They had a few former NHLers, but yeah to just put it together last minute and some guys not playing that they thought were going to play they played well. If they played with just 4 D-men, that's a lot of playing time for him. No wonder he had to ice those legs.

He does seem happy! And looks healthy! He always seems so in his element at hockey events. That's a glimpse of what he would have looked like in his alternate career.

I was going to say maybe they were just there for the fun and outcome didn't matter, but then I saw a comment Taylor made in response to one of the other team's players and the post his friend Derek made about bringing their own refs and pretty sure there was some saltiness between these two teams.

#5 on the Suns or Wolves?
I mean technically if you played for money even if it's a minor league you're considered a pro. The Wolves had a few ex-NHLers, some played at big universities like Michigan or University of Massachusetts. Glancing at the Suns roster, most played pro or junior, but I don't see any ex-NHLers on their roster. |

I'm not sure who #5 was. The box scores didn't list numbers and they didn't have a roster listed anywhere. In the post above #5 isn't tagged with an instagram so I can't even stalk him that way.

I was actually watching NHL Tonight and saw him drop the puck live. I didn't know that he was doing play-by-play but I've seen his play-by-play put over video of minor league goals from friends of mine and it's never not hilarious.

My best friend's 7 year old just went to his first ice hockey practice and apparently, he's pretty good. I just CANNOT imagine her as a hockey mom. She is so ANTI establishment. She's going to hate it. Either that or she will shock us all and go all in.

The hockey community is a tight community. I mean there are always crazy hockey mom's but they're maybe the most level headed out of all the sport mom's, in my opinion. There's always an exception to the rule.
I for sure would want to get my kids into hockey, but then I think about 5 a.m. ice times and may have to rethink that. |
