Yes, Basketball can be Very harmful... my kids have come away from playing it with blackeyes, sore ribs, cuts & bruises, & even torn tendons! It's not a safe sport!

Yes, Mother's Day can be such a Happy Day for some and such a Sad Day for others, and it's true... Holidays really shouldn't make one feel bad.

I'm glad you are getting some progress done in your kitchen... but it must be hard on you having to do it all alone. I still think you need help with such a task to clean out an entire home!

I had a nice Mother's Day... No.2 son took MOTHER, Lainie, and I out to our favorite Italian Restaurant, and we enjoyed it very much.

Oh, I spoke with my Sis-in-law on Mother's Day and she filled me in on what went on at the Funeral and stuff.

Well, it turned out that Satan Jr. didn't see his name on the list for the FAMILY CAR, so he was put out, and when his Bro' waved to him to come on and get in the car, he waved him off and rode in his Mother's Car instead.

Then, (being the Sulker that he is), he wouldn't sit at the Family Table at the dinner after the Funeral, and sat at his Mother's Table instead. (What a big Baby!)

Satan Jr's wife didn't go to either the Wake nor the Funeral! She said that since she had gotten into a Huge Arguement with Satan Jr's father before he had gotten sick, and left on NOT SPEAKING TERMS with him, she felt that the family Hated her, and she felt uncomfortable and hated it there and wants to go back home! (hehehe!)

So, when she said that she wanted to go back home, that told me that Satan Jr had NOT sold his home in OR and was just planning for the Father to die and take the money and run back home, the sneak!

Well, here's the Topper!!! The Father Did Not Leave A Will after All!!! LOL!

And the house that he was living in, was half his sister's... so he did state from his Mother's existing WILL that if anything ever happened to him, that his 2nd Son, Wayne, (my Sis-in-Law's husband), was to get his portion of the house!!!

And he had a Military Funeral, and they handed the Flag Straight to Wayne, and NOT Satan Jr.!!! LOL!!!

Let's just say Satan Jr. who is 1st born, and his Father's Namesake was Fit to Be Tied!!!

I'm Loving this!!! LOL!

And, Satan Jr's father had bought a brand new car with CASH, but had put the car in Wayne's name right off the bat, so Wayne is KEEPING the car too!!!

But Wayne did say, that when the House Sells, he will split it between his 2 bro's and sister, but they shouldn't get much because the house is in poor repair, and it's only half of a portion of a house because his Aunt owns the other half.

Now, here's the kicker... The Father told Wayne: "If anything ever happens to me, then there are 4 boxes in the basement, one for each of you kids with your names on it, and you are to get them after I'm gone."

So Satan Jr, Wayne, and his other bro' and sister will be going down into the basement to get there boxes.

If I were Wayne, I would have gone before today to see what was in each box, but that's just me.

My Sis-in-Law said she believed that there would be money in those boxes since he didn't have a WILL. He was an odd duck, that's for sure.

And I called Teleflorist again this morning telling them that the flowers Never made it to the funeral either, and I wanted a Full Refund, so they were going to get back to me after they researched it to see what happened and what went wrong. They'd Better give me a Refund! Grrrr!!!

Hi Again, it's just me.

Sorry if I sounded mean about Satan Jr. It's just that he's sooo incredibly GREEDY, that I thought it was poetic justice that he wasn't getting IT ALL like HE thought he would.

You see, his Bro' Wayne has been there by the Father's side thru' thick and thin, and never left the City like Satan Jr did.

But Satan Jr was gone for 30 years and then comes running back just as his Dad is dying and expects to collect it ALL from his Dad's WILL.

Well, I'm just sooo HAPPY that Did Not Happen!

Satan Jr has Always gotten his way whether he played fair or not, and most of the time he did not! (He Royally Screwed Me Big Time, And has gotten away with murder!) Grrrr!!!

He has never been accountable for Anything! He's always gotten HIS WAY, his whole life, so it's good to see him FINALLY NOT getting his way!

I'm very curious to know what was in those boxes tho'! (You know, the one's that the Father had for all 4 kids?)

Ok, enough of that...

I heard back about my Pelvic Ultrasound... bottom line... inconclusive... couldn't get a good definitional picture. So now they are scheduling me for a Pelvic MRI. UGH! Will this Ever End?!

They said the Imaging Center should be calling me within a week to schedule it. Oh Joy!

I brought MOTHER home tonight.

She was ready to go home, and I was ready for her to go home too! When she stays for too many days, we get on each other's nerves... actually, she's gets more and more critical, and I get more and more annoyed!

Glad we had a nice Mother's day together tho'.

She only made two comments while at dinner that made us tell her to PLEASE BE QUIET!!! And she's like "What?! Oh Please! No one can hear me!" Right, she's hard of hearing so she talks Very Loudly!!!

I was checking EBay for Twilight things and I saw this... Official NECA Licenced Twilight Ed & Bella Bedding Set! It's coming out in June, but they are taking Pre-Orders now. It's a Full size I believe and they want $200!!!

They also have the Group of all the Cullens on a set of bedding too!

Also, NECA is coming out in June with individual small jewelry boxes in pewter with the pictures of 1. Alice, 2. Edward, 3. Jacob, 4. Edward & Bella, and a few more... also they are taking Pre-order on Ebay.

So if anyone is interested, there you go!

I've had a frustrating few days.....sometimes life is hard...no doubt about it

I have to do stuff plus visit my good friend in the hospital......hysterechtomy

we are gonna have an OC marathon at her house when she gets there....friends and fun best med.......off to the store for food for me and her.

VIvsbest friend is fighting for her life in hospital

praying she makes it...Viv is bereft.....friend since they were 12 ....she's even more sad plus doesn'twant to go back to my sisters

Are they nuts?! I was kind of interested in the authographed scripts they have - but there are so many, you know that most of them have to be fakes.

LOL, the pillowcase where they would put YOUR face next to Edward's face was hilarious!

If I had to sleep on a picture of myself, it would give me bad dreams!

Oh, there was a car accident at a school and this red truck killed a girl in the parking lot and Mr ML said "Gee, too bad she didn't have a vampire around to stop the truck and save her."

It was kind of creepily like Bella almost getting run over. Poor girl died.

I'm glad Satan Jr got his comuppance at the funeral - can't zip home at the last last minute after 30 years away and expect to be treated like the favorite son! And sounds like he acted like a sulky, moody spoiled Big Baby! LOL, I bet those boxes will have stuff like boy scout badges and school papers the dad saved and stupid stuff like that. I can't imagine he has boxes of gold bars down in the basement.
I can't believe people still die without having any will! So stupid and thoughtless (and generally, superstitious too). We had a neighbor, single mom who lived with her folks and her son - folks died, had no will, would have wanted the daughter to keep the house, but without a will, it had to be sold and the money divided up between the kids. If you don't decide, somebody else (government/court) will decide for you.

It's simple when you have 2 kids - just divide it 50/50.

They should definitely give you your money back for the funeral flowers that never arrived (LOL! Now the ads at the top of the page are about ordering funeral flowers).

Wow, surprise ending to 'House' - another 'it was all a dream' (only in this case, it was all a drug-induced hallucination). We are liking that show less and less; I hope they cancel it soon, so Hugh Laurie can relax and enjoy his $ from all his hard work.

'Castle' was awesome as usual and a tiny 'cliff hanger' ending - I hope they have another season! I haven't seen one word written about the show so I'm worried.

EEK - silverfish/centipede just crawled across my desk at work!

I'm up on the the top/9th floor of this building, it's not like I'm down in some creepy buggy basement. YUK! I HATE those things - they give me the willies!

Wearing my purple Mother's Day necklace today - it's very attractive. I keep admiring it. I think they made it out of leftover pieces of seashell, after they used the shells to make buttons - that's my theory, anyway.

Gosh, did you hear about the sofas made in China that killed people/gave them cancer?! I guess they went overboard with putting mold-repellant into the stuffing - enough to cause them to be toxic.

First they poison cats and dogs, then their own children, now killing people with killer couches! What next?

Oh well, better get back at it - whole next issue just arrived for final proofreading/checking over! Woo....

Phew! Issue done and corrections sent off (20 pages of them - which is about usual).

I just found out that the second convention that the Blood ties guys/Kyle Schmid was going to be at, FrightCon, in Bonn, Germany was cancelled because not enough people signed up for it (another victim of the world economy) - and the people who did sign up/his fans in Europe, were really really disappointed. Glad I didn't decide to take a trip to Germany!! Although there is another convention, RingCon, going on, and I guess they are going to show up for that instead, int he fall (maybe). Those actor appearances are always maybe - and if work shows up, they don't come! Glad I saw them down in Florida, because all the other chances to meet them have fallen though!

Good News!!! They (TeleFlorist) gave me my Full Refund INSTANTLY without any hassle!

I called them this morning and explained again what had happened, and they had it all in their notes and they appologized all over the place, and said that they had hoped I would still use them in the future, as they noticed that I was a 1st timer with their Company. I told them that I would honestly have to think about it... it depended on if they were going to use that same Florist!

And they said they quite understood, but would give me a 20% discount for my next future order. (Sorry, but I doubt I'd be using them again, discount or not!)

The whole place is Empty!!!

Now if we need anything, we have to go to Sacramento, (an hour away!) Not happy about that!

I'm hoping that my Sis-in-Law calls me tonight. She usually calls me after she drops her son off at work on Tuesday nights, and talks to me on her way home.

I really want to know what was in Satan Jr's box!!! The suspense is killing me!

If she doesn't call me tonight, then maybe I'll call her on her lunch hour at work tomorrow? I'd hate to be a haunt tho'. I just Really want to know tho'!

We must have been posting at the same time yesterday Poddy. Viv's friend sounds like my best friend in Florida - we met the summer after 6th grade/before we went to Jr High together! Poor Viv, that must be horribly sad. That's what Mr ML's Aunt Millie said too (she's 80-something), the hard thing is having your friends pass away as the years go by. sigh.

Hope the hyster sister is okay - OC festival sounds like fun.

Wow, that's terrible Wen your car dealer is gone/out of business! Scary economic times, that's for sure.

My son's friend had a Buick or something like that, and when the car dealer closed up - he got a different car! That whole road used to be all car dealers, and now there's just a single one left (Hyundai and Chevy).

My friend says the same thing "I could never do your job" and I say the same thing to her - I guess we do the jobs we are good at! I could never do my accountant friend's job - I don't even have a glimmer of what her job involves!

LOL, the 20 pages were just the ones with corrections - the issue was about 100 pages long. But I didn't have to read the whole thing closely - I read each article closely when it's first typeset, and when they put them together, I just check that they did all the corrections right and didn't make any other new mistakes. It's reading them the first time that's tough, as you have to check every tiny little thing very carefully, or those typesetters/editors in India will stick in something absolutely idiotic!

Great news you got the $ back, Wen from the florist - funny they are hoping they didn't lose your business, after screwing things up that badly!

You are so funny, wondering what was in the boxes from the ex-father in law. I hope Satan Jr's was filled with lumps of coal!

Mr ML bought me a Star Trek glass at Burger King yesterday - but he got me the one with the bad guy on it!

This is a perfect example of male cluelessness - why would I want a glass with the villain? Even if it was Eric Bana, it didn't look like him with the shaved head, pointy ears, tattoos, etc. Oh well, it was nice anyway - I gave him some money and sent him back to get me Spock or Kirk glasses next time. Interesting, he said the Kirk ones are sold out - so I guess Kirk is as popular as ever/popular again! I saw the actor, Chris Pine, is on the cover of Men's Health or one of those magazines. Always liked Mr Spock better, myself.

Maybe because all the Vulcans were Jewish.

My friend in Switzerland, who came to Boston to see the guys from 'Blood Ties' and then that convention got cancelled (it was too late so she came anyway), was all set to go to Germany and see them - she has a website for Kyle Schmid and everything, so she was pretty crushed that she missed him again. I was relieved I decided no way I would go, after losing my money for the last convention. No way will I ever see that money again. sigh.

Oh crap, just kill me now - Mr Boss just called and is bringing over the new Evil Chapter!

I hadn't heard anything about it, so I was hoping he'd forgotten/it had magically gone away. No such luck... oh man, I hate this. This chapter has like 1,000 references and he's going to want me to sort them out. And how can I say no, without p*ssing off my other boss (his wife).

We had a disaster of a convention organised over here for Roswell. Everything fell through. One lady had come out here all the way from Texas and believe me she was NOT a happy camper. It's tough when you buy the ticket and then the thing falls apart.

That's terrible mezz! And usually the people responsible get off without every paying anybody back or getting in trouble for their poor planning.

Phew, Mr Dr Boss just left - it wasn't as horrible as I'd imagined (but he drives me absolutely up the wall, plus makes me totally nervous being here). He gave me references 1-10, and 23-36 to type up - because he misplaced the page with 11-22 on it!

So - this is how it starts! He says he's going to pay me extra to do this stuff (for all the aggravation) but I know that's never going to happen either (and there isn't enough money in the world...)

He asked me how the best way to worth on this was and I said not to bring me any more bits and pieces of it until he has it ALL DONE, so I can have it ALL in front of me, and just work on it ONCE! SIGH You would think that was obvious. But Mrs Boss is the same way - terrible piecemeal worker - thinks it's efficient to give me a few pages at a time as she's doing something, and then she revised and revised and adds and it's a bloody nightmare! Just write the whole thing, let me work on it when it's done, then revise the whole thing, but nooooo....

Mr ML got me the Spock glass yesterday, so all is forgiven! Weird though, it has a giant wrinkly face of Old, 78-year-old Spock, and a little figure of young cute Spoke so you can barely see him.

I think it would have been better reversed! He said the Kirk ones are gone, and I don't really care if I get a glass with Uhura on it or not.

Mr ML got a temporary fake tooth, too - it's bizarre, has like a giant plate that goes on the roof of his mouth to hold it in there and annoys the heck out of him, he feels like he can't talk right, couldn't wear it to eat dinner... sigh. Oh this is going to be terrific. And he went back and played basketball, after losing the tooth, and somebody slammed into and injured his shoulder!! So now he's reluctantly saying he's going to give up basketball. I told him we're getting that mortgage and he can't get himself disabled and out of work doing stupid basketball, because he needs to keep working for another 10 years (or preferably, forever).

I know it's mean, but facts are facts. Hobbies are fine, until they start putting you in the hospital and sending you to the dentist.

Family watched 'Lost' finale; I read more of that Edward POV 'Twilight' fanfic! That thing is so long. I've only read maybe 6 chapters so far (I think there's like 12 or 15 of them). Stephenie Meyer doesn't have to rewrite Breaking Dawn, because this person has done an excellent job of it already.

I guess the New Moon cast is off to Italy now, to shoot exteriors. And then I think they are going to plunge right into making Eclipse as soon as New Moon wraps - so they don't get any older!

MyrnaLynne, I guess you probably wouldn't want to do my job either... drawing blood, assisting with minor surgeries and sigs, giving shots, performing Urine analysis, and the list goes on forever plus all the paperwork involved too! Busy, busy job, but I LOVED it! (sigh)

Anyway, I am so sorry that Mr. Boss has another Evil Chapter for you!

I hope it doesn't keep coming back like the other one!

Hopefully once it's done, it's done!

Well, I called my SIL on her lunch hour and I could tell she was Very uncomfortable about my question about how much money did Satan Jr. get? And this is what she said basically... "I'm just staying out of it. It's between the 4 of them. Yes, there was money, but I told my husband that I didn't even want to know how much there was, but he also left important papers concerning the house, and stuff like that. I'm just staying out of it, so I really can't tell you anything, because I don't know."

In other words, her husband told her Not to tell me anything, and she's did exactly that.

I know it wasn't any of my business, but once again, Satan Jr. gets away with murder... He gets Free money and is not accountable for anything. He doesn't have to claim it because it was cash. (sigh)

And once the house is sold, he'll get a portion of that, of which he'll have to claim, but I'm sure it won't be much. Nothing compaired to the cash considering that my FIL was worth well over a couple of million, maybe even more. (sigh)

And I know Satan Jr. will not share any of it with his children, and they could Really use it! (sigh) He didn't even bother to call them to tell them that their grandfather passed away! I wouldn't have known at all if it weren't for my SIL calling me to tell me.

And Once again, he comes out, smelling like a Rose. (sigh)

I was so angry with myself last night because I fell asleep the last 20 mins of the Season Finale of LOST and woke up at 11:15! Grrrr!!! I was sooo tired, and I always put the commercials on mute, while waiting for the show to come back on and I must have closed my eyes for what I thought was a minute, and next thing I knew, it was 11:15!

So I missed the good stuff!

I'll have to watch it on line now, just to see the last 20 mins! Grrr!!!

And that was it, I was up for the Rest of the Night! UGH! I hate this insomnia! (sigh)

I spoke to my No.1 son last night... He thinks his little Pug Molly might be pregnant, thanks to his little Pug Bandit. Molly is Black, and Bandit is Buff colored and they both are so darn cute. He said that they'll be taking Molly to the Dr. in a couple of weeks to see for sure.

Lainie wants one of the pups if she is, but No. 2 son doesn't want any more dogs, so they are at odds about it. (sigh) I'm just going to leave the decision up to them as I'm staying out of it because I don't want them saying that I'm taking sides.

Kids! No matter how old they get, they still act like Kids!

I got a call from my Dr's nurse yesterday to cancel my appt that I had for tomorrow. Seems that my Dr. had Knee Surgery after all. Poor guy! So my appt has been moved to June 8th instead.

They won't be able to keep him out of the office... he's just can't stay still!

He has an unfixed male and female Pug in the house, and he didn't realize she would get pregnant?

Puppies are very cute, but not a very good idea. Don't they have trouble delivering too, because of their big heads/tiny bodies? Or am I thinking of another breed?

Anyway, congrats on the potential puppies, and I think Lainie should get to keep one! And then he should get them both fixed!!

Well, of course Satan Jr wouldn't want you knowing his business - although you already know your kids will never see a penny of it (or anything of him either). I'm sorry you had such a lousy husband, Wen and I'm glad you are rid of him. Karma is a b**ch and eventually it will come around and bite him on the a**, sooner or later!

It's too bad you had to leave your job, because I'm sure you were good at it and the patients appreciated all you did for them, and the doctors too.

I don't mind doing the work for Mr Dr; it's what I do. I just really mind wasting my time when it's totally unnecessary. Why did he have to come all the way over here and up to my office, just to give me 3 pieces of paper? His wife could have left it in my work-bin with a note asking me to type them up for him just as easily. sigh. And having to re-do that other chapter 2 or 3 times over, because he didn't give me the instructions and did it all wrong - that was a killer too.

I hate doing stuff over and over again, when I could do it right the first time, with just a bit more information. Sorry... cranky today.

Must be very cranky stars, because two of my friends are having terrible days too at work! Must be bad planets for Aries gals today.

sometimes things pile up....the bigger reason is I haven't been having my time in the word and prayer and I don't do well without that. Hard to make time for myself with the Vivster...it's not her fault....I just feel bad when I leave her which I have to do for stuff.....we are doing well though...figuring out how to live together...takes communication/willingness to learn and grow....and she is...which is remarkable for someone her age....power of prayer .... from us both

They gave Jacob a better wig for 'New Moon' with a barette (giggle) so it isn't always blowing in his face/mouth when he tries to talk.

There really is something very movie-star-ish about Rob P - he's just so handsome and exotic looking and the camera loves him. Out of a cast of a lot of very attractive young people, he really stands out from the group! ZOr maybe it just has to do with being Edward Cullen.

Old age is a very scary prospect. I was reading through a catalog of Alzheimer-related products from MLette's conference, and it just gave me the willies!

Sorry, way too much reality! Lalalala... A friend put a bunch of the ST party photos into Photobucket, but when I tried to copy them, so I could show you the nifty 'Black Hole cake' she made and me with my 2 pals - turns out they are ungrabbable! No fair!

The amazing thing was how everybody was pretty much exactly the same after 25 years, just a lot older. People really don't change.

That big transplant conference is coming to Boston and the publisher was supposed to organize a get-together for all the editors who are coming (and me) -I reminded her yesterday that it was coming up in a couple of week - oops! What meeting? sigh.

I'm hoping we can meet someplace and have (a free) lunch.

I haven't even met a couple of the people (they are all over the country/world) and it's nice to have a face with the name and at least say hello to one another! Hope it happens!

Yes, I saw that Jacob got a new wig, and I believe he likes it much better too! I'm pretty sure that's what he said in his interview on ET.

And Yes, ITA, Rob does have that Star Quality and has the looks. But sometimes he doesn't take the best pictures... like this one with his Mum and Dad at his 23rd BDay party...

His Mum is sooo young looking! Don't you think?

But when he does take good pics, Damn they are Good!!!

I hope you do get to meet with the Editors from the Big Conference, and that a Luncheon or Something is planned after all. That would be terrible if nothing was done.

And yes, I'm waiting for Karma to Get Satan Jr. BIG TIME!!! But it's not happening fast enough for me! But I guess just knowing that he will get it sooner or later does make me happy.

Poddy, I'm sorry Big Viv is cutting into "Your Time", and I REALLY know how that is.

MOTHER cuts into MY TIME all the time too, and it bothers me too, but then she puts me on a guilt trip and I feel bad as she gets me thinking how long will I really have her here on Earth? (sigh) Then I lighten up, and give her, her way... It's a vicious cycle. (sigh)

Makes me think of that movie 'Only The Lonely' with John Candy, how he was always thinking of terrible things happening to his mother, and she always put him on a guilt trip and he Always gave in to her. (sigh)

Ok, enough about that!

I Just noticed the Ad on the bottom of the page... It's for Teleflora! That's the one I used that screwed up my flowers for the Funeral so badly!!! Warning... think twice before using them! Altho', they did give me a Full Refund, so that was something!

? That's Rob's folks? They don't look like the people who were (dancign) in the audience on Ellen. I think he looks like his dad (at least the nose). Yes, he looks demon-possessed in that photo! LOL!

Well, if these mothers kill you guys with overwork and stress (and guilt), then they may not have you around that long instead - did they ever consider that one? Just teasing - you both are rocks with your difficult/old/sick parents.

Funny we were just talking about Hugh Jackman, and now Rob Pattinson is going to be in a movie with him called 'Unbound Captives' - something about people being kidnapped by Indians?

and playing the son (not sure if Hugh's son or not). Way cool!

LOL, I see why the guys are all jealous of Rob - Peter Fancinelli said most of the fans who come up to him say "Do you know Rob Pattinson? sigh" LOL!

You know who would have been good as Dr Cullen, when he was young - Richard Chamberlain. Now there was a doctor (Dr Kildare) with movie-star good looks!
