Ha ha! Yes, I'm still here!

Amanda I had no idea what 'Retribution' was, so I googled it and realise that I've seen it, but for some reason the title has been changed. It was called 'One of Us' when it originally aired.

Congratulations Kayla on staying in pyjamas all weekend . . . Living the dream!

We watched 3 episodes of When They See Us tonight. Absolutely brutal! Bobby wanted to watch the last one but, given the fact that it was already 1am, I had to decline!

Good to hear Lornette is still about too.

Yes! I looked for the series to look it up online and saw that it had a poster that said 'One of Us' I was so confused. I thought it was like an anthology series or something.

I watched the first episode of When They See Us and vowed to go back to it but it was just too hard. I should go back and watch it though. It's kind of like Chernobyl, it's quality tv but so hard to take in because it's so heartbreaking.

OM and I watched the entire series. Heart wrenching! It gutted us.

'One of Us'/Retribution was good, though only 4 episodes and I felt like that could easily have been a few more episodes long. Not the ending I was anticipating.

I wish Netflix and Hulu would get it together and put out some new series', Fall is absolutely the beginning of my binge watching/hibernation period and both are falling down on the job with putting new content out there. Fall used to mean all these new shows, but I just have no interest in network TV shows that are premiering.

I haven't watched this yet. I'm debating because I know that it will be brutal. I remember when it all happened.

I plan to stay in my pjs all weekend this weekend. It has been about 2 months where I have had a day with nothing to do. Im thankful to be so busy but sometimes enough is enough. This past weekend I went to a chili cook-off at Jon Bon Jovi's restaurant and he showed up with his wife! He took the time to talk to everybody... which is usually not his M.O. because some of his fans are ****ing nuts! There was a girl besides me that I literally wanted to punch. She was shaking... literally trembling when he came by her... she was following him around and he finally had to tell her ENOUGH. Unfortunately, I was standing by her so I got screwed but I did sneak in the back of my friends picture and was able to say a few words to him.

Then Sunday was the Mr Robot premiere event in Coney Island. AMAZING! None of the actors were there but it was still a great day. It was held at a Brewery and they had a special Mr Robot IPA and gave out F Society masks. It was a good time. Then they showed the premier about 5 hours before the rest of the country got to see it. It was cool to be in the room with like 200 other Mr Robot fans. A good time.

I always feel super guilty pulling an all day in PJs day. In fact I don't do it, ever, I'll at least get a shower in and put on comfy clothes but if I don't go out and do something I feel guilty about it...I'm trying to work on not feeling guilty about just doing nothing. I feel like we're so conditioned that we always need to be doing something productive.

That's so cool about Jon Bon Jovi. I don't get people that freak. I mean I get being exhilarated and nervous but they are humans. An odd calm just comes over me. I was actually legitimately worried about it when I did work in the hockey world and met and had to work with some notable ex-Red Wings that I grew up watching. My biggest worry is offending someone I love or admire so I'd rather just not bother them.

The PJs weekend was glorious! It's also such a rare gem. I've always had a hard time just stopping and doing nothing. It's not heroic and it's not healthy. And even in my PJs I was sorting, emptying, rearranging, breaking down boxes. I did manage to not do anything work-related, so win? I dunno. Baby steps. I just didn't leave the house, and I loved it. This coming weekend, no such luxury. I think we're going to go to Six Flags in San Antonio for Fright Fest on Saturday. The high is 70!! Oh yes!! Tomorrow it's 91 and Thursday is 96, but Friday is 69 and 80% chance of rain! Bring it on!

We ARE conditioned to just go go go. SO unlike any other place in the world. Everyone else seems to understand the recharge value of resting. Americans, not so much.

The BIG game of the season is Saturday in Dallas, UT vs. OU. Last week's game was out of town too. The same weekends as ACL. I don't think that's an accident.

I found the cutest ballet flats! I ordered them online, BUT I'm pretty certain they will be a pretty close match to UT burnt orange. So, I'll have a cute pair of shoes to go with my baseball hats. They look like dupes for Tieks. They have the same soles, leather, pretty colors, etc. We'll see! They were way less than Tieks, so I hope I love them.

I have two loaves of a Starbucks pumpkin bread clone in the oven. They smell soooo good!
I have made this recipe for years and it never disappoints.

I also broke down and lit the white pumpkin candle I bought in August. It smells fantastic! I am so ready for fall!! Can you tell?!?

KiKi, I hate that the over-excited fan messed up your moment. That is not cool.
But you still got to say hi, so that's nice. He seems like a really nice person.

So cool about Mr. Robot!! Do you know yet which episode you're in?

We have This is Us, The Resident, and Grey's back! Woo-hoo!

I blame my go go go on my dad. Like it was unacceptable in my house growing up to just be sitting around and wasting a day watching TV. My dream day, to be honest. But he would always be, "what are you doing today?" you should go outside...yeah, dad, I just spent a week at school and nightly soccer practices, if I want a few hours to veg out I can do that. But yeah, not in my dad's DNA.

Speaking of DNA I found out yesterday I'm a descendant of Thomas Putnam, the guy responsible for the Salem Witch Trials. I can pinpoint that exact moment that our family lost our wealth as he was disinherited and his father, also in my blood line, was the richest man in Salem at the time. I mean come on, get it together. That part of my family came from Devonshire, England. My dad sent me a full report on all of this yesterday.

I think I have a white pumpkin candle in my house somewhere but it's meant to be a gift. But if it hangs around long enough I'm going to steal it.

I love Starbucks' banana bread. I've never had their pumpkin bread.

Ballet flats never work for me for some reason, they always pinch my toes.

My dad is a go go go kinda guy too. He's slowed down a bit since he retired. He made the kids get up by 8 AM EVRY day of summer when we lived with them after Lee died. It was awful.

Very cool about the DNA! How did your dad find that out?

I found my candle at Marshall's. It's from Scentsational. I've never heard of them, but I love this scent! It's a natural coconut wax blend. Burns super smooth, and made in the USA, the company's in Florida established in 1998.

Starbucks makes pretty good bread. This one has an entire can of pumpkin in one loaf. Which, side note, isn't really pumpkin at all. 100% solid packed pumpkin is actually a blend of winter squashes and contains zero pumpkin. Who knew. It's a copycat recipe, but it does a really good job of getting it right!

This will be my first pair of ballet flats. I've wanted a pair of Tieks for years now and couldn't justify their price tag. I paid 80.00 for the ones I ordered; way less than the 175.00 Tieks start at. The reviews said the toe box was roomy. We shall see. I'm pretty much a flip flop kinda girl. I have a pair of tie-up Converse I never wear and a pair of slip-on Converse with elastic at the heel. I don't even pull that up over my heels, I slip them on like mules. I don't have fantastic arches... but I wear flat shoes with no support all the time. I did see a FB ad for an arch support sock yesterday and wondered if it would help. Again, I don't really have shoes that would accommodate a sock. I digress. I want to love them, so I hope I do.

I've been dying to do the DNA kits to find out information like that. I may get it for my nephew for Christmas this year because he is really into it too.

I wear ballet flats all winter. Boots pinch my toes. I do have one pair of ankle boots that I wear a lot but even they hurt after a while.

Nope. We still don't know what episode of Mr. Robot that we are in. In a second trailer there was one of the scenes we saw being filmed but not the one that we are in.

You're adoring fans what to know!

Y'all. So far, so good on my Instant Pot yogurt. I'm waiting for the milk to cool to 110, then I can set the pot for 8 hours and see what I have in the morning! I'm really excited!

So he actually got a lead through ancestry and connected with someone on his mom's side that had done extensive research into my dad's mom's family. My grandmother's maiden name was Putnam...I'm 11 generations removed from the Thomas Putnam from the Salem Witch trials. But because there was someone so prominent in our family tree it was easier to track his lineage back even further to someone who was the MP of Windsor Castle, for King Edward III whom he served under until he died, Sir Thomas Foxley.

It's kind of crazy, but super interesting. I got him the DNA kit in hopes that it would connect us with someone on my dad's father's side because that family has a super murky/sketchy/questionable past when they came over from Germany and we think he left a family behind there....but nothing on that front, yet.

I bought some new Tom's ankle boots last week and kind of love them. I might have to go get them in a darker color. I got a taupe kind of color which I love but might need them in brown or black.

I get wanting teenagers up and out of bed at a certain point, like, you're not up by 11 or noon that's a problem. But man, I remember being such a night owl as a teen...there's no way I could be up at 8 a.m. every summer day. Though I guess I was though some summers because I did nanny.

I bought Trader Joe's banana bread mix today, though then I thought that's dumb, I actually have a really good recipe I could make from scratch. Then I saw pumpkin oatmeal chocolate chip cookie mix and had to buy that too. So safe to say my clean eating is definitely taking a break this week. I went out to dinner tonight and ate giant tacos and we sat next to the Detroit Lions broadcaster and his "date", he's also a local sports guy, and my friend and I had fun texting back and forth...girlfriend or daughter? all night because she looked like she was 25. I think it was his daughter, I hope it was. I've always liked him.

Yes! I hope you show up in Mr. Robot so then I can .gif you. It'll be fun.

My mom's sister did a lot of genealogy work on their families. My great-grandpa (grandma's dad) came to America from Italy when he was 3. My grandpa's family traced back to the Mayflower. She did all this pre-internet and DNA kits. She had all the work in the trunk of her car and the car was stolen. They recovered it at some point, but all her work was gone.

My dad's SIL has worked on his family genealogy. Then of course, I have my biological history as well. A great-great-grandfather (on my mom's side) was 100% Native American. Maybe it was just one great. I dunno. I can't remember. ANYWAY... I think it's so so interesting. Lee's aunt (on his mom's side) has traced family back to France. She's even been to France to meet them.

My yogurt is looking fantastic! I'm straining the whey now.

Why do you strain the whey? Just curious, I actually take whey protein daily in shakes. Do you use it for something else or just dispose of it?
