I have 2 weeks at Easter; meeting Mum and youngest sister in Vietnam. Then 6 weeks in summer

Ok that's good!! Wow 2 weeks at Easter...I only get Good Friday off.
 I wish I could take summer off...but I work through it...which is ok cause then I can catch up on things. __________________

Yeah....it's a real perk of teaching!
There is a summer school program they have here which I might do for a week......pay is very good!! Can't wait for Vietnam. Think i'm going to book a food tour for us; my mum has said she'd happy to ride on the back of a scooter!  How many weeks a year do you get off work? __________________

I only get 3 weeks off.
my hubby gets 4. It took me a while too, to get up to 3 weeks, for so long it was only 2 weeks. Ohhh so exciting to go to Vietnam!! I love their food! Food tour sounds sooo good! You've been there already right? your mom on a scooter....__________________

Vietnam traffic is insane (so I've seen from Househunter International) - Drive safely!

We’re not going to be driving though; someone else drives the scooters! you just hold on! I take motorbike taxis a lot over here. Probably not the safest but it beats sitting in traffic for hours! Yeah my mum loves all sorts of travel. She travelled all over Ghana with me, using local transport etc. She’s great. __________________

My husband only had 2 weeks off forever..:. Maybe 20 years? The Olden days . He was up to 5 at the end maybebthe last 10 years but he mostly didn’t use them all. Now he is enjoying not working . He went skiin today stopping here where I am at .Liz’s on his way home for the afternoon/evening. Yes same vacations as kids probably the biggest reason I majored in education. Figured if I had to work I would have that perk. Glad I eneded up “ retireing” after one year . Thanks podad! __________________

Oh wow 20 years with just 2 weeks?? I thought my 6 years of 2 weeks was long.
I always think back now how i survived with just 2 weeks when the 3 weeks i get now is not long enough. Yes those countries are pretty scary for driving. My family was actually discussing what we'll do when we get to get to the other provinces and we all wanted to do the boat ride instead of driving for 5 hours because it's scary.  __________________

What? Only 2 weeks?
In the UK you get 6 weeks or so a year paid leave! People definitely need proper holiday time! __________________

Yup!! Just 2 weeks!!
I wish we could live and work in the UK. But my hubby would miss hockey so much. His friend lives in London and has to watch hockey at 1am. __________________
