| Hi Everyone! ![]() ALERT THE MEDIA... MOTHER went home! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yep! Lainie brought her home last night after supper. She said her ankle was feeling better and that she wanted to go home. So, after 2 weeks, she finally felt well enough to go home!!! ![]() I've already spoken to her this morning and asked her how she did on her own over night, and she said that she did fine, and that she just made a simple breakfast, (cereal), and coffee, and she was getting along just fine. ![]() That's really good news because I had visions of her calling me to run over there to wait on her. Glad that's not happening! (sigh of relief!)MyrnaLynne, I'm so glad there was nothing seriously wrong with MLette's car, and that it was a quick fix. ![]() And yes, she certainly does have a very responsible job, managing such a facility. Kudo's to her for doing such a Great Job, and it being recognized! But grocery coupons instead of money??? What's up with that?! Hope all her raises and bonus's don't come like that! ![]() And yes, I do understand about the let down of reading the Last Book of a Series. I mean you're so excited about it being the last chapter, but then it's in your face... no more... it's the last chapter! Very mixed emotions about it. Oh, I didn't know John B. had an autobiography of his life out! I bet it's very interesting! I really like him! He's just sooo like-a-ble!!! I've caught a couple of interviews with him and I just LOVE when he does his Scottish accent! LOL! He's just so funny! He totally cracks me up! ![]() Poddy, I'm so glad to hear that Jan's Mom & Sis took you out for your Bday, and even got you a cake! And that's Great News that they have someone to help with Jan now! ![]() I'm so glad they showed you how special you are to them. ![]() And (LOL) that you want to pick up the 1st 'Twilight' book too! We'll All be reading it, thanks to MyrnaLynne's Great Praises of the series. ![]() I just got notice that my books will be here on the 14th now, so I have to wait a little longer for them than expected. I'm anxious to start reading!!! Vero, Yes, I agree with MyrnaLynne, that your family does appreciate you, but just aren't in the habit of telling you so. You truly are a Wonderful daughter, (and sister), and they are lucky to have you! ![]() I hope Everyone has a Great Weekend. ![]() Hugs to All, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | LOL, I didn't mean they gave her grocery coupons, I meant they gave her a bunch of $10 gift-cards for a supermarket. Admittedly, not as good as cash, but with the price of groceries, just as good as money! But since we get the groceries - we'll get her bonus, which kind of isn't fair to her.Oh gosh, speaking of money, it's been raining it this weekend! Well, not literally (it's been raining rain and plenty of it), but I balanced the checkbook and found a paycheck I never wrote in (hmm, no wonder I thought we were so short that week), plus the car insurance people refunded me a BIG check that came today, because I'd insured MLette through November, and since she got her new insurance with the same company, they just sent me the difference back - without my even having to ask them for it! Now, if they would just pick that lottery number of mine....![]() ![]() Terrific news Wen, that MOTHER has gone back to her own place again! Wow, it's been two weeks already? I must be getting old, because time is flying. Glad she's out of your place and back home again and taking care of herself. Yep, Captain Jack wrote his autobiography! Kind of hubris for somebody so young, but he's had an eventful life thus far. It's called "Anything Goes" (after the Cole Porter song, and probably goes with the mischief he gets up to also). Each chapter is a song title (and not one of them a song I recognize, and I thought I knew all of them.) I enjoyed it and laughed out loud more than a few times, plus it has all the cute photos. It just came out this year, I guess riding the tide of his Torchwood success. As his castmates said of him in the Torchwood extra stuff DVD, this was a role John B was born to play. ![]() And he isn't really putting on a fake Scottish accent exactly - he was born in Glasgow and lived there until he was 9 and then his dad transferred jobs to the US and everybody ragged him about the weird accent - so he and his one sister dropped the accent and spoke American, with the Americans - but at home and with each other, they still speak with the Scottish accent. It's very strange. I guess it's like when my brother gets around my parents, his Boston accent comes back. When I moved from Maine to Pennsylvania, everybody remarked on my 'cute' Maine accent and I got rid of it right away - for good! It's weird how they can switch the accent off and on - I suppose it's like being bilingual. That's so cool - I was in line at the gift shop at work and the guy spoke Spanish to the lady ahead of me and switched to perfect English with me. Cool. I was shocked to read that some fans were VERY unhappy with the last 'Twilight' book and how the series ended. Though I suppose no ending would satisfy everybody (people imagine/hope things turn out one way or another) and there was something that happened that did really surprise me a lot - didn't see that coming/didn't think it was possible (not giving any spoilers! Trying really hard here). And there were accusations of Stephenie Meyer being anti-feminist etc. Entertainment Weekly reviewed it and gave it a D! shrug. But I don't think I was unhappy with how it finished up, I was just sad that the 'ride' was over. LOL, I put on shorts and a summer shirt because I thought it would warm up - it was very cold and rainy. And I was freezing so I put on warmer clothes - and then didn't the sun come out and it warm up! Just can't get this clothes thing right for the weather (same with how many blankets on the bed - or none). Factor in the temperatures going up and down, with the hot flashes - ![]() LOL, I'd thought I'd seen everything as far as ads at the top of the page, but there was one for Fanforum! Too funny - um, aren't we here already? __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| MyrnaLynne, LOL, I knew what you meant by coupons (as in $ gift certificates) to a Supermarket, and not actual cents off coupons. LOL! But really, they should have given her actual $$ instead of gift cards, IMHO. And that's Great that you've had money pouring in this weekend! Bet you wished Every weekend was like that! ![]() And yes, I'm thrilled that MOTHER was feeling well enough to go back to her place. Believe me, that was a LONG two weeks! Oh, and I know that John B. wasn't 'putting on' his Scottish accent when he's with his family, because in his interviews he said that's just how he speaks with his family. But I just LOVE to hear him speak with his Scottish accent! And I meant that he just cracks me up,... that he's so funny! He's so personable, and funny, and just so like-a-ble! Just gotta love em'! It's funny about accents... how one's roots come out... like your Bro's when he's with your Dad. LOL! I tend to do that too, without even realizing it! My Lainie will call my attention to it, like if I'm talking to family or friends from back home, (MA) and if I get excited, I start speaking with the New England accent, and don't even know it! LOL! As of now, and the past 20+ years, I have a California accent, which is basically no accent at all. My No.2 son calls it the TV accent. LOL! And yes, New England weather is hard to keep up with. LOL! I forgot who said it, but the quote goes something like this... "Don't like the weather? Just wait a minute, it will change." And it's so true! New England weather is just like that! You could experience all 4 Seasons in one day! And I'm glad you liked the final Chapter of 'Twilight' better than a 'D' rating as I'd take your word for it more than some critic. ![]() Hope Everyone is having a Good One. ![]() Hugs to All, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | John Barrowman is hysterically funny! And just a wild man, as far as flashing his bum or whatever parts. Those theater people - not shy! I haven't really heard him talk much in his Scottish accent. I suppose it would sound like he was putting it on, like 'why is he talking like that?" - like when I heard Hugh Laurie talking with his real British accent - if you're used to watching "House" you think "Why is this guy pretending to have a British accent?" LOL!MLette and I just watched "No Reservations" that chef movie with Katherine Zeta Jones, and I heard her Welsh accent peek out now and again in the film - but it was really there when she was talking on the extra stuff/talking like herself and not acting. I like that Aaron Eckert (Eckhard?) too - but we weren't thrilled with the movie. It was a 'nice' story but... shrug! I rarely forgot they were all actors and believed any of them was the real characters. That Abigail Breslin is quite a good little actress too, for somebody so young. Accents are really easy to 'catch' - I remember being mortified as a kid at camp, when one of the cooks who was a big southern lady greeted me and said "How y'all doin'?" or whatever, and I answered her - with exactly the same accent! Gosh I was embarrassed! I must have been 8 or 9 years old or less at the time. I was so afraid she'd think I was making fun of her, but her accent was just very 'catchy'! ![]() That was yesterday (wait a minute, it will change) - beautiful day all morning into the afternoon and then BOOM, torrential rains for hours and hours and thunder and lightning. I don't ever remember such a wet summer or so many thunderstorms. The dog sticks right near me - he doesn't like thunder. Then again - who does?! I've been watching some of the Olympics (so nothing else on TV). It's pretty interesting. My favorite is the gymnastics. I can't believe I used to do some of that stuff when I was younger (I was always wayyy too tall to be a gymnast - then again 5'3 is tall to be a gymnast). I think sports are stupid, but you have to admire the dedication and art people put into doing something really really well - the best in the whole world. My niece is off to college next week! - on the other side of the US from her family in California. I guess my sister-in-law is having serious empty nest already - to rival what Podmom has been suffering recently. Only child and all that. ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" Last edited by MyrnaLynne : 08-11-2008 at 10:53 AM. | |||

| Yes, some Stars have shocked me with their accents, as I didn't know that they weren't American... like Bob (Hoskins?) from 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' I thought he was putting on when I heard him speaking with a British accent! LOL! Totally shocked me that he was British! ![]() It's funny, I lost my N.E. accent long ago, but MOTHER never lost her strong Proper N.E. accent. She still sounds like a Very Proper New England English Teacher! LOL! (I never spoke like her!) LOL! And my Bro' and sis-in-law still kind of have their N.E. accents too, and they have been out here over 20 years too. I haven't caught any of the Olympics yet, but I will. I like the gymnastics too, and also used to do it when I was younger, and was pretty good at it. Those were the days. ![]() Oh gosh, I can just imagine what your sis-in-law must be going thru' with her only child heading off to college across the country! My heart goes out to her. ![]() And yes, it does seem like you've really been having a lot of rain and thunder storms. We haven't had a drop of rain all Summer... but that's how our Summers are. Poor Elmo not liking the Thunder. A lot of dogs don't. My Teddi-Behr doesn't like loud noises either. ![]() I hope Everyone has a Great Week! ![]() Hugs to All, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | Rain.. more rain. I am starting to think I live in Forks, Washington (mythical town where 'Twilight' girl lives - rains a LOT there). ![]() Watched Michael Phelps win another gold medal last night - he was so far ahead of everybody else in the pool, it must feel like 'why bother' to the other guys. He is that good. Saw a piece on how he trains and you see why he's that good - it's all he does. He swims 6-7 HOURS a day, eats a lot (like 10,000 calories a day - or enough food for 5 normal people), sleeps, pats his dog, sits around, that's it! Swim, eat, sleep. Talk about dedicating your life to something. When he was 11 years old, his coach told his Mom, well, we need to start planning for the Olympics. Watched the synchronized men's diving too - oy, could they wear smaller bathing suits? That has to be one of the strangest (and gayest) of sports. Not only do you have to do a perfect dive off a scarily high cement platform, but you have to do it exactly the same/at the same time as the guy who jumps off and does it next to you. Very strange. LOL! Although I suppose not as weird as that synchronized swimming where the women do those Busby Berklee routines in the pool. ![]() I like the sports, like gymnastics, where you can watch and see if they are good or make mistakes yourself - it's obvious. They fall off, they wooble, they step outside the line, they make bad landings. I am just in awe of how strong those little gymnastic folks are. I guess I admire anybody who does anything really well! LOL, which wouldn't describe Mr ML and any sort of house fixing project! ![]() I told Mr ML I wanted to be in the Olympics so I could get away with eating 10,000 calories. He pointed out that it would require me doing some sort of exercise.__________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| LOL, just last night I was saying "That Wii looks fun (in the commercial).. but we are NOT getting a Wii!" But maybe we'll get one for Mr ML Jr's birthday in September -he's pretty hard to shop for. Although maybe we should find him a JOB for his birthday first - ahem. Anyway, hope Podad likes his birthday surprise! A week in the OC sounds very nice - was just thinking about you - was reading an article a guy wrote about the Jersey Shore in (?) AARP magazine, he travelled down the coast and checked out the different town there. Glad Liz and Walter can come down too. Oh look, what's that brightness out the window - oh yeh, I remember - the sun! ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| Hi Everyone! ![]() The Wii is a lot of fun! My kids have one and they really enjoy it! No.2 son and Lainie not only play games on it, but they read the News on it, see the world's weather on this cool globe of the Earth, go on line and even watch youtube video's, you name it, the functions are endless! It's a really nice system. ![]() Poddy, to Poddad! I hope you all enjoy yourselves in OC as I'm sure you will! ![]() And yes, MOTHER went home and is doing quite well, TG! (sighs in relief!) She says her ankle still hurts, but it is getting better. Yay! MyrnaLynne, Glad you're getting some sunshine now. Hope it lasts for a while. Were still reaching temps near 100* in the blazing sun! TG for air conditioning! ![]() And yes, those Olympians are amazingly dedicated! But they have that special something that drives them, and that's why I think they become the Best! (IMHO) ![]() Hope Everyone is having a Good One! ![]() Hugs to All, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | Hey all!!! How is everyone? ![]() I'm ok but I had a few busy days. We had the Av 9th fast (it's almost like Yom Kipur but we can watch TV and activate electricity). Anyway that one was hard. I was just so weak at the end of it and it took me quite a while to get over that. But I'm fine now.Yesterday I met a few friends. We had a nice lunch (with their kids which was nice) and talked. It has been a while since we've done that so that was great. ![]() And today my sister and I did the 1st thing you have to do before going on a vacation…. Wax! Usually my mom does that for us but we decided to do it alone this time and we did… and we're fine so all is well. ![]() ML, sounds like MLette wonderful at her job! She is very responsible! And Sounds like she's great at managing that place.![]() I'm sorry to hear you're so sad about finishing the books. But you can re-read them again whenever you feel like it. But you're right it is kinda sad when you're finishing something you enjoy very much… like you're not sure you'll find something else to enjoy… Hope you'll keep enjoying (re-reading the books) and that you'll find something new to love.![]() You're right! That's exactly the problem with my family! We don't really say we appreciate things… we just expect people to know that… But thanks for saying that.![]() Maybe the fans think that if they say the ending wasn't too good the writer will write another book (to set the record straight ). But the most important thing is that you've enjoyed it! Cold? Rain? Already? I guess fall/winter is getting you way… we're still have a very hot weather. July-August are the warmest months over here… usually. Sorry that it's getting cold over there… I hope it won't get too cold too fast.I never noticed that about accents… I guess it's because over here most people sound the same… and even if they don't it's not something that draws to much attention (unless it's an American accent ).I've been watching a little of the Olympics too. And I just love gymnastics too! Sometimes they do some beautiful things there. I wish I could have done half of what they do… I can't even stand on my hands… which is supposed to be simple. I also love figure swimming and swimming. I don't watch it regularly but when I have the chance it's nice.![]() Yea all of those athletes who get to the Olympics invest a lot in their sports. It's admiring really… especially with the fact they usually start at an early age. Good luck to your niece. I hope she'll find her place there. It must be exciting for her, to leave and go someplace far to school. But then it must be hard on her parents. Wen, happy to hear mom went home! I hope she'll leave you alone to relax for a little while. You deserve some time off. Glad she's getting along at home alone. Thanks for the kind words. Coming here always busts up my self asteem.![]() podmaommy, happy birthday to podad! And have a safe drive to OC! That's great that Liz and Walter to come and celebrate the birthday with you guys. Too bad Em couldn't come. ![]() I have no idea if I get to post again before we leave to the Dead Sea (on Sunday) so if I don't I'll see you when I get back. ![]() all__________________ Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.----- Baz Luhrmann You don't have to be crazy to be my friend.... | Have a good vacation VB - Tisha B'Av, that one always sneaks by me. Big sad holiday in the middle of summer! And of course the High Holidays are now just around the corner! That really means the summer is over. I could never stand on my hands either! Could sort of do a halfway cartwheel, maybe a split. I used to be pretty athletic and did some gymnastics (long long ago and far far away!) Used to be a fast runner and had strong arms, could to stuff on the rings. Now if I can walk from my office to the subway, it is an accomplishment. sigh. ![]() Wow, Michael Phelps got 2 more gold medals last night - and every time somebody swims, they make a new world record. And five minutes later, set even a faster record. Quite amazing. He is so far ahead of anybody else, it is almost embarrassing to watch - if I was the other swimmer, I would want to give up! Yes, about starting young. I heard last night the Chinese take little girls at 3 away from their parents and put them in gymnastic academies! Reminds me of the old Soviet Union - they did stuff like that with athletes and also dancers. The Chinese have a very long view of history and they will plan for generations, and they have been planning to host these olympics and to win lots of medals. Those Chinese gymnasts were so cute - also the Chinese divers - excellent. US girls flubbed up last night, fell off the beam, fell on their butts, stepped out of the line on the floor - tsk tsk. That definitely was 'the agony of defeat'! Oh well, perfection under pressure isn't so easy. Easy to sit on the sofa at home and find fault! ![]() I think Michael Phelps was like Jason - a 'little wild man' when he was young, so his mother put him into swimming to use up his extra energy, like Jason went into acting. Olympic quality, both of them! ;> And both have made their mothers very proud. Can you imagine being 23 years old and such a huge success/making history/breaking records? What does a person do after that, with the rest of their life? Mark Spitz went on to become a dentist Skater Tenley Albright went to Harvard and became a doctor after the Olympics. Oh well, right now he can concentrate on winning more medals, later he can think about what else to do. sigh. Not raining today (yet) but it was so cold this morning! In the mid 50s (12.8 C)! Wish I could send some coolness out to you Wen baking in that 100 degree heat. Things are very lush and green with all this rain. Interesting mushrooms coming up! LOL! I didn't know you could do anything but play games on a Wii! That's interesting. I should look into it. (although I don't want Mr ML Jr having 'fun' at home, I want him finding another job!) sigh. MLette's birthday is around the corner (next week) and all I have for her so far is a card and we don't even have a plan for her party yet. The BF is taking her on a trip next weekend. I want to get her prescription sunglasses for driving her new car - but you can't surprise somebody with those! LOL! You have to get an eye test and pick out what you like, get them fitted to your face, etc. ![]() I stayed up way too late watching the Olympics - why don't they put the 'good stuff' on earlier? Ugh, they had hours and hours of boxing - I can't look at that! I can barely keep my eyes open today... ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| Hi ![]() Well I'm here in OC (thanks for the good vacation wishes guys) Podad is naping andI have been reading the best book a friend lent me last night( the newly reaquainted high school friends took me out for a Bday dinner(very sweet of them) and the musician one lent me a book I have to tell you girls about, especially ppl my age,.......it's Girls Like US...by Shiela weller....biograpy of Carol King,Joni Mitchel and Carly Simon.....riveting for me who admires them all but really was into Joni...........fascinating andsoso well writtenand very evocative of our times and relative to our lives now...I'mthrillled to have a book like yours ML that is like sitting down to a rare treasure. vB Fasting is wriiten about in the NEw Testament too....I have often thought of doing it but never have...you might have inspired me....now remind me of that cause I will forget to do it Your waxing comment cracked me up ![]() Wen Me niether...didn't know the wii had those capabilities...interesting. We had fun with Liz and Walters over Christmas....I'm hoping it will be something we can all get into even Viv tried to get the wii fit but couldn't get it...will keep trying....hoping we cando that too....podad needs excercise(unlike MrML) he works hard at a very very stressful job and smokes heneeds help and he loves video games.....hoping this works. Tell mom my foot still hurts a little when I swim but to just power through! ![]() ML This cool snap does remind one of fall...it's still warm here just not blazing.......mRMLjr will find a job....try not to worry he is used to working so he will get bored soon and look....I'm sure of that...youth can only take so much laying around.....this time next year it will be interesting to review what he's doing ![]() ok podad is up and needs to be fed ![]() ![]() __________________ ![]() | |||

| That book sounds great! I have read some articles about those gals and their lives are pretty fascinating. I definitely need a new book! Love all those gals, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, Carole King. Joan Baez - ahh, our generation! ![]() Yes, Mr ML Jr is getting bored already. I think maybe he might need to take a course and brush up his computer skills or something like that, before somebody will hire him to do that stuff. Maybe you can get Podad off the chair and jumping around with the Wii - although Isaac Hayes (?) just found lying dead next to his treadmill confirms what I've always thought about exercising - it could also kill you! Mr ML is healthy and thin and sporty - but his dad was thin and active too, and had a heart attack and I think emphysema from smoking too. Worrying about our mates...Sad about Bernie Mac, too - It's surprising when stuff like that kills 'young' people nowadays. Like poor Jim Henson - sometimes the medicine is too late and they can't fix it. I think Bernie M was a very devoted husband, father, etc, aside from a pretty funny comedian. LOL, about waxing for the beach. I've never tried it! I am such an old fossil.__________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||

| Hi Everyone! ![]() Vero, When I didn't see you posting, I thought you had already gone on vacation... but I thought it was strange that you wouldn't post and say goodbye 1st. Didn't realize that you might be busy instead, like you were. Sorry the Fast was hard on you. Glad you are feeling better now from it. Yes, Fasting can be hard. I used to Fast a lot, (for religious reasons too), when I wasn't Diabetic, but I can't do that anymore, (I just Fast for bloodwork now).I'm so glad you had a chance to meet with friends and go out to lunch with them. That's always so much fun! ![]() And yes, MOTHER is staying put at home, and I've had the chance to kick back and relax! It's been so nice! LOL! Now I can take care of myself, and keep my feet up when my legs swell like I'm suppose to. But when MOTHER was here, I couldn't because I was waiting on her hand and foot, & jumping up and down, day & night, constantly for her! And you Really Are a Good Daughter and Sister! ![]() And Waxing = YeeeOUCH! Glad you survived that too! (The price we pay for beauty!) LOL! Have a Wonderful Time on Vacation!!! ![]() MyrnaLynne, Thanks, I sure could use some cool weather sent my way! It went to 103* today and at 9pm tonight, it was still 95*! UGH! TOO HOT!!! ![]() Yes, the Wii is a very multi-functional system! It also has a Wii Shopping Channel where you can buy new or old games and download them right onto the system so you don't even have to go to the store to buy new games! Also you can download FREE games right to your DS! Now that's really something! Also, you can see video demo's of new Wii games and new games to come. It helps to see the games in advance to see which ones look interesting, or not. And of course, having the internet on the Wii is very nice! Plus it has a lot more than I'm telling you... too much to list! It's just a really nice system, and I think Mr. ML Jr. would Really like it for his Birthday. ![]() I think that's a really nice gift that you want to get MLette, (prescription sunglasses) for her Birthday. But I hear what you're saying... that you want to get her a surprise gift too. Has she given you any hints on what she might like? My No.2 son's Birthday is coming up this Sept. too, (the 8th), and I have no idea what to get him either. ![]() Well, my 'Twilight' series arrives tomorrow! I'm so excited! I can't hardly wait to start reading!!! ![]() Poddy, That book you are reading does sound really interesting! I too really admire all those women! Love Carole King lots! I'm so glad you are enjoying it! I'll have to check it out after I finish the 'Twilight' series. ![]() Speaking of books... MOTHER's book arrived today and she is so thrilled! She ordered the new Tori Spelling book, (sTori Telling), as she's become quite a fan since she's been watching the Tori and Dean show. At 1st she thought Tori was just a spoiled rich brat, but once she started watching the show, she thinks that she's not like that at all. And she thinks that she's had the worst mother ever! And that Tori's a loving mother and a very giving person. She also watches 'John & Kate plus 8'. She just loves that show too! She tries never to miss it. Plus she watches all those 'Sell this House' and 'Clean House' and alike. Personally, I don't watch much TV,(and NEVER those shows!), so while she was here, needless to say, I ended up watching a lot of TV (so much so that I wanted to scream!), but she wanted me with her while she watched these shows. But I would try to sneak off when I could to read the Thread, but she would always start bellowing for me. (sigh)Oh, and I told her about what you said that your foot still hurts when you swim and that you just have to power thru', and her remark was that she didn't want to over do it because her foot still swells quite easily. ![]() She's going to baby it, no matter what anyone tells her. (sigh) And I've seen her foot where she thinks it's quite swollen, but it's really not. It's all in her head! ![]() I think Poddad will really enjoy the Wii! Not only for the games, but for all the other things it can do too! ![]() Scottie, Are you back yet from vacation? Just wondering. Miss you! ![]() Hugs to All, ![]() Wen __________________ JB's Obsessed Fan#64 ( I LOVE JASON BEHR!!!) ![]() "God never gives you more than you can handle. | Oh gosh, Mr ML's bossy sister called - she's organizing another family cruise - in 2010! Talk about planning ahead! The thought of her trying to boss me around for 12 days trapped together on a ship makes my blood run cold, but Mr ML loves the idea and wants to go. Well, I love the idea of taking another trip, too - but I can't promise I won't blow my top and throw his sister overboard! Five days with her was more than I could stand and this is more than twise as long! I'd love to take my Dad on a cruise but the logistics seem complicated, plus ships don't like to put one person in a cabin. Guess Mr ML Jr could come and be his roommate. I can't see Mr ML Jr enjoying a cruise though - he'd just want to be online. Oh well, he'd like the Johnny Rocket food! LOL! He's like to go to the kids/teen part of the ship, but he's too old for that. They'd think he was a creepy guy. MLette can't fast either - she faints. She's a fainter. Poor kid was at work soo late again yesterday - had to take a client to the hospital again, and you know how many hours an ER visit takes - forever! She didn't get home til 9 pm. I had no idea the Wii has so many features. I have just watched Mr ML Jr buy game system after game system (and see them pile up and gather dust - he never parts with the old ones) and I just hate to see another one come into the house! It would be an awesome gift though. It's not me who wants to surprise MLette - she likes to be surprised - with exactly what she wants - while not giving anybody a single hint of what she'd like! Drives us all crazy, especially her boyfriend. She's so hard to shop for, because she won't give you a clue what she'd like. But she's also very particular. Her birthday is coming up so fast! And 20 days later, it's Mr ML Jr's birthday. They both had the same due-date - one was 10 days late, the other 10 days early (well, actually they were both exactly on time for themselves!)Oh wow, 103 is way too hot. 95 is way too hot!! I hope it cools down out there. I like this weather - one of the nicest summers I can recall - we only had about 3 or 4 really hot unbearable days, I think, the entire summer. Hmm, probably shouldn't say that too loud, or it might warm way up! ![]() I looked at that Girls book - think I'll wait and ask for it for Hanukah or something (if I can remember that long!) LOL! I might get it for some friends as a gift, too. Great idea! Skipped the Olympics last night and got some sleep. Why do they have to put the good stuff on every night just as I'm about to go to bed? So not fair. Again all they had was boxing all evening. Ugh, I refuse to watch boxing. I wouldn't even watch that Clint Eastwood movie about the boxing girl. Ugh - boxing. What kind of a sport is two guys beating the c**p out of each other? ![]() __________________ Jason B is #1 with me "I'm with the vampires" | |||
