Dapper Mr B the night of the NY TSN premiere - sigh! The night I hugged him and kissed him and blurted out that I loved him. :0

He will have to be dusting off his premiere duds again soon! (Or maybe buying something new?) LOL!

I thought all the gay men were over in New Zealand (the better to meet Ian McKellan) - heh. Well, I suppose Heath Ledger (former dancer, really bad dresser) is doing his bit to undo the rugged Aussie stereotype, he's so scrawny. I think Crocodile Dundee is the archetype ("Now THIS is a knife!") tough Aussie guy, though. Now that he's a daddy, Russell's gone all soft and mellow. [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img]

Thanks Poddy! I thought I saw that Century City was on after Gilmore Girls (something about a child actor? - subject of interest!) Thank goodness, an alternative to One Tree (makes me)Ill.

My little cookie is dying [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] ...if she makes it thru the night the vet is coming at 11 tomorrow to put her to sleep.....really really sad and hard...me and Em are a mess....just tip toeing around trying to help her....she's spending alot of time in Ems tub [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] she likes it there...or under a bed or staggering around a wee bit...we've had her and Oreo for 16 yrs ...intellectually I know she's a cat and has had a wonderful life but it's just a tough transition [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] lifes full of them..I just need a transition break for a while [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] ....really sorry to be a bummer lately....I much prefer being funny than sad so I'll be getting back there as soon as possible...will deff watch Hornblower boys show to take a break...hey ML did you catch it Saturday?

Watched Century City tonight - Hornblower guy is outstanding (tho I notice he has a really big nose - heh) but the show wasn't as good. He really can sell the story, though, Mr Ironing Board. Mr ML tried to watch it but it was too weird for him and he left.

Speaking of ironing board, did you catch Carson giving ironing lessons on Queer Eye? As if anybody could learn to iron a dress shirt that quick! [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

I saw the OC last night. And watched it again tonight. CTV in Canada is making up for being truly EVIL about how they aired Roswell weeks behind the US by airing the OC on Mondays. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Any ways... I have seen this weeks episode with Colin Hanks... and am now bursting to discuss said episode! Giggle! [img]smilies/pinkie.gif[/img]

I also watched Century City tonight and enjoyed the episode. Tried to watch on Saturday night... but the basketball game went on and on and on... so they didn't air Century City on cable here. Sigh. But I did watch enough of the basketball game that I was starting to get into it. Hey... tall muscular young men in shorts, etc.

ML--Heath Ledger is a sullen little boy. Or he was when I worked with him on Ned Kelly. I don't know if he's shy or just very rude, but all I ever got out of him was monosyllabic grunts. Orlando was *much* friendlier! [img]smilies/eyebrows.gif[/img]

I wash my hands of all Aussie men, they are either beer guzzling, cricket worshipping buffoons, or Gay Pride marching nancy boys. I cannot win. I had to dump my last boyfriend in the supermarket carpark because he couldnt make up his melon over whether he wanted a bagel or not. [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img]

It's not rocket science, it's a friggin bagel.

Anyhoo, I don't know why Carson bothers to teach any man how to iron a shirt--As id any straight guy knows how to turn an iron on, or even where it is kept. Actually, I don't even know where my own iron is kept. I refuse to make ironing a priority, unless of course it's Ironing-Board Gruffud. [img]smilies/drool.gif[/img]

Well, my obsessive-compulsive brother (who I think has now graduated to manic-depressive) was a real bug about ironing, but then he was also a fashion plate dresser, and my pals and I were always wondering whether he wasn't secretly gay. Two wives and one kid later, we suppose not, but he is the king of ironing. He was the original metrosexual.

That Queer Eye makeover guy obviously had money, it would have made more sense if Carson taught him the concept to 'dry cleaner' or drop-off laundry instead of trying to teach the boy to iron in one easy lesson (and dress shirts! They are the trickiest! Start him on pillowcases and work your way up - giggle). He was a nice guy, his girlfriend was super mean, and anybody who has a dog and doesn't bother to housebreak it (and feeds it from the table with a fork!!! that was her) is an idiot anyway, and deserves to live in squalor.

Ohh, didn't know you'd worked with Heath and Orly in the flesh Sarzy. Much coolness! Heath does seem a bit grumpy and monosyllabic, while young Orlando is a jumping bean of chatty energy. Amazing a vegetarian can be that energetic. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Though I've often thought the theater is just the job for hyperactive energetic types who could never make themselves sit still at a desk job for 5 minutes. Forget pillowcases, when my poor mother attempted to teach me how to iron, she started me on hankies. You really can't go wrong on something that's made of cotton, and is square and flat.

Working on Ned Kelly was alot of fun, a real testosterone-fest. I've told this story elsewhere before, but when I met Orly I'm ashamed to say I didnt even know who he was. This was mid 2001 I think, and LOTR had only just come out. How embarrassing, I'm sure I wouldve been more nervous when I met him, I just thought he was a cute little nobody! And I think Heath is really a man's man, he likes his beer and his sport and his smokes and doesnt really talk unless he has too.

I can't wait to see the QE epi you're referring to, Australia is 2 epis behind the States--Which makes Modding the QE Board quite difficult simetimes! Meh, thank God for the BravoTV website.

'Saucy badger'! That's you all over Sarzy! I'll take your word on the machismo of Heath, I know he's been dating that lady what's her name - on again, off again, now on again. And if he actually were gay, they'd never cast him to play a gay cowboy in that Brokeback Mountain thing.

Orly also has some of the world's most bizarre taste in outfits, although I suppose all the LOTR boys compete for the bizarre outfit prize. I think that's why some people go into acting - for the stylists/ wardrobe and hair people! [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

Then again, maybe their taste is fabulous and avante garde and I am just old and behind the times. I remember how hard we laughed at Jason's glasses but then discovered they had sneaked back into the very stylish height of fashion again while we were looking the other way. (Mr ML had a similarly stylish-looking pair of eyeglasses issued to him by the US Army - giggle.)
