Oh gosh. Now I'm interested in going to check that out.

Awh no I think K9's should get to go to their handlers home when they are retired.. I hate to think of what happens if they can't adjust to a new handler or after their retirement. Heard some pretty bad horror stories. That should get the word out and give ya some good Feedback, thus drawing in more attention hopefully! but aggravating about the late client! |

I didn't know about the two different mailboxes. That's funny!
It's raining here, and I love it. Jimmy Fallon is taping at UT tonight. I don't know where the communication breakdown us... NBC or UT, but they did a horrendous job of letting the students know how to obtain tickets. OM is annoyed. Me too. It would have been so fun for her to go. __________________

I was keeping an eye on the guest list for the Jimmy episode. It looks like Matthew and Chip and Joanna Gaines. Very predictable.
We had our first snow today, not just flurries but actually snow on the ground, this might suck to drive in kind of snow. It feels a bit early, but I say that every year. I'm more annoyed it's not going to be over 35 degrees today. It's definitely too early for THAT. We've had 70 degree Thanksgivings before. The normal mailboxes are usually buried in snowbanks so they have to have a second that's up higher that can be accessible. Up at our cottage we just have a PO Box in town. |

That's funny about the mailboxes. They should just not bother with the lower one.
I broke down and put the heat on. The first time always reminds me of a weekend that I came home from college and my parents weren't home. I turned the heat on in the house and took a nap. When I woke up the whole downstairs was filled with smoke. I called my friend who was a firefighter and he was like... "UH Dumbass... call the fire department!" But I just shut the heat off and went back to bed! He was murdered on 9-11, but every fall I think of him when I turn the heat on. __________________

I always have that worry that when I go to turn on the furnace something isn't going to be right and surprise surprise when I turned it on the other night I thought it was working, I woke up yesterday morning to a freezing house so it very clearly wasn't working. I called my family friend/handyman and yeah, chipmunks got in through the outside ventilation system, chewed through the plastic slits that are supposed to keep them out and had nested in there. They'd decided to chew on some cables too. Luckily it was only a $300 fix. It could have been much worse.
You usually can't reach the higher mailboxes when there's not snow...the snow pack gives you an extra three to four feet off the ground so that's why they have two. Was he one of the first responders on 9/11 or literally murdered on that date? |

He was murdered by terrorists. He was there for his business, got all his coworkers out, and went back in to help the firefighters. He was a volunteer firefighter/chief in our town. __________________

I'm sorry, that is the worst. So many good people died that day.
I feel like I need to have my ducts cleaned now for sure. |

It starts getting dark around 4pm here and it's really dark by about 4.30. It's rubbish!
I'm basically sick to death of hearing about the General Election and there are still 5 weeks to go! My husband is 40 on the 12th December . . . The day boris decides to hold the election! I haven't really been up to much lately. Just sewing and working. My life is not very rock and roll! |

Chipmunks are a nuisance.
9-11 sucks. So sorry you lost your friend. Is he the one that y’all go out to remember on 9-11? 4:30 is too early for it to be dark. Yuck! My cousin’s wife is in England right now. She goes once a year to visit her family. I want to sew! I need to move my table and machine upstairs to my room. I think I’d use it more than where it is now. Y’all know I love Jimmy... but what the heck is he wearing?!? The pics of him in all black “cowboy” gear... Austin is NOT Ft.Worth. And you look like a Hollywood caricature of a cowboy. Failon fail. I think he should have had Taylor on! Chip and Jojo are Waco and Baylor... not Austin or UT. And I LOVE Chip and Jojo. It was 64 this morning and 48 by the time I picked up OM. She didn’t take a jacket and was freezing! We came home and made hot chocolate and watched Frozen. __________________

I'm not a huge fan of Chip and Joanna...nothing against them personally, I just feel like every remodel on their show is the same open concept. I prefer Property Brothers or Love it or List it.
I don't usually watch Jimmy unless Taylor is on, so it sounds like I won't be missing much. It was barely 35 today. I see highs of 20's in the forecast next week which is ridiculous. |

Amanda, I’m so glad to hear the good news about your cousin! Continued prayers for him.
Royalnation, you MUST start voting! It’s your duty as an American. Assuming you’re a woman (apologies if you aren’t), look at it this way: Too many women fought and sacrificed so much for you to have the right to vote. Sorry, I don’t know your circumstances and I don’t mean to be pushy. I just feel very strongly about it. Speaking of elections, Emma, is Britain going to do better this time lol or is another Boris Johnson type expected to win? I couldn’t get into season one of Castle Rock so I gave up, maybe prematurely. I started season 2 though because I really like Lizzy Caplin. Amanda, your work situation from last week sounds exactly like something that happened to me last week! Unlike you, I’m too much of a coward to just walk out so I just held all the anger in. The situation continued into this week, through no fault of mine, and I ended up home sick today with a stomach thing. I think it’s a manifestation of all the stress at work. I saw Parasite, and it is just as good as you’ve heard. SO good. SO GOOD. See it if you get the chance. |

Yup, snowing and cold. I got dressed this morning then looked at my phone and had to reevaluate when I saw it was only 29 degrees. It's just too early for this.
Lornette, trust me when I saw I normally would have stayed but I drove myself into such a panic I had to leave. I couldn't even function, that's two panic attacks I've had this year. It's so hard to wrap my head around the idea that I can't control my anxiety any longer. I hate it. I was gripped by Castle Rock right away, I think after the first few episodes it's kind of lost some steam but it's still good. I'll watch it until the end. It feels very Stephen King as it obviously is but there are a few characters that I just can't stand and one episode was very heavily carried by her and I almost fast forwarded through it. I'm looking forward to season 2 though. I've heard good things about Parasite. My brother saw The Lighthouse and sang its praises. Starting to get into my time of year for movies when all the Oscar/Awards season screeners come out and I run through them all in a matter of days. A childhood friend I hadn't seen in awhile I met up with the other night and she revealed to me she'd had a miscarriage over the summer, that she was almost six months along and miscarried. I don't know if it's just because I'm at that age where all my friends are having babies, but the number of them that have had late term miscarriages is startling. Maybe people just don't openly talk about it but early miscarriages, sure, I knew were common. I can count at least five friends, even a few who have had to deliver stillborn, that have had late term miscarriages. It's so sad. Last edited by worthyoflove; 11-08-2019 at 11:09 AM |

It's supposed to be 30 here tonight. Playoff games begin tonight for states. Its going to be freezing. We are all hysterical laughing because my mom never goes to any outdoor events if it's below like 60. But she's coming tonight because she knows it could be his last game ever. My dad is putting her in a snowsuit. lol __________________

Miscarriages are just a taboo subject. I wish it wasn’t. I feel, like it’s a silent suffer and more people need to know it’s not just them. Lornette, I’m sorry work is stressful! Please don’t make yourself sick. __________________
