I'm ALIVE and made it thru' yet the LAST Surgery!

I told him that since I had felt ALL the other 3 Surgeries, could he Please give me more medicine in my IV, he said he would, and it wasn't so bad this time! Well, I still felt everything, but it didn't hurt as bad as the other times, just a couple of REAL OUCHIES, but it was better than last time.

The IV, that was placed in my hand again, still hurts like HELL tho'. I had one nurse when I went to the Surgery Ctr in the next town over that used Lidocaine to put IV's in Bless Her! I wish they ALL did that, but alas, they don't.

And I had a numb bum and leg again, so much so that I couldn't walk without help! At least they used the wheelchair to get me to my car and then Lainie helped me into the house. Hope the neighbors weren't watching!

Thank goodness that wore off, but it took the good part of the day for it to do so.

Anyway, it's all behind me now!

MyrnaLynne, Sorry to hear that the elevator was Out Of Order... especially with your knee hurting! Thank goodness you knew about the other elevator, but too bad it didn't go all the way up to the 9th floor instead of just the 5th!

And you Cracked me up when you said you looked like a Creamcicle! I'm sure you didn't look that bad! Actually, the colors sounded rather nice and Summery.

And Oh NO! You missed Eli Stone Again! Sorry to hear that! They've been good too! Leave yourself notes so you don't miss it again this Saturday!

I kept missing the 4400 too! But they kept changing the days and times that it came on ... like they were trying to HIDE it! Grrrr! So I missed the last 2 Seasons of it! Grrrrr!!! And I Really liked the show too!

Awww, so the Edward Puzzle got put back in the Box, eh? Was it too expensive to preserve it with puzzle glue and then frame it? Or did you get the chance to look into it? Just wondering.

WoW!... Mr. ML is going to town on the Wii Fit game, unlocking games left and right! The games sound so cute too!

Yes, when you have an animal, you really have to think about their welfare before you can make plans of taking off carefree.

My Bro' always asked us to watch his animals while he'd take MONTH LONG TRIPS but he wouldn't watch our animals if we ever went anyway... always made excuses. Grrrr! So MOTHER would watch our animals for us.

She may be a lot of things, but I have to admit, she'd always be there for our animals if needed. Go figure!

And yes, I too read that Billy Mays had Hypertension and heart disease and that was probably what killed him, but like you said, a rough plane landing like he had was probably enough to give his heart a bad jolt!

How terrible tho' for his family.

Mezzi, That was so cute of your student with her little play puppies. Kids can be so darling sometimes, and can just melt your heart.

And they can be sooo funny too! I was with my friend and her 4 yr old daughter, and we were driving by 'Pep Boys' (a mechanic shop designed to get your car in and out speedily). Anyway, we noticed it was Closed which we thought was Really Odd during work hours, so my friend mentioned this fact about it being odd for it to be closed.

And her 4 year old daughter chimed in and said, "Mommy, they said on the News that it was closed because of FROGS!" We looked at one another and thought about it and then figured it out... they must have been closed for FRAUD, and NOT FROGS!

We had such a good laugh over that, and we were right... they had been closed for Fraud. LOL!

Kids really do say the Darnedest things! And the cutest things too!

Biggest Hugs,
Wen

LOL, 'closed for frogs' sounds as good a reason as any!

Yay, Wen you are through your other procedure and hopefully back-pain free soon. Wow you are sooo brave to go through all that!

I just saw in the paper today that Mattel is going to make Bella and Edward Barbie dolls - - Edward will have sparkly skin and golden eyes (sigh!). I bet they will be cute. Wow, everybody and his brother is jumping on the 'Twilight' bandwagon, trying to make a buck.

I guess I realized the Edward puzzle is a poster, and it would make more sense to just buy and hang up the poster of it (without all the puzzly lines all through the picture of it), if I wanted to hang the picture up.

That's so nice that Mother will watch your pets. That's so rude of people who ask favors and then refuse the same favor back! My dog was so funny this morning, he didn't want breakfast, he wanted his walk first, and he was eating grass, so I thought his stomach was bothering him. Afterward, he didn't come into the kitchen so I figured I'd just put down a bowl of dry kibble that he could eat later/wouldn't get soggy (I usually mix dry and canned and water) - and then he came in and ate it all! LOL! Plus he didn't do his business yesterday morning and waited all day, and he didn't go this morning either. Wonder what's up with him?

It's so foggy today - I didn't even realize it until the subway went over the bridge to Boston and it was all misty and murky. The hospital is building a new building (when aren't hospitals building something?) and the top of the huge crane was hidden in the foggy clouds.

Oh the summer crinkle cotton pants I ordered from another place came yesterday and they fit and they are all good (I got white, tan, pink, and aqua) so I have a whole new summer pants wardrobe now. Should have sent those creamsicle clothes back - the fabric is very heavy and scratchy too, weird for summer stuff.

LOL, this woman using my office wears a big bracelet with a charm on it, and every time she moves her arm, it taps on the desk, and it sounds like she's over the shooting dice or flipping coins or something. Weird noise. It's like when guys walk by jangling keys, and my dog thinks they are dog tags and he starts looking around for the other dog.

I miss Podmom! Wonder what she's up to? Probably busy and/or computer trouble.

I'm reading "Breaking Dawn" again

We watched another 'Blood ties' episode last night, but it wasn't one of their best ones (about voodoo etc). Still - I love it! It was such a good series and I was missing it so much. And it's fun to watch them with Mr ML and MLette, who haven't seen them yet (I got into the show near the end of the series, and then watched the ones I'd missed online - teeny tiny bad versions, or bought them from iTunes but still not like seeing them on a real TV).

Knee was too bad to Wii yesterday, but I did do a lot around the house (laundry, cleaned the toilet etc). Mr ML just got snowboarding next! He is quite the stubborn gamer (same reason he can put impossible puzzles together - stubborn Capricorn).

Yes, closed for FROGS would be a good reason too!

We had an epidemic of Tree Frogs here one year and they were EVERYWHERE! They are little frogs, about 2 inches long, and actually live in the trees, but with the epidemic, they were on the ground, on our roofs, and EVERYWHERE!

Satan Jr. and my Dad had gone golfing and they were going to hit there balls onto the Green and the entire green MOVED! It was Covered with Tree Frogs! LOL!

We actually had to stuff towels under our doors so they wouldn't come into the house! And they were coming in thru' our Chimney and Swamp Cooler too! Oh that was a terrible year!

Yes, I knew that Mattel was making Edward and Bella dolls... you can pre-order them thru' Toys R Us and they sell for $34.99 ea.

Also, Toner will be selling Edward and Bella in their Prom Outfits by the end of the year for something like $169.00 Kind of pricey, but I bet they look Gorgeous!

You can pre-order Bella now thru' Amazon, but I didn't see Edward yet, but I just might have missed him since they don't have any pictures displayed yet.

And yes, I'm FINALLY all done with my Back Surgeries!

My left side was a complete success! :pinkie. I really don't feel any pain on that side, but that wasn't my worst side either, but don't get me wrong,,, it hurt like HELL before the Surgery! Now I'm pretty much painfree on that side.

Now my right side is virtually painfree except for one spot which still hurt like the dickens, just about 4 inches to the left of my hip. But compaired to what it was, it's nothing I can't live with.

The Surgery Ctr should be calling me in about 15 mins to see how I'm doing. They always call the next day around 8:30am, which I think is nice of them.

And really, I'm doing GREAT!

I rested like I was suppose to yesterday, and Lainie made supper so I didn't have to do that last night... (Good Kid!)

And shocking, my Bro' emailed me to see how I was doing! I didn't think he'd even remember that I was having surgery! Aww, he cares. LOL!

My no.1 son called me last night too, to see how I was doing as well, and we talked for a while. Today is his Friday and he's really needing it. With these HOT TEMPS, he Really needs his days off!

It went to 105* yesterday, UGH! Suppose to be 104* today! UGH! I'll be glad when we're out of the triple digits!

I miss Poddy too! But she's probably doing her Poddy-Goodness Work, Bless her! I just hope she doesn't stretch herself too thin. She has the Biggest Heart!

Your new Summer pants sound lovely! And lightweight and comfortable! If you don't like the Creamcicle outfit, still send it back.

I'm glad you are enjoying your 'Blood ties' (and Kyle!), and that your family are enjoying it too!

And Wow!... Mr. ML unlocked yet another game?! He's really going to town with that game! Glad he's having so much fun with it now!

And my DIL is a Capricorn too, and can be very stubborn too!

Biggest Hugs,
Wen

gabi Congrats on the move to the new place! And isn't that always the way? It's either over 100 degrees or it's pouring rain - something - when you try to move. I remember the first time Mr ML helped me move to a new flat, when we were dating - pouring rainstorm. He thought it would take an hour or two - I think it took 2 days.

The weather is so extreme this year. We had rain again (no surprise there!) and it's chilly enough for a jacket still. I think instead of summer, we are getting a 'rainy season' this year.

That's so nice that everybody is checking up on how you're doing Wen. Glad the procedure was a success. Pain is, well, such a PAIN!

I figured you knew all about the Edward/Bella dolls already, you are so up on these things. I'd be curious to see them, but I don't know that I'd want to own one. I have way way too much stuff around the place already.

OMG that plague of tree frogs sounds, well, almost BIBLICAL! Frogs are so so cute, but too much of anything is kind of scary! We don't ever get frogs or toads around here, because there's no ponds or anything nearby - I miss those. I guess frogs worldwide are in trouble, because they are so sensitive to the environment. Love the froggies.

It's a shame 'Blood Ties' never got on a major network and never had a bigger audience because I think it's really good. Good actors, great chemistry, witty writing, interesting/spooky crimes to solve, triangle love-relationship. Only downside was Vicki is so butch and independent and relationship phobic that she really doesn't want to be with either guy/can't commit. You begin to wonder why both guys are so crazy about her. (By the end of the series, they both wonder too, and leave.. sniff)

Oh well... that pile of work isn't going anywhere unless I give it a SHOVE....

I just saw they are making a movie out of 'Time Traveller's Wife" book - that was such a cool book, but I can't imagine how they'd film it, with all the time travelling, age changes, and nekkidness (as I recall, when he travelled, his clothes stayed behind!)

* * *

Ooo photos of RPatz in NYC Central Park - somehow he fits right in with the Mad Hatter - LOL

Poddy! Sounds like you are having a lot of good times, being Vivless and enjoying the OC.

We are having a thunderstorm too! It's pouring out there (it was just misting this morning) - wish I'd watched the weather. But I have a raincoat anyway - you need one every day here lately, I'm not kidding!) and the shoes I wore are supposedly waterproof.

And so cold. I shut the windows upstairs and threw another quilt on the bed last night. shiver. (I know, Wen to you, and Gabi with the 100 degree weather, that probably sounds like heaven- but it gets old).

Well it's official - it said in the Metro today that it was the coldest June since 1916 (not a day hit 80), the wettest June since 1916 (and that was measurable precipitation -hard to measure all the weird mist/fine spray, the sun was out only 27% of the time/gloomiest June since 1903, temps were 5 degrees below normal, and we had the least wind ever. So much for 'global warming', Al Gore! LOL!

Yesterday we had fog/mist in the morning, a rain shower in the afternoon, and then a thunder/lightning gulleywasher (just before going home-time)! And it just started thundering/pouring again. sigh.

I wonder if it'll be clear enough to shoot off the fireworks this weekend at the Boston Pops concert, or if the sky will be clear enough to even see them. The place they have the concert is a block or two from where I work. My city is shooting theirs off tonight, but we never go to it. I think we went and looked at it once. Can't see the Boston fireworks from where we live either, although we can hear the booms.

Did I mention my new rain boots have a leak/crack? I tried putting duct tape on them this morning before I walked Elmo (in the long, wet grass) - got a wet sock. (sigh) Guess I'll toss them and buy new boots. I bet LLBean has just the thing!

Ugh - Elmo caught a little bird in our driveway yesterday. I made him drop it (with difficulty!), and it was still alive/gasping its last breaths - but then it died. :< I felt awful. One minute he pounced on some grass, next minute he had wings sticking out of either side of his mouth. I know it's just an instinct, and it's Nature, and that's very cruel - but I had him on the leash and I should have been more alert. I felt horrible.

Sorry, aren't I just a little ray of sunshine this morning! Plus it seems like everybody took today off except me - nobody is around. Found out Mrs Boss is gone for the long weekend already too (Yay!)

I have "Grey Gardens" on my Netflix list too - it looked interesting. We just got 'Devil Wears Prada' - for some reason, I never saw that. (And Simon Baker is in it, I hear, and Adrien Grenier etc).

Hiya girls, I'm back. Today i've finished unpacking and i have to say that my room feels bigger than when i saw it for the first time LOL. I have to correct that yesterday we had 83 degrees; it felt hotter!.And i can see that the wetaher is being crazy everywhere!!!Too bad. It just took me 2 hours from my old place to the new one....i tought it was going to take me longer. I went to bed earlier than usual, i was exhausted. Having internet connection at home feels fantastic!I have a brand new flat t.v. that i bought the other day..... And the best thing is that now i can stay in bed an hour longer!

ML Sorry to hear about your knee hun(what are you going to do?)...and what happend with the elevator at your work place....and oh that you missed "Eli Stone" again. At least you're having a blast with the Wii. Hun, don't worry i never tought you were dissing Simon for a moment....Btw, i hope you enjoy "The devil wears prada"...he looks so hot...almost at the end of the film he is....I won't tell...just watch it.

The story of your neighbord was hilarious!...i hope he's nice looking!

I'm so sorry about how your mom was with you and your children...

Poddy Thanks for the good wishes about my move. Sounds so relaxing and cool spending some days in the beach...i need to do that!...with a nice blonde, surfer guy next to me

Wen Oh yeah...you're done with surgeries babes!!!!!YAY!!!Congrats...i hope you're recovering well!!!. OMG, i hate frogs!!!!...how can you take all those frogs next to your house?...disguisting!

Mezz Kids really surprise you...i'm realizing about that thanks to my nephew...before i didn't like kids much but since my nephew was born i think about him everyday!!!...i love him...

About the Bella & Edward dolls....i can image that a lot of people will be buying those dolls...they will make a fortune!. I'm excitied about RobP...he's having a very good publicity...apparently he's the most laid back celebrity....he deserves it, he works hard for it.

It's time for my Baker section...btw, there's no board here dedicated to him.
I'm posting these clips of Simon...let's say i post them cos i think he's a great kisser,lol.....

This clip is from "The Guardian".....

Ok, we have a CrAzY neighbor that leaves out peanuts in their shell for the animals and I am sooo sick of the birds banging those damn peanuts on our roof at 5 and 6 am and well virtually all day long to get the peanuts out of their shells! It's driving me absolutely MAD!

Ok, vent over... just had to get that out!

Gabi! It's sooo good to see you during the week! I hope you'll be very happy in your new place!

UGH! Sorry about you having to move in 100* weather tho'! You poor thing! We're having horrible 100* weather as well, and believe me, I feel for you! I hope your flat has A/C!

I'm editing because I wrote this before I saw your post, but I agree... sometimes with the humidity, the eighties can feel hotter than it really is! And thanks for your joy for my successful surgeries too! I really appreciate that! Enjoy your New Place!

MyrnaLynne, I know ... with everyone checking up on me, made me feel really good! LOL! They really do Love me! It's nice to know, you know? LOL! And thank you for your happiness for my successfulness of my surgeries! I really appreciate that!

And yes, those Tree Frogs did feel like a Plague! Geesh! I never in my life seen so many frogs before!

I remember I had gotten up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water, but my kitchen was weird, where as, you had to walk across the dark kitchen to get to the light switch, and as I was walking across the dark kitchen, I stepped on one of those dang frogs! Ewwww!

Well, I didn't kill it, just managed to catch it's leg and flatten it, and so it was hop, drag, hop, drag, well you get the picture. LOL! Poor thing! I picked it up and put it out the back kitchen door and let it hop/drag it's merry way away.

It was really miserable finding frogs in the house, because they came from the roof right down the Chimney and down the Swamp Cooler too! Argh! It was a nightmare, I tell you!!!

And these frogs didn't need to be anywhere near water or anything like that because they lived in the trees... weird little frogs!

You should have seen MOTHER thru' that epidemic of frogs... she spent the entire time Screaming her head off, because she HATES Frogs!!! She's practically phobic of them!

And of course, my boys being little at the time, thought the frogs were the Greatest Things since 7-UP! And they would protest when I kept putting the found house frogs outside! Go figure... Boys!

I really love that picture of Rob... I copied the whole bunch of them that they had posted... he's just so darn cute!

Thanks for posting it! He really does fit in that world, doesn't he?! LOL!

Poddy! You have been Missed Woman!

I'm glad you had some fun with hubby and friends at the Beach house, and had fun visiting with other friends too! You sooo needed that!

And thanks for your joys for my surgery going so well too! I appreciate that as well!

Yes, I will have to pick up 'The Host' and read it one of these days as I'll take your word on it that it's really good! I trust your judgement.

And I figured you were doing your Poddy-Goodness Work as well. Just please don't spread yourself too thin, K? You have the Biggest Heart!

Biggest Hugs to All,
Wen

Maybe those are like the tree frogs they have in Florida - my friend has one that lives inside the tube of her windchime during the day (which goes 'ding, ding, ding, klunk - tube with frog inside LOL), and at night it suction cups its feet to her front window, and eats the bugs that are attracted to the light on inside the house! She tapped on the windchime and these two little eyes came up and peeked out at us, like "Who's there?" - so cute! But I wouldn't want a plague of them - too much of anything is, well, too much! I'm sure the boys loved them. Oh your poor mother, though, with frog-o-phobia!

You won't believe what I did tonight - the lightbulb on the bathroom ceiling blew out, so I got a bulb and dragged out the ladder - the fixture is weird, you sort of pull it down - anyway, I got the bulb out okay (our ceilings are high) but I couldn't see what I was doing, and it wouldn't go in and it wouldn't go in - and I STUCK MY FINGER in the light socket! I got a shock and screamed and Mr ML came running! Glad I didn't fall off the ladder and kill myself. Boy was I upset.

Woohoo, 3 day weekend! I was so happy when work got over today. Have to go back Monday - and I have my mammogram that day! Talk about welcome back to reality!

We watched 2 'Blood Ties' episodes tonight - sigh! Kyle and Dylan, both such cuties - and I met both of them. LOL, I made Henry and Vicki and Mike Mii's for our Wii game tonight - although I suppose it's not exactly kosher to mix your vampire families. But they all have such strong chins and you can't give your Mii's good chins/cleft chins - or suits, or long black coats or anything. LOL! I get such a kick out of the Mii's, I have my Dad, and my brother-in-law across the street (the one who looks like Magnum PI) plus most of the Twilight crew (Bella, Edward, Jacob, Alice, Emmett, Carlise, Rosalie, and Jasper).

Yes, I loved those photos of RobP - he is a bit of a mythical creatures himself, isn't he?

gabi Simon is a very good kisser! And you must be totally exhausted from moving and going back and forth across London. Sticky weather is exhausting too, I think. I bet it's like here and a lot of places have no air conditioning either, because people feel like it doesn't get hot for that long/that often. Really stupid because when it's hot - it's HOT and who cares how long it lasts? Any amount of being too hot is too long, for me.

MyrnaLynne! You stuck your finger in the light socket?!!! OUCH!!! Did you burn your finger?! I'm glad you're alright! Scary stuff... electrocution!
And Yes, I'm Glad you didn't fall off the ladder and kill yourself too!!!

How funny that your friend in FL has a frog that lives in her windchimes! And what's even funnier is that when you knocked on it, it peeked out to see who was there!
Animals can be sooo funny sometimes!

Thanks for the Good Laugh!

And how cute that you made 'Blood Ties' Mii's! LOL! Who knows, next you'll be making Roswell Mii's! LOL!

Lainie has made a ton of Mii's since she's sooo good at it. She gets the likeness down to a tee! I envy her! She even made MOTHER and it looks Just like her! And when MOTHER saw it, she said, "Hey! That looks like ME!" (While not having a clue that Lainie had made her into a Mii!)
We all laughed our heads off at that!

I bet the Star Trek Mii's would be fun to make... especially Spock! LOL! You could make Kirk and Spock next! LOL!

Oh, thanks for the 'Blood Ties' pic! Those Men are Very Attractive!

And speaking of Attractive Men, I've been following Rob's New Pics daily, thanks to the OT Thread! Looks like Rob got a little hair cut too! He looks good!

Have a Wonderful 4th!

Poddy, I'm so glad you made it to OC safe and sound!
Wow!... It Really sounds Crowded there for the 4th! I'm not big on crowds, but I'm sure it doesn't bother you since you are such a people person.

I'm glad the weather is nice today there! I hope it stays that way so you can see the Fireworks Display tomorrow!

BTW... You have Email.

Have a Wonderful 4th!

And I hope Everyone has a Wonderful 4th!

Biggest Hugs,
Wen

'Blood Ties' is mainly about Vicki Nelson, the woman. She's a cop but has some degenerating eye condition and has to quit the force (which pretty much was her life, being a cop, and she was good), and goes into private investigating. Mike Cellucci used to be her partner (and BF, I think) but they fight like cats and dogs too. She runs into a weird crime and meets Henry, who is also checking it out (because a demon is hunting in his territory) and they end up joining forces (much to Mike's suspicion/jealousy) and she gets involved in sort of 'occult' related crimes/mysteries.

It's really closest to Buffy, I think, with the witty dialogue and the fighting evil demons stuff; that and the love story of her and the two guys in her life. She has a Goth secretary, Coreen, too (Gina Holden, who was on Flash Gorden recently) who is into all the occult stuff and is sort of equivalent to Willow - doing research and helping out and being enthusiastic (and crushing on Henry a bit). He's not a bad vampire though - he's religious and he hates the 'dark side', although he's happy with being a vampire, not all broody and pouty about it - he doesn't kill his victims, he romances them and just takes a sip here and there and they never know what happened. Anyway, I really like it. I think it's on a par with Buffy and I'm surprised it never got the following that Buffy had/has, but then again, it wasn't on a big channel and the series didn't go on that long.

Sorry, more than you wanted to know about BT but I think it's quite charming.
You know I am a wuss about horror and gorey violent stuff, and that isn't what this is about. It's a relationship thing - with fangs.

Naw I wasn't hurt by the shock, It just kind of gives you a tingle, the electricity (our house is old and we don't have very heavy duty electricity) but I gives you, well, no pun intended, a shock and it's scary, and I have a dread of messing with electricity and just that happening. Got shocked once before, when I was wallpapering MLette's room with foil butterfly paper and got too close to the light switch with the wet (metallic) wallpaper! Zzzt!

Aw that's too bad about Liz's ex boyfriends and them still being close to you Podmom. I haven't become MLette's 'friend' on Facebook because I wanted to give her her space and vice versa. Having some fun with that site, although it's so superficial.

Well, we never made any plans so we're not doing much of anything this weekend. Got the car inspected yesterday (sticker expired end of June - phew!) but that's about it.

Mr ML got up at 5 a.m. and took a bike ride. He wasn't back until 8 and I was sure he was dead. He saw a mom raccoon go get a baby raccoon in her mouth and carry it away with her, and some bunnies too. The poor guy needs his exercise or he's just not a happy camper. His rib is getting better - slowly. He needs to sweat and be active and my legs are so bad, I can't go do much of anything. sigh. Due to get another shot in August.

Wen bless those gals over at OT thread for keeping us up to date on the doing of RobP in NY making his movie. Ooo, I got that "Sexy Stars of Twilight" magazine yesterday (with the 7 posters in it) - they had it at the drug store. I was all set to take a big trip and hunt for it.
