Wow yeah that's crazy they have that but no running water. So bizarre! Like how do they get internet but not water? Fascinating!!

Yeah it's messed up. But I guess having internet, technology etc. has helped in other ways....

And maybe because water is easy to get through lakes or rivers or rain water! That's how i remember us getting water in Philippines!

In some parts. But mainly you need to walk to a well, and if it doesn't rain there's no water and the government has to deliver it, which costs far too much.
But, in recent years, more and more fresh water pumps are popping up all over the place, which definitely makes a difference. __________________

Yes the water pumps and wells! That's what Philippines had! I use to always want to help pump water or get the bucket down the well when I use to stay at the province. As a kid I thought it was pretty neat, because back at the city our water came in faucets. What's nice though is that my family who lived in the province were all really happy! I always looked forward to visiting them because they had so little but they found ways to always enjoy themselves! I use to stay with them for months!

Yeah it really makes you appreciate what you have!! I remember the first time I took some of the kids on a trip to the city; we went to a swimming pool. They were shocked. And amazed by the flushing toilets!
Yeah - people in Ghana also....I love the sense of community spirit we seem to have lost here. Definitely a lesson to be learned! __________________
