Happy 4th of July Everyone!

Poddy, I think you have MyrnaLynne's 'Blood Ties' mixed up with HBO's 'True Blood' which is nothing more than Vampire Porn if you ask me!

They are NOTHING alike, as MyrnaLynne explained.

And yes, I guess I am a people person, just can't take crowds, that's all.

I really miss my patients something awful tho'! I miss working!

That's something that you still keep in touch with Liz's ex-boyfriends.

And yes, I guess I understand that it would feel awkward too.

What is Liz's due date btw? You never really said.

Have a Wonderful 4th!

MyrnaLynne, WoW!... Mr. ML was gone for a Really long time... 3 Hours! I would have been worried too!

And I'm so sorry about your legs... I feel for you! And your poor knee too! And you have to wait a whole month before you can get another shot when it's hurting you so badly now! You poor thing!

You definitely need Dr. Max! If only, eh? (sigh)

Speaking of Jason... there's an awful lot of talk about 'The Company Man' might possibly be actually picked up after all for 2010! Wouldn't that be WONDERFUL!!! I so hope it's true! I think it would be a big hit, since there aren't many shows like that on TV right now, except for '24', wouldn't you think? Jason needs a nice break and this show just might do it for him!

And yes, the gals at the OT Thread are wonderful about keeping us up to date on Rob and even Jason too, Bless them!!! What diligence on their part that we benefit too!

I hope you and your family have a Wonderful 4th, no matter how you plan to celebrate today!

Biggest Hugs to All,
Wen

Happy 4th of July to all my American gals over here!

Thank God the week is over. I had a very hard week moving and working from Monday to Saturday. Today i woke up at 4am cos i had to work for the underground and the way to work is longer than during the rest of the week. I had a very awful day with rude customers; specially with these teenagers who have no manners at all...what a shame! My thinking was to finally make it home, have a shower, watch the new episode of "The Guardian" and post here...btw, the Five USA channel here is having a re-run of the last 3 episodes of "The Mentalist" and i'm watching...AGAIN!

The weather here haven't been today as hot as the last few days...but i still have a fan on all time in my room. Hope tomorrow won't be very hot as i'm starting the gym again...i'm going to try to do 2 hrs of work out....God help me...hehe.

Just wanted to share some pics:

Me and my friend Orlando in Brighton for his b-day

Me at the Kerrang rock awards

With Charli & Orlando

Wen reading what you said about your mom being phobic of frogs, i can understand her perfectly...i hate those things...they're repulsived!!!!gggrrrr
Where did you read that "Company Man" could be picked after all?...i've watched a clip Sirio posted in another thread and it looks very good...Jason looks very good as well...lol....

ML I hope the accident in your bathroom wasn't a big deal even i know you put your fingers on the socket....ouch hun...how are you feeling?.
Wow. you got me so curious about "Blood ties"...there's a site where i'm going to watch it....the same i download "The Mentalist" from...it's www.tv-links.eu/tv-shows. I found they have "Melrose Place" as well and i watched a couple of episodes...i remember i loved that show when i was like 15...what a memories.
In defense of the original novels of Sookie Stackhouse ("True Blood" is based in these novels) i have to say that the show has some things from the novels but the writers have changed almost more than 70% of what Charlaine Harris wrote. The novels are amazing....yeah, there's sex but not what the show is almost all about.

Poddy Thanks hun...i'm enjoying the new plasma tv a lot!!!!I love when you tell us about your daily routine in The OC....sounds like a dream!
Btw, i'm happy you're getting interested in Simon Baker....he's like my dream man...except for the wife and the kids....but i love when he speaks of his kids...this interview with Ellen a few years back is great and he looks incredibly sexy!

YouTube - simon baker in SMITH interview ( ELLEN)

I ordered a few of his films yesterday over amazon and ebay!!!Can't wait to get them!!!!

I feel like watching some "Roswell" later...i've got these days where i feel melancolic and the perfect thing is watch some Jason aka Max Evans....

Have y'all a great evening....love you all!!!!

xxxxxx

Hi Gabi! I read that on the OT Thread. It's listed on Jason's IMDB for 2010! So maybe there is HOPE that it is being picked up after all! I Hope it is!!! It would be Wonderful to see Jason Every Week Again!

Oh, and when I went to that TV link that you posted, my computer went CrAzY saying that it Detected a Virus, so I had to Delete the site. I hope your computer is protected against Virus's and Alerts you when one is Detected!

Great Pics btw!!!

I hope Everyone had a Great 4th!!!

Biggest Hugs,

Wen

My gosh gabi I must have been hurrying because I missed the Simon Baker NAKED link on the previous page - Wow! He definitely, um, fills out a towel, doesn't he.

Love the interview on Ellen - He said that somewhere else, that he wanted to go back to Australia, but when they got there, they realized they'd been in the US long enough that they missed living there. He is very sweet, talking about his kids. I love that his son is named Harry, too. (not saying why though - heheh)

Nice pix of you and your friends too!

We had a very quiet 4th of July, which is what happens when you don't make any plans. Well, not that quiet. I played a CD of patriotic music I got from some veterans' charity and sat and waved a little flag and sang along with the ones I knew and later we watched the Boston Pops on TV and the fireworks etc. and MLette and I did some singing along with that, too.

I thought Craig Ferguson gave up drinking but he certainly didn't seem too sober last night at the Pops/fireworks thing. Neil Diamond was pretty amazing, considering he's old as the hills and can't sing much - still put on a heck of a show anyway. It's so weird to sit and watch it on TV when it's happening a few miles down the road - we can hear the booms of the fireworks, but totally can't see anything.

Our computer has been wonky and we might have to look into replacing it. It's quite old and I think my son replaced the hard drive in it once already, so the rest of it is really old. Always something. I don't want to get that new evil Windows Vista though, and I suppose that's what the new ones come with.

Oh yeh, you must be thinking of 'True Blood' Poddy on HBO (?). Dirty show where vampirism is an allegory to homosexuality (it is Allan Ball's show, isn't it?) and . I read some of Charlain Harris novels over people's shoulder on the subway and I didn't care much for her writing either. Just another sex show masquerading as a story about something else - like Grey's Anatomy.

We went out to eat and I got my steak - Funny, a girl brought plates of food and set this tiny steak down in front of me, and I was staring at it, all sad - couldn't believe it was so small - and then we realized she'd brought us the order for the wrong table!

Poor MLette works Sundays so her holiday weekend is over already. Not sure what the rest of us are going to do... dum de dum,

Oh well, i went to the gym this morning and i had 2 hrs work out...i tought i was pretty fit for my first day after a long time i don't step on a gym .I felt fantastic when i finished...my legs are a bit tired but nothingelse i can't complain about.

I found a link last night where i could download a movie Simon made in 1998 with Carla Gugino called "Judas Kiss"...i saved £12 on the dvd!...lol. The movie is ok...not his best film altough Simon's amazing as usual! He has these sex scenes with Carla Gugino...he looks so good!!!. And on today's "The Guardian" new episode he's like in 4 scenes swimming wearing this Spedos....wow he has great legs and another things!!!!I have found a link where i can buy his show "Smith" which was cancelled after 7 episodes....did anyone watch this show?. I'm going to watch in a while "The Ring 2"...it's on youtube (his movie "The affair of th necklace is there as well...loved his character...so goofy and cute)

Wen It would be awesome to see Jason on a tv show again...i think he deserves it. I didn't mean to put that link to infect anyone computers....i have never had a problem with it...got all the 1st season of "The Mentalist" downloaded from there and i have watched the first episode of "Blood Ties" last nite...and nothing. sorry if i caosed you a problem hun

ML Yummy that steak you had....i'm trying to eat healthy...making my effort in the gym count for something.
I loved the first episode of "Bood Ties"....Christina Cox's so beautiful and the guy who plays the good vampire is so cute!...apparently it's a Canadian show that it was cancelled after 2 seasons....too bad they always do that with good shows.

Saying bye with my mini Baker section!!!!!!!

MyrnaLynne, It sounds like you had a very nice 4th even tho' you didn't have any big plans... just shot from the hip, so to speak, but going out to eat and making your own Patriotic Day sounded Really nice!

We had a really nice day too! We went to my No.1 son's for a BBQ and it was really nice. He made Tri-tip, Baked Potatoes, Corn on the Cobb, and Becky, (DIL), surprised us all by making a Stars and Stripes Cake... (the cake looked like the American Flag, with blueberries and rasberries and the white whipped creamed frosting to all make it the Red, White, and Blue.) She saw it on the Cover of a magazine... of which I've seen before, and it turned out so pretty. It was a shame to cut it! LOL!

Remember the Fruit Salad that we were supposed to bring? Well MOTHER being MOTHER blew it Big Time with that! Here's the story...

Her Complex was having a Pot Luck 4th of July Party, BUT they were having it on July 1st instead! So, I was having Back Surgery on the 30th of June, and that's when MOTHER wanted to make the Fruit Salad for her Complex.

So, she had Lainie go over to her place that afternoon while I was resting after the Surgery and make the Fruit Salad for her Complex, AND for no. 1 son's Party! That's was 5 days too soon for the Party!!! What was that Woman Thinking?!!! That Salad would never last that long!

So AFTER that salads were made, and I found out, I freaked! So I told Lainie to just bring the Salad to No.1 son's and he can enjoy it EARLY!

He laughed and asked if MOTHER was on CRACK?! LOL!

And when I questioned MOTHER on it and asked her WHY she had Lainie make the salad Toooooo Early, she seemed confused and never gave me a straight answer. I think she's loosing it! Sometimes she Really screws up, like times like these! And other times she's fine and is quite sharp. I guess that's old age for you.

Anyway, Becky's mother came too, and she brought a big beautifully wrapped basket which was filled with a little Watermelon, pineapple, cantelope, and a honeydew melon.

No.1 son also had a big Watermelon, so they had LOTS of Watermelon! It was delicious tho'. Everything was delicious!

Oh, and he served Coffee Ice Cream with the cake, (one of my favorite ice creams! YUM!!!)

After we all ate, MOTHER promptly fell asleep on the couch, and was snoring away while we all had a good time talking and laughing.

It really was a good day. I guess we left about 7:30pm and they were going to head over to the park to watch the Fireworks Display, and we were going to take MOTHER home, but She didn't want to go straight home! She wanted to go to my place... but I knew she'd only stay like an hour and then want to go home, and that's Exactly what she DID! Grrr!

So we had to load up in the car an hour later and take her and her things home an hour later... very frustrating.

I watched Eli Stone... it was good! Did you remember to watch it? I hope you did!

My No.1 son had to go back to work today too. He did enjoy his days off tho'... he really needed them! He works really hard and puts in long hours, so by the time his days off come, he really needs them.

Gabi, I don't know what happened with that site, but my computer went Crazy and said there was a Virus detected and to Abort immediately, so I aborted. That's all I know. I know you would never put Virus sites on purpose Sweetie. I just hope your computer is protected!

I hope Everyone has a Great Day!

Biggest Hugs,
Wen

hey my peeps

ML starting with you cause you spoke of the Boston Pops....I have happy memories of Eugene O and other 4th of Julys.......how interesting that you and yours were hearing the booms while seeing it live on TV.....spacy ...............your world sounds so cozy it makes me happy hearing about all the stuff you guys do together! Hmmm.....Mlette,another angel of mercy, working so hard. I hope Craig F was just being weird and not drinking...he can be strange sober...lets hope. Thanks guys for helping me discern between the vamp shows.....yours sounds fun...I will netflix it glad you eneded up with the right steak

Wen I hope you had a happy 4th! OK now I see you did at your sons...with lots ofgreatfood Everything sounded lovely! Yes the oldage thing...you never know what is "them" and what is age I've always wanted to see that 4th cake(after seeing it onmany mag covers over the yrs) in the flesh.....cool you got to eat it

gabi I love your cheering section and thanks for the pix!!! I love to see all you guys You are so pretty and your friends look great too Interesting that you know a regular person named Orlando.....is that a fairly common namein the UK? s for your hard week! SO early to get started! Way to go with the gym

SO we went to my brothers sons house for the Bday/4th party of bros grand daughter and it was very nice. They have a pool and the BDay girl swam for the first time without swimmies...we got to see one of her firsts we came back to the island(they live right off shore on the mainland) to see the beach fireworks. Podad pooped out and didn't want to walk down...but I did(discruntled at first to be alone....I am often alone cause he is an introvert and the kids are gone) but I was glad I did because it is SO great......the beach is filled with ppl like in the daytime...packed.....tons of kids running around with varied and assundry glow things on their bodies. The moon was almost full and it was reflecting on the ocean. As you look up and down the cOAST YOU CAN SEE ALL THE DIFFERENT TOWNS FIRE WORKS DISPLAYS....DIFFERING IN SIZE DEPENDENT ON The DISTANCE AWAY...........oops sorry about the caps again maybe 8 towns in all.. but Atlantic City had GIANT ones....like a real big city I guess.....keep in mind you see many at once....and ACs are giant compared to t he other towns....very cool to see.............keep in mind the lights reflect on the ocean so you get 2 shows in a way.............plus all the ppl illeagally setting them off on the beach.....it is really an awsome thing....so even though I was feeling way sorry for myself.....I was glad to see it once again.

time gone by......just talked with my friend Katie on the phone while I watched the sunset.

this is way longforme...better post before I loose it....night

Podmom your 4th sounds beautiful - how cool to see the fireworks going off up and down the coast at different towns, and reflected on the water. Beautiful!
Mr ML is a lot like PodDad, well he's sociable, but at home he does his own thing, reading, computer game, listening to music, out jogging/basketball whatever. It's like he's here, but not here (sort of how my son is here, but playing his online game so - not really here either). And then when he decides he wants to be sociable, that's when I'M usually doing my own thing!

We are pretty cozy though! MLette and I watched 'Devil Wears Prada' with gabi's Simon Baker and Adrien Grenier from Entourage as the two love interests. Simon Baker in a towel again. Adrian G is so pretty with all those glossy dark curls (like Emmett in the book) and big blue eyes - although he has a big head like a bobblehead. Lucky Anne Hathaway! I don't know how anybody could put up with a boss that mean and scary and unreasonably demanding and unkind. Well, my bosses have their moments but nothing like THAT! Liked the movie more than I expected, being so NOT into fashion in any way.

We ordered a new computer! Mr ML Jr and I went online and he clicked off everything he thought we needed (and I added a few things I wanted) so - woo! They will put it together and ship it to the house. We looked in BestBuy, but everything is laptops these days, and they only had a few computers and you really can't tell what they have inside them (at least I can't). Plus, I wanted to avoid the evil Windows Vista operating system if possible. (Goo hiss on Bill Gates)

Wen that's too bad about the fruit salad and trying to make it too far in advance. I know I think like that sometimes, wanting to bake the pies way before Thanksgiving and then realizing they'll be all soggy if I do them too early. Just trying to be efficient; probably what your Mother was thinking (in an inefficient way).

Mr ML is off the whole week - taking the car in to get looked at, hopefully going to repaint the kitchen ceiling while he's off. Mr ML Jr is off Mon and Tues too - looong weekend for him, lucky guy. But MLette and I are slogging away at our jobs!
