| Wow, once you guys get started it’s hard to keep up! R/L has been keeping me busy for the past week or so and now trying to catch up is like reading War and Peace! I’ve been enjoying all the pictures, though, especially of Hawaii and half-nekkid men.ML you were right about dancers getting hurt. My niece was a dancer and studied at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. The dance studio was in the gymnasium and when we’d go to visit her we’d see all the jocks coming out – walking fine, full of energy, no injuries. And then the dancers would come out – limping, with ace bandages on their feet, knees and ankles, and occasionally on their wrists and arms. It was amazing how they continued even though they were in pain. A lot of dancers have really ugly feet because of the blisters and calluses they get from their dance shoes, especially the toe shoes. They look so beautiful and graceful on the stage but behind the scenes it’s another story! Podmom - I’m a cat person too, and I also like dogs. But I can’t have a dog right now because I’m gone at least 10 hours a day and it just wouldn’t be fair to leave the poor pup locked up all day like that. I have two cats who are supposed to “keep each other company” but mainly they fight. I used to have cats that got along, but not anymore. Every night when I come home I can tell the fur’s been flyin’ because it’s all over my carpet! ![]() With reference to Jason, I’m a legal secretary and for Administrative Professionals Week two of the female associates I work with got me an autographed photo of Jason (from “The Tattooist”). They said I didn’t seem like a ‘bouquet of flowers’ kind of person so they asked my baymate what I might want and she told them anything with Jason’s picture! I have to admit I like it much better than a bowl of dead flowers! (But I wasn't sure they were going to give it up once they got a look at him! I think there are two new converts to the "I want Jason" club.)Wen I know what you mean about Jason. After 20 years of not dating, he’s the first guy who got me to sit up and take notice! Just a suggestion for when you’re typing a long post and you’re afraid it might disappear, you might want to try typing it as a word document and then cutting and pasting it into FF. BBW | |||

And I was out of the dating game a long time too! Still not dating... just waiting for Jason! (Altho' his wife might have something to say about that!) LOL!Sorry to hear that your kitties don't get along. Hope they don't go at it too badly! ![]() And yes, everyone was very chatty yesterday! It was nice! Like old times! We used to tear up the threads in no time! LOL! But we've lost a lot of peeps too, so we've slowed down a bit... as in lost I mean they just stopped coming for one reason or another. Sad really because I really miss them. ![]() One of our regulars from Canada (I think it was Canada?), anyway, she met a man on-line from Scotland and she met him in person and they got married and she moved to Scotland! She posted a couple of times after she moved away, but it was few and far between, and now we haven't heard from her in ages. Poddy Called her McAnt. Sweet girl from what I remember. ![]() Some of the other peeps moved away, and I guess their priorities changed and they fell off the boards. Sad because we all need this place ... our escape so to speak. Poddy calls this place "La La Land!" ![]() Hope Everyone has a Great TGIF! | BBW What a perfect gift for 'admin professional's day'! That's so nice that people at work know you so well! Yep, beautiful photo of Jason way way better than a bunch of dead flowers! LOL, we got beach towels with the hospital name on it this year! Oh well, actually that was kind of nice - useful at least!LOL, yes we were tearing up the thread with chattiness yesterday - very unusual. Like old times. A lot of people have gotten busy, or moved on, or found other passions. We had such a good gang and such interesting people! I miss PennyLaine- she was over in Indian/Sri Lanka filmmaking! How cool is that? Eloquent funny gal. sigh. That's life! ![]() Yes, I don't think I ever noticed men, in quite the same way, until I noticed Jason and then it was like waking up from a long long sleep - or is the expression 'the scales fell from my eyes'? ![]() And then I started to notice (and appreciate) beautiful men everywhere! LOL! Well, maybe not exactly everywhere... Hmmm, is that called becoming an oogy-lady? ![]() Yeh, well, I'm waiting for Jason in the next life at this point. Although not to say Mr ML isn't extremely hot himself! LOL! ![]() Oh it's true about dancers and their gnarly deformed feet. It's a battering profession. That's why you see the old dance masters hobbling around the studios with a cane! Ballet is the worst I think, with those cruel toe shoes for women. (Although I think high heels are nearly as bad!) I can't believe those women in Dancing with the Stars have to dance in such high heels!'Moonlight' tonight! I am so there! ![]() Wow, heard they are having SNOW in S. Dakota and Colorado way - Snow in May! And I thought it was chilly here! ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 05-02-2008 at 10:45 AM. | |||

| BBW,Wen,ML and Scottie if you show up tooBBW That was a thoughtful fun gift your coworkers gave you sounds like you have the goodfortune of having a "work family" rather than ppl you work with. It was nice to hear a little about you and once again it is lovely to have a new member of the fan family here to get to know and appreciate! Well even if your kitties are fighting they aren't bored and lonely ![]() Wen I'm thinking JBs wife wouldn't give him to you but if she had to give him up she'd want him to have somebody as sweet and fun as you for sure! Stupid SJ let a jem slip through his fingers it was fun kinda live chatting with you all!!!! | 'Moonlight' CBS at 9 pm. Fri. Too funny part of it took place on the Queen Mary and we visited that on our last LA trip, Maggie went and FL I'm pretty sure, and D'nile. I kept saying "I was there!" LOL! And they shot part of it with Beth visiting a studio - well of course it was Warner Bros lot (where they shoot ML) and we visited there too so I was saying "I was there too!" LOL! And it was about paparazzi and 15 min of fame and I'm sure Alex O'Loughlin is dealing with all that crazy stuff now so it was sort of art imitating life in a sly way. I don't know. It's weird now that Mick and Beth are sort of trying to have a romance - he hasn't dated a mortal girl since 1950s and well, dating a vampire is different! And of course the new soap opera guy's character is going to put the moves on her, and try to warn her that Mick is a shady character! Only 2 shows left - can't stand it! I miss it already! And don't even get me started on the sorry state of the(lack of) future of 'Blood Ties'. sigh! I so want that nice Kyle to be working again and make another season of that show.Mr ML had his monthly poker game with the guys so we were shut up in the living room (all 3 of us and the dog) from about 7:30 until 11 or so. Oh well, Mr ML needs his guy time. And he is pretty gorgeous! Smart, too.Well, he's getting grey and all that but how many guys his age still run and play basketball etc. I read that Stephenie Meyer, the woman who wrote the 4 'Twilight' books (and made a mint of money I assume) just tried her hand at a scifi story. Sounded very odd. Oy, Poddy with the car dying. You are so good to help with Jan and her family, they have a lot of troubles. LOL the ST thing - like Max and Michael in the blooper reel of Roswell! I miss Cheryl, Olderfan too. She went off to run a website for Orlando Bloom (plus being an attorney of course). sigh. I think Jason kind of liked her - she was a pretty southern blond gal and a strong woman. Hm, kind of like the one he married! ![]() TGIF! I typed a whole bunch of stuff this afternoon then hit some combination of keys and it went FOOMP and it was gone - and I went back into it, and I'd typed and saved and saved and typed, so I figured I only lost the last thing I was diong. Nope- NOTHING was on the disk! Everything I'd typed from lunch time for about 2 hrs - gone. I had printed it out and put it online, but I had to retype it all, so I'd have it to correct and print out for the boss. Boy did it get cold today and rainy! Okay, getting to be midnight, have to go to sleep! Gnite JOFs and JITs! ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| Poddy, You are so Sweet to say that I'm a gem! Thanks for that! I'm not used to getting such sweet compliments! You make me blush! You, on the other hand, are one Terrific Lady! You are so giving of your time and self, that you are practically a Saint! ![]() And sorry to hear about your battery dieing. Thank goodness you have AAA!Loved the ani's you posted! The kittens on the couch are adorable! And Yes, that pooch does remind me of my Teddi-Behr as he is such a big kid! LOL! And he's so sensitive too. Yesterday one of my neighbor's twins (just turned 2yrs old) was out side and he began to cry and everytime one of those babies cries, Teddi starts to cry too! He wails and cries right along with the babies! I have to comfort him and tell him it's alright, my big sensitive boy. And Yes, the Star Trek Bathroom scene... Just like Jason and Brendan! Too funny! I just love that bts of Jason and Brendan! Jason is Soooo Funny! Jason is so Gorgeous, Sweet, & Funny...Oh how I LOVE that MAN! And yes, you mentioned some of the peeps that used to be regulars here... sadly I miss them too, but I do hear from Sky occassionally. She's doing well, but is so busy being a MOM with her 2 beautiful girls. And living in Hong Kong is a very busy lifestyle too... her oldest is in School now, and her little one is into everything, so they sure keep her busy. And last time I heard from Liz was around Christmas time, as she was taking a little break from work to visit her family for the holidays. But I'm sure she's just working really hard and that's why we haven't heard from her. I really miss her too! ![]() Gosh, and PennyLaine, hasn't been heard from in quite a while. She went to work with FEMA (or something like that I think), trying to rebuild Sri Lanka, Plus she was doing a Documentary on the plight of how hard women have it there, but that's the last I heard which was about a year ago, maybe longer. And last I heard, Behrfanny moved away to be closer to her folks. I thought we'd hear from Kinsey by now with a little update since she moved, but I guess she's really busy with the new job and all. I really miss her too! ![]() MyrnaLynne, Sorry to hear that you lost all that work, but at least you had hard copy of it, but it sucked that you had to re-type it all. Computers are just NOT our friends sometimes. ![]() So Mr. ML, had his poker game eh? Seems like he just had one not too long ago! Has it been a month already?! Time sure flies! Well, I'll be taking MOTHER out today because she says she has Cabin Fever (because she hasn't been out in a couple of days). ;rolleyes: So there goes my day. I only got 2 hrs sleep last night, so I think I'm going to lay down and try and get a few more winks... Wish me luck! | LOL, I was wondering why we were getting gross ads for foot problems and calluses, but then I realized we were talking about dancers and their feet! This google-ad picking thing is just so strange, but it's kind of funny.Kinsey stopped by to say hey not that long ago and say she was relocating but haven't heard from her. Wasn't she going up to Atlanta? Another very lovely and sharp gal. Jason's fans are very special people! I think 'like attract like' and Jason is so wonderful a person and so are the fans who love him! Well, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. ![]() I think Rotties are very protective of children etc and Teddi is probably distressed to hear a baby in distress. Isn't there a children's book about a rottweiler who takes care of the family/children? LOL, a woman was learning to ride a bicycle in the park - I think they have a class or adult ed program for that and they use the park/path by us. So funny to see fairly mature adults all strapped up with helmets and knee and elbow pads wobbled and wiggling and wavering on bicycles, scared to death! I think it's very brave of them. Riding my bike was some of my happiest times as a kid! Anyway, there was just a solo student there today and she woobled and crashed over and fell off her bike, right near my dog - who of course immediately started to BARK at her! No sympathy whatsoever! He just doesn't like anything remotely threatening, strange, or out of the ordinary going on around him! You can almost hear him saying "Hey you - cut that out right now!" He really hates it when the high school kids get rambunctious and grab each other or jump on one another or whatever heading to school (or the teen boyfriend and girlfriends start slapping and shoving and grabbing at one another) - barks at them too. sigh. I wonder if he didn't live in an abusive home (well they dumped him at the animal shelter shoved into a tiny cage so, yeh, I suppose they were abusive). Oh well, he has a happy home now! ![]() ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| HELLO! ...... Well well....my ears should have been ringing because I haven't been here in forever and I'm a bit sick right (cold) now so I'm not doing much. I thought I would check out the old board and the first post I read my name is mentioned!!! Thanks for remembering me WEN . Now I'll have to go back a bit and find out what has been going on. And Wen your right sometimes life just gets in the way. And though I am sill a fan of Jasons and he's making a few movies here and there they might as well be non existent around here (back in Vancouver BC now..but still missing Scotland) as they get no exposure at all. Well going back to read a bit now..... | BehrAnt LOL, your ears must have been burning that we were just reminiscing about you/missing you! Nice to see you again! ![]() Some of Jason's movies are out on video - 'Tattooist' is just coming out on DVD now. I'm waiting for it to arrive! That's the way we get to see some of his things these days. ![]() Cold dreary rainy day here. Hat and mitten weather again! I bought 2 boxes of flowers (pansies and petunias - 12 of them) and stuck then out front today. It's so damp and drizzly, they'll settle right in (I hope), and lazy me won't have to water them yet! LOL! We went out for lunch at Texas Roadhouse - noisy and fast place - they get you in and out - but good if you like steak. And veggie MLette can have a salad or their side dishes. She likes their rolls and their tea etc. Getting my family to agree on a place to eat is a miracle in itself! It's simpler to stay home!Oh gosh, I rented 'No Country for Old Men' to see my hair-twin, Javier Badem, but I peeked in when Mr ML was watching it and right away he really violently strangles some guy to death and I said Oh-oh, NOT a movie for me! I watched some of the extra stuff, and even THAT was too violent for me! LOL! Mr ML and Mr ML Jr watched it and then we sent it back. I've never been a huge fan of the Coen Bros films (which I know puts me in the minority in the world of film fanatics). Mr ML didn't like it either - he said about 15 people die in it, dogs etc - everybody (almost) dies. Not a happy movie.Oh speaking of hair, I gave myself a haircut Thurs night - just couldn't stand it anymore and took the scissors to it. Of course Mr ML didn't even notice, and I got some dubious looks from MLette on Friday morning. But I got some compliments on it at work. But then Mr ML noticed it and he didn't like it at all - too short I guess or too choppy. Who knows? Or maybe just too different. I thought I did a terrific job of it (it could have come out much much worse!) Oh well... it'll grow! I'll get a professional job done again before I see my Blood ties guys in July - want to look nice in the pictures! ![]() Hmm, I think I already said those last 2 things - sorry if I'm repeating myself. | Pretty uneventful weekend so far. At least the rain finally stopped! ![]() OK, maybe the sun isn't quite shining out yet. Mr ML is itching to get to the basketball court. That one 80 degree day we had (before it plunged back to 40s and 50s) got everybody in the mood for summer! Oh, I was just reading an article about Israel's 60th anniversary and the 'mangal' barbecue/picnics to celebrate it - traced the way they celebrated Israel independence over the years - folk dancing - silly string and toy squeaky hammers you hit each other over the head with ![]() and then on to barbecuing meat on tiny grills and having picnics (not burger and hot dogs like our 4th of July exactly). Anyway, I thought it was interesting! VB told us about that and I'd never heard of it. Podmom CBS.com usually has the full episodes of 'Moonlight' to view online, at least the recent ones. Found a treasure trove of pix of young Kyle Schmid and movies he's been in since he was a wee little blond boy (nice woman Nancy has a screen cap site/archive thing). Just saw that he's signed for a new film 'Dead End' and starts work on it tomorrow/will work on it all of May! So happy that nice young actor-boy has work. (Too bad it's another scary thing I won't be able to see!) LOL, oh well those young people in Canada just keep getting lost in the woods and chased by homicidal ... whatevers! LOL! Guess he can pay the rent and buy dog food now. Dexter 2-hr season finale tonight. They have been showing a (relatively) cleaned-up version of it on CBS of the show from Showtime. It's still pretty grim (he's a serial killer and blood forensic expert for the police - a 'nice' serial killer, only kills other serial killers/really bad guys - sick show) . Julie Benz (Miss Topolsky) plays his girlfriend. (See, always a Jason connection!) ![]() I saw 'International Departures' is listed as Jason's latest project. Also still lists 'Pinkville' but I thought that wasn't happening anymore (Mai Li Vietnam movie). I don't think anybody wants to see any war movies right now - but maybe I'm wrong. __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| Hey JOFs! I hope everyone had a great weekend, I had a lot of fun! Friends of our's just bought a townhouse in Chincoteague, VA, so we drove down there Friday night and stayed the weekend with them. We even got to the beach on Saturday it was so warm. A little breezy, but we spent a good 3 hours on the beach just watching the waves, having a picnic and drinking a few Coors Lights! (But don't tell the rangers about that!) We got home last night and of course had to face the laundry pile and assorted other stuff that comes from being gone all weekend. I've caught up on the posts (whew!) and don't have time to comment much right now, but I'll give it a go! Podmom - thanks for saying that I was a good addition to the JOF family, that was sweet! I know there are lots of Behrians and Roswellians that I miss too, we used to have so much fun back in the day. But it's still a great group, by and large, and I'm so lucky to be a new part of this particular group. I think it was just about a year ago that I stumbled in here to tell you I'd been in your neck of the woods (PA at Longwood Gardens). I remember it was early May anyway. Wen - I've never heard of the Rottweiller "lean" that's so funny! Hazel simply will not give kisses, I don't know why. If you ask her for a kiss, she gooses you with her nose on your nose, and sometimes it hurts! LOL! She doesn't mean it to hurt, but she gets a little carried away. I tried to take her picture the other day and I kept telling her to "stay" so I could get far enough away to take the picture and just as I'd snap the picture she'd get up and ruin the shot. So I finally got a picture and now that I look at it, she looks PISSED! I've asked my hubby to download (or upload, whatever) it for me, hopefully he'll do so cuz it's a pretty funny picture. ML - I missed Moonlight, hopefully it dvr'd successfully, but thanks for the heads up about CBS showing the eps, that helps a lot. Too funny about Elmo barking at the bicycle accident woman, he's such a character. My husband didn't learn to ride a bicycle until he was an adult either, his father was a doctor and thought bicycles were dangerous weapons! So he wouldn't let his kids ride them. So Tim learned very late in life (relatively!), but loves to ride, he still rides a lot when he can. Congrats on your BT guy getting a job! I heard on the Pinkville thread that Vicki posted that Pinkville's back on track, hopefully that's true. Funny about the bad feet ads on the page, when I logged onto the thread and saw one of the ads was for sore heels, I knew immediately that you guys were discussing feet! ![]() Hey to BehrlyAntarian, good to meet you! __________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne | |||

| Scottie your time at Chincoteague sounds very nice (and Mums the word on the beers). One of my friends up here used to go down there every year to bird watch and see the ponies or whatever people do down there, friends would rent a cottage. It sounds like a really beautiful place, and there are those kids books about it, about the wild horses who live on the island and the roundup. Oh that's too bad your husband's dad thought bike riding was evil. But then again, Mr ML's uncle lived near a big sledding hill, and one of his kids had a sled accident and broke an arm or whatever - and he went into the garage and chopped up the sled! You don't want to see your kids get hurt but I think bicycle riding is a very fun thing to do, and good for your balance etc (and your thigh muscles - ahem). Although the people who are too into it, and think they are Lance Armstrong and wear the snooty spandex professional suits - - I think they look foolish. Helmet, good idea, Snooty French bicycle outfit - giggle!Laundry! You can never catch up. My kitchen would be half as messy if it weren't for all the baskets of laundry waiting to be done (dark, light, and cold water). Luckily MLette loves laundry and I finally got Mr ML Jr to FOLD things when he took them down and not crumple them into a ball and toss them into the basket! Boys!I heard that 'Iron Man' made $100 million the first weekend! Wow, that's a big opening. Maybe we'll go see it next weekend for Mother's Day. ![]() Wasn't thrilled about the topic of Pinkville, but thrilled Jason will be doing a 'big' movie with Bruce Willis! LOL, Mr ML and I were just talking about that (told him about Kyle's new job) - Is it better to be the star of a small/bad movie or to have a small role in a big movie - I said it's better to alternate/do both! Jason is pretty picky about what he likes to do though, he doesn't just do anything they offer him, I don't think. There are just the 4 'Twilight' novels, as far as I know, and now she's written something different. I'm not sure the 4th one has even come out yet. Or maybe they're out in hard cover and I'm waiting for paperback. I'm not sure if I'll like the film as much as the book, but - we'll see! ![]() Gah, Monday and Mr Boss just dropped yet another huge and annoying job on my head (that was overdue before he sent it, of course) and with no idea what I'm supposed to do with it, or what the requirements are for it... SIGH! Same old, same old with him! ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||
