Seriously, every single storyline they set up in S1 that seemed brilliant at the time was ruined from that point on. Just an utter disaster.

OMG i wanted the same thing

it would be really hilarious even if only one of them will get drunk and the other one has to watch him/her while she's/he's doing and saying crazy things

since we have blind date then Max should get his time with a drunk Liz to handle most likely she could seduce him not that she can't (or she didn't) when she is normal even when she wasn't drunk she almost jumped into his pants

Liz didn't need to be drunk for that. She was no prude. That bedroom scene in S3 was teh hotness!

Very unfair, especially considering they were the OTP of the show

I know! I think Melinda Metz (who wrote the Roswell High books and eventually became a writer on the show) said Max/Liz were too pure and didn't really need a love scene or something to that affect. Whatever.

Lame and ridculous. Max/Liz too pure? Maybe in S1, but not in S3. Max wasn't even a virgin.

The show was a perfect example of:

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

But noooo, they tweaked and tweaked and screwed it up.

Granted the chemistry of the group was still there, but the strong stroylines and characterizations they had estabished in season one were just destroyed in season two, and season three felt like a jumble of different things. The show started off about a boy risking his life for the love of someone completely different, and I just wished they had sticked to what they had promised us in the beginning. I wish that instead of taking it to the realm of sci-fi for the second season, they had kept with the feel of the first season. Because although that stuff worked for Buffy, Roswell was an different show based on different principles, at least to me. I wanted to see the humanity of the characters and that regardless of how different one can be, it does not limit anything. I wanted to see the exploration of the idea of being "alien" and how to cope with it. I wanted to see so much more than an uncharacteristic Max sleeping with Tess and getting her pregnant, and how he had to get his son back via spaceship.

But alas, as much as the show frustrated me. It will always be my favorite, and i will always rewatch it... well certian episodes.

And since this is a dreamer thread.

I always loved that shot/scene.
