainie just took her home now. It's like a weights that's been lifted off my shoulders now that she's gone home. Isn't that awful to say, but it's so true! Finally, ME time! (And I even feel guilty for saying that out loud!) Boy! Has this woman done a job on me or what?! If I do one thing that is selfish, I feel like I'm going straight to Hell or something... Do not pass Go, Do not collect $200, Go straight to Hell! Geeeez!!! | Poddy and Wen - miss you when your Mom duties kept you away! Hope you can come back and 'play' soon! The party for the 90-year-old cousin (we feel like she's more of an aunt but she's actually Mr ML's cousin of some sort!) went really well. I baked my killer brownies (so good and so rich, Mr ML has ordered me never to bake them! LOL! If you eat them, you're jittery and awake all night!) and he baked his cranberry orange bread. It was sort of a pot luck thing and it's a big extended family so there was lots of everything, appetizers, desserts, cold cuts and sald sort of stuff. It was at a Knights of Columbus hall several cities away, and Mr ML took the back road there and we had a very scenic drive through various little towns - very nice day, and all 4 of us went. Mr ML Jr was thinking about taking a trip that weekend but ended up not going, so I was glad he came too - he shirks off as many family parties and socializing as possible! But I think he had a good time - ate so many desserts and treats he made himself ill! Too funny, his dad told him not to over do it and I said, 'Puhleez, he's a 27 year old man, he knows what to eat' - and didn't he make himself sick eating too much junk! Boys will be boys! ![]() I was still so sick with this stupid cold that I wasn't even hungry (or feel like socializing much and spreading my germs). Just had some cut up fruit and lots of cups of tea - and of course couldn't stop eating my killer brownies! Mr ML's various sisters and brothers and nieces and their families were there. Lots of little kids running around the place. Very festive, very happy. At the end of the party, they took an enormous group photo of everybody, too. That was pretty cool - I never thought they'd fit everyone in the picture. It was a very nice party and very artistically done - that side of the family is so creative. Had little straw hats and easter eggs and tiny framed photos from Margaret's life on the table (to take home as favors) and a big box of copies of old family photos for people to look through and take also. Margaret is so beautiful and she doesn't even seem like she could be 90 ("90 is the new 80" LOL!) Had an incredible cake for her that was heaped with tulips and other flowers that were all made out of edible chocolate! It was like one of those 'Ace of Cakes' extravaganzas. Really nice. I couldn't believe I forgot to bring her a card, but I did - but she lives across the street, so MLette and I just slipped over and put a card in her door after the party. ![]() Gah, but I am soo out of it, with this cold and every time I do any sort of fannish travel, I am like useless for a week afterwards and this is no exception and my work is so so piled up and behind.. plus in sort of a very weird mood too, which I guess happens after these trips too, post-convention let down and depression or whatever. sigh. ![]() And now I see Jason's movie is going to be in NYC April 7 but I've pretty much done my travelling for a long time already. sigh. Mr ML and I are liking that show 'Dexter' they put on CBS from Showtime (cleaning up the gore and swears and nudity etc somewhat to show it over there). It's very weird and icky and disturbing (he's a serial killer - a 'nice' serial killer?) but oddly fascinating. Last 'Kyle XY' of the season tonight (the Prom!) :> and New Amsterdam - they couldn't have picked a better time to start that new show, after the strike and when nothing is on. Everybody seems to like it - I hope they decide to keep it going but - who knows. I refuse to get my heart invested into another single show just to have the networks and PTB torture me, like they're doing with Moonlight and Blood Ties at the moment! (fans are desperately trying to beg somebody to make another season or more of Blood Ties, but I'm afraid that door is starting to swing closed. SIGH) And CBS won't commit to Moonlight for another season yet, being coy. Heard on Moonlight they are bringing in some other love interest hot looking guy as a new love interest for Beth, so she'll have somebody else to be torn between instead of Mick, since they killed off her last boyfriend Josh (Jordan Belfi). Nothing lke a good love triangle with a vampire, eh! ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 03-17-2008 at 08:15 AM. | |||

| Aargh! Personally, I hate love triangles! But they always do that on television, don't they!? I recently read somewhere that they're going to get Meredith and Derek (Grey's) together soon and keep them together. I'm not at all invested in that couple, I think Derek could do better than Mer (MHO only!) but Beth in love with someone besides Mick! That makes me sad! But I still hope they bring it back and stop jerking us around.ML - so glad you loved Time Traveler's Wife! I began to worry when you said you hoped it didn't end sadly. Wasn't the ending gorgeous? I think I read that part about a hundred times, it was just stunning. And I agree that the author must be brilliant to conceive of such a premise and make it so believable and real. Kudos to her! I think Henry is one of my all-time favorite male lit characters, I just loved him (and Claire too). Glad you had such a great time at the birthday party. I hope I'm still around and still have a mind left when I turn 90. 90 is the new 80! LOL! Happy St. Patrick's day to all! <<pinches anyone not wearing green today>> Podmom - good to see you back around, missed you! What's been going on? Wen - I chuckled at your eating the chocolate bunny. Good for you for being so bad! I've eaten a few jelly beans myself in the past couple of weeks, those Starburst jelly beans are my favorite, I just love 'em! Jason's movie's going to be in NYC? Too bad I'll be in Punta Cana, but I hope some peeps get to go! I can already name you about ten people who I could swear would be there! Maybe Jason will be there and we can see that he's still alive and well! There's a terribly creepy ad for a show at the top of the screen of a man eating a tarantula! Anyone know who we complain to to get that thing taken down? LOL! I hate spiders and it gives me the heebie jeebies! Mezz - I just read in the newspaper today that at our national zoo here in DC there was a baby Kiwi bird hatched recently. Like only the third one hatched in captivity in the US. There's a picture of "it" and all. They don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet. all!__________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||

| BehrBewitched! Welcome to the JOFs! And don't worry for one second if you'll fit in among the young'uns of Jason's fanbase because you will! I have met tons of Jason's fans over the years and can say without a measure of doubt that his fans mesh completely across age lines. One of my favorite Roswellians was all of about 21 when I met her and another was well into her sixties. I'm a heckuvalot closer to 60 than I am to 21 (gah!) but if you love Jason you'll fit in. It's an amazing group of fans, honestly. I hope you do go and meet some people and don't worry about your age, just have fun. And trust me, there will be older fans there, I don't think you can keep us more mature fans away. Do you live on the east coast? to all! Hope everyone's doing well today.__________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||

| Welcome BehrBewitched! I can't believe I'm not jumping at the chance to go to NYC, because 'Frost' sounds like such a wonderful movie, the kind we've been hoping Jason would make for so long (romantic comedy/drama) and I've soo been looking forward to seeing it - but I just took a trip last week, and it's too soon to think about going anywhere again - still haven't recovered from this one! (The way work has piled up, I may never recover! ) Too bad, because NY isn't a bad trip from Boston and I've done several JB trips to NY before. But, enough about me! LOL - Anyway, what Scottie said! Don't worry, the JB Fans are a very egalitarian and cordial group and you will fit right in with everyone, no matter what the range of ages. If you love Jason, age doesn't matter! ![]() Just got a thing about a professional conference in Vancouver today and started dreaming about that - a place I've always wanted to visit, and a little professional development of my career certainly couldn't hurt! But - yeh, no more trips for awhile!!!![]() I'm excited there's going to be another Indiana Jones movie, although I can't imagine how, Harrison Ford has been looking so old (old old old) lately. The wonders of movie magic. I like Shia LaBouf, too. I feel so bad for Tom Selleck - they wanted him for Indiana Jones, but his Magnum bosses wouldn't give him the time off to make the film! Although as Mr ML said, maybe with Selleck it wouldn't have been as good a movie but I don't think it would have mattered - he just would have had the big career instead of Harrison Ford. Not that Tom Selleck's done too badly for himself. That's show biz! ![]() I'm not crazy about love triangles either, now that you mention it Scottie it just 'works' on that one show, the way the story was written, the two guys wanting her and not wanting her to be with the other guy, but having to work together for various reasons. And on "Moonlight" - as with Max and Liz (darn them) - they believed "happy couples make bad television" and as long as the lovers are apart, and angsty, and struggling and longing for one another, and having various roadblocks in their path, and both kept absolutely miserable - they think the show will keep going and be good. But the minute Mick and Beth fall into one another's arms - show over! ![]() I was sort of disappointed with 'Kyle XY' prom season finale - certain not Max's prom! - but I enjoy that show, klunky as it sometimes is. Made me laugh out loud, the scene where the dad is yelling at all the kids not to even think about having s*x at the prom - or EVER! LOL! The parents are such real people and such good parents on this show, and the kids are well, kids! Good kids, struggling with the whole high school thing. Except a couple of them have powers... but that's another story. We are definitely finding "New Amsterdam" to be pretty enjoyable and interesting too. It's different, it's well done - the crime/mysteries aren't all that mysterious, but together with the whole immortal thing and flashback historical stuff - we like it! Danish guy isn't hot, exactly, but he's a good actor and likeable. It's better than trying to watch Penn Jillette try to dance! (We are so not watching that show this time around)![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| ML - you're not watching DWTS??? I can't believe that! How come? Do you not like the stars? I thought you and MLette loved the dancing. ![]() I've been to Vancouver, it's beautiful there. I wish they had filmfests there so we could go some place other than NY. Don't get me wrong, I'd just like to see a new city. I love NY, it's exciting and so cool, but I've been there a few times now. I watched NA last night too, liked it very much. I like the girl interest, the doctor, she's pretty in an interesting way and seems to be sort of a good match for Amsterdam. I'm enjoying the flashbacks also. Yeah, Max's prom was a complete disaster, eh? Good gosh, could it have gotten any worse? It started out well, but came crashing down. I remember being so depressed after that ep aired, I wanted to cry! Poor ML, busy as a bee and I'm bored crazy today at work. Everyone's gone this week for either vacation or a mutual funds conference in Cali, and I'm stuck here with basically not a whole helluva lot to do. My mornings go by easily enough, but the afternoons are torture. Good grief, I need some work to do! Feast or famine, I guess. Nice new "old" pics of Jason floating around the threads, very nice! ![]() __________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||

| Thanks everybody for the welcome and for reassuring me about the age thing. I'm also closer to 60 than to 21--gah!!! ![]() I've got my ticket to the movie and a hotel room so I'm all set. I'm so excited -- my first film festival, my first Jason opening, and my first visit to NYC! Scottie - I've been lurking for a while so I know you're from Maryland, NE of the Beltway I think. I'm NW of the Beltway, in Rockville. I wanted to ask you when you went to see 27 Dresses, you said you were going with your DC group (or something to that effect). Is that a Jason group in DC? That would be awesome. | |||

| Scottie, after all my ranting about not watching 'Dancing with the Stars' (none of the people interested us, and a couple of the guys we actively dislike), MLette and I ended up tuning in last night after all (sooo nothing on) and it was the ladies, whom we have nothing against. And I was enjoying it and tapping my feet (well, some of the songs they danced to, I'd never heard before and were weird). You are right, I love love love the singing and the dancing. I just didn't want to get sucked into that show again (I've watched maybe 3 of the 6 installments). We decided maybe after they've eliminated the guys we can't stand (and that poor flat footed robotic Monica Seles - poor Jonathan, I could see him thinking "Aw cr*p, I'm so going to be eliminatd first this season"), we might tune in and watch it again. I do love the music and the dancing and the little 'behind the scenes' personal stuff about their struggles. Not surprised Marlee Maitlin did well, she's overcome lots of obstacles. Was surprised Priscilla Presley is 63 and looked like a wax dummy, she's so botoxed and face-lifted, but also did a very good job - you can see that she's pretty fierce. To live with Elvis and his legacy, I suppose one has to be! I like the Danish guy she's dancing with, Louis - reminds me a teensy bit of New Amsterdam guy (they must both have 'Danish faces' .:> That 'Hairspray' gal is just a hyperactive nut! I miss Maksim and his big obnoxious dancing ego, and it looks like Alec Maso isn't dancing this season either, so my two favorite dancing guys aren't there either. But they are having The Jonas Bros on! I've been reading and hearing a whole lot about those boys, and I'm curious to see them/hear their music. I have to admit DWTS is a pretty cool show. Poor you, twiddling your thumbs. It seems to be that way with work, either feast or famine. Whining about time on my hands, or whining that I'm never going to get this stuff done in this lifetime! ![]() Yes, I was very pleasantly surprised by a few of the new (old but new to me) Jason pix floating around the board. If we can't have new pictures of him, 'fresh' pictures are the next best thing. I forget how gorgeous he is, which is weird, looking at pix of him on my computer/desk every day, but I guess like the wallpaper, after awhile you see it but don't notice. ![]() I especially like this one - that's our daredevil, agile, show off, funny Jason in a nutshell ![]() BehrBewitched have a great time! I'm so excited for you and wish I was going too. 'Frost' is going to be so awesome. ![]() Poor, poor Podmom stuck with MOther in the OC and without a computer connection. We'll miss you, sweetie! Hang in there and enjoy the ocean air.Oh - MY ORCHID BLOSSOMED!!! I had MLette snap a photo of it - it is so, so, so spectacular and gorgeous - it's like a Las Vegas showgirl is sitting in our dining room, in her fancy costume - startling! ![]() But it's snowing here this morning! Didn't see that coming! Probably snowed because I just thought maybe we could put the shovels down the cellar and I could bring home my "shoes I put on when I wear boots to work" shoes. ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 03-19-2008 at 05:46 AM. | |||

| ML - I always chuckle at your descriptions of things, the orchid as a Las Vegas showgirl made me smile! How true though, they're quite beautiful all decked out and showing off. We have a wonderful garden center near me and on Sunday I just had to go to it to just look around and get a garden "fix" (I love to garden!). So I was walking around in the greenhouses and they have a section in the back where they put their private collection of orchids and I always go take a peek at them. They were glorious! I'm so happy that your's bloomed, congratulations! But how sad is it that it snowed!? I love snow, but mostly I love it in December and January, definitely not at Easter or Passover! I have pics from April 2006 where it snowed on my pansies and cherry blossoms, so it happens here too. Well, my faith is restored now that you're enjoying DWTS! I was thinking that I might not be able to live vicariously through you and your love of the dancing. I just don't get to watch the show, so I have to read all about it here. Glad you're watching it again. Behrbewitched - wow, I thought you might live on the east coast, but didn't know you were THAT close to me! I live in Laurel, close to where all those different counties congregate (PG, Montgomery, Howard and Anne Arundel!). We have a fairly active group on the Roswell board called the "Caps" (get it - like in Capitals?). Most of the peeps are Virginians, but LTL and I live in Maryland (she in Silver Spring) and we're almost the same age! We have a lot of fun together and get to see each other every few months or so (moreso when it's warm!). We didn't actually get together to see 27 Dresses, it just didn't work out at the last minute, I had to go see it with my girlfriends. But we're always planning something! We even have out of town members of the group too, all are welcome, you should check it out. Just go to the Roswell board (find it in the drop down at the bottom right of the screen). If we're not on the first page, we're on the second usually. The group is a Roswell group, but we mostly love Jason (and we've converted a Fehrian or two!). Fehrians are those who like Brendan Fehr in case you don't know what I'm talking about. How did you find Roswell, were you a new fan? Podmom - I was wondering where you'd gotten to! Glad you found time to check in, I've been missing you! Wen - hope you're doing well, where you been? VB - cleaning house? Getting ready for a holiday? How's mom doing? Gotta scoot, I honestly have some work to do today! ![]() __________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||
