TV/Magazine Appearances #16: Because We're Ready To See Taylor Everywhere
TAYLOR KITSCH TV/MAGAZINE APPEARANCES "For all his chiseled beauty, Riggins—Kitsch, too, for that matter— doesn't seem in the least vain or self-regarding. Peter Berg, FNL's creator, describes Kitsch as "a guy who's won the genetic lottery, only he doesn't know it." I disagree with Berg. I think Kitsch does know it. He just refuses to let it go to his head, to **** him up." Taylor Kitsch Lives Up to Our Fantasies "But the 32-year-old British Columbia native possesses a surprising absence of vanity. Kitsch bought a home in Austin while filming FNL, and still lives there, ducking the Hollywood spotlight as much as possible. When I met up with him in New York, he wore a T-shirt and jeans to a luxury hotel lounge and asked if I was planning to "get some grub." He's remarkably grounded, with a ready laugh and a tendency to pepper his speech with the word ****in'." Taylor Kitsch - Page - Interview Magazine "Oh, God, I could give you a million reasons why not L.A. I know actors that love the celebrity. For me, it's tough because you're doing six months of press. That's why you put all the work in and almost ****ing kill yourself, because if you've got to talk about it a million times, you'd better be proud. And I can't work. I lost a job that I wish I could have been a part of—three scenes in a character-driven movie that I'd murder to be a part of. But you sound like you're playing the violin when you say it. Relationships and friends go to the wayside. You get angry because it's press that's pulling you and not the work. And how do you ****ing build a relationship with a gal that you care for and say, "Hey, I'm going to be gone for eight weeks. I expect you to have the same feelings as right now in eight weeks. But I'll be in Japan, Russia, Spain..." You can't expect it. It's unfair. I think I chose to build in Austin because, in Austin, I can come and escape and be myself." Taylor Made for Texas | GQ |

There are probably going to be a lot of short interviews today, they were doing a bunch of morning shows.
He said on one that he didn't adopt the dog because he couldn't give her the time or attention she needed to be a "good parent" at the moment. He said he was also in Africa for WildAid so that's cool too. Last edited by worthyoflove; 09-07-2017 at 01:12 PM |

It's always with the Michael question. I saw a bunch of their interviews from this morning literally every one of them they were asked about Michael and/or doing their own stunts.

I mean, they sat there for probably two hours straight going from station to station answering the same questions. After a late night last night it had to be pretty tedious.

I didn't get to reply to these in the last thread so I'm bringing them over there.

I also really liked Dylan's answer about today's movie business and wanting to do/see different types of movies. It's why I loved Wind River so much -- there are no superheroes or serial killers, it's just a really well-written drama with great acting, about realistic people. Michael Keaton is basically a legend at this point, so they should've known they'd be asked that. Unless he's a total jerk in real life, they need to just say, "He was great," or like KiKi said, not play the "he's terrible, we're sick of the question" thing so long. Dylan made everyone uncomfortable in the Build Series video, because it honestly came off as him not liking Keaton. Who knows, maybe he doesn't really like him. Taylor was hilarious on CBS This Morning when, asked what he learned from Keaton, he said, "I'm actually WORSE now." Last edited by KitscherSunk; 09-07-2017 at 11:53 PM |

I need to watch the BUILD series again. I still only saw it the once when it first aired. I knew he was more thoughtful in his answers but I'd like to hear them again.
Also cool to hear he was there in Africa not only supporting ACChoir but also WildAid. The BUILD Series answer about Michael was uncomfortable. You're right, that was maybe the first time I wondered if there was a bit of a rift there. But who knows... I thought I'd posted this clip but guess not. Taylor asked if he adopted the puppy. YOU GUYS he did another happy sad confused podcast with Josh. My heart can't handle this!
A few different links not sure what will work for you guys. https://megaphone.link/PPY6288677304 http://www.mtv.com/news/podcasts/happy-sad-confused/ Some highlights so far... -Five weeks until he moves into the house -Talks about Waco, he calls his hair a "Kentucky Waterfall", Taylor almost pulled out from the series five weeks prior to start, had already lost 25 lbs, some things he doesn't agree with with Koresh. He wasn't sure he could justify doing the series and playing him. Listened to 40 plus hours of interviews to prep. We'll see a 30 second teaser and stills in 3 weeks. It premieres January 24th. -Took Dylan out on the boat when he was in Austin after they were incredibly hungover. -Into casting Pieces, he says they have three actors but it sounds like he's a lead too. Filming in Texas and Detroit. -Josh wants him to do a comedy, he says he wants to. Does say that Chris is the comedy in OTB, he's the comedy relief in the movie. -They agree they need to get Michael Shannon and Taylor in for Waco, it sounds like it's going to happen. My dream come true. -And the podcast literally ends with Taylor telling Josh "dick pics in route" I mean... Last edited by worthyoflove; 09-07-2017 at 10:49 PM |

That's awesome! Now lets hope he gets to do "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen!
The podcast is also up on iTunes now, btw. I can't wait to download it and listen! https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/...827905050?mt=2 Awww, I think he genuinely fell for Missy. Look at his face when he's talking about her! That's so cute. I'm sure someone else adopted her by now though so she found a home. And I agree, it's awesome that he was/is working with WildAid as well. It would be great if he did a documentary on poaching. Also, a big high-five to her for asking that question! Has anyone ever asked him that before (whether he had anything to say to his fans)? Thanks for finding all these interviews! |

Unfortunately, Watch What Happens Live's schedule is up for next week and no Taylor.
The podcast is great. He should do a six month check in with Josh because he gets all the info out of him. I'm putting this here because it's in the news thread, but I also don't want anyone to miss it. He talks about it a bit in the podcast, or at least his mutual bro love for Joseph Kosinski. |
