| Oh VB I can't believe they fired you after one day on that part-time job! ![]() Well, they don't know what a good person they missed out on having work for them, that's all I can say. Definitely was not meant to be! I should have brought you with me to Florida, Veronic! ![]() And ITA about Tom Cruise - Mr ML and I have decided he is so weird, and we are so suspicious of Scientology (a religion made up by a down on his luck science fiction writer as a get-rich-quick self-help scam), we won't go see any more of his movies. Just like I won't go see any more Woody Allen movies after he ran off with his (basically) step daughter and married her. Eww. As bad as Cordelia sleeping with Angel's son! Your grandmother's eye thing sounds like what my dad has - part of the eye gets like a cloud in it, when you are older, or too much sun, whatever causes that to happen. But they fix this all the time now with old people. Still, I think doing anything to your eye is very scary! (but don't tell Grandma I said that, so she won't be scared!) :>Mr ML and I once set the alarm to wake up in the middle of the night to look at an eclipse. But I agree, who wants to be awake at 4 a.m.?! ![]() MLette and I had a good time watching the Oscars last night! Her boyfriend came and watched with us too until he had to go to work (he works an overnight shift). We thought about putting on gowns and having a real 'Oscar party' but it's much too chilly this time of year to wear skimpy long dresses! (And probably none would fit me anymore, but that's another story). The show wasn't that exciting and I'm not crazy about John Stewart - hate politics, hate political humorists, and he didn't even try to be that funny. shrug. I was happy for the people who were so thrilled to win - the French lady for La vie en Rose - she was excited beyond belief and you could see from the clip she gave an amazing performance (even if nobody ever went to see that movie!). Javier Bardem - he is very, um, manly looking! We don't have many guys like that any more. Sort of reminds me of Robert Mitchum. Those Irish folk singers from "Once" - they were so thrilled. A friend of mine saw that movie and said it was really good - I should put it 'on the list.' The songs were all pretty terrible - I thought the August Rush gospel choirish song would win. And Enchanted got 3 nominated songs and didn't win anything. Everybody said Amy Adams should have been nominated. But I kept wishing she was wearing sleeves, when she was singing and waving those pale skinny spaghetti arms around! ![]() For the others like Daniel Day Lewis, it was 'Oh thanks for another one of these, they are very nice." He actually looked pretty jubilant, for him - he is one of those gloomy, shy, and serious thoughtful people. Like Heath Ledger, a very Method-y vibrating sensitive raw nerve ending type guy (make great actors, not very happy people). And what is up with him and Colin Farrell with the golden earrings in both ears - that look only works for pirates, imho! Not a good look. George Clooney looked old. Harrison Ford looked really old - I can't believe he dragged himself through another Indiana Jones movie! And that 98 year old man they honored and made stand there and give a speech - he WAS old! Really old. Oh well, the Oscars are very silly and frivolous and on way too late/run way too long, but we always watch them and love seeing all the stars come out. Katherine Heigl was there in her red lipstick and looking old Hollywood glam as she does. Regis Philbin did a really annoying red-carpet (he only likes to talk about himself, which doesn't make for a great interviewer! )Oh well... back to it! ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 02-25-2008 at 01:09 PM. | |||

| ML - loved your Oscars take! I only differ a tad with you about George Clooney - I'm not a ga-ga fan of his by any means, but I thought he looked exceptionally handsome last night, and I loved when he invited that uber-annoying Regis Philbin to his place in Italy, I thought Regis was going to have a coronary! How funny! I thought Renee Zelwigger looked very pretty, but apparently she's getting some very negative comments about her short hair. I thought it was different. Poor KH, she was so nervous when she was doing her speel. I thought she looked very glamorous, like you said. Loved the little French actress, she was adorable. Agree that I'll have to see that movie now. And how sweet was it that they let that little Irish singer come back on stage and say "thanks" when that irritating music cut off her chance to say thanks. Very nice of "them"! I'm so glad you're going to the convention! I hope you have a great time. I hadn't heard about Moonlight and CBS. Is Les Moonves still the head honcho at CBS? He was instrumental in Roswell's demise years ago, and I still harbor a grudge against him. ![]() Wen - loved Mezz's idea about dealing with your bro's "lol" to you and taking Mother for a while. How rude! Do you think Mother would actually take a trip to see your brother? Is he far away? I also loved hearing about Honey's heritage, she sounds like she was a real sweetie and I'm sure you miss her still. Molly came for another visit? Are Belle and Teddy still sleeping? I'm sure she wore them out. My sister's still visiting me (not sure if I've mentioned that or not), but she brought her dog with her. Her dog is really old and Hazel tries to play with her and she looks at Hazel like "are you kidding?" Poor Hazel, no playmate! VB - sorry you got axed after one day, but I agree that they lost out on a good employee. And how funny was it that the 15 minute training they gave you was so EXPENSIVE! You're a good granddaughter, I'm glad you get along with your grandmother. I never knew my mom's mom, but my dad's mom was so mean! She liked my older sister, used to buy her stuff all the time and bring it over to our house and then tell my younger sister and I that we couldn't play with it (whatever "it" was at the time). She lived to be 104 years old! We always said that she was too mean to die! Podmom - loved the cat slide! That was hilarious! I live at exit 33B off of 95, so you were pretty close to me! I went to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for the weekend, with some of my girlfriends, we went outlet shopping (no tax on clothes in Delaware!). We had so much fun and I got lots of good bargains. The Danskin outlet had work-out tops and bottoms that I wear all the time for $9.99. They're regularly like 30-40 dollars, so good deal! Mezz - Agreed that Tom Cruise is a nutcase (IMO). But he sure has a cute daughter. I don't think I've seen Collateral yet... Which reminds me that it was good to see that Hollywood's having another baby explosion. Wonderful to see Keith Urban (so hunky) and Nicole together and you could almost see her baby bump! Good for them! Much more to say, but no more time dangit! ![]() __________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||

| Oh, didn't mean to say George Clooney isn't handsome - he is very handsome! I just thought he was looking sort of older and greyer than I'd seen him, considering he's not all that old yet. LOL, my friend who likes him a lot said they were comparing his date's dress to 'chintz curtain' material. ;p She also said his dad was also prematurely grey and old, so must be in the genes. Handsome devil, though. And smart too. Renee Zellweger is pretty but such an odd face, with the squinty eyes and puckered mouth - always looks to me like she just sucked a lemon before coming out onstage! It's true, that French gal was in rapture when her film just won an award for the makeup (those hideous painted-on eyebrows!) so she was 10x more excited when the award was for her! That was really nice they let the singing gal come out and say thanks - Jon Stewart being gracious and not snarky was kind of shocking too - you just expect him to make fun of everybody. George Clooney seemed to be bracing himself in the front row for somebody to take potshots and tease him about things. And I totally don't get Jack Nicholson (or his indoor sunglasses). I just don't know why he's treated like this god in Hollywood. Just a dirty old man to me. One guy with a beard who went up there to accept an award among 3 guys, probably for something technical or arty, looked absolutely stoned out of his mind. I forget which thing that was for but I wasn't sure he'd remain standing through their whole thank you speech. giggle. Dr McDreamy was so cute and was giving Amy Adams such nice warm loving looks, the way costars do when they've made a lovey dove movie together and become friends. I see why the Grey's fans like that guy, he is very crinkly and charming. I still haven't seen 'Enchanted' (it's on the Netflix list! LOL!) I'm very happy for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban too. All the babies happening lately are very happy events. I thought she couldn't have any, but I guess she was so traumatized having a miscarriage with Tom C they just adopted instead and now she's got the courage up to try again (although no spring chicken now!). She is so lovely, she looks like she's a porcelain doll. Gwen Stefani is working on baby #2. And ITA, Tom Cruise's daughter is very very cute (as is his wife). But he just scares me. LOL, wouldn't go see Hairspray, not because John T is a Scientologist, but because we were all grossed out at the prospect of him playing a fat mother in a dress! Not Vinnie Barberino - say it isn't so! Great bargain shopping, Scottie especially on stuff you wear and need and would buy anyway and have to pay more for. Sometimes things are such a good bargain, you buy stuff you didn't even really want anyway, just because it's such a bargain! LOL! That happens to me every time I go into a Wal-Mart, the stuff is so crazy cheap (and then it rips and I have to throw it away in a week - because it was so crazy cheaply made too). shrug. LOL about the visiting sister and her dog trying to play with Hazel, the 'sedate lady.' If a dog ever came to visit us, I'm sure my dog would try to drive him/her away! He's sooo territorial. Matt Roush offered a little glimmer of hope about Moonlight, that CBS wouldn't make 4 more shows and finish the season, if they planned to cancel it - they would have axed it during the strike. Before the strike, Les Moonves made noises that renewal was pretty much in the bag, and Nina Tassler VP whoever person there really likes Alex O'Loughlin (really really likes him - hey, she's a woman with eyes, isn't she?) So - fingers crossed! But I think a lot of people will have to watch it, check out the show at CBS website etc before they renew it again. I mean, the show won a People's choice award, keeping it going should be a no-brainer but hey, TV Networks = No Brain-ers! ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| Hi Everyone! ![]() I don't have much time to play today... Lainie is bringing MOTHER over soon, and she wants to go shopping with me. (sigh) She ( MOTHER was over the entire weekend, so no/ or nearly no computer time for me. (sigh) I tried to watch the Oscars with MOTHER. Oh THAT was fun! NOT! Even tho' she had the TV BLAIRING, she still kept asking me "What did they say?!" and then I'd miss stuff by having to repeat stuff to her. Grrrrr! Then, she kept asking..."Is it over yet?" And I kept telling her... "NO, they still haven't annouced Best Picture or Best Director yet!!!" Grrrrrr!!!! I think the ONLY part she liked was when they showed tribute to all the DEAD actors! At least those she knew! LOL! Then after she ruined the Oscars, she wanted to go home. Oh, and she wouldn't let me watch the preview either, so I didn't get to see anyone walk on the red carpet! ![]() Ok, enough about HER. Vero, I'm sorry to hear they let you go after the 1st day! It truly is Their Loss! And that's really so nice of you to take care (or try to anyway) of your Mom. You really are such a good daughter! ![]() Poddy, I loved your Kitty-Waterslide Ani too! It was really cute! Am thinking of you today with you picking up Big Viv. Good luck with that. ![]() Scottie, Awww, no playtime for Hazel. But I really understand that. I've had older dogs too that just were too old to play, and it's true... they give that: "Are you kidding?" look "You want to play? Get real kid!" LOL! They are so readable sometimes. LOL!MyrnaLynne, I'm sorry... I forgot to comment on your new comfortable sneakers! Congrats!!!I practically lived in "Converse" all thru' my teens and beyond! Those are the best! And yes, they looked just like Jason's. Altho', sometimes I'd alternate with the white ones too. ![]() And I'm glad everyone liked my "Honey's" heritage story. Oh, I forgot to tell you how Jack managed to get into a yard that had a 6ft fence all the way around...He would jump against the gate time after time until he got a rythem going, and it would spring the latch and the latch would pop up and the gate would open! But then the gate would swing shut right behind him usually trapping him in the yard. The gate didn't always work the same way as he tried to get out, so peeps would find him in their yards and not have a clue how he got there. I know how, because I caught him in the act one day and just watched him in action! He was a really smart dog! LOL! Aaaaahhhh, she's here! Got to go... ![]() Hugs, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | ............flying in for a quickie ![]() Wen glad mom enjoyed seeing the dead actors btw I did see the oscars but I spoke to Pdad for a minute and missed the end of the tribute...and I wanted to see Heath...did they end with him like I imagined they would? You have the best pet stories LEts get Bro a shock collar to keep him in line ![]() ML I wish I had been at your house for the oscars...nobody to watch it with without EM Pdad just could never watch them...it's enough that hes watching American Idol with me(especially seeing it is 3 times a week to boot ) Yea the Scientology thing is beyond weird when you read what goes on...sad really....troubles me that Katie and their baby have to get into it now goes to show you how ppl will fill "the God shaped void" with anything(just mho) I missed the bearded druggie...darn Cloony was going grey back in his ER days.....I know the Jack N thing is so tired at this point. Nicole continues to have an amazing fashion sence..those necleces were so perfect! I loved McD too....hey I told you about Once eons ago ...you'll love that song after you see the movie....Ithat was the big highlight of the night for them...and the Once girl was so composed and well spoken(she's young too) compared to another beautiful starlet in a great red dress Scottie SO I drove past you....I thought of you whenever I saw A UM sign Nothing like finding a great bargain! Congrats.....you had a nice wkend... back!vB What?! Man those guys are dim wits...sounds like you were just as happy not to have to go back.....you're doing a better thing being with your Gmother anyway...glad the wet cat made you smile. Mezz You are very welcome!! Hey ..how do you really feel about Tom of course I'm always on your page.Well Viv is well.....taking a chair catnap as I type.....I am doing amazingly well....I've been in serious prayer about this situation fo weeks and God has been so faithful....just touched me(in His time..I could have used it earlier...but I wasn't really tuning in much so I had to wait) and I have the huge resentment burden lifted....we talked a little today(my sis was doing alot of talking to her(she's a confronter, oldest kid that she is) and we are at such a good place..Praise the Lord.......sorry for all the God talk but it's just been so profound can't help but having a little spill out here...I'll stifle now ![]() this is for all you precious dog owners ![]() __________________ ![]() | |||

| LOL, Podmom that wiggly dog nose thing made me so laugh out loud! ![]() I needed to come over here and take a break because I was so totally dozing off a few seconds ago, after typing a long thing for Mrs Boss. (Viv is not the only master of the 'chair catnap'! Plus I do 'sleep typing' sometimes.) ![]() Finally done with that and I can go get some lunch and bring it to her office. And come back and attack the other giant pile that I've been putting off for some unknown reason. I'm so glad you made a spiritual breakthrough re the burden of Viv and how you feel about it/are dealing with it. That's wonderful because attitude really is everything and nothing is real except how our thoughts make it real (at least according to my way more spiritual friend - I think everything is uber real, personally, esp when you stub your toe on it). But I get what she means - things are what they are, and all you can deal with is how you think about them/react to them and your attitude about stuff. Not saying that's easy, though! You are a truly good person, and work at being that way! LOL, Squirrels in Spaceships! We should send some over to Australia - hear they don't have any squirrels. But they have enough other way cool creatures and squirrels would probably take over the place (like those pesky rabbits did). I spend a lot of time watching squirrels in the warm weather, because that's what my dog loves to do most (he's obsessed) and they are the cleverest and funniest and most agile creatures, and they really seem to have a good time and enjoy life! ![]() Yes, the I See Dead People tribute ended with a photo of Heath L in his Brokeback Cowboy outfit, he was the last one. sniff! A whole lot of behind the scenes and really old time folks I didn't know at all died this year. Was sorry about Suzanne Pleshette - she was very cool! Loved her with Bob Newhart! I just found out she was Jewish, when I read an article about her after she passed (also that she married Tom Poston later in life - and he died earlier the same year). Who knew! Also just found out that blonde Peggy Lipton from Mod Squad was Jewish (and married Quincy Jones and their daughter, Rashida Jones, is an actress now). Ok, that was way off on a tangent... ![]() I am still really enjoying 'Kyle XY.' It's just such a nice family show and I like all the characters. Well, except for annoying super sis Jessi and the blonde ditz girl friend, but she doesn't have a big part. But even that's true to life - people are annoying! Odd though, like on Roswell, some of the 'kids' are 27 and some of them are actually 17 - and playing around the same ages! The Kyle boy is more than a little odd, but extremely likeable. ABCFamily is definitely the new WB! sigh. Feeling all old and ugly and limpy and wondering why I'm going to inflict that on those handsome Blood Ties guys next week. sigh My hair is also looking exactly like Javier Bardem's bad guy hair in 'No country for old men' - not a good look!! (Although better on me than on Javier, I suppose). Yep, one of those days! ![]() ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| Hey JOFs! ![]() ML - too funny about the Javier Bardem (almost typed "JB" but those initials are sacred!) hair! Maybe a trip to the stylist for a trim would perk you up? Sometimes just a tiny trim helps. But then again, it always seems like my stylist thinks that because I'm sitting in her chair for a haircut she needs to wop off an inch or two when I request a trim!). I think Javier is a whole lot cuter in real life than in the creepy movie hair-do. Quote:
I just loved Suzanne Pleshette. She was a beautiful woman, funny and talented. She'll be missed.Very funny about Renee Zellwegger, yep, she does sort of look like she's just eaten a lemon! I watched Independence Day with my sister last night (the one with Will Smith and Bill Pullman), my sister had never seen it before, and who do I see but Devon Gummerall in his MUCH younger years! I totally didn't know he was in that movie. I actually chuckled a little at the virgin comment (which was really unnecessary dialog and should have met the cutting room floor). (If you haven't seen the movie, his character is flirting with another young girl who says she doesn't want to die a virgin and he says then they'll both die virgins b/c he's one too, or something like that.) Totally stupid. Good news about Moonlight - or at least encouraging! Podmom - what cute doggies! Loved it. My friend sent me a "screensaver" in an email which turned out to be a darling little black pug dog who licks the screen when you open it up. It's really cute! I'm also glad you're in a good place where Viv is concerned! Very nice indeed. I hope it lasts and you have a good visit with her. Wen - yep, elderly dogs just feel like they don't have to put up with the young'uns at all (sometimes). And Hazel isn't a spring chicken herself, but she's still extremely playful. We have a long hallway that leads back to our bedrooms in our house and we throw Hazel's "babies" down the hall for her to fetch. She also fetches frisbees and balls and knows what you're talking about; when you say "go get the frisbee" she'll get the frisbee and if you say "no, go get the ball" she'll look all around the house until she finds a tennis ball (usually under some sort of furniture!). Dogs are so smart. How are your feet feeling? Did you go shopping with Mother? Are you swelling? Hmmmm..???? So sorry she ruined your Oscar experience for you. It wasn't that good of an Oscar, I hadn't seen any of the movies (as I said earlier) so I really didn't care who won! Seeing the Oscars always makes me think that one day I'll be so thrilled to see Jason either give out an Oscar (as KH did) or actually walk across the stage and accept one. How cool will that be? I think that will be my proudest day ever, I wish success for him so much. Yeah, it was sad to see Heath Ledger's face up there among the recently departed thespians. So much left to live... Gotta scoot, you all!__________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||

| Oh ML now you made me laugh out load....you rock and you will have fun...you're just having the typical "what did I just do?" reaction we all have...remember we are at the age where we should do everything we can while we can....you and your leather jacket go be cool I missed if you are meeting ppl there? I'm glad you are enjoying Kyle...is it back on? I have it tivod but don't have any eppies I liked Suzanne it was nice she and Tom found love latter in life Thanks for the Heath update...still sad Thanks too for your kind words.....I was kinda embarrassed to divulge but my friends here are always sweet!Hey Scottie That screen saver sounds cute Sounds like you and sis are having fun Who is Devon?(was he Marias cousin? I thought that was an entertaining movie..I like Will. Yup...I pray it lasts too! ![]() Hey Wen and vB __________________ ![]() | |||

| Didn't I hear that Maria/Majandra married Devon Gumersall (whatever his last name is). He was in Independence Day?! I didn't realize that. I love those big summer blockbuster save the world movies. I loved the one with the asteroid and Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler and that song her real dad sang - oh gosh 100 senior moments in one sentence! Ok.. Armageddon is the movie. Mr ML thought it was the dumbest ever, with them standing around on the asteroid, but I liked it. Steven Buscemi was in there! The man who proves being homely doesn't stand in the way of a successful acting career. We can't all look like Jason! Bruce Willis was the dad in the movie too, right? Very cool film. Steve Tyler - he's from Boston - and Aerosmith? - I don't want to miss one smile, I don't want to miss one kiss. ![]() We just watched Shrek 3. Not sure now that any of us saw Shrek 2, but it was cute. And there was nothing at all on TV - nothing is on TV the entire week. Whole lotta nutthin'! I watched Doug Liman talking about how great 'Jumper' was. They were all so thrilled to film at the real Coluseum - but then they said "Well of course we had to rebuild the Coluseum on a sound stage in Toronto, so we could blow it up etc" - well, duh, why did they bother going to the real place. I still don't get that at all. They were so excited about it, but it was totally pointless to the film, it was just like "wouldn't this be cool" - or maybe he just missed travelling like he did with Bourne films. I don't know. I like Hayden Christensen. He's a very elegant looking young guy - aristocratic.Mr ML and I made an asparagus frittata (fritatta?) - came out pretty good for a first effort. Just a fancy omlette. Maybe fritatta is Italian for omlette. ![]() I'm not kidding about the hair - looks exactly like Javier Bardem's. I was thinking of going for a last minute haircut, but you never know how those turn out. Also was thinking of tying a babuska over it - I used to always wear a scarf on my hair when it was long, for years and years (and years). Maybe they'll think I'm having chemo and take pity on me. Or better yet, I could just cut eyeholes in a paper bag - also have a giant blemish in the middle of my nose that won't go away. Oh, menopause is so charming, just like puberty without any of the fun. Those boys are soooo good looking... ![]() And no, I'm not meeting anybody, I'm going all alone. I've chatted with some Kyle/Blood Ties fans at a fansite, but I don't know them or anything. OK time for sleep - I can't believe it's only Tuesday! Seems like a week went by already. Oh we had rain and snow, big weird snow, such big flakes it looked like feathers falling out of a pillow. I swear every snow storm we've had this winter has had a totally different size/shape/quality of snow from teeny balls and grains to these big floaty things. ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 02-27-2008 at 07:03 AM. | Hey all!!! Who said that just because you're home you actually have time to sit on the computer? I did... but as it turns out..... Anyway had a lovely morning going to the gym (yep! Still sticking to that!) and by the time I came back it was time to make lunch. Thanks everyone for the support about that job leting me go. :grupe_hug: But that's ok... it obviously wasn't the thing for me. ![]() I haven't seen the Oscars yet... and it seems like I won't... I can't seem to find it on the programs to the channels we have.... but I do know who won what and such. What it just me or was it obvious Daniel Dea-Louis will win? I guess that guy is on a roll.... but I always hate it when the same people win every year. ML, OOOOO if I could trust me! I'd be there with you! You'll have fun anyway.Yea doing something to the eye is very scary... I guess that's way some people are terrified of eye-drops. Renee Sellweger always reminds me of a suirrle... but I guess the 'ate a lemon head' works too. ![]() I was very happy for Nickol Kidman when I heard she's pregnat. When she and Tom Cruise were together I always heard that they just can't (that one of them is sterile) so when Tom had Suri.... well anyway I happy it's not the sterile-thing. ![]() Awww speaking of! I just think Suri is the most adorable kid. Whenever I see those celebrity-babies I think that they're sweet and cute and everything... but Suri? That kid for me is the cutest one..... We have the 2nd season of Kyle XY. It's nice and all I like watching it but there's something that bugs me about that show... don't know what. And you're def right! That guy playing Kyle does look wired. Oh yea. Majandra and Devon got married. Wired in a way but if they're happy then I'm not gonna maddle. ![]() I enjoied watching Armagedon too. It was a nice fun movie.... not nuts about any of the actors but it was a nice one. So sorry to hear about the hair. I guess we all have those... there really isn't much to do other thenhj go to a hair-dresser. ![]() Scottie, that was funny about your sister's dog not wanting to play with Hazel. Poor Hazel I bet she looked farword to playing with him. But I guess as they get older they just want to rest... ![]() Well you see getting along with my grandma isn't that hard... you do your thing and she does hars. But she hardly talks Hebrew which a problem to me since I don't really talk Iddish.... and there's also the fact she hardly hears anything (and won't get an ear-piece). We're usually say one-word sentences to each other and that's that. She ok and she's always trying to help... but not the suffocating kind so it's all goo. That's very un-nice what your grandma used to do. To bad you didn't get along with her... but at least while you talked she probebly knew what you were saying.... which could probebly also be a bad thing....![]() podmommy, I just loved that banner!!! Even though I'm not a dog owner. Look at all of the sweet puppies! I hope that spiritual mode is still with you. It definitely helps to have that mode when dealing with unplesent things.... or though people.... BTW totally agree! It's like trying and looking at the positive side. It's hard somethings but if you do that it will be a lot eazier to deal with everything. Wen, so sorry mom interrupted you while seeing the Oscars. Maybe you should just lock her in a room everytime she comes over.![]() I just love seeing te Red Carpet! I think it's one of the best times in the whole thing... I mean the ceremony's nice but seeing all of the stars stop by is just.... I guess magical ina way. Sorry you didn't get to see it! ![]() Well because I don't have a job I do try to be helpful as much as I can... it's not like I have anything better to do. ![]() Wow! Jack is (was?) some persistent dog! And a wise one too. Try not to let mom be to much of a hussle would you? You need to rest too! ![]() all__________________ Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.----- Baz Luhrmann You don't have to be crazy to be my friend.... | My brother and his last wife had a pair of poodles, Bonnie and Clyde, and they had all these squeeky toys and those dogs were so smart, you could say "go get the elephant" or "go get the bunny" or whatever, and they knew all of the little rubber toys by name/what they were and would run and fetch them. Poodles are very smart (although of course now and then you run into a dumb/neurotic one from a bad breeder). LOL! That's so good VB that you are sticking to the gym! And so bad I won't even join one, or even get back to exercising at home. I used to have a whole exercise routine I used to do before going to bed and now - I just go to bed! ![]() It must be very hard, not being able to communicate with Grandma, because of her being deaf and not speaking Hebrew and you not knowing Yiddish. That would be kind of odd. But I guess a lot of families are like that. My dad's neighbor (and one of his best friends down there at the condo) was married to a Lebanese man, and her in-laws would call up and talk to her in Arabic or whatever and she didn't understand a word of it, but they'd just chat away on the phone to her in their own language! ![]() Yes, Daniel Day-Lewis won (again) for 'There Will be Blood' (something about an oil man, which I heard doesn't actually have that much blood). 'No Country for Old Men' by the Coen brothers won a lot of awards too (which I guess doesn't have a lot of old men, but a lot of blood! LOL!) ![]() The awards shows are all very glamorous with the gowns and the jewelry. I read a funny thing, that Diablo Cody, woman who wrote Juno (and won an Oscar for that) was supposed to wear some fabu shoes by some designer guy. He put out some advertising with her name on it, before she wore them and without her permission or whatever, and she was so mad, she didn't wear his silly shoes, she wore these sensible flats instead! She was probably the only woman at the Oscars wearing sensible comfortable shoes. I don't know how those actresses (or ballroom dancers) wear those high high spiky heels. I just can't do it. If I wore heels, my legs would fall right off!__________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| Hi Everyone! ![]() Poddy, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the sniffing doggies!!! They are sooo cute!!! ![]() And I feel God's Help is the ONLY way to deal with OUR Mothers. Certainly can't do it on our own, that's for sure!!! But I'm glad you got "that peace" that only God can give. ![]() And Lainie is picking MOTHER after school and bringing her over again today. Hopefully she won't want to go shopping because my legs need a rest! Sorry you missed the end of the Dead Actor's Tribute, and missed Heath L. They went straight to commercial right after they showed Heath, because I'm sure no one could speak after that... they needed time to compose I'm sure. And I'm glad you like my Pet Stories. I just am afraid that I'm boring everyone with them.MyrnaLynne, Sorry you are feeling a bit under par. Probably the weather has a lot to do with your mood. But soon you'll be in Sunny Florida, and soaking up that beautiful Sunshine and Beautifully handsome Men... ahem ...Blood Ties Men! ![]() Oh, and I know what you mean about having to wear those uncomfortable high heels. They just kill your feet! Many moons ago, I used to work retail, in the dress dept. and we of course had to wear dresses and along with that, high heels. Gosh, by the end of the day/night, my feet used to hurt so bad that I just wanted to walk on my face!!! ![]() I just keep thinking about poor Ginger Rogers... she used to have to wear those high heels while dancing and her feet used to bleed, but she still had to dance! ![]() Scottie, Oh, could you please post the URL to that cute black pug Screensaver? I bet my son & DIL would get a big kick out of it! I know they'd put it on their computer since they have a cute little black pug! ![]() And thanks for asking about my legs. ![]() Well, after MOTHER running me ragged, my legs are triple in size and are now weeping! Grrrr! So it's NO more running around for me! And if they don't stop weeping soon, I'll have to call my Dr., which I don't want to do, because he'll know I haven't been good by staying put with my feet up. ![]() Oh, and my Bro' only lives about an hour away, so it's not that far at all! Vero, That must be hard trying to comunicate with your Grandmom. I'm surprized that they never taught you how to speak Yiddish since your Grandmom speaks it. And I know how hard it is trying to speak to someone who refuses to wear a hearing aid! Believe me I know because MOTHER is hard of hearing but will NOT wear one! Grrrrr! Well, I went to my Opthalmologist this morning and Good News, my eye pressures haven't changed, nor has that weird spot, so he said he still wants to watch it, and so I go back to him in a couple of months. Right now, he's very happy that nothing has changed, or had gotten worse! Whew! That's a relief! I was really concerned, but with him taking a wait and see attitude, I feel a bit better because if it were serious, he wouldn't wait. He said that my eye pressures were at 22/23. I don't know where that is on the good/bad scale, but that's what they are at, so if he's Ok with that, then I'm Ok with that. Hope Everyone is having a Good Week so far! ![]() Hugs to All, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | Good news Wen about your eyes! I'm glad that is off your mind Ah yes the hearing thing....at this moment I have my Ipod up loud to try and drown out the loud TV news.....the constant news is chipping away at my peace That is a tough one for me cause I listen to music and not the tube in the daytime and the drone is rough on me.....but in the greatful vein...I have the Ipod Your legs are weeping you poor baby....show Mom I just don't think staying off the feet is a good enough treatment for such a vital woman wish they could help you more love. Glad the doggies made you happy Very good that they went to break after showing Heath....I'm sure there were tears there and around the world. Oh my gosh the working in the heals maybe that's whathappened to your legs...I'd sue ![]() ML You clever > "Yes, Daniel Day-Lewis won (again) for 'There Will be Blood' (something about an oil man, which I heard doesn't actually have that much blood). 'No Country for Old Men' by the Coen brothers won a lot of awards too (which I guess doesn't have a lot of old men, but a lot of blood! " Daniel intrigues me...and I think he is mellowing with age....ie not afraid to seem happy. I could wear heals if I had a walker ...."Once" girl wore flats Your hair riff... you might need to do stand up!!vB So nice that you and grandmother get on so well.....maybe you're a chip off the 'ol block. What a smart household you live in with all the different languages being understood BTW your english is better and better. | Poddy, I don't think I can sue since I worked in retail so many, many years ago! And besides, my feet & legs were fine then, just was really sore from working long hours in heels. ![]() Then after retail, I went into real estate, again with heels, but I got to sit down more, but again, my legs were fine then too. But when I traded my heels in for nursing shoes, Wow!!! What a difference in comfort!!! I could and did run my legs off, and even tho' my feet and legs were tired, it was NOTHING compared to having to wear heels! ![]() No, this weird swelling just came out of the blue, and have my Dr and I both baffled! But like I said before, he sent me for every test that "Swelling could have been signs of something life-threatening," and Thank the Good Lord, all those test came back negative! So, at least all the life-threatening stuff has been ruled out, so I'm not as worried. It's just very annoying to be housebound, and in pain all the time. UGH! Not fun at all. ![]() Ok, enough of my whining! Sorry to hear that Big Viv is blasting you out with the loud TV. But like you said, at least you have your I POD to help you somewhat. I don't have that... MOTHER wants my undivided attention all the time, EVEN when she's watching TV! ![]() And she takes catnaps too, but denies it Vehemently that she doesn't! ![]() And when she does take her catnaps, that's when I come to the computer, and when she wakes up, she screams like a Banshee for me! So when I tell her that I was just checking my email, or thread while she was sleeping, she SCREAMS that she was most certainly not sleeping! (sigh) Right, she wasn't sleeping... that's why her snoring was waking the DEAD, that's all! ![]() Loved the dolphin ani! It's sooo cute! ![]() You always find the Best Smilies and Ani's! ![]() Going to go for now... Biggest Hugs, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle.
