We can only eat, then go out and buy more food , that is it. I am so happy we stopped at the shoe store three weeks ago to get new shoes. Two of the kids outgrew their shoes and didn’t tell us, just kept wearing shoes that were getting tighter and tighter!! Now the shoe store is closed
 and I couldn’t imagine trying to buy their shoes online. Passover and Easter will be quite different this year. We usually host Easter dinner, but not this year. My youngest even asked if the Easter bunny won’t be coming around to hide eggs since he might spread the Coronavirus. I assured her Mom and Dad will hide the eggs  |

Ekua thank you for those!! Totally agree with the fridge distancing! Ahhh JJ yes the Easter Bunny . It will be a different Easter this year for sure.My bday is Easter Sunday! __________________

Very different holiday time for sure but it's not forever and this will end. And then the celebrations will be huge!
 The only issue is the incredibly selfish people still traveling, still visiting people etc. The longer people continue to do that the longer this will last! I don't understand why people don't get that. It drives me crazy that people here and not really doing much different  It's horrible not being able to see your family but everyone is in the same boat.....it's just so selfish. __________________

People are sooo selfish! I cant believe they are still going out!
Ugh, every time i cough or my throat is itchy i keep thinking I have it!! Anyone else feel that way?!?! Soooo frustrating to a point that I just want it so I can stop thinking about getting it. __________________

aubie your birthday coming up
 ...we can celebrate here too  My Emily turns 34 on Good Friday. OF course I won't see her Yes sad about not getting together for Easter. I am really thankful this didn't happen in the fall when it would be getting cold ( here where I am anyway it is spring and all the trees are beginning to bloom ….sorry Aussie friends  plus Thanksgiving and Christmas would be even harder to not get together.Ekua I am stuck in this very small bubble....people really not going anywhere.....when we walk if we run into someone we stay at least 6 feet apart. I don't know what is happening elsewhere but one good thing here....podad checks the number of cases reported every day and he told me yesterday that our numbers in Chester county ( very large county too....Liz is in it and she is an hour drive away) at least for the past 3 days have gotten a little less. Hopefully that will continue. Hopefully social distancing doing something. What are you seeing in your area when you look out your window or take a walk if you can? I am thinking you are in a large city correct? How are your numbers. Sending you s I'm glad you are being careful!! I'll be live streaming church in 15 minutes. __________________

We live streamed church while sitting in our living room also Podmom. Three of my four kids were cooperative. The youngest just ran off
to play. Mr JJ and I wore our homemade masks to Costco yesterday for our weekly trip, we were so lucky to get a pack of Lysol spray. Finally eggs were no longer limited so we were able to get a couple of packs enough for one week. But, then they had a limit on bacon and hot dogs?? Only one per member. Strange. I don’t eat them anyway so we are good.Virtual birthdays are odd....I just had one...Mr JJ went to two grocery stores to find me a birthday cake!, so sweet! |

That's good news Podmom. I hope that trend continues in your area.
I live in Bangkok; population around 10 million - but I am around an hour or so from the city centre. Where I live it's like a little suburb I guess, and unfortunately people are not really getting 'social distancing.' The gyms are closed, massage places, nail and hair salons etc, restaurants are take away only, but the weekend food market is still open, and was as busy as ever when I walked past it the other morning  It's difficult also because a lot of people here live on a daily wage, so if they don't go out and sell they don't eat  Impossible situation. Aww JJ happy belated birthday! Glad you managed to get a cake. So much to celebrate once we all can. __________________

Glad to hear an update Podmom! That is like us here too in Toronto...well I'm in the suburb so social distancing to us is easy because everything it so far apart. It's so true, social distancing is such a privilege to some. Others live in places where it is impossible to social distance, like India or same in Thailand too right? Oh Ekua, yeah it is tough when they need to rely on going out to sell to be able to afford food and medicine to stay healthy and strong. So tough. I wish I could help. __________________

Yeah it''s not so easy here....people need to work to get food. And I think some Thai's genuinly don't understand thing properly. It's an impossible situation. But also in the UK people are ignoring the social distancing rules, also in the US. Churches in the Southern states still having massive services ans refusing to stop. Awful, horrible people.
I'm very down about things right now....trying hard to be positive and but it's hard sometimes. Sorry to bring things down! __________________

Ekua It's ok if you are down... we understand. This is a tough time and hard to be far away from home. It would be hard to be where people are suffering unlike most of us that are fortunate to have food and shelter. Hang in there this too shall pass.
