YAYYYY!!! I was starting to go into serious FF withdrawal and was afraid I'd never be able to meet with my friends again! It's been down since last Friday - oy oy oy.
I was really afraid FF was gone for good. PHEW!

LOL, and it turns out they were just running some sort of debugger thing and it took waaaayyyy longer than they expected! Boy, isn't that always the way with computers.

Here are the two faces of my pumpkin that MLette snapped (the little blur behind them is me and my sweater):

I really like the more 'traditional' face the best. tried to be creative, after we watched that pumpkin carving challenge on Food Network, but didn't like the results. Sniff - Poor Mr Moldy Pumpkinhead just went out to the trash today. So much for making pies out of it!

I am SO torn about going to see the 'Twilight' boy Friday - people are planning to be up at that mall at 4 or 5 a.m. (or camping out if they can overnight), to be there to get the t-shirt/wristbands to meet him/get his autograph, and then he isn't showing up until 6 p.m that night! So it would be a trip up there at crack of dawn, and then a return trip. sigh. Plus, I heard that his first appearance on Monday, in San Francisco, was cancelled by the cops because the mob was so huge and wouldn't line up nicely etc. So - who knows? Mr ML is willing to drive me up there but it truly sounds like it's going to be a nightmare/zoo. And with my luck, I'd be person #501 in line (only 500 people can meet him) - oh yeh, and it's suppose to be pouring rain Friday here too! Why I keep thinking I should give it a shot, I don't know. It's not like I'm crushing on the lad or anything...

They are running the 'Twilight' commercials a lot and the movie looks very exciting!

Gosh I missed this place!

Oh, we're really enjoying 'Dancing with the Stars' even though I was reluctant to start watching it this year. Not that involved - I don't care who wins at this point - I like everybody, but I was glad the little blond boy didn't get voted off last night. But they are all good. I can't believe Julianne Hough was dancing after having her appendix out a week or two ago! I know with laparoscopic you recover faster but - that was just unbelievable!!

I am still liking 'Eli Stone' too, although probably nobody else is watching that. And I kept getting up and walking out during 'House' - it made me that uncomfortable! LOL! It really is a silly show - this half dozen doctors who only work on a single patient each week!

MyrnaLynne, I was having Terrible FF Withdrawal too! I'm sooo glad it's back!!!

It's sooo good to be able to 'talk' to you and see your posts again!

Love your pumpkin! You did a Great Job carving it! And I Love the idea of carving Both sides! Very Smart! I really like the traditional pumpkin carvings too! Altho' if someone is Very Gifted, then I say go for it! LOL! I, for one, am not a gifted person when it comes to carving pumpkins. LOL!

And I Really Like Eli Stone too!!! Very Good Show!!! And I missed HOUSE last night. But I did get to see Eli Stone tho', and really enjoyed it, as I usually do!

Not so much singing this Season... kind of miss that, but it's still a good show!

I still haven't seen dancing with the Stars. I'll catch it one of these days. LOL!

And yes, I've actually seen 'Twilight' trailers now on TV, and I think it looks a lot like the books, so maybe we will like the movie after all. I am willing to give it a try anyway.

And I think Rob P. has kind of captured Edward's smile, or the way Bella describes it in the book. From what I've seen in the Trailers, he has a nice smirk/smile and that's how I pictured Edward's smile.

What do you think?

At 1st, I did not like the casting of Rob P. for Edward, but he's growing on me. I still think that they should have gotten an Unknown Drop Dead Gorgeous Actor, but Rob P. just might fill Edward's shoes and do a good job after all.

I just freaked because he was from Harry Potter, and I just saw THAT character playing Edward! (Shiver!!!) But gratefully, Rob can act, or so it seems he can be different characters anyway, thank goodness. LOL!

And here I live Right By San Francisco, and never even heard about them cancelling Rob's appearance! LOL! Geesh, I guess MOTHER has Really been taking up ALL of my time that I haven't even watched the News or very little TV at all!

I wonder if the rest of the tour will be like that... A mob scene wherever he appears?!

I have to go...

Hugs,
Wen

Here's a link to the news story about Rob in San Francisco - hope it works... (yep it's there, you have to wait through the commercial bit though)

Yahoo!

Seems like they sent the girls away for rushing the door - told everybody to go home, it was cancelled. And then they had a change of heart and let them in - so all the girls who went home missed out! That was very unfair. And poor Rob looks totally exhausted and frazzled too, and he's been doing this all week. The actors have complained about poor security too - the malls/stores had no idea that THOUSANDS of screaming fans were going to show up (at the crack of dawn) and hysteria would ensue. And poor Kristen is just 18 or so. sigh. I hope it all goes smoothly and they're okay. It's a bit much, a different city every day for a week! And all those hoardes of screaming, screaming girls (and Moms).

Yep, I've decided I'm not going up to see Rob, much as it hurts my heart, because it's just all a bit too much. Getting too old for this stuff! LOL! But I'm sorry about it. Kills me to know he'll be just up the road on Friday.

I was surprised they picked him for the role at first too - he's more odd looking/striking, than handsome, and isn't 'most gorgeous guy on earth' gorgeous like Edward in the book (but then, that's seen through the eyes of love, but he seems to have had that effect on every woman who looked at him, ahem, so it wasn't just Bella's imagination - he's gorgeous). But as I read somewhere, they wanted somebody gorgeous who could also look menacing/ dangerous as well, not just a pretty face - somebody who could really act and carry this movie (and their hoped-for series of movies). This has to make over $125 million in the box office for them to make #2, something like that I read. I just think you look at that face and he's so pale and angular and strange looking - he could BE a vampire! He fits the bill. I'm hoping the movie isn't going to be terrible.

I just joined up with the TwilightMoms so I could see what was going on with the appearances and happening in Boston on Friday. sniff!

GOOD NEWS! Mr ML Jr was due to go to that second interview down in Rhode Island and the 'we'll hire you in January' people called up today - and HIRED HIM! And he starts MONDAY!! Of course now he's a nervous wreck and freaking out and needs to go buy clothes for work (I told him he needs to see what the people wear there and then he can get some more stuff). LOL, he figures the guy they hired before him didn't work out/got fired/quit so they hired him instead!

I just told my Dad and he had good news - my uncle (his brother) who needs surgery can have it via a vein, like a cardiac cath, and it should be very noninvasive and he should (we hope) be fine! LOL, like the gal on Dancing with the Stars, he'll be up and dancing again in no time (well, he's 80ish, so maybe it will take a little more time).
