I will say, this finals just feels so different, it's the lack of fans. It's hard for me to get into.

I don't know who to root for either. I like both teams but have reasons I wouldn't want either to win too.

Yes. And that is the extent of my knowledge about it.

I was most definitely pulling for Dallas on Saturday night in OT. I'm always rooting for a series to go as far as it can. So I'll be rooting for Dallas tonight in hopes that they force a game 7. I would feel kind of bad if Tampa Bay won, just because I love Yzerman and he had a big hand in putting that team together before he left to come back to the Red Wings. So I don't know how I'd feel about the team he essentially built winning the cup and he won't get a ring for it.

Dallas lost. So sad.

I was bummed too but all in all, it was a good series. Congrats to Tampa Bay!!!!

Now, the question I have is, what about the next season? Normally it would be starting now. What are they going to do going forward?

I think December is the date they're aiming to start the new season. At least that's what I think I saw the last time I looked into it. They have to give the playoff teams a few months off before getting back into it.

The draft is in the next few days, the 6th and the 7th.

Reading articles in the next few days, the start of the next season is up in the air. Not that it's not going to happen but it's start date. Sounds like it might be closer to January. Though it does sound like as soon as October 15th teams will be opening their training facilities and rinks to players.

He still wants to play. The Rangers were just letting him go. He'll probably sign with a contender. I'd say come to the Wings, we need a veteran goalie while we wait for the young ones to season! But he needs to go somewhere where he can win the cup.

I'm not sure if it was just a rumor I read, but I heard he was going to sign with the Capitals.

If so, not great news for NY fans (I'd think)?

That's the rumor on the street, though that's been the rumor for a few days and still nothing. But they're probably just negotiating.
