I use to play the clarinet!! I was a band geek too!!

I always wanted to be a band geek but was too shy to try out!

Christmas piano music in my class now - so lovely!

I was interested in the flute, trumpet and saxophone.

No I don't play anymore, but really wish I still did.

But I don't own one, I always just borrowed the one from school.

I was only in band because I took music class and I knew everyone. There wasn't any audition or anything...it's just if you can play you are in! :lol:

I loved how our music teacher would let us try an instrument once a week so I got to be a drummer, bass guitar and saxophone player for a bit!

Yeah no audition for me either! If you signed up to play an instrument you automatically were in the band. Mind all borrowed from the school too ;)

I was in Choir and got into guitar in my hippie years. I got pretty good too. Once I had a baby that kinda shot that. I picked it up again about 10 years ago for a while and even took lessons from a friend of mine that has played in a band around here since we were all young. then got too busy again. At this point the hobby I need to get back to more is water colors...not doing that either :rolleyes:

I tried so hard to learn the guitar but it just wasn't happening. All 3 of my brothers can play though. The jerks :pout: :lol:

I didn't realize you had 3 brothers!! You the only girl? That's a lot of boys :)

Yep! 2 older and 1 younger. My childhood was eventful :lol:

I wish I had a brother! I have 2 sisters....3 girls is not a good thing! :lol:

I love music but am such an awful singer!! :lol:

My mom is the oldest of her siblings. She has two sisters and a brother and every time I complained about not having a sister she'd tell me stories about how rough it was growing up with them. She dealt with her sisters stealing her clothes and stuff. I dealt with brothers putting frogs in my dresser and belching in my face :lol:

I'm the same way! I love music but I can't sing a bit :lol:

I've always loved to sing...even as a child. I bet you guys can actually sing. :)

My BF before podad could play guitar too and we used to play together which was fun. He was better than me so he'd figure chords out ...I still have music he wrote out for me.

My Elizabeth plays clarinet. She loved it...she was first chair in the all state high school band. I miss the days of going to her concerts. I made Emily play flute...she was good but didn't love it. She was first chair in her HS but didn't make it to all state. She did play guitar for a while. Walter ( Elizabeth's husband) now has her guitar. He is really good and sings great. He grew up in Nashville and he and his sister used to gig a little.

I miss my sister :(
