everyone!

Well - I did the Bikram yoga session on Saturday! It was really great too. The instructor was a fabulously cool yogi gal who was so nice to me and the one other "newbie" in the group of THIRTY sweating bodies! And let me tell you, people practically wear NOTHING to the class! Little itty bitty tops and bottoms! Yikes! There was this one gorgeous, totally hot big beautiful African-American man who had a fabulous (did I repeat myself!?) body and he walked past me with no shirt on and I swear all he was wearing a pair of those Spanx bottoms! Wow, not for the faint of heart! The room was very hot, but dry, and I sweated three pounds of fluids and I know this b/c I weighed myself before I left and when I got home. It was incredible. The whole room was mirrored and you're supposed to look at yourself as you do the yoga poses and I noticed that I was sweating horribly and had these two little circles (ahem) right in the middle of my bra top! It was so embarrassing! Very sweaty! But I'll definitely go back, maybe this weekend even!

ML - I'm glad you got The Time Traveller's Wife, I hope you enjoy it. Don't give up at the beginning, it is confusing for a while, but once you get the hang of the time jumping, it WILL make sense. It's a beautiful love story, I just loved it.

I'm so excited for you to go on your trip!

Wen - good for you, giving yourself a much needed break from Mother! I'm glad you're standing up for yourself and not taking her shopping for hours at a time. I know you need the break and time to get yourself well from the swelling.

Podmom - loved the JUMP doggies, they're so cute!

Mezz - Perky Taylor is a cute stripper name!

I went to a birthday party on Saturday night, the theme was The Eighties! I can't say I miss the eighties fashion at all, everyone dressed up and looked so odd! What were we thinking? My hubby and I went "preppie" wore golf shirts with the collars up, khaki pants and sweaters tied around our necks. That's about as dressed up as I could get Mr. Scottie, he's not one for costume parties. But it was fun!

LOL, the ads on the page are now about excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and men's underwear!

I'm so glad you not only survived the hot yoga, but enjoyed it a lot, enough to want to do it again! Sounds like the view wasn't bad there, either I hate looking at myself in a million mirrors (one mirror is bad enough!)

I think I'll understand the Time Traveller book - I was watching "Journeyman" and that sort of thing happened to him (except his clothes went with him).

Oh gosh, 80s clothes were pretty bad, weren't they. I remember I lost weight and managed to fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes from the late 70s-early 1980s, and then I realized they were synthetic, and horrible colors and patterns and dated styles and I had no idea why I'd held onto them all that time - and gave them all away! Took me awhile to part with my 80s dresses with the huge shoulder pads, too. Not that you will ever find me in a dress these days!

I have been messing up royally at work today too! It is sooo Monday!

Now they've added "theme party ideas" to the ads! It's amazing how they know what we're discussing!

I have narrow shoulders, so I loved the shoulder pad craze of the '80's! Now I think they're ridiculous, but I remember in particular this one orchid colored suit that I had (EEK!) that had immense shoulder pads in it. I wore it to church one Easter and I thought it was so gorgeous and so Easter-y! I completely missed the acid-rocker look though, that was definitely a horror!

It's so warm here today! There's a tiny bit of blush to the foliage and I'd say that within a week we'll have some tiny leaves poking out. That is if it all of a sudden doesn't turn 30 degrees and snow! That could certainly happen, winter isn't done with us yet. I have pictures from last year where we had snow on top of the pansies and cherry blossoms.

Anyone watch Sarah Connor Chronicles season finale last night? Can you explain what happened to Cameron?

ML - I hope today's going better for you than yesterday did.

Found this on YouTube, if you like Lost, and Sawyer, it's pretty funny:

YouTube - Sawyer's Nicknames

That Sawyer thing is hilarious - I guess he is just really bad at remembering anybody's name!

Of course then I drifted off to watch interviews with Josh Holloway (he's gorgeous but Jimmy Kimmel is so annoying - how did that guy ever get his own show?), and Matthew Fox and Ellen doing a hilarious 'Lost' skit on her show - he is such a giggler (and she kept saying "Take off your shirt!"). It's too bad I gave up on that show, because I really like some of the people on it and the characters they play. Just got way too weird for me - I think I left when the others captured and started torturing people. sigh.

Funny I came by to post a Youtube thing sombody sent me of this group of little girl singers doing the national anthem (the Cactus Cuties) - they are like 8-13 years old and pretty amazing

YouTube - The Cactus Cuties sing The National Anthem

Well I have the opposite problem - I have big shoulders and putting shoulder pads on top of them makes me look like a linebacker! I'm sure you looked really good at the time, in your Easter suit.

Sorry about the wrong info that New Amsterdam was on yesterday - it starts tonight. Bad enough Kyle XY and the thing about the Queen and a show about Yiddish on PBS were all on at the same time (watched Kyle, we taped the Queen, and PBS re-airs things a million times anyway). SCC is over already? That was quick! We decided we couldn't watch it because the title is such a tongue-twister, we can never say it right!

It's really warm here today too! Windy, warm, melty, muddy - and I saw the tips of my spring bulbs poking out of the ground near the driveway today! Woohoo - Springtime is on it's way! Oh, and my orchid plant in the house, which hasn't had a flower in years and years (and years and years) has a big flower bud/flower stalk on it - another month or so and there might be an orchid on there! (Or else it might decide to wither and die and forget the whole thing. Orchids are sooo moody!)

He all!

Just stopping by to let everyone klnow I'm still alive.

It's taking way to much time to read everything you guys wrote so I'm just gonna leave this note for now and see when I'll actually finish reading everything.....

Went out with a college friend Saturday night and I had a wonderful time. It's been a while since we've met so I took her to this Kusher (hey, it's me we're talking about) and we had a wonderful time.

Then Sunday was a normal Sunday with the gym and the French class. OH BTW I moved into the 2nd level of the French class which is totally cool.

Then Monday I spent the day with my mopm at the hospital. We had to go so she'll be checked but all of the docs involved with the surgery (which is on the 11th). It was a long exhasting day but we made it.

Then yesterday I worked on my brothers room. We (or better yet I) have started cleaning for Passover knowing that my mom won't be able to clean and later on we'll be very busy with her. So I cleaned my brother's room yesterday. It wasn't that hard but it sure took a lot of time.

And here we are today.... my mom's birthday in on Saturday (yea I know some time to have a birthday with her surgery coming up) so I'm making her a cake. I still have to go and buy all of the stuff needed. I'm making the cake today because I want it to be a suprise and any other day just won't work out. I'm gonna take it to my grandma's place and Friday night Mika is gonna go and get it.

So that was my week..... sorry for not doing some SO's right now.... I promise to make one soon.... maybe I'll finish reading everything today.... just maybe.....

Have to go shopping!

You have been very busy VB! You are such a good daughter (and sister to clean your brother's room). It is a lot of work to get ready for Passover properly, you are smart to start early! And how nice to make your mother a surprise birthday cake! My father's birthday is on Thursday! Their birthdays are close, our parents. And my niece was born the same day as my dad - he turns 85 and she turns 18! Two big birthdays! My uncle is taking him out to dinner tomorrow for his birthday. It's too bad he lives so far away.

Ooo la la you are in the 2nd level of French already! You are one smart cookie!
French is a very smooth-sounding language, no hard jangly sounds. I thing Portuguese sounds like French too - it's like they say Spanish words but pronounce it like French! LOL!

We watched the premiere of 'New Amsterdam.' This star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau I guess is a big star in Denmark. He has kind of an odd nose, but he seems pretty nice. He's married and has little kids in Denmark, so if the show gets picked up, I guess he'll have to bring them over, or he'll be way too homesick. Too soon to tell about the show, although I don't think he can keep going around saying "I've been married 52 times" or "I remember Prohibition" and stuff like that to his co-workers or they'll throw a net over him and put him in the looney bin! He's not exactly secretive about the whole 'I've lived since the 1600s' thing. LOL, MLette said "You mean he doesn't have any powers or anything - he's just really really old?" Yep, no powers, he's just lived a long time and won't die. I love that his dog is named "36"! Can you imagine how many dogs you would have if you lived forever?

We watched some of the special about the Queen - I was so embarrassed watching the footage of when she visited President Bush and the White House - you just know he was going to say or do something stupid and embarrassing. I mean, they've got the Queen - we've got the Village Idiot. sigh. Everything is so formal and fancy for her, coming here must be liking visiting an uncouth bunch of savages! I laughed so much at the place they were staying in Virginia, the woman said "We put on a new toilet seat for her." Nothing too good for the Queen or her derriere!

I like the Queen - she's been doing this job since she was a young girl of 25, she's 82 now with no retirement option, and she just keeps on keeping on and has served her country for a long time very well. Sort of like Castro, only without the whole evil communist dictator and cigar thing! And a lot more jewelry, costumes, and little doggies.

And you wouldn't believe what just showed up unexpectedly, just when I was thinking I could finally take a trip to someplace warm that had a pool and NOT have my period when I got there. Stupid pesky menopause stuff!

Hey Everyone!

Look what the cat dragged in... Me! LOL! I feel like that anyway! UGH!

Vero, You really are such a good daughter... doing all that stuff for Mom. I hope she appreciates you! I know I do, and you are not even mine!!! LOL!

Wow, cleaning your Bro' room to boot! You are a saint! Lainie would rather have her fingernails pulled out before she'd clean her Bro's room... (It's THAT BAD!)

But yet, when it comes to his computer, everything is PERFECT in there. File folders all neat, everything has a place, nothing out of order... it just PERFECT! Go figure!

And Congrats about moving to level 2 in French! You are one smart Cookie learning all these languages!

Speaking of languages... my No.2 son says Portuguese sounds like Spanish with a lisp! And that's when MOTHER tries to hit him! LOL! And he laughs, but swears it's true!

He says that because a lot of the words end in "ISH".

And Lainie says that SOME Portuguese words sound like Chinese to her! LOL! Like the phrase for "Doesn't like to get his hands dirty", and in a way, it does sound like it's Chinese when spoken in Portuguese! LOL!

And I'm terrible at speaking it and even worse at writing it, but the word for "Portuguese Soup" is kind of like... " Soupish Col Ding" And and that's a perfect example of what No.2 son and Lainie mean. It both sounds lisp-ish and Chinese. LOL!

(Ok, Ok, Portuguese peeps, now don't come here and bombard me with how bad I am at Portuguese, because I already told you how bad I was at it! LOL!)

Actually, remember how everyone was talking about how your parents would speak in a different language so the kids wouldn't know what they were talking about... well that's just what MOTHER and my Grandmother used to do in front of us kids. So my Portuguese is VERY limited.

All I know is basically the cursing words, , the "when I was going to get HIT" words , and just a few odds and ends.

Yet, since they NEVER bothered to teach me proper Portuguese, NOW MOTHER calls me STUPID because I can't speak it like she can.

She says... "You've heard it your whole life! How can you NOT know how to speak it?!!! You are soooo STUPID!" Nice, huh?

Oh to Daddy MyrnaLynne & Vero's Mom!

I missed 'New Amsterdam' last night! I was so tired last night, and while I was waiting for it to come on, I hit the MUTE button during the commercial just before it came on, and I must have fallen asleep, and awakened about 10 mins after the show was over! Grrrrr!

And of course, that was my sleep for the night, (since I'm Ms. 1 to 2 hr. sleep intervals) Grrrr!

So, I went shopping on Ebay and took care of some Christmas Shopping.

I know, I know, What on Earth?! Christmas Shopping?! Well, that's how I do my Christmas shopping... little by little thru'out the year because I can't afford to do it ALL in only ONE month.

Anyway, I found some really cute things reasonably priced, so I bought them.

Shopping makes me happy anyway, until I get the bill! LOL! No, really, since I do it a little at a time, it's not so bad!

Well, I go see my Dr today. And yes, my legs are still weeping. (sigh) I just can't get them to stop! Grrrr!

Hopefully he can do something about it.

I really like going to see my Dr.,,, it's like visiting an old friend. Well, I used to work for him, so it is like visiting a friend. He's so down to Earth, and he keeps me up dated on some of our favorite patients.

Sorry that his nurse ,Rae, left. I'm really going to miss her! She'd been with him for at least, gosh, about 5 years. She moved to Vegas. Why? I haven't a clue, and neither does he? Strange how she just decide to leave like that?

Actually, Rae became his nurse when I left. I didn't want to leave but I'll explain...

I was an on call Medical Assistant, and I was working for my Dr. for like 3 years, and he went on Vacation and while he was on Vacation they assigned me to another Dr.

In the meantime, my Dr. blew his knee out and had to have surgery, so my assignment stayed with this other Dr that I was with. Then I went on vacation and my Reg Dr, came back and they (the hospital) put his nursing assignment up for bid, and I didn't Know!!! Well Rae got the bid!

Anyway, I ended up bidding on another Dr when I got back and she was a saint to work for, and her office was right next door to my original Dr. so I still worked with him every day, just not for him.

Did that make sense?

Scottie, I'm glad you enjoyed your "Hot Yoga", but remember to stay Hydrated, K? I just worry about that.

And thanks for the "Sawyer Nicknames Video"... it cracked me up! I so like Sawyer inspite of himself! LOL!

Oh, and MyrnaLynne, Thanks for bringing that "Cactus Cuties Video" to share with us too! They are soo good for such little girls!

And sorry to hear about you STARTING.

Jason close your eyes...just for the 2 next sentences

Get some Super Absorbent tampons to go swimming, and that should help!

Unless of course you are having a CSI crime scene, then otherwise, don't bother as it won't help. Sorry.

Mezzi, Perky Taylor makes an Excellent Stripper name!

I did email my Bro' back and told him MOTHER was really looking forward to spending some time with he and his family, and still no word from him!

I'm afraid he's going to call and make some lame excuse and not come to MOTHER's birthday party at all with his lack of response. I wouldn't put it past him! Grrrr!

Poddy, Thanks for the Jumping Pooches! They were cute! LOL!

Hope Everyone is having a good day.

Hugs,
Wen

I have big shoulders too...I think we are pretty close to the same size....seperated at birth I saw New Amsterdamn and liked it alot...thought it had a nice balance of scifi/cop/funny going on...I thought he was very likable even with his nose sure did a good ny accent. to Dad...hope he stays well....can have a little time on his own not being not the caretaker. I watched the Queen special..thought it was well done and really interesting...I'm a totally Anglofile I get the pretrip anxiety

The only Portuguese I know is 2 foods: bolosh levados (a very tasty sweet English muffin thing) and bacalau (salted/dried codfish - ew! I looks like a bat wing), It does have a lot of 'ish' sounds! There are a lot of Portuguese folks in this state, plus people from the Azores - MLette's BF is part Portuguese. And that is just mean of Mother to think you are going to magically understand Portuguese without learning it!

Oh New Amsterdam is going to be on again Thursday night, I'm pretty sure, and then again on Monday - Monday night is going to be its regular night I think. I thought it was good. He's obviously a very good actor. He has a little accent but that just makes him interesting. But he's really obvious with the 'I've lived forever' comments! Maybe he has this vow never to tell a lie or something. It would be hard to live forever, with everybody you know or love dying off - sigh - but interesting to watch the world change. To live forever and NOT get senile would be a plus! LOL!

LOL, he's not like the Moonlight guy who is supposed to have grown up in LA but every now and then, an Australian vowel or pronunciation slips out. :> The woman who plays Beth is from the UK, but her American accent is flawless, you'd just never know at all. Oh gosh I miss Moonlight so much! They have a countdown clock at CBS at the show for the site - funny. I found out my niece in LA likes that show too - good taste runs in the family! Her big passion is - Shakespeare! She wants to be an actress.

Yep, Poddy, you and I were separated at birth - you were just the prettier blonder sister! Well, I was blond up until I was 3 or 4. And I suppose if I wanted to - I could be blonde again! LOL! Take me away, Lady Clairol. Like the Blood Ties guy I'm going to see - sometimes he has brown hair, sometimes he's a blond (but he's always drop dead handsome). I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow, so hopefully I'll look less like Javier for my trip! So nobody will mistake me for him at the convention and pester me for autographs!

Guess I should go pack - so I can then re-pack again tomorrow night! LOL! It's not like there's a lot to pack for 2 days (when I go there, I'll already be wearing clothes after all). I was working on my taxes. They must have raised taxes a whole lot because I'm getting back half what I did last year and MLette is paying 2 or 3x what she paid last year (even after she increased her withholding so she wouldn't have to pay). Hmm, seems like we must be paying for a WAR or something!

Hi JOFs!

This morning the ads at the bottom of my screen are for yoga clothes AND 80's fashions!

ML - I'm getting so excited for your trip! If I was going away for two days I'd still pack a whole lot of stuff! I never know what I'll need and coming from where it's cool I just couldn't imagine wearing shorts or capris or short sleeves, I just can't imagine it being warm anywhere!

With that said, (or rather typed!), I saw forsythia bushes in bloom today! And I've also spotted lots of spring robins! Has anyone noticed that robins are like the kamakazes of the bird kingdom? They are forever flying right in front of my car, swooping down in front when there's plenty of room way up high and they wouldn't risk being killed by a car. They're such daredevils! My tulips and daffodils are probably about a week from busting forth and they're already talking on the news about the cherry blossoms and their peak. That's always quite the story around DC, when the cherry blossoms are going to bloom and the timing of the parade and shindig usually put on.

I haven't done my taxes yet. Gotta get going!

Podmom - Yep, I liked the hot yoga, but now I'm thinking that it was probably a lot like childbirth. While you're doing it, you're thinking to yourself "I'll never do this again" but afterwards you're thinking "that wasn't so bad, I could see myself doing that again!." So I'll give it another go and see if it's something I'd like to do regularly.

Loved the Leia/Chewy hug, that was so cute!

My mom (RIP Sweetie!) would be have been 87 years old tomorrow! Pices are great people IMO.

I know no Portugese

I missed New Amsterdam. Shucks...

But last night I went to my scrapbooking friend's house and while we were working, someone mentioned when/if certain shows were returning and I said "Moonlight's coming back on soon" and two of my friends 'fessed up that they watched it too and were waiting for it to come back on too. We all talked about it fondly, missing it and all...

Well, I got my hair done and now instead of Javier Bardem, I look like...

..Barbara Streisand and her bubble cut at the Oscars!! Hellooo, gorgeous! Hm, guess I won't say that to the Blood Ties boys when I see them (although it would be true)! I brought pictures of them to show the beautician and she likes that show and also Moonlight!

I also mentioned Moonlight to one of my dog-walking neighbors awhile back and I saw her later and she was like "Oh gawd, Moonlight... that guy! He's so handsome..." she was all fannish and sputtering and speechless -- it was really cute! Another convert to the vamp from down under.

I usually pack for whatever remote eventuality (tsunami, sudden audience to see the Queen) but I really want to do carry-on and I want to squash everything in my tiniest overnight bag. And I know I'm not going to be there long and not going to do any variety of things. Just packing summer slacks and t shirt, jeans and flannel shirt - the jacket is the problem - I'll be lugging that around I'm sure. I used to pretty much pack as much as I could possibly carry.

Oh well, I say that now... then I start throwing in extra outfits! LOL! "Oh might need the snow shoes... or the snorkel.. or a guitar..." I'm not nearly as strong as I used to be, for lugging stuff around either.

Your weather is way ahead of ours (and ours is way ahead of what Maggie and FL have in Montreal). Just the teensy tips of the bulbs were peeking out of the ground here and no robins yet. But the snow seems to be all melted (at least until the next snow! Although it might be rain - it's been such a rainy winter).

LOL, I was still getting ads for sweating and men's underwear. I think it's some Google program that links the ads to what you're talking about, or a close approximately. Clever and sort of scary!

I can see that yoga being like childbirth - I sort of thought giving birth was what running a marathon is like, some incredibly physical transcendent type effort, and you are so wiped out but totally jubilant and stoked when you cross that finish line/get that little bundle in the blanket.

Funny, my friend watched New Amsterdam and she said exactlly what I said - odd nose, nice accent, and what's up with him going around saying "I fought in the War of 1812" and other not-too-secretive stuff about being immortal! He just says stuff like this all through the pilot and all he gets is the occasional "huh?" look from the people he's with.

It's cool he makes 'antique' furniture and his friend sells it now and then for big $. He's probably had a lot of different careers over all the centuries! Interesting concept. Not sure yet if it's a good show or not.

I am so antsy... oh well, got to try getting some work done!

Hi Everyone!

MyrnaLynne, Ewww, I know what you mean about That Dried Cod Fish! Ewwwwww!

For the peeps that don't know about it... In the Olden Days, they cured the Cod fish in Brine/Salt to keep it from spoiling. Then months later, they'd soak it in water and keep changing the water till the fish was miraculously soft and cookable, and supposidly very delicious. (But I don't care for fish, so I'm not the one to ask how it is. ) But my Grandmother "Vavo" used to LOVE it!

(Funny, Satan Jr., [who is half Portuguese and half Italian], calls his Portuguese grandmother "Avoa". And both Grandmothers came from San Miguel. Strange, huh? Anyway, I digress.

Yes, can you imagine?! I grew up on the ocean, and I don't like eating fish! Love going fishing tho'! Go figure...

Safe Travels and have a Wonderful Time MyrnaLynne! I don't know what time you are leaving tomorrow, and I didn't want to miss wishing you a good trip!

And I hope you are happy with your hair cut too!

My No. 2 son just got his hair cut at one of those fast cut places like "Super Cuts" and he said an old Asian man cut his hair this time. He gave him the best hair cut he's had in a long time from one of those places too! Usually he gets some young girl and does a half-fast job on his hair which he's non-to-pleased with.

And when I ask him why does he go if he's not happy with them, he usually says, "Because it's quick and cheap!" So I said, 'Well there you go... you get what you pay for!'

Poddy, That's Ok, most things MOTHER does makes my blood pressure go up too! Grrrr!

Like, take for instant, the other night while I was making supper, and she called and wanted me to drop EVERYTHING and go right over to her place because the pharmacy gave her a New Glucometer and she didn't know how to work it.

So I told her "NO! READ the book! And then you'll learn how to work it!" She thru' a tantrum, threw the book and it was all witnessed by my Lainie who was there at the time.

She doesn't want to do one thing for herself! She expects everyone to do for her! Grrrrr!

Well, I didn't give in and did NOT go over, but she made Lainie sooo incredibly crazy that Lainie ended up reading the book to her, and explained it to her along the way until she understood it! Lainie was drained by the time she came home. The woman does wear you out! Poor Lainie!

And I'm glad you liked my Dr. story. I'm glad I didn't bore you or confuse you too much.

Speaking of Dr's... I saw my Dr yesterday. Well, I'm now taking yet another pill for this swelling. GAHHHH!!!! I'm on so many water pills now, that it's not even funny! And you should see the size of my Potassium pill because I'm on so many water pills! It literally could choke a horse!!!

I swear I could fill a swimming pool at the rate that I'm putting out, but as fast as it goes, the faster I'm filling up! Grrrrr!

And yes, I'm still off of work. (sigh) My body is just being so unreasonable!

Oh, Loved your Star Wars HUG ANI, btw! So cute!!!

Scottie, don't feel bad about not knowing Portuguese... I'm practically right there with you! LOL!

You mentioned about not being able to believe it being warm anyway... well it was in the 70's here yesterday! Sorry, not gloating... just stating the facts ma'am.

Speaking of "Ma'am"... there's a receptionist at my Dr's office named Ma'am! Yep, her parents GAVE her that name! Can you imagine?!!!

And speaking of "Ma'am", I scheduled my "Mammo" today... they gave me an appt on the 17th of this month, which after thinking about it, I realized it was St. Patty's Day! I knew that date sounded familiar! LOL!

I have Irish heritage in me too, and my maiden Last Name is Irish... anyway, my oldest niece Jenna (my Bro's daughter) was born on the 19th of this month, but he,(my Bro'), soooo wanted her to be born on St. Patty's Day! So much so that he had his wife taking a nice long walk around their neighborhood on St. Patty's day to hope to start her labor! What a guy, eh?! IDIOT!

Hugs to All,
Wen

You seem to be about 2 wks ahead of us...boy it was springy today

Wen You guys need to treat mom like Jans family poorly trained obnoxious dog...I have always been firm with him(cause he does rediculous dangerous to the old ones things like jump really hard on you the second you try to walk in the door and poor old Betty is struggling to control him, bite the back of your legs and bark like mad when you go to leave ....so every time I go in I kick at his face to keep him off me...then I talk firm and smack him lightly if hes bad...I pet him too(once in awhile) and give him treats and take him out I just don't take any crap...and of course I am the alpha male there....he always behaves for me(never ever for them) he lays at my feet and lifts his legs, sometimes he even pees a little...it's actually comical cause he's so bad and such a goof and it's so painfully different that you have to laugh....Barb the hyper ,load big sister dog owner is the real problem but she will/can not change though all tell her to oiy...........ooo there's a rant from me SO lets get mm a shock color Glad you had a lovely day

Podmom - that cracks me up! Love the Hillary/Obama thingie, it's hilarious! And yes, I'm incredibly sick of political stuff, but then again, it's never really interested me all that much and now I hate all the negative attack ads on tv. But I actually like both Democratic nominees and John McCain's pretty okay too. So we'll see how it all washes out.

Childbirth was just something that came into my head while I was doing the hot yoga, because I was so hot and it was so difficult and I kept thinking that I'd NEVER do it again in a million years. And then afterwards, people came up to me and said "how'd you like it?" and I said it was great! Crazy, eh?

My cousin has a dog that's so bad. She's a big yellow lab mix and she's so badly behaved. To my cousin's credit, she rescued the dog, she (dog) was found abandoned in an apartment complex when the owners just literally moved out and left their dog in the apt! So Kerri (cousin) took her in, how could she not? She's a really pretty dog, sweet natured, but is one wild child! She's fast, clumsy, she counter surfs and raids the trash can. She eats anything that's not nailed down and she barks when you discipline her. We need you, Podmom, to come give her a firm talking to! I think as she's gotten older she's gotten somewhat better, but when she comes to visit, I always have to put stuff away that she might eat and batten down the hatches so to speak!

Wen - I'm so happy your weather is so nice! I remember a month or so ago you posted a pic of some flowers in your yard and I couldn't believe that flowers were blooming so early! I just love the spring and can't wait until it's finally warm enough not to wear a winter coat. We've had a few nice days, it's even gotten as high as the seventies once or twice, but we've still got lots of winter left around here. But we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Sorry you're taking yet another drug for your leg, hopefully this one will work. Poor Lainie for having to deal with Mother's tantrums, but at least Lainie was there and not you! I'm glad you stood up to her, she makes so many unreasonable demands on your time when you need to get well.

ML - love the Barbra Streisand 'do! And Podmom's right, it's very current right now, I think it's Posh Spice (?) who wears her hair sorta Barbra-ish now (minus the bangs I think). I think it'll be nice!

I think you could leave the flannel shirt at home, don't you think it'll be too warm for it in Florida? LOL! Or is that for when you get home? Anyway, you'll look wonderful and have a super time.
