Hmm, wonder if they could fix "hibernation" too, while they're at it...

I figured I did it last time so I'd leave the thread-making to somebody else this time around! Great job, Podmom!

Well, all that slaving over the hot eggplant awhile back was worth it, because tonight I took the fried breaded/frozen eggplant out of the freezer, stuck it in a pan with some sauce and cheese and baked it awhile and - voila - eggplant parmigian in no time at all! It was good, too! (If I do say so myself.)

Alex O'Loughlin from 'Moonlight' is the bad guy on 'Criminal Minds' tonight at 9 - if President Obama's speech doesn't throw off the TV schedule. That man does like to talk..

Well, they found 2 case of swine flu in Massachusetts - had a big press conference at the hospital this afternoon. Some people had to go visit Mexico... a place I have no intentions of ever visiting (no offense, any Mexican JB fans). I would only go if Gael Garcia Bernal invited me personally and would show me around. But he just had a baby with some girlfriend or other (sigh - more of that baby having with the girlfriends again). He and Diego Luna just reunited and made a movie together. Sounded good. I always liked him - reminds me of Jason only with way more teeth (GG Bernal that is).

Have to go walk the dog (again)... Mr ML is off playing basketball (again) and is having his poker game Friday - guess I can watch that movie I got from Netflix then.

I thought of a name they could call 'swine flu.' H1N1 is too much of a mouthful so how about "hiney flu" (HiNi)
* * *
Next day....

Just checked the 'Frost' thread and two important pieces of info - the showing in NYC was changed from May 29 to June 12 - so I'm glad Mr ML and I didn't plan that trip!

And the 'Last International Playboy' DVD is on sale at

THE LAST INTERNATIONAL PLAYBOY

Plus there is a fan discount code: lip1009

so you get 25% off the price!

I had some trouble with the site, but eventually put in my order (woo-hoo). They had posters and t-shirts too (but they only got up to large, and I'm not sure how large a large is - probably not large enough for a 'traditionally built woman' as they say in the African lady detective books).

Alex O'Loughlin on 'Criminal Minds' last night was exactly as Matt Rousch said - brilliant, twitchy, nuanced performance by him in a really lackluster, terrible show by the rest of the cast with hack writers! LOL! Tell us what you really think, Matt! It was nice to see Alex O'L again, even as an OCD serial killer.

Good Morning Lovely Ladies!

Great Start to the New Thread Poddy!

I just LOVE the Intro!!!

And I just LOVE that last picture of Jason that you posted! It's one of my FAVORITES!

Thanks for doing the honors this time around!

And Thanks MyrnaLynne for doing all the other times before!

That was really smart of you to do the eggplant ahead of time to save time in the kitchen and have a great meal in half the time it normally takes. Sounds delicious btw! (YUM!)

That's one of MOTHER'S favorite meals too. She doesn't make it much anymore, but when we go out to eat Italian, she usually orders that.

Oh, and I had seen that Alex O'Loughlin was going to play the bad guy on Criminal Minds. He really looked different, didn't he?! Wow!... He's a Good Actor! I saw the picture of his "Bad Character" in the TV Guide.

Did you get to see it? Just wondering because I didn't watch it.

And we too have 2 cases of the Swine Flu... who also visited family in Mexico... A grandmother and a 20 month old baby (from the same family). Both have been put on antiviral meds and are supposidly responding well to the meds, (fingers crossed they make it).

Now all those peeps on the plane with them have to worry, and the schools that the other children in the family go to have been alerted... what a mess! Really scary because that's how epidemics start,... plane travel and schools and such!

Well, I have PT today, UGH! I swear they are trying to kill me there! Make me move in directions that I can't go! But the say the same thing... Just Try! UGH!

I have 2 more appts of PT after this one and I can't wait for it to be OVER! OH THE PAIN!

I watched the movie 'Twilight' again yesterday. I swear I can repeat all the lines with them! I just love that movie!

And of course I'm still re-reading the books as well. I just can't stop!

Lainie's threatening an Intervention!

She and MOTHER just don't understand! Everytime they see me reading the books, Lainie groans, and MOTHER says: "You are NOT STILL READING THOSE BOOKS?!!!"

They say it's gotten out of hand. tsk! What do they know? They just don't get it!

MyrnaLynne, You aren't getting flack from your family from re-reading the 'Twilight Series', are you? I hope your family is more understanding than mine.

I'm glad today is Thursday, because 1... That means my No.1 son finally has 3 days off, and boy does he need them!

And 2... Because tomorrow is Friday and it's May 1st and that means it's payday! (Gosh it's been a long month!) But also, they are shipping my Bella & Edward dolls on the 1st!

I know, I'm pathetic for ordering the Bella and Edward dolls, but Edward is sooo cute with the little sun glasses on and all!

I decided to give the other Edward doll that I had ordered to my niece Shannon for Christmas, and I KNOW she'll LOVE IT!

I hope Everyone has a Great Day!

Biggest Hugs,
Wen

Well, I only read the books right before I go to sleep at night/keep them by the bed, so they don't see me reading them, but no, my family doesn't give me any flack about reading the same 4 books for ONE YEAR and counting! LOL! But they have put up with my various obsessions/passions over the years so I guess they're used to it with me! I did put 2 RobP magnets up on the fridge (along with my Jason magnet) and nobody said a thing/even noticed.

Hmm, maybe we'll watch the 'Twilight' movie tomorrow during the poker game - Mr ML Jr has never seen it (and MLette only saw it once). heh heh. Although I suppose we need to watch the Netflix movie so we can send it back.

That's great that your Edward and Bella dolls are coming - I thought he was cute with the sunglasses too. And money coming in - always a blessing.

sigh, yes, they've upgraded the flu epidemic from level 4 (yesterday) to level 5 today - and it only goes up to level 6, so.. scary stuff! We just had 2 cases here yesterday - brothers who came back from visiting family in Mexico.

I have never had any desire to go to Mexico, although I know they have a bunch of fabu resorts that people visit.

We must have been posting at the same time - Yep, I watched Alex O'Loughlin on 'Criminal Minds's last night - it's been marked on my calendar for months, and MLette reminded me last night too - she's such a sweetie. I decided to just watch it and not tape it, because I knew it was going to be kind of a creepy character. Yes, Alex is a very good actor and can play very different roles. He did a very meticulous job with this nutso character. I felt bad for people with OCD, though, because it generally doesn't cause you to become a serial killer! LOL! You just have a very clean house, clean hands or whatever.

Good stuff over at hisgoldeneyes - fun interview with Peter Fancinelli - he's such a happy good-natured guy - an interview with Rob. Poor Rob - he's so nervous! So worried that all this recent good luck has to mean a heap of bad luck coming next or something. Sort of can't believe his good fortune, waiting for the other shoe to fall. It's true there are no Cullens in the majority of "New Moon" (they leave town) so all the Cullen actors have probably shot all their scenes and left already. It's Kristen and Taylor and the 'pack' and Charlie and the friends in most of this one.
I also didn't like the sound of a nightmarish Edward!

Yes MyrnaLynne, your family is really understanding... especially Mr. ML! You are Very Lucky about that! Most husbands wouldn't be so understanding.

My family is kind of understanding about Jason, tho' think I am strange, but accepted my Obsession. But when it comes to 'Twilight', they're coming unglued! Geesh! I don't know what their problem is?!

And you could always watch both, 'Twilight' on Friday night, and the Netflix movie still over the weekend. There! Problem solved.

And they're now saying that CA has over a 100 cases of the Swine Flu and they are closing schools and such because of the outbreaks.

And they just confirmed one in my town today! Scary stuff!

Both MOTHER and I have Dr appts on Monday and we go to one of the busiest Dr offices in town... I hope the patient didn't go to THAT office!

And Yes, my Bella and Edward dolls are being shipped! Can't wait to get them. (My Cool Edward with his little sun glasses! )

Oh, is that the kind of Character Alex O'Loughlin played?... one with OCD?! I didn't know that. I didn't read what it was about... just saw the picture and read the little article about what he did after he did 'Moonlight'.

Yes, I try to go to HisGoldenEyes every day to see what's new over there, and I saw the interview with Peter F. He's really cute in his own right. And I think it's so sweet how much he adores his wife and kids. It's refreshing, really!

I saw a picture of him with his wife while they were at Disney Land and he was kneeling at her feet while holding Cinderella's Glass Slipper on a blue velvet pillow. He's so sweet!

I also read that he said while he was at Disney Land, while having Dinner at one of the restaurants, Stephenie Meyers walked up to his table and surprised him, that she was actually there too! And he had his chance to complain to her about why the Cullens, especially HIS character didn't get to go to Italy! LOL! He said that HIS character could have just shown up too! LOL!

And yes, I read Rob's little article too, about him afraid that he's going to die at 23 or something because he's afraid that his Good Luck will turn Sour. Poor Guy!... To be so nervous like that.

Yes, I don't like the thought of a Demon Edward at All!

Gosh, I have a busy Monday... 1st, like I said, both MOTHER and I have Dr appts starting at 1:45, which means we have to be there by 1:30, 2nd I have my Ultra Sound, (for the mass in my uterus),... (in the same building) at 2:30, and 3rd I have to take MOTHER to another Dr's appt at 4pm!

I'm going to be so frazzled that day, I just know it!

Hopefully my Dr has gotten my Pap results back because I haven't heard anything yet, and I think I Should have heard by now! I don't know why my tests are so late on coming back... which Freaks Me Out!!!

But when I worked in the health care field, we Never waited with bad news... that always came right away! So, I'm hoping no news is good news?!

I went to PT... UGH! It's Almost Over and I can't wait!!!

I didn't have my regular gal, but someone new! I'm not too crazy about that, when they switch peeps on me.

Well, the new gal was nice enough, but I still prefer the regular gal, as I'm used to her and more comfortable with her.

And I shouldn't be like this, but there was another patient in there, a man, and he was agrivating the crap out of me because he just kept bragging about all his vacations and how much he spent on each and then he was complaining about the tension on the machines were not hard enough because it was too easy for him, and so on and so forth. I felt like just slapping him!!! UGH! I couldn't wait to get out of there and away from that IDIOT! Grrr!!!

I felt like I was being tortured in two ways! 1. by them hurting me, and 2. by that IDIOT! Grrrr! I was never so glad to leave a place, I'll tell you!

Sorry, had to vent a little there.

Poddy, Sweetie, don't sweat the small stuff!

TGIF!!!

Biggest Hugs!

Yeh, sorry I brought it up, Poddy but it's the editor thing... I had to look it up too! LOL! I knew it looked funny but then I couldn't remember how it really was spelled. I am so losing it...

Oh, my bad dog peed all over the little rug in the office last night! And I took him out at 10, and then watched 'Ace of Cakes' and fell asleep (Mr ML Jr was laughing at me) and woke up at 11 and dragged myself up to bed. Guess I should have waited and put him out at 11 instead! Bad bad dog... I guess he's having that 'problem' again with the drinking and peeing too much. sigh.

I saw the interview where Peter Fancinelli said he ran into Stephenie Meyer totally by coincidence at Disney land. What a nice dad to take his family there! Although I suppose when you live in California, it's not that big a deal to go there but still... very cool. Oh that's so great that he played Prince with the slipper for his wife. Too too cute. I never noticed before that he has kind of a high voice. He's making some wacky Showtime thing where he's a doctor who grabs women's breasts when he gets nervous. Edi Falco is in it too. He made it sound funny, but - glad I don't get Showtime!

Alex did a good job on 'Criminal Minds' because he was a bad guy, a serial killer nutjob, but he was trying to change/trying to stop because of this little boy who kind of reminded him of himself. It was pretty twisty but he felt the character had reasons why he became like that and was sorry and wanted to change so - not totally evil and wouldn't offend his fans.

Oh I had the WEIRDEST dream! I was taking care of these preemie triplets for somebody and they were like 2 or 3 inches long! They were SO tiny and didn't know what to do with them....put them in my bra to keep them warm. LOL, maybe that came from thinking about the Edward doll. giggle

Lots of doctor appointments lately for you! Maybe they'll have masks at the front desk and if you are worried, you could put one on. Although with claustrophobia, probably a mask is out for your mother to wear.

I have to admit, this flu thing is getting pretty scary. Although supposedly the cases in the US so far have been milder than the ones in Mexico and people are okay with medical treatment - it's not like there are bodies in the streets or anything.

Friday, woo! Seemed like a long week. I made progress though, I'm trying to edit some papers every day and tame the crazy pile of work. Sent off 2 yesterday, and one was a big one. Too bad about the poker game, though... fun for Mr ML, a pain for the rest of us.

Weather is so weird - a very chilly wind blew up and it got cold again last night - but this morning, it was warm and weirdly humid. But I think this is the warmest day and then it's getting colder again... Who can keep up? I tried calling the weather this morning, to see how to dress - and their line was busy!

Nothing was on TV last night so I baked cookies for the kids - they were very happy about that!

Uh Oh, Elmo's in trouble for going wee on the carpet. He doesn't wake you up when he has to go then, I presume.

Teddi-Behr Usually wakes me up if I'm sleeping if he has to go out, whether it be 3 or 4 am, which is what he's been doing lately even tho' I do let him out for a last call around 11. Maybe he's been drinking too much too?! I don't know?

He has me concerned lately too... he has hip dysplasia and he's been kind of stiff legged lately and sometimes after he's been sleeping a long time, I notice a bit of a limp, but then he kind of walks it off.

I think we're going to change his dog food and get one with less calories, because I'm sure his weight doesn't help as I fear he's gone over the 150lbs he was during last summer.

The thing is, he Hates the scale at the Vet's and we have such a hard time getting him on it, and it's not like we can pick him up and put him on it!

He's a really big dog with Big muscles, but he might be slightly over-weight now, even tho' the Vet has never said it, but he just might say it now... now that he's added a few more pounds over the winter.

Teddi's due for a couple of shots soon so we'll see what the Vet has to say then.

You worry about you kids, even your furry one!

I didn't know that Peter F. was making that wacky show! I don't get Showtime either, but if I did, I wouldn't be watching THAT kind of show!

I had no doubt that Alex O. did a good job on Criminal Minds. Glad he added more to the character than just being a crazed killer too.

You really do have the most facinating Dreams! And that's funny that you put the babies in your bra to keep them warm! LOL!

I dream about babies sometimes too, but it's mostly that the baby is mine! But I LOVE babies so maybe that's why I dream of them a lot? Who knows?

I know it's not funny, but it just cracked me up when you said about the Swine Flu and there not being bodies in the streets! (I know, I have a strange sense of humor. )

No, I'm really not worried about the Swine Flu for me, but for MOTHER. They say the elderly don't fare so well with it.

And you are right, she wouldn't wear a mask.

Glad you made progress this week in your work!

And yes, the poker game tonight... have you decided what movie you are going to watch yet?

Our weather has gotten colder too, and now they are predicting rain for like a week! I thought all that was OVER! Oh well, hopefully it won't be coming down in buckets!

I keep thinking about my Pain Specialist Dr. and how he's doing in China. I hope he's doing well while caring for all those peeps that were hurt in the Earthquake. I wish him safety and safe travels too.

I hope Everyone has a Great Day!

Biggest Hugs!

YAY, I finally finished an endless dictation from the boss

and I'm going to swing by, drop it off, and head on outta here! Woo!

Elmo is hard to get on the scale too, although they have one set into the floor that's a bit easier. I try to tempt him with a little treat to sit there until they get his weight - he's about 60 lbs - he's short, but he's very solidly built! My whippet was twice his height and half his weight! He's had his shoulder 'go out' a few times and scared us, but then it went back in again. The first few times, we took him to the vet. I have him on 'senior' food that has glucosamine for joints in it. Not that I'm sure that does anything.
:shrug;

LOL, was thinking the same thing about weight and joints with me. Oh well, I see the knee doctor next week. I wasn't going to go, but I'll give it one more try. I'm going to get the shot and go home and put my leg up this time and take the day off, not limp into work and be in pain all day! Hmm, guess I should mention this plan to the boss.

That's very nice of your doctor to go do relief work. One of my doctor friends here, a Chinese gal, went to help with the tsunami in Indonesia, and went with Doctors without Borders to Bosnia or someplace else scary! Some doctors are very brave/ really want to make the world a better place. And others want to make a lot of money and play golf!

I'm pretty sure we'll watch 'Doubt' tonight and if we're bored, I'll inflict 'Twilght' on them.

Those teensy babies in the dream were so weird - I didn't know how to feed them or diaper them - with what - a gauze pad? I was so worried! That was really a wacky one!

hey ML and Wen finally made it back .....it's odd how much less time I have when mom is here....she isn't demanding really it is just the time to bath/prepare food/remember meds/do excersizes...have to hang with her and talk some cause I'm it for the poor old gal....anyway it cuts into LALA time.

ML I'm glad you told me...I went back to my dictionary spot to check and it had the close to spellings on the right side...of course I can't know which one was right you are a saint for tollerating all my typos I know you guys love and don't judge...the beauty of our tiny world

Wen I hope you love your dolls if I was going to buy anything(and I have a feeling I might end up buying the hard copies of Eclipse and Breaking Dawn cause I'm halfway through BD for the second time and I think I might have to go for 3 times remember I borrowed those from my friends 11 yr old ) it would probably be dolls, maybe...I don't collect anything and now when I want to pare down it seems unlikely but they sound fun about the annoying guy at PT and all your appts yet to come.......a nurse at our MOPs at church today spoke cause at her office there are so many paniced calls about swine flu....she said it was milder that regular flu hope she is right....I will really have to surpress next week with Liz flying so much glad your weather is cooler .

ML Those babies sound like panda bear babies.....you do have the best dreams! I'm at the part in BD where the baby is born and Bella is becoming a vampire(maybe that is why the babies dream).....the story is interesting..come on what's not to love about a vampire/human/werewolf love triangle where the werewolf than falls for the vamp/human hybrid? Not much of a streatch Glad you had fun watching Kylexy boy! Uh oh ...doggie tee tee issues for finishing of the papers!

gonna post before I loose this

Hey JOFs, it's been a while since I've posted, although I've lurked a bit, because my RL has been totally bizarre. But I had to stop by to tell you about the TV show Bones, which by the way, had Brendan Fehr in his recurring role as Seely's brother. In this week's episode they were looking for the victim's "Cougar" and Temperance didn't know what that meant so Seely explained it to her, that it was a woman who likes younger men. So she says, "well, isn't that all women?" I cracked up and thought "I have to tell the JOFs!" Too funny!

Very funny! I'm not sure I like that 'Cougar' thing - although I suppose it's nicer that 'oogy-ladies' which is what we used to call them here! And of course you know what they call an older man with a younger woman: rich.

I was as shocked as Edward when that baby came along - I mean Jaw-droppingly shocked, had to close the book and put it down for awhile, because it flew in the face of all 'knowledge' about vampires! I guess only parts of them are 'undead'

Wen I started reading that Midnight Sun pdf you sent me last night - had to tear myself away from the computer and read about 30 pages before I knew it!

She really is a wonderful writer and it's a magical story.

Mr ML's poker guys are coming over - so of course he decided to run down to the park and play basketball for an hour before his company comes! MLette and I yelled at him and told him that isn't right.

The BF is back after being "away" - he was gone 2 months. sigh.

Whenever you get some LaLa time, we'll be glad to see you Podmom!

LOL, yes, they were like wee little marsupial panda babies. They were so cute though - with their teensy hands and their tiny smiles.

Hey gals!. I hope everyone around is doing fine. I found the othe thread closed and i tought omg!...but then i found this one,lol...*reliefe sign*. Sorry i haven't been around for the last 2 weeks; i've been pretty busy touring 3 cities in 3 days with Papa Roach(the gigs were amazing!!!...and it was so great to see the guys and talk to them); last weekend i went to Bristol to meet my newphew Rio who will be 3 months old tomorrow!!!!...he's the cutesst thing ever...i will try to post a picture of him...and then i've been working a lot. Finally today i can post something......but i need to read all you posts more slowly to catch up!!!

I had a very quiet b-day and i watched a lot of films, lol!!!Nothing special but at least i had the phone calls from my friends and my dad. Thanks y'all for you b-day wishes LOVE YOU!!!!

The other day i went to see "Wolverine" and i loved it. I have been waiting ages for this film and it didn't disappointed me at all...or maybe it's cos i love Hugh Jackman so much!!!
How Gorgeous!!!!!!...and he's such a sweetheart...i missed the premiere of "Wolverine" cos i was in Manchester for the PRoach tour...shame i couldn't meet Hugh in London

I've been catching up with the news about "New moon" and i really dislike the poster for the wolfpack; looks terrible in my opinion. I'm over the moon Michael Sheen will be Aro; he's such a great actor...and Bristish!!!...I have seen the clips from ET covering the filming and i don't know how Rob keeps an smile all the time when he's asked about the same thing over and over again. I just don't like Kristen at all...i think she's a bad actress...but i love Nicki Reed and see her pics and how she smiles all the time it's great...Kristen doesn't smile at all.

Ok guys..have to go...today i'm pretty busy at work...again 12 hours but i'm off tomorrow and Monday!!!!.....Missed you!!!!...take care and have a great weekend!!!!

xxxxx
