So on my way to catch up on the thread, my mother called, then I remembered I hadn't been on the OTOs, then it was late and I still hadn't eaten supper (Mr. LTL being out of town), then somehow I ended up watching Mel Gibson in What Women Want (and I had meant to watch Century City), but now I have to go to bed because I have to get up in 5 hours to catch a flight to see #1 son in FL. Phew -- that was all in one breath.

podmom: ITA on the TV snobs And it's so great to find others who like the sci-fi/romance combo and the eye candy that stars in them.

sarzy:Ironing is usually done on a board with an iron, not with the hands while the subject is still wearing his shirt or pants. Does it still appeal?

Lynx: Yeah, with that Roswell three-fer on the guy's shirt -- how could I *not* ask him. He didn't even ask me why -- just said, sure, yeah, go ahead.

Hope all germs leave everyone's household.

Frankly, no. I just want someone to press my Steam button.

God that was rude.

Sorry.

so many ironing metaphores so little time....the funny thing is I started the whole ironing thing cause I'm too darn old to even imagine doing anything else for the boy....and upon reflection there are double entendras out the wazoo ...you got your starching...........ok I'm pulling the plug on myself right there before I even get started

I was just waxing lyrical on my tivo over on Daves thread Sarz..and looking up song titles from The OC.........do you get that yet in OZ? they also do a great music selecting job....my present fav is from the pilot......Honey and the Moon by Joseph Arthur if anyone wants to check it out...huantingly sweet and melodic

Well, to paraphrase my Mom about bathing, you "kiss up as far as possible, down as far as possible, and then kiss possible!" At least that was my method, with JB in the 'kissing booth.'

Actually that ironing 'perfect husband' makes me quite nervous, because if I were that guy, I certainly wouldn't want my 'family jewels' that close to a hot steam iron! LOL, sort of like the home improvement show we were watching and MLette commented that the carpenter guy was working with power tools and hefting lumber around - while wearing flipflops on his feet! OSHA violation! LOL!

(Federal agency that goes around checking on workplace safety, for all you non-US JB lovers.) Damn, word of advice - don't put asides inside the wavy brackets "{" because the computer ignores/deletes those!

Carpenting (New Word!) wearing flip flops?!?! That's just plain foolish, I expect better from my Televisual Handymen!

Podders--In keeping with the tradition that all Aussie TV Programmers are TOTAL MORONS we got just 3 precious epis of my beloved O.C before it was brutally cut down in it's prime, and removed without further notice. Hmmmmm, where have I seen that happen before? Oh yes, with a little show I like to call Roswell. 3 epis in 2000, didn't come back til the start of 2002. Egads! What is wrong with these people, do they not realise I need spunky faux boyfriends like I need the air to breathe! Buggers, the lot of them. Luckily most of my life is lived online (What is this 'offline' that people speak of? Tried it once, didnt take) so I am so au fait with all things O.C-ish.

Well I'm blowing this popsicle stand ladies, got work on the 'moro.

Happy Sunday to you all!

Evil OZ programmers, to tantalize Sarzy with the 'OC' and then snatch it away again! It is such a fun and funny show, with a fine quota of cute guys and teen angst and snappy dialogue and wit. I hope you get it back! They took a 3-week hiatus and I've been missing it like crazy. A week is just better with a dash of 'OC' in the middle of it!

There is a huge subculture of cute TV carpenters and handymen I've discovered since we got cable TV (and also since they did a shirtless profile of some of the top ones in a recent TV Guide). I like the one on 'Clean Sweep' - not for his looks particularly - big blond messy surfer type guy (since JB is 'my type, you can obviously see big surfer blondes are so NOT), but he's just funny and one heck of a great builder - he makes all these amazing things for the people they are helping re-do their messy houses (please, Lord, send them my way soon!!). He loves his pneumatic nail gun thingie, and when he puts things together, the backdraft of air from the gun makes all his blonde hair fly up - giggle.

There is some other guy on a different show who drives my friend nuts, because her dad was a carpenter (and a fine one) and this guy might be cute but he never builds anything right! Always messes every job up! LOL!
I guess they keep him around because he's cute.

Speaking of carpenting - here's a nice big manly JB arm that would do any carpenter proud! I think this pic first ran in an Australian TV Guide cover

G'day mate!

Oh I think he's probably pretty (secretly) proud of his hotness, although maybe when it gets a bit too beef cake-y, he just has to laugh. All in a days work! Only instead of carpentering, his work is hotness!

Just love that down of hair on his manly arm and those cute little freckly things... sigh!

Ahhh big manly man arms from the lovely manly manlyness of the manly JB!

Hmmmm I think have some sort of man fixation. Who knew?

That pic of yours ML first ran in a teen hotties type mag called Big Hit. Kinda like TigerBeat or similar. The moronic programmers of Oz TV would never have the foresight to put JB in the OZ TV Week, which is our version of the TV Guide.

Morons, the lot of them! (Do you know how many letters I had to send to get them to play the final season of Roswell??)

Our mis-information - whoever posted it originally (this version I have is from J14, will have to check around for the earlier one) said it was from the Australian TV guide. That one was also printed 'flopped' and reversed, for some reason (thought his manly arm looked better on the other side?). I kind of thought they chose that one because Australian guys are so manly and macho, they wanted a really manly looking big-armed pic of JB, to appeal to the fans down under. giggle. None of that slender sensitive guy stuff in OZ! LOL! Although the hair gel and earring might detract a little from the overall machismo of the piece. heh.

When your big Australian icon is Russell Crowe, I'd gladly accept a hair gel and earring wearing sensitive guy!

I have no idea where all the big tough strong manly Aussie men are hiding, all my male friends are gay!
