Hi everyone :wave:,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us :).

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Rae or Mel a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

As for colour, I don't know either...i wouldnt want something that would hurt my eyes.

That link does not work as it just link to Google images but presuming you are referring to the picture being used here that is unusable as the top of his head is cut off. Ideally we would like three matching HQ pictures, as recent as possible, which you like :).

Hmm colours is hard. Something new would be good but i'm so used to this I don't know how i'd feel!

Those colors would go well with the pics from the Shuteye premiere (took place Dec 2016 so they're very recent). Would you need help locating hq pics from that premiere?

If you have picture suggestions please link to them :nod:. It makes our job far easier and that way we know we have the correct pictures. Please keep in mind that not all of the team will be familiar with Jason or know of good places to find pictures of him too ;).

While we can incorporate dark colours into the scheme we no longer do dark boards. That colour scheme would need to be combined with lighter shades.

So...how light would it have to be? An example of what would be acceptable, would help. I do remember the dark threads of the past and to be honest I miss them :( ;)

I actually miss the dark boards too, but I understand why they are lighter.

And Kwiki I was actually going to suggest some darker shades of blue, too :nod:

I was writing a response to this but then the computer decided to shut itself down so I lost it :(.

While I understand that some miss them most found them to be harsh on the eyes, especially when going between light and dark boards. Because of this we no longer have light writing on a dark background. Most posting areas now are white or a very pale shade close to white, with dark text. The darker shades are used for the top bar, buttons, and links. We do not recommend taking a look at other customisations for inspiration as we will not copy another board, however to show you what I mean Scorpionand The Flash both have the darker bars, ect. with softer tones used elsewhere. These are older customisations but Arrow and Teen Wolf. OUAT uses a muted dark shade of a different colour for its areas which makes them all stand out more, while boards such as The 100 and Star Wars use various muted shades of the same/similar colour/s. If you take a look around at boards which have recently been customised you can see how different they all look and get a feel for what we do now. Those were just a couple of boards which came to my mind straight away.

If you like that colour scheme you suggested before I can put together some softer shades which could go with it to see if you like them :)?

Has Jason done any recent photoshoots?

Yes...I see....I mean if no one objects to the scheme we could do that.
Alas Jason has not done a photoshoot in years (other than the pics on his imdb, but I do not know when those were taken). On that note, the only recent pics Jason has are from the two premieres he attend, shuteye and hacksaw Ridge. The problem with that is i've only seen those pics on Gettyimages, wireimage, etc....other sites i've found have watermarks, which are not impossible to remove, but it's slightly unethical to do so...not to mention the damage an unskilled hand could do to the pic itself...

Unfortunately we do not use appearances unless they are of high quality and there are no other options.. Are the ones with watermarks on them over his face? If not then they may still be usable.
