As part of the draw to watch it on DirecTV, because it aired like two or three months earlier on DirecTV then on NBC, was that the DirecTV versions didn't have commercials and were about 45 to 50 minutes long. So each episode had one or two extra scenes that inevitably were cut from the version that eventually aired on NBC a few months later.

The one that sticks out in my mind most, being the Tim/Lyla shipper was the episode that they took JD to the party. In the scene where he's drunk at the party and Tim and Lyla are making him leave it cuts when they're walking out, but on DirecTV it continued on and JD was drunkenly telling Lyla how beautiful she was and how beautiful her and Tim babies would be. It was pretty funny.

It's a mic. They were wiring him up for the shot.

There were actually some pictures of him pretending to fall off the cliff. And I don't know if that was just him being silly or if that was written in the script and then scrapped.

It's literally him with his arms wide apart leaning back in a chair looking like he's falling over the cliff. I don't know if that picture still exists on the internet.
