Hi Everyone!

MyrnaLynne, Actually I don't know how my Dr hurt his knee This time, but he's a tennis player and a golf player, but actually originally hurt it in H.S. while playing football, and it's plagued him ever since, poor guy!

Last time he hurt it, he was just fooling around in the back yard with his kids and the dog, and fell and landed the wrong way and tore his knee up pretty bad. Bad enough to have to have surgery!

And he's the type of guy that you just can't keep down! Here he was suppose to be at home resting just days after surgery, and here he came into the office, (hobbling I might add), just to check his mail!

Everyone yelled at him that saw him in there that day, and he finally said: "FINE! I know when I'm not wanted!" He was joking of course, and was laughing, but if no one would have said anything, he would have stayed and tried to work!

That's just how he is, so he must be going stir CrAzY having to lay low at home and staying off that leg. He must be driving his poor wife CrAzY in the mean time too! I'm sure she's practically had to threatened to sit on him to keep him down! LOL!

Oh, and I really don't know the fate of KaDee on the show, because the last scene you see is her calling her BF while crying and telling him that she needs him because she got fired! So, I don't know if she'll be back next Season or not? It's a mystery.

And Yes, talk about Double Wammy! I was NOT expecting Both the External AND Internal Ultra Sounds!

Well, at least the tech let me empty my bladder after she finished with the External US, and then she did the Internal US.

I was in agony with my bladder full, and having to lie there. My kidneys were killing me, as well as my bad back too, and it was hard not to leak with such a full bladder!

Like I said before, I am so glad that's all behind me! Whew!

I went to my LAST PT appt today! And Heather, my reg. gal put me thru' the wringer!!! UGH! Thank goodness for my TENS unit and ICE!!!

Heather tried to talk me into MORE PT, but I declined gracefully. And then she said that my Dr will probably sign me up for more PT after I have the Spinal Nerve Burning Surgery.

Aaaahhhhh!!!!! Noooooo!!!!! I didn't want to hear that!!! I just smiled at her, and didn't say anything while I SCREAMED in my MIND!

Well, I got a call from my favorite Sis-in-law, (Satan Jr's Bro's wife), and she told me that Satan Jr.'s Dad passed away tonight.

That kind of took me by surprise, but after she explained what happened, then I understood.

He died from Pneumonia and went rather quickly. He couldn't fight off the infection because the Chemo had destroyed his immune system, so his body couldn't fight the infection and it was just a matter of days after the pneumonia set in.

I felt bad, even tho' he was a tough SOB. And I felt bad, especially for her husband, who has been there right along for the father, where as Satan Jr. just showed up after being away 30 years!

So, now Satan Jr. and his 2 bro's and 1 sis have to go to the Funeral Parlor tomorrow, (actually today), and make the final arrangements. Well, the father had just about everything taken care of, it's just those last minor details have to be delt with.

I spent the night tonight on line picking out flowers for the funeral. I think I picked out a very pretty spray, which the family should be happy with.

But I noticed, most of the spays were full of pink and pastel flowers with pink and pastel bows! That just would Never do! But I did finally find a nice spray after all and it comes on an easel, so it looks really nice.

Well, after Emailing my Bro' about Mother's Day, and NOT getting any response from him for 2 weeks now, he FINALLY answered me today.

(He Makes Me CrAzY when he does this!)

Anyway, he has decided, since his daughter Shannon is in a Play at 2pm on Mother's Day, that he's coming down to see MOTHER on Saturday, and can ONLY stay from 1pm until 4pm which during that time, he and his family will take MOTHER out to lunch for an early Mother's Day.

Then he said, "So, you can do what you'd like with MOTHER on Sunday."

Nice!

He leaves me up in the air for weeks and then he tells me this! Grrrr!!!

I can't hardly even speak, I'm so angry with him!!!

Of course it's too late to make reservations now, so we, (my family and I), will have to take MOTHER out to a Very Early Dinner so we will be able to even get a seat in the Restaurant!

I was going to make reservations but the last time I did that, he had a FIT and didn't want to go to that restaurant, and it was all a big mess, even tho' that was the restaurant that MOTHER had chosen!

UGH!!! He makes me so insane sometimes!!!

Well, since my No.1 son works Sundays, he was planning to come over and visit with me on Saturday, and I am NOT changing my plans with my son because of my Brother! Grrr!!!

I feel bad for not being able to see my nieces and nephew, but it's unavoidable.

Geesh, I've been a ranty one tonight, haven't I?! Sorry about that!

Oh, on my Cable's On Demand, they have a preview of Rob's Movie "How to Be" on it. I don't know if I'd like to see it. He did say it was funny in his interview, but still, I'm not quite sure if I'd like to see it.

**** I just read an interview with Rob and he said he Only Sleeps about 3 hrs a night! Poor thing, I know Exactly how that is! ****

Poddy, Mezzi, & Vero!

Since I can't sleep, I'm doing laundry, so I have to go check it...

Hope Everyone has a Great Day!

Biggest Hugs,
Wen

Oh poor Rob being an insomniac too! Love that photo of him with his hand on his hair. Yes, he runs himself down terribly in interviews and says bizarre stuff - but he is very charming anyway. I don't know what there is about him - being Edward Cullen, most likely. Although the whole intelligent artsy British thing is very nice too. You can really get sucked into YouTube, watching all the fun Rob stuff, Taylor stuff, Twilight making stuff, interviews etc. It's like falling down the rabbit hole.

LOL, I don't know how I found that fanfic - I clicked on one of those blue words (Twilight) and ended up there. Just looked now and couldn't find it again - sorry.

Had the knee doctor first thing in the morning. POURING rain to walk the dog in before that, he got soaked. Knee doctor jabbed me with the (excruciatingly painful) shot and told me he's going to a different practice/won't be there. I wasn't too sorry - I really didn't like him very much. Young, breezy, and totally uninterested in me or my knee. I wanted to talk to him about my knee and he comes in, says "Knee? shot?" whisks out, comes back with the shot and, boom, he's done with you/sending you on the way. sigh. I know at some point I'll need to get a knee replacement, but not only can't I figure out how I'd take 6-9 weeks off work to recover (maybe I could work from home), but I live in the 2nd and 3rd floor and I wouldn't even be able to get into my house or out again, after the surgery. Maybe I could go stay with my dad in his ground-floor/1 floor condo in Florida. sigh. I don't know. Can't wrap my brain around it.

Instead of going to work right after, and my knee hurting and stiffening up etc, and hobbling around, I went home this time and laid down and put ice on it and watched the Travel Channel and napped! Saw the new Kirk guy, Chris Pine, on Ellen. His dad was on Chips (the not-good-looking one) - he must look like his mother! He comes from a long line of actors. Seemed pleasant enough. Hope the movie is good.

But then I had to get up and take the dog out - downside of being home to 'rest'! Also have scrubbed the toilet and updated my virus protection on my computer so at least I did a couple of things today. Feeling like going back to the sofa and the TV and the ice pack though.

And I scheduled the next shot (3 months) for end of day this time, instead of first thing, so I can work, leave early and go get the shot, and then go home and put my feet up! Made a lot more sense, surprised it took me this long to think of doing of that!

Glad the PT is over with Wen - our doctor sounds like my Mrs Boss -she can't stay away from the office and is like the little energizer bunny about working. She hates to go on vacation and be away from her patients.

Sorry Podmom and Wen for your brother's being so aggravating/not helpful! That's lousy your brother couldn't have told you his plans in time for you to make your own plans, Wen. We don't have any plans for Mother's Day yet either! I assume I will get some nice cards from my kids, but aside from that - don't know.

Guess I should go do something useful while I'm home today - or else go back to sleep! LOL!

Well, the sold sticker has finally been put up on the for sale sign. Things are very sure now. House is sold. Kind of exciting and sad and all at the same time. Will go to some open houses this Saturday.

Poddy, how selfish was your brother !!!!! You give him a good talking to. He needs it. It's such a guy thing to assume that the others will do everything while they just do what suits them.

ML, a friend of mine and her husband both had 2 knee replacements each and they have a few steps up to their house. I'll ask them what they did. And I'm sure you'd be able to do your editing from home if the stuff is emailed through.

Oh thanks! That story was wonderful. Better than the one I read (Carlisle wants family group therapy) and then I only could find the first part (and there were like 17 chapter).

wow mezz it sold already ,that was fast....good to have it over...poignant to say goodbye though Yes I was mad.....we'll see if I can talk to him effectively sometime

ML it looks like a pretty good site. I was dissapointed a bit in the story(it's no midnight sun ) then I skipped to the bedroon scene but now I'll finish it because you liked it

on the rainy road again....after cleaning up and running more OC errands. Viv is depressed(doesn't know why....that is happening alot lately.....mostly coming to grips with reality...she fought that off for a long time) Emily is way stressed and had a tearful conversation last night besides the big test the new appt they rented(they didn't sign their lease on this place) fell through...was sold.....she wanted to stay where she was but the 2 roomates...well really only the one pushy one....wanted out so she found the new place....she's the most responsible.....and the big thing is she is unsure if this guy is the one but she really likes him alot......and feels the need to get on with it(she is way stressed cause she is 23 overreacting)sigh.....hard to not be able to really help(she doesn't want us to come down and help with appt hunting.....it would destract from studies........praying she passes this test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok see you guys from PA Wen

Mezz wasn't ignoring you, we must have posted at the same time! Sorry/glad the house is sold and things can move along. It must be very hard. My folks moved a whole lot when I was growing up, and leaving a place you liked/were used to was always very hard. I guess that's why I've stayed put so long where I am! But I'm also very ready for a new place - I guess that's why I watch those house-hunting shows on TV with such fascination!

I could probably work out the working from home, with a computer upgrade, on the journal stuff, but Mrs Boss's stuff would be problematic, as I go pick it up and deliver it to her office.

We have several steps just to get up to the porch - then about 12-15 steps to the 2nd floor and same to the top floor (bedrooms)! Was wondering if I could scoot up on my bum backwards or something. I've found going up with hands and feet (like the dog) works pretty well when the knee is bum too. I don't mind improvising/looking ridiculous!

When a lady at our temple was dying of breast cancer, they had a similar house full of stairs, and put in one of those stair lift things, but I imagine they are fabu expensive (and also ugly). Oh well, hoping I can put it off as long as possible. Right now the shot is kicking in and feeling a lot finer today (although it hurt all day yesterday.) Too bad it's only a temporary fix, and also, I think it damages the cartilages etc inside there, so if you do it too much, it makes it worse in the long run. I don't know about this stuff. Seems everybody is falling apart at this age, though. Seems like the previous generation was built of studier stuff!

Was thinking that's why I've been having all the interesting dreams lately, because my knee was waking me up every time I turned over and straightened my leg out. Had a dream about a little pond down a road in the woods - and giant whales were in there! Dreams are so strange.

Sorry Viv is depressed - being old and sick is depressing! Oh and poor Em, life is just SO overwhelming at 23 (huh, Rob's age - poor Rob). Tell her there's no great rush, about apartments, husbands, or anything! Although it's true she is at the prime meeting/marrying age. I think as time goes by, it gets more difficult to meet anybody. Worry for my kids, esp Mr ML Jr. That whole dealing with roommate/finding apartment stuff after college was definitely no fun at all. Much nicer living with somebody you love and are willing to put up with their stuff, and vice versa!

Did I miss something? I didn't get to any bedroom scene in that story, they were just going off to hunt, at the end, I think. I liked the writing from Edward's point of view. I like Carlisle so much too, he is just such a decent person. All those characters are so well drawn by Stephenie Meyer, they really live, Esme so sweet and motherly, but also designing buildings! Well, only Rosalie doesn't really have much to redeem her, but I guess you have to have one prickly disagreeable person (to make it like real life!) LOL!

Moved a bookcase (I'd mostly emptied), and boxed up the books, and cleaned out a hideously filthy dusty corner (allergic to dust), put the bookcase upstairs, going to put shoes and purses on it maybe. Mr ML and I built this bookcase together before we were married; it's wide enough to hold a fishtank on top and tons of books underneath - downside is, if fish tank leaks, ruins all your books!

Anyway, totally sweaty and exhausted and hope I didn't hurt anything. Feeling frisky with my knee working again! Hope I didn't overdo it.

Guys are watching the Supernatural finale. Mr ML rented the Wrestler and was horrified by it/didn't like it, and said it was a terrible movie and returned it. LOL, what did he expect? He rents these things and has no clue what they're about.

Warmed up again - went from 45 this morning to 60ish. And rained again. I want to put away my winter clothes, but it keeps being cold!

Oh, I went back and found out how you pull down the menu to get the rest of the story! It goes on and on! I thought it ended with chapter one. D'oh

Hi Everyone!

Sorry for being MIA. Having MOTHER duty again. (sigh) This time she let her sugar drop to 39! Almost put herself in a COMA!!! So, I've been staying with her. (sigh)

Thanks for the link to the Edwards POV story... I'll be reading it soon.

Sorry to hear about your Painful Shot MyrnaLynne. Glad it's feeling better now, but OUCH!!! The Shot itself and then the 1st day of being in so much pain... ... my heart goes out to you!

And sorry Poddy that Big Viv is feeling depressed. Maybe she should talk to her Dr about going on some anti-depressants. They do help! It's terrible to feel depressed and maybe her outlook on life might change for the better and she might not be so negative all the time? It's just a thought.

And I'm sorry that Emily is having a bad emotional time right now, poor thing. I hope things work out for her and she can be happy again.

How are Liz & Walter doing? Both doing well I hope! And I hope Liz's morning sickness is almost all over with too!

Mezzi, Yes, I can imagine with the 'Sold Sign' being put on the 'For Sale Sign' actually made it REAL now. And yes, I'm can imagine it is bittersweet for you.

Good Luck house hunting, which can be kind of exciting too!

Well, our weather has gone back to the high 70's, low 80's, and Sunny again this week. Where as all of last week, and the week before, it was cold and rainy. Go figure!

I hope everyone has a Great Friday!

Hugs to All,
Wen

You know, I just watched this wonderful British show called, 'Midsummer Murders'. It's just come back on Friday nights. And the first guy that was killed (he was a womaniser and thief) was actually Orlando Bloom. Small bit part and they didn't even mention that he was in it in the ads for it. I thought he was a good looking lad, and it's Orlando Bloom So British to simply down play it.
